The coffe is good. The service wasnt. My wife avoids this place now because the purple haired server was so rude. We just go to the starbucks everytime we're there.

Why go to the neighboring startbucks when you can get coffee that has been properly cared for and thought about from farm to cup? You won't get that at starbucks. Do yourself a favor and go to Rook and get a New Orleans style cold brew and on a hot day or treat yourself to a nice hot pour over on a cool or cold day.

Starbucks who? My sister introduced me and I loved it. I tried the New Orleans iced coffee and it has become my favorite coffee drink.. The menu for the coffee is divided into mild, medium, bold and cold brew so you can choose how strong you would like your coffee. No matter the location I go to the staff is always really nice and always helpful.

Probably the best coffee I had in a long time and I'm a big coffee drinker. I've been told about them numerous times, but unfortunately they dont have a location near my home or work. The staff was as so friendly and made suggestions. If you haven't tried it, you definitely should. It didn't disappoint!

Coffee is always good. I love Rook. This location is my least favorite. Consistently chaotic. The staff are always a little hipster snotty, but yesterday was above and beyond. I'm almost willing to go to Starbuck's to avoid the Red Bank Rook.

The best coffee full stop. They don't do cappuccino or latte style coffees, just American coffee that is serious about being made right. They do iced tea seasonally and have an assortment of baked goods if you need a little more to get going but coffee is what this place focuses on. They have lots of kinds and it's all pretty great.

Took a trip out to a Red Bank to see what the hype was all about. If people were willing to buy and display bumper stickers (magnets) I had to be missing something... Location: great location in the heart of Red Bank, near shops and arcade. The place itself is small (if you’re used to Starbucks or DD like me) but well decorated. Coffee itself: wasn’t impressed. To be fair I may have picked an off-flavor but I do wish I could have tried/even smelled before making my choice as this could have changed things for me. In summary, it didn’t convince me to buy a magnet.

The coffee is great, it always has been great. it's the service that is lacking. I've gone to the rook in red bank for a long time and over this past year it's really just gone downhill. The staff there use to be incredibly warm and inviting, everyone knew who I was and just what I wanted. I felt a welcoming experience each time. It's become very different over time. Incredibly non-personal. The staff that I once knew is long gone. The people they've got now, I'm not sure if it's because they're all new or what, but they seem very rushed all the time. Little to no conversation, inconsistency between cups of coffee. Some give me too much sugar, some not enough, and sometimes it doesn't even seem like the right roast! When it's busy too it can take forever to get your coffee. They use to be able to manage a rush with ease, but now I have to wait for what feels like even longer. Add the inconsistency to the taste of the coffee, it just seems like less and less worth it. I use to go out of my way to go to this Rook, but it's really just completely lost the touch it once had.

Love their coffee!!! They make such good cold brew. They recommend that you use something to cut the strength of the coffee. Even if you drink your coffee black, you definitely should cut it. Listen to them! They know what they are doing :)

I tried not to give a 5 Star review to a place that has a cult following, but it's not possible. Their iced coffee is really solid (the New Orleans style, once the ice melts a bit in it, is awesome), their almond croissant is extremely delicious, and their prices are extremely reasonable. There's a reason it's two doors away from a Starbucks and still does good business.

A bit over priced, but still worth it in my opinion. Rook has some of the best coffee I've had, especially the cold brew. Warning: the coffee is strong. If that isn't to your liking, you may not like it. I'm not sure if they offer weaker flavor options, as I personally prefer strong coffee.
