Not sure how they do it but quite possible the best scone I ever had!! Flaky and tasty every bite amazing! Would have given 5 however the lemon blueberry bread was a moist yet lacked in flavor. Lots of blueberries no lemon to be found. I do recommend was glad to be told about this gem.

The owner and general manager of The Gingered Peach need to educate themselves about good customer service. I love baked goods from The Gingered Peach. The reason why I'm leaving a bad review is because of unpleasant experience I had with the general manager. I'm a regular customer there who gets cinnamon buns every week with many other baked goods. I got the cinnamon bun as usual today, but unlike other days it was dry even in the center part of the bun. It was so dry that I seriously thought that it was from yesterday. So I talked to the nice guy who was at the cashier, and he offered to give me another one from the freshly baked tray. And all the sudden the general manager came and said "WHAT'S WRONG WITH IT?" with such an attacking tone. The employ reply that it tastes dry, and she said "BUT IT'S HALF EATEN!" (I'm writing what she said with capital letters because that is the tone how she talks to the customers). I explained to her that I had a first bite of outer edge and it was dry, so I took another bite of the center hoping that it will be softer, but it still was dry. Her reply was so defensive, and I told her I'm a regular customer and have cinnamon bun very often and that they were always moist and soft in the inside. Ignoring what I said, she turned away from me and started talking to the employ who offered me new cinnamon bun and told him not to do it again when I was still right in front of her. I'm not leaving a negative review about the dry cinnamon bun - maybe they over baked a little or it was from the early morning and it was dried by midday. I'm leaving a negative review because of the unpleasant attitude of the general manager and her unwillingness to listen to customers' voice. I've seen this general manager whenever I go there, and I noticed how mean and rude she is to customers and people who work there and I always wondered "why is she so unpleasant to the customers and employees?" and I felt the same way about the owner too. Everyone else who work there are so nice and friendly. It's the owner and the general manager are the ones that leave bad taste in your mouth. Owner and general manager of The Gingered Peach, you may know how to bake, but you need to educate yourselves about good customer service.

I came in for the first time yesterday. I bought one of each pastries behind glass. It was awsome, fresh, tasty. I would recommend this bakery. I'm about 20 min away and would travel again to come get more goodies.

Tyease Bryant

Great atmosphere, open, friendly service. Delicious pastries.

Britton Shinn

Awesome food! Worth the trip for sure.

Mark Maslanka

Amazing high quality baked goods you can't get anywhere else these days

JM P

Floored with the QUALITY of all of her baked goods. The Gingered Peach could teach a thing or two to the supposed much acclaimed bakeries in Princeton! No cheap flour or commercial mixes here and it tastes like your Grandma's kitchen because that's where she started and continues to bake like it even today! Absolutely DELICIOUS. I live 30 minutes away and will gladly make the trip! Worth every mile. YUMMMM!!. 5 STARS!

Eric Vector

Excellent variety of baked goods , scone I had was delicious!

Lynn Kaiser

The best bakery I've found!

Paul Brabant

The best sticky bun I've had anywhere. Great selection of other goodies, and the Cifre is good too.

Dorothy Kersey

Are the cupcakes getting smaller? Regularly buy two cupcakes every visit. Today, when I got home and opened the container, they were both turned over on the side. I wondered how this happened because it never occurred before. Then I realized that they were smaller than the opening.

Sarah Chu

I love this place! I come oftwn for breakfast pastries and sweets. I would definitely recommend the zucchini walnut bread and the croissants.

A.L. Potter

Delicious and fresh baked goods. I followed Joanne from her previous place and was so happy when she opened up The Gingered Peach!

Melissa Aviles

Most amazing bakery!

Brandon Radcliffe

This is the best bakery I've ever been to in my life

Mitch Paroly

Excellent baked goods, tough to find parking.

My experience overall is variable and very disappointing. This poor review is not for the taste of the goods as i don't have any complaints there. In the past when we ordered a cake for my son's birthday they mixed the days and no cake was made. They rushed a specialty cake that we ordered adding alot of stress to an already busy day. Today when picking up a cake for my wife's birthday I am agaun very disappointed. Spoke with the cake designer in detail about the theme and what I wanted on the cake. Unfortunately the cake ended up just saying happy birthday on it with a small tiny thing added on. Truthfully could have gotten a better designed cake off the shelf from another place. Unfortunate because we have also had great cakes made by them. I don't think I could trust them with an important occasion again.

Dominick Napodano

Amazing bakery. Everything is always so tasty!

Crystal Paek

Their croissants and donuts are THE best in this area. I can’t find donuts like theirs unless I drive to Philly. My favorite croissant is the Ham and Swiss croissant because I like savory, but their chocolate croissant is delicious as well. Their kitchen sink cookie is also the best I’ve tasted - it’s not as greasy as other ones and the best part is that they have ground up espresso beans in it to give it a smoky mocha flavor. And the cookie is half the size of my face! I also love how flexible they are with ordering customized cakes. They have so many delicious and beautiful options. The process is simple, straightforward, and they give you high-quality cake for your money’s worth.

Amanda Duspiva

Cute, yummy, seasonal treats!! Awesome vegan options

The cupcakes are always amazing and my personal favorite is the ham & Swiss croissant. The staff are always friendly. I purchased my daughter's birthday cake last year and they did a great job making the cake look like the face of her favorite Ninja Turtle!

Omelan Stryzak

Great place for sweet and savory treats! Love the ham-n-swiss croissant. Expect a wait/crowd during busy times (Google can help) but it's worth it!

I struggled internally as to whether or not I was going to write this review but I don’t want my experience to happen to anyone else. I was hired by the gingered peach and fired 4 days later. The supposed reasons for my termination were, a customer said I was rude, which I know never happened because I was far too busy trying to learn to do that and I’m by no means a rude person. Here’s where it gets really bizarre. The owner (who I almost never saw) told me after I asked her for a detailed reason for my termination that she had been observing me in a 20-30 minute period she was in the store and I looked angry while I was just putting things away and doing daily work....This woman who claims she has so much experience hiring people told me I was losing my job because of my face..... To say I was shocked to actually hear an adult say that is an understatement. She also sites that I wasn’t able to “break down a line” fast enough........I worked there for FOUR DAYS. Wednesday and Friday. I’m not writing this to ruin anyone’s name but for someone to tell me that they can tell I’m a bad fit in 4 days because I didn’t have everything down is ridiculous. She claims to have “data” that allows her to know if someone will be good enough or not this quickly from previous years of being a hiring supervisor or something along those lines which, obviously is an insane thing to actually believe. You don’t even know who I am as a person at that point. At the end of all of this I think I’m most shocked that a factor in my termination was the way my face looks when I’m concentrating. That, is unacceptable. If you’re going there for good food it’s delicious but If you want to work there be prepared to be expected to know the ropes in a matter of four days or less. The owner even admitted to me that she probably just lost a good employee. Personally I think someone else wanted to come back and it was dump the new girl but who knows. Bottom line is no one can possibly be good at anything in 4 days and you absolutely don’t discriminate against people’s faces when at rest, that’s got to be one of the most insane things I’ve ever heard ... if you read this and find yourself flabbergasted, join the club. -There isn’t anything to go back and fourth about. Yes you spoke of that job as a possibility because you wanted someone full time when I was looking for part time. But then you chose me out of the other people who interviewed and immediately put me on the front end which I was fine with. I even asked the last day I worked if I could work the early morning shift and a weekend to get a feel for even more, you agreed happily but I never got the chance because I was fired before you could possibly know anything about me. I’m not sure how you would expect anyone to take “but you can fold boxes” after stating my face as a reason I was terminated and telling me it would be a better fit for someone and I quote in my “condition” referring to my anxiety that I disclosed to you I had during my interview. I’m still trying to wrap my head around the fact that someone in a manager role actually said and did the things you did. Beyond the fact that it’s discrimination and totally unprofessional. It also is just plain hurtful. I strongly suggest you reevaluate how you treat potential employees. And next time you fire someone at least give them the respect to do it to their face and not ask them to “give you a call” via email. That is the last I’m speaking of this. Very disappointing. I made this review strictly to warn other potential employees to think twice before getting involved in shockingly poor and offensive management. I wish your bakery the best.

Excellent zucchini bread, would definitely recommend trying it. Coffee's perfect and not too bitter either. I only wish they would have more seating as the 4 tables they have usually are taken by people on their laptops.

Asked to have a middle slice of lemon bar. Fit the end piece. Burnt and dry. After spending 35 dollars in there tge one request was not accommodated.

I can't say enough good things about the Gingered Peach. But, let me try. First of all, gorgeous look to the store. The copper ceiling look, the brick and beams, the wood floor. Lovely old school newspaper clippings and photos give a timeless feel. Simply put, it is a perfect vibe once you step inside. Next, the staff are all super friendly. They know folks by name, and even first time visitors are treated like family. Ok, now for the goods. The cupcakes and cookies are great. The chocolate blackout is a particular favorite. Other sweet treats like Apple Cake (exquisite) and Olive Oil Cake (shout out to the original incarnation from back in the day!!!) are worth adding to your box of goodies. Now, the croissants here are exceptional. Whether the chocolate or the savory ham & swiss, they are spectacular. Speaking of savory, the TRENTON VOLCANO (yes, all caps) is the best standalone breakfast item I've encountered...ever. Seriously. A combo of pork roll, swiss cheese and some spinach inside a pastry she'll crusted with cheese and everything bagel goodness (garlic, poppy seeds, salt, etc). It is self contained and can be eaten with one hand. It is unique, and amazing, and you need to try it. So, this place is the best. If you've read this far, go to the Peach now. Get more than you think you need, you won't regret it. Buy a custom cake, or a tray of cinnamon buns for a special event. Whatever you do, support this incredible bakery!

We ordered two cakes for my daughters birthday and one of the cakes was dry and could not be served to the guests..bit disappointed with this place

Dr Michael Camarata

Let’s start with the zucchini breakfast bread, yum! The scones are of the biscuit type and full of flavor with tea or milder coffee. THEN —- there is their strawberry-rhubarb pie, WOW! Everything from the crust to the melded flavors of the strawberries and rhubarb - no fillers- just fruit. The best latticed pie of its kind around. People are always asking if I know a decent bakery with a few good pastries, needless to say the gingered Peach will be a true find for these folks. The staff is fresh and delightful and their are a few small tables for eating your goodies on site.

Yum! So nice to have a local bakery again in Lawrenceville. Everything looks great...so hard to choose. I brought a sampling of goodies to work and we had our own tasting. Cupcakes, bars and goat cheese brownies - it was all wonderful. The owners are friendly and helpful. Best of luck and we're waiting patiently for the breakfast sandwiches.

Rough start to the custom cake experience but well worth it in the end! I placed a custom cake order approximately 2 months before my event and encountered many challenges along the way. Lily and her management team made sincere efforts to rectify the errors and transform my entire experience. To top it off, the cake was a hit! It was delicious and well designed!

brett smith

Love the ham & swiss croissant and now they do espresso! Also, the sticky bun is probably the best I've ever had. Not just about the topping, the bun itself is great.

Chrisy B

My friend and I went here around noon and bought 6 differnt varieties of cupcakes...They were SOOOOO dry and STALE all 6....I think they were sitting for days..The red velvet are terrible..the cashier was friendly but dont waste your money on gross cupcakes that were $2 a piece!! We are both totally disappointed!!

I am so confused as to how this place has such stellar reviews! I visited it due to how well-loved it seems, but man, this had the worst food I've ever had. I tried the lemon bar and the chocolate almond croissant, both were terrible. I'm not a picky eater, and universally love desserts, but this stuff was not palatable. The croissant was filled with butter, so much butter that it was mushy on the inside. The lemon bar didn't have any refreshing tartness to it, it just tasted really bad... :( I brought my sister here for her birthday, and she also hated the food, so we packed it up and had another person try it, who also agreed that it was terrible. None of us are picky eaters, this stuff was just garbage.

Nicole

Delicious donuts! Will definitely come back when I visit the area!

Carmella V

One word - Fabulous!!!

Chloe Strong

My girlfriend's family goes here. While wasting some time, she suggested we go here so we did. The food was good. The workers were friendly. It was pretty easy to find (by the Starbucks and Purple Cow Ice Cream). What's different is they use real utensils instead of plastic. The vibe of Gingered Peach is laid back and easy going. The workers are dressed nicely and cleanly. The pricing is very generous. Overall the place is really cozy and warm. The only down side is the parking and that it doesn't have much.

Matthew-Donald Sangster

Fantastic food and atmosphere

Chris Mann

Joanne & the Peach crew are awesome! Get all of our birthday cakes here. Croissants are amazing...can't go wrong with anything they have.

GO HERE, not the Starbucks next door! I was driving through the area for work and figured I would stop at Starbucks to get a quick cup of coffee. As I rounded the corner to enter the drive-thru, though, I saw this quaint little shop and made a spur of the moment decision to stop in here instead. Boy, am I SO GLAD I did! The coffee was yummy, the blueberry scone was out of this world, and the cupcakes I brought home to my boyfriend were amazing (I recommend the raspberry cheesecake cupcake!). The place has a chic, relaxing atmosphere, the service is quick but personal, and the people leave you walking out with a smile on your face. Honestly, The Gingered Peach was a bright little pick me up for me and I cannot recommend it enough to others!

Debra Branda

THE BEST. Everything they bake is delicious and unique

Melanie Ludy

Excellent pastry. Try the chocolate croissant! The Carmel crack is also a good choice.

Cindy T

Food is great but it is so good the place could be bigger! The selection looks so good, hard to decide what to order.

Ryan Kotarski

Slowest service I've ever seen. One register for checkout is comical with how busy place gets. Everyone has jobs to get to and workers show no urgency. Baked goods are delicious. Zucchini bread is extraordinary. But I may never go back unless I have a half an hour to spare. So slow
