This Coffee Shop belongs to the category of Coffee shop.
Good coffee, very nice service, but baked goods are stale and overpriced, they should also get a little oven to reheat them.
Excellent cappuccino.
Can't go wrong.
Good coffee in a calm street of West village
Great chai latte with Almond Milk.
Always solid coffee. Always crowded.
Wonderful place, full of nice people. You'll love it.
Cool outpost of this mini-chain. It's not big, but there is seating and it's a decent place to hang out.
Great coffee on a lovely street.
Nice cozy place and good coffee. I would always go to a place like this over a Starbucks. Really small and locals hang out for a long time with computers, and seating is very limited.
Great coffee, the best one I had in NYC so far.
Some of the best coffee I’ve ever had. Flavorful espressos. Service is a bit slow, sparse furniture, but the coffee is superb
Really nice and cozy coffee spot with great house coffee.
another "this is how a coffee place should be" place in the village. sometimes uber-crowded -= by a crowd that seems to desperately try to be hipster than tho. But if you don't go on weekends you get a charming place at a charming west village street corner - and an amazing coffee aroma. delizioso!
One of the best coffee places in the city. Their beans are great too (many more varieties are sold at Joe Pro shop in Chelsea.) Two benches outside behind a fence where you can tie your dog are a big plus, if you can score a seat.
Great coffee and tea in a cool vibe shop. West village cool.
Great coffee, amazing attention!
Great coffee, nice staff, fast service, and great location!
A very good NY coffee chain. Most locations are going to be pretty packed.
Nice little coffee shop with a boutique feel. I love shops like this one as compared to big chains. The atmosphere was nice, staff were helpful and warm and the coffee of course was delicious.
This place is a must if you're in the neighbourhood needing a really good coffee. Love it.
I love the outside benches
I loved the expresso. I will come back.
Good quality coffee, nice decoration, tasty vegan cakes
Great coffee good pastries. Worth going a little out of your way for.
More than *$s but super lovely house coffee. Very similar to cafe grumpy but more pastries available.
Solid coffee. Friendly staff. Not terribly busy on a Saturday. In and out within 5 min.
Hands down the best coffee in NY, without TOO much attitude.
The coffee is delicious, the owners and baristas warm and welcoming. I've been a customer from day 1 and couldn't start my morning without a friendly cup of Joe.
As an Aussie, this is comparable to good coffee in oz.
Joe Coffee is not only one of the top 3 places I've found in the city to get a perfectly balanced and flavorful cup if coffee, but they also make the most unique tasting lattes and cappuccinos I've ever had. Hands down. They never dark roast anything so even their espresso is mellow, but as full-bodied as anything on the market. Also to note, If you're like me - a coffee snob, who also needs to cut down on caffeine intake - you no doubt have a hell of a time finding a good cup of decaf (if you even ever bother to buy decaf because most is garbage). Their decaf may as well be caffeinated. It's out of this world.
Great coffee, Nice selection of goodies and very friendly svc
Awesome place for a VERY cosy coffee.
Small location if you want to linger a little bit with your coffee, but other than that, they offer the same great coffees as their other locations. A small but good selection of cookies complements any of their coffee offerings.
Nice bohemian relaxing place. Mocha coffee is delicious sipping slowly . music is nice background.. Pleasant vibes here.,
I think their drip coffee is one of the best I've ever had, to quote Drake. Daily Provisions serves Joe, which is how I heard about this place. Loved the flavor, and how well it was roasted. The baristas working there were super friendly too. I wanted to try more things, but was pretty stuffed from eating around NYC. Next time I'm in town, I'll definitely be going there again.
Love this coffee shop. This location is nice and quaint in the West Village and you can always find the locals hanging outside with their dogs tied up by their side. If you are looking for something a bit on the sweeter side, try their chai tea latte (I prefer soy milk, but either way it is tasty).
Great coffee, oatmeal, fresh salads and etc...
Almond croissant was phenomenal. Small cozy place.
Had the Iced Chai Tea. Very Friendly cafe atmosphere in the local neighborhood. The chai tea was nice and herbally! Totally recommend!!
Love this place. Love Nicaraguan coffee.
Nice coffee
Very plesant place to enjoy a coffe
Sassy and fun staff. Fast service. Good dessert
Cappuccino tasted soo good! Also, the cafe itself is pretty :)
cool guy! and latte is also good!
Hipster bs coffee shop. Over $3 for a watery cup of stale fetco coffee.
Great coffee spot. If you think you'll be back make sure to grab a punch card!
Excellent coffee, but no wifi and usually crowded.
Pricey but worth it. Friendly staff. Delicious baked goods. Tight seating. Consistent from location to location.
I am a big fan of Joe's Coffee Shop. Was big on Starbucks, although I still like and support them. However, Joe's is good and not too commercialized. If you can cheat on a meal, get some of their donuts too.
Great service! Knew their menu. Amazing iced chai tea latte with almond milk (recommended by barista)
NYC sized coffeeshop with friendly staff and quick service.
The food at Coffee shop is pretty good, Service ok.
more like the art of puke. the coffee is never warm and the pastries are hard. i mean rock hard. harder than a 80 year old man on viagra. it mad my stomach twist and turn like a mother mother volcano. and the gas to come was just as toxic
A West Village Gem. Small space, so be considerate, please.
Good espresso
Small and crowded, this delicious w village coffee shop serves delicate and rich premium coffee.
Coffee is overpriced. No WiFi, no bathroom.
Great coffee and pastries. Lovely place to sit down, especially if there's still available space outside
The place is very small, coffee is very bitter.
Cool staff
Good coffees
Nice little coffee place with character and good coffee.
The original and reigning champ of all the Joe branches. Their front deck is a dog lover's best friend. Recently added baked goods from Brooklyn bakers Ovenly keeps your sweet tooth content.
I love Joe's coffee! Reminds me of what good Coffee tasted like before I started going to Starbucks.
Really cozy spot with good drinks
Hangover curing coffee in an indie-ish place. It might just cure my hangovers, don't count on it.
My favorite coffee shop in the city. The baristas are wonderful and the coffee is amazing.
Super capuccino
Came in for my usual drink (an iced latte) on a sweltering day, and it was honestly one of the best lattes I've had in a long time. Great quality espresso, brewed correctly, and not watered down by too much ice. I'd prefer to not pay $6 for a latte, but for the quality and great service, it's worth it!
Good coffee, ok service. Nice benches out front separate from the front. I like this place but nearby Oslo is better.
Best latté I've ever had.
They make an excellent cup of coffee here. Be sure to have a few spare minutes if you opt for a cup individually brewed. Otherwise, their larger brews of coffee are also great. The coffee is a great value, considering the quality brew that you're getting.
Excellent coffee, and the people who work there are very friendly
Solid coffee. Love their foam to espresso ratio with their cappuccino. They get it right! Tasty rugelach at the register to round out your morning breakfast run.
Quality shop. Convivial atmosphere with friendly staff, surprisingly interesting pastries, and solid coffee.
Average coffee spot with good cold brew and decently priced.
Good neighborhood coffee shop
I'm a fan of Joe coffee, and this location is lovely. It's cozy and I feel like a wonderful stop-in in the neighborhood. The coffee never disappoints, where it's a foamy, warm latte or an iced coffee.
Very impressed with the neighborhood feel. Somehow folks who knew each other kept separately trickling in and boom a big group, only thing is it gets pretty busy around 9
Always good
Brew Coffee House, right in "the neighborhood", BEST Espresso, LOVE the muffins. Especially the Pistachio Muffin, loaded with nuts, right up my alley! Stop by on your way home from the Swim Club or your day on the water, a hop and skip to the Throgg's Neck Bridge, I-95 and good ole Country Club! Best of all really close to my Sister-in-law's house.
Good coffee n ambience
Love the quality of the coffee. The cortado is the way to go!!
Great coffee, baristas are nice. I go to this and many other locations in the city.
If you're not into mainstream generic coffee shops this is the the place to be, one of the best coffees I've had was in the shop
Cramped. No wifi. Plenty of better places in the neighborhood for a cup of coffee.
Nice casual place for a quick cup of coffee. I got a cafe au lait and it was ok.
The best! It was really cozy and intimate.
So I came here last year a couple of times, and it truly is some of the best coffee i've ever had. Perfect espressos, with so much flavour; Service is a bit slow, furniture a bit sparse in this branch, but the coffee is Perfect.
great place
Good coffee, nice staff
Anybody know the amount of caffeine in a small house drip coffee at Joes? Wakes me up fast..
If you're a size queen (when it comes to your Joe), just go for the large black drip. You'll need two hands for that monstrosity. The "large" yuppie espresso drinks are short and stubby in comparison.
One of (too) many reliable coffee chains in this neighborhood. I think it has a good blend of wood and glass interior, not too warm or cold.
Nice little cafe, I liked my jasmine green tea, which doesn't take too much skill to make with hot water and a tea bag. The mocha was fine, nothing special.
Great local coffee spot, especially hanging with the dog owners on the porch.
Fast service, nice place to sit ,inside and out, great coffee.
Watery drip coffee, tables were covered in crumbs.
Great coffee try Peruvian roast
Better iced coffee than Starbucks
Good coffee but it was very hot inside
One of the most delicious coffee brands around, the tiny Waverly Place location is a mainstay for caffeine-addicted W. Villagers (and their dogs). The drip coffee is excellent on its own but they also have a great selection of espresso drinks, iced coffee and pastries. Go early or late to avoid massive lines.
Great espresso. Very intense
This is my morning go-to coffee place- as long as the line isn't out the door! A few Pros: Super friendly staff (first thing in the morning, right before close- they always have a smile), very good drip hot and iced coffee, large selection of espresso drinks, tempting (and $) pastry type treats Some cons: Espresso drinks are $$$ and small, there is *always* a line and while it moves fast, when it's out the door- you'll be waiting 10+ minutes, not enough seating to handle the crowd. All in all, this is a fantastic neighborhood coffee spot- I'm glad I live across the street!
They put a soul in each place. The best coffee I ever had...
The roast king
The original Joe (and best?). I go here every once and a while. The coffee is always good and the staff is very friendly. I can usually get a sit as well.
Cute little coffee bar. The 'laid back' is right for the atmosphere, but I find myself stressed out by his crowded it can be on weekends.
Platonic ideal of a cozy corner café — this is why we love New York. Corner window on a lazy Sunday, sipping a latte, is my favorite seat in town. Pre-Third Wave, so not as artisanal as newer places — latte-focused, not espresso — but none the less delicious.
A good coffeeshop in the West Village with friendly professional service. What else could you want?
Delicious coffee and service was fast and friendly.
On a cold winter day on my way to work in search of a starbucks, I happen to google coffee shop and Joe's popped closes to me. The line was long, it took me about 15 mins to get a macchiato with an extra espresso shot but then I understood why? Their coffee is amazing. These guys definitely know how to brew some cup of joe. The put detail into every cup of coffee order and I was fascinated on how they knew so many of their customers names and orders. This place will be on the top of the coffee shops that I visited.
Very good iced coffee
Friendly. Good espresso
Great little cafe, nice service and the staff are helpful. It's also important to support the local "little guys" vs the big chains. They have both indoor and outdoor seating which is a big plus. And, most importantly, the coffees, teas and drinks are well made
Best cup of coffee i've had in Manhattan. Location is amazing. Side note: thanks for having a water cooler!! More businesses should partake in doing this.
Nice cosy place in West village
A great getaway place in The Village. Try the cappuccino. They also have a variety of savory and sweet to accompany your beverage. One of my favorite coffee places in NYC. Go early to find space outside
Loved the cold brew here. Unfortunately, they couldn't heat up my scone. The beverages were nice and the snacks were good too. Maybe think off getting real cups and glasses instead of plastic stuff? (-1 star reason) Water containers started leakinf after a short amount of time. Even though the better alternative to Starbucks :) Glad I was here and did not visit one of the approx 5000 Starbucks in NY, lol.
Stopped by for a chai ice tea and fell in love! It was sweetened just right and the chai flavor was strong. I ask for almond milk and it was a perfect combination. The only thing is I hope that they get wifi for the customers soon in the future. This would be a great working spot on a quiet street.
Chilled atmosphere, friendly laid back staff
Great cold brew coffee.. At four bucks isn't exactly cheap but seems to be the going rate for a NYC cup of optimism.
Pretty good breve good service and a cool location worth a visit.
Every Joe is a great experience
Great little coffee place.
The mocha I had was well crafted.
Excellent chai here. Cozy atmosphere.
Really great coffee!
Great place to sit down and enjoy a cup of coffee. Very good coffee and deserts are awesome too. This place has a cool vibe and friendly staff.
Open at 7 on Sunday
Gooooooooood coffee. Staff is nice and friendly. Wish they had WiFi but it's not a deal-breaker for me. Will be back.
discovered this gem walking around my neighborhood, absolutely fantastic coffee spot. I wouldn't push a non-coffee lover to head here aka an espresso drinker, but if you're in the mood for a good cup of Joe this place is where to head to. The space is intimate, and the staff is very attentive.FYI: this location is CASH ONLY.
Good coffee house with excellent service
love that place
Great Baristas and pastries. Friendly service. Small café
Good coffee, I didn't see anything exceptional however.
The barista is very professional, knows his stuff and the coffee is the best I've had in years.
Cute location! Good coffee
Meh. The coffee is fine. I don't think it compares to other shops such as Blue Spoon. Employee engagement varies a bit, with some seemingly uninterested in serving old people like me.
Good coffee. Inexplicably condescending baristas.
I hope you. Add my. Like my. Idea. OF. Food and drinks
Nice place with good coffee. Personally, I prefer Think, Coffee Project or Blue Bottle.
Great coffee in a cosy environment.
A little bit crowded inside but great coffee!
Okay coffee. Doesn't have wifi!
Very good coffee, cramped but cozy interior, and a couple outside tables. Don't skip this place if you walk by. Could use more gourmet coffee options.
Nice place to have coffee with a friend
Lovely,but no wifi
Love Joes, genuinely strong and smooth coffee. Staff always friendly..
Quaint little coffee shop with great coffee and service!
Great service, friendly staff and quick service.
Everyone who works there is so sweet and kind! I love coming here! And the coffee and drinks are so yummy :)
Good coffee. Cute place.
A great cup of coffee for a great price. The place can get a bit slow though even during off hours and the lines seem just as long as the ones you would find in star bucks but you are getting a better cup of coffee.
Love this place! Staff are very friendly and the coffee here is amazing.
