Kava is great! A really nice place to sit down, they have great tasting food and friendly, helpful customer service. It is located near lots of stores, so if you want a break from shopping, stop for a bite or do their convenient drive thru!

After waiting for a long time in the drive thru the lady at the window shouts at us that she can't take orders anymore. Like why they don't have a sign so that people don't have waste their time and expectations for a good kosher Frappuccino. Very disappointed!

Just hosted a Sheva Brachos here. As one of our guests said, "Atmosphere was magical". Service and food were great. Proof is that the next week, when Chosson and Kallah were looking for a place to eat out, they chose Kava Coffee House!

Most horrible experience. Specifically asked for no cucumbers in my salads (made sure to say it twice) and got them anyways not to mention that the vegetables were so tired and not fresh at all. the bagel egg and cheese was soaked wet from the oil and the egg juice and cheese. Not to mention that the taste was not good. They Didn't bother to apologize or care about what was wrong. Will not come back.

I stopped here this morning and ordered a cafe Americans and an egg and cheese baguette. They were having problems with their cash register and couldn't run my card. One of the other customers who was a friend of the cafe actually paid my tab cash so I could be on my way. The coffee and food was delicious and the customer service was awesome. In addition, the friendliness of the people in Lakewood was really refreshing. I will be a regular patron here when I am in the area!

Absolutely great ambiance you walk in and feel as though you've been transported to a far away place . Food has really improved solid selection . Coffee is excellent I don't drink anything other than black coffee But everyone was happy with they're fraps and lattes though they were sweet so if you don't like sweet ask for less sugar. Baristas are courteous and professional.

Beautiful rustic decor. One of the coziest cafes in lakewood, you feel like youre hidden from the world, especially if you get a table in front of the fire place. One problem: The food is terrible... I tried them when they first opened and I ordered a mac and cheese, when I got home the whole house reeked of garlic a very, very strong unpleasent smell... Tried them a year later and ordered the same thing I ended up with mac and oil... Soup tasted like hot water....

The rustic decor and quirky little design flourishes are fun, and perhaps give the impression of a better diner than this place can really be. It is designed for quick and easy meals (hence the drive thru window!), but it would be nice if the food one receives when sitting down was not presented with disposable utensils and clearly arriving straight from the microwave. Likewise, the visual menu display does not in any way match the food's actual appearance. One of my group ordered a fish dish, and it arrived as three small pieces of breaded fish on a mountain of saucy pasta. Another ordered shakshuka, which came out as several vegetables drowned in sauce with fully done eggs floating on top, all in an obvious microwavable bowl. I'm not expecting a 3 Michelin stars experience here, but a little time on a conventional stovetop and a little more presentation would do a world of culinary good, here, and might perhaps match the promise of the quirky decor, the very pleasant staff and the mouthwatering dishes which appear on the visual slideshow next to the menu. That said, the coffee is fantastic and the variety of crepes and waffles make this place a great quick stop for breakfast or brunch.

Happened to be in Howell & needed a place for brunch, saw crepes on the menu and it was decided we must go. It's a newer location, 2 years old. You stand on line to order, and they give you a buzzer for your food & drinks. The menu is unreal, so many options, everything is fresh and delicious. We both got egg breakfasts with homefries that were out of this world. We split the crepes because we had to have them. Thank God we got them, best crepes I've ever had in my life hands down. My friend got an expresso, and I got a smoothie. Both were amazing. I saw people walking by with huge, mouthwatering salads, I don't even like salads! For 3 breaksfasts and 2 beverages it was $46 dollars...so it is a little pricey. It's also located on route 9, the boarder of Lakewood. My friend and I were the only non-Orthodox people there. I don't care, the food was out of this world. Can't wait to go back!

I don’t know why this place has so many good reviews. My iced coffee was basically iced milk, my husbands quesadilla was basically just onions and the salsa was marinera sauce. My French toast was supposed to come with fresh fruit and the fruit was old and FROZEN. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

While their food can be a bit pricey at times, the chill is worth it, and it's always scrumptious and perfectly fresh. Finally got the chance to try this place. Very cute and rustic vibe inside with plenty of space to sit and stay a while. We got a breakfast burrito, apple crepe, and a toasted almond latte. The burrito is highly overpriced for what you get. Basically just a tortilla with some egg, a few pieces of potato, and what tasted like very little salsa.

I had a nice visit to the Kava Coffee House. The ambience is warm, including the lovely and lively central fireplace. Nice clientele and they clear up quickly after a customer leaves. I personally wouldn't have minded if it was quieter, but their service and menu are good, so....lots of customers.

Food was very good, really nice environment and lots of great amenities (like a drive thru option and free WiFi...among others). In addition, the cashier and service staff were very friendly and acconmodating - truly above and beyond! The only reason for the missing 5th star was due to the irregularly long wait time to submit an order. It would help to have an additional cashier on staff to cut back on the unnecessarily long wait time. However, they somewhat compensate for that by offering quick turn around on getting you your food right away. Overall, a really nice place and a wonderful experience :)

Thought the drive through would save me the time it would take to go elsewhere so stopped by even though I heard prices were inflated. Ordered waffles and waited 20 MINUTES!!! for them to be ready. During that time no one came to explain the delay and other patrons were being served and were driving off. Turns out they didn't have the ice cream to top it off with and went out to buy some. (It was a measly 1/3 scoop of ice cream anyway). Quicker to go elsewhere.

first, i brought my own mug and instead of poring the coffee into the cup, they used a paper cup (apparently to save $0.05 cents worth of coffee by throwing away a $0.20 cup). second, no 1/2 and 1/2. third, the drip coffee was not hot. and lastly, and strangely, they face me a buzzer to notify me that the muffin i ordered was ready (took about 27 seconds). Just didn't get a good vibe here: won't be returning.
