This Coffee Shop belongs to the category of Coffee shop.
Preety good matcha, and my aunt fell in love with their chai. Their drink sizes run a bit small, but they're pretty good with fast service.
I won a gift card here and was really excited to try it out because of the vegan options and close proximity to NYU. But what’s a coffee shop without WiFi?
The staff (Girl) is very unkind. Don’t want to give star because of that woman.
The almond cappucino was mind-blowing and there was a well-known hollywood actor sitting not far from us! Cool experience
Good coffee, friendly staff. The place is also quite nice for reading a book.
Welcoming and warm little spot but the definition of cozy - very small space. Coffee quality is high to my tastes and their secret is exclusively serving triple shots in drinks so as to offset bitterness. Exposed brick was tasteful and gave the place character along with the partially curved ceiling. There was no WiFi, which was a bit of a bummer for me as I had some quick work to do, but I still enjoyed myself. The seating is limited and none are comfy, so you will not likely be spending your whole afternoon here, but it is nice for a little visit. I discovered this through the Cups app and you can use code "yyskl" to have $10 to spend here with no other obligation, which I appreciated. My tip with the app is to make sure the item you want is listed the same way. Its even local (Brooklyn) made from what I could tell.
Great coffee
Espresso based drinks are quite good. Bagels are quite good. However, their stir brewed coffee, part of establishment's name, is horrible - reminiscent in taste of the bad old times of undrinkable stuff passing for coffee at all new york restaurants.
Great service
Best coffee in NYC, specially the simple Stir Brew
Great local coffee and atmosphere. Sometimes get loyalty card stamped twice.
This coffee is amazing!!! The location a bit further downtown is more spacious but this one has a really charming west village vibe. I love the vanilla soy late.
short wait. frendly staff. no more soy milk.
The Colada.... ask for it
Stir brew is a must try for any coffee aficionado.
Very cute place to have a coffee, hot chocolate, a little snack/pastry... It's small but if you can sit at one of their little wooden table, your afternoon pause will be very pleasant and cosy
This is one of our favorite coffee houses in all of Manhattan – don’t know if it’s the stir brew, but the brew is excellent. As is the Chai Tea Latte and all their baked goods…homemade Oreo!
A fine establishment, the coffee leaves a lot 2B desired.
Great coffee, cold brew, and snacks. Awesome service and staff too.
Jacks has some of the best black coffee in town. Espresso is very good. Really good chill vibe.
Great location and atmosphere, pastries were dry, coffee is great quality but WAY too hot. Tongue-burning, "still uncomfortable to eat three days after" hot. Will remember to triple check the temp next time
Really nice selection of drinks here, and baked goods are always delicious. Good quality coffee, and nice seating space if you can manage to get one.
I love this small detailed coffee shop. After school departs the moms all stop in and it gets really busy. Bu tut once that crowd fades you can have a seat here
Sehr leckeren Kaffee getrunken. Alles Top...
I am always in pursuit of the perfect cup of coffee. I used to live around the corner from Jack's and there is something special about that place. They remember your name and are always so calm and welcoming when you arrive in a mad rush to get your caffeine fix. My favorite specialty drink they have is called the dirty harry, which is a vanilla soy latte. They also have delicious gluten-free and vegan pastries fresh daily.
A boutique coffee shop with fresh coffee, good pastries, and great environment. I would definitely recommend for coffee lovers!
Great coffee
Best honey-cinnamon latte
commands fanatical loyalty among its coffee-drinking customers. speedy service, appropriate baked goods, and a neighborhood vibe that extends all the way to front street as friends and acquaintances greet and wave at one another.
Great little nook coffee shop. The pastries are nothing special but the cappuccino is one of the best in the West Village. It's a small place so I typically take my stuff to go, and I wouldn't recommend it if you are a group of more than three.
Small and cute, this West Village coffee shop has been serving up delicious coffee for years. Always reliable.
awesome staff
I don't know what happened. The drip coffee has no flavor. Skimping? This has been the case the last 3 times I've been here over 2017, so it's strategic. Too bad, I came here lots when it first opened. Things change.
Good taste better than
Opens early 630am, great for us that start work early. Pastries are on pricey side. Creative coffee menu. And they have oat milk available (I love oat milk).
The place is nice and cozy. However, I didn't like the espresso. Far from what I was expecting. something went very wrong along the process... Coffee was perhaps overexposed... too dark and burnt for my taste.
Jack knows a thing or two about coffee.
Charming spot, everything is tiny, and the coffee is great.
GOOD
Love the Mountie...cinnamon latte. Wildly expensive overall even for NYC but good for a treat.
not much room to sit
Tiny west village coffee shop. Pretty good cap. Friendly service. Wouldn't try to come here to sit with a group larger than 2.
Good tasty coffee. Too hot guys tone down the heat (I believe this is the milk and not the coffee). I did not eat here just had a drip coffee as I needed a light warm drink.
i was not impressed but hey i wanted something new.i enjoyed the quality but it was not appealing to the eye and the service was dreadful i had to wait for about 45 min before i was attended to.
Someday I want someone to love me as much as I love Jack’s
Best cold brew in NYC
This place is pricey for coffee, no point sugarcoating it. But the payout is the most delicious iced latte I've ever had
I had a Café au lait here. It was good. The service was quick and its a nice change from starbucks. Slightly pricey, but everyone needs to compete with the big chain coffee places. I would return because I liked the vibe of the place and the coffee tasted good. I dont know if I would go out of my way just for this place, but if you are in the area, go for it. Its a decent cup of coffee and tastes better than starbucks.
Very small little neighbourhood coffee shop serving up great espresso drinks. Not much room to sit, but great place nonetheless.
Great vegan pastries
Quality beverages and awesome hospitality
A cute coffee shop in a cute neighborhood. The atmosphere is really nice although the seats are limited!
Perfect coffee and great baristas. I am also grateful that they had safely stored my credit card when I forgot it on the counter and returned it to me the next morning!
nice place to relax, people watch, eat good, etc. the service was very friendly and kind. the bill was fair i would say.
I really liked their coffee. It was different than others I'd tried before. One friend described it as beef jerky-ish in taste. I don't know that I would have come up with that on my own but after she mentioned it, I thought it was pretty accurate. And maybe that doesn't sound appetizing or delicious, but oh it was. I had one of their scones - I believe it was cherry almond. It was so good. Not too dry and the cherries were perfect. Love it. Wish there was one of these closer to me.
Gem in the West Village. Love the local vibe and delicious coffee. This is my favorite Jack's location hands down!
One word: Apple cider donut.
Jack's is a small hole in the wall coffee shop. Service is fast and friendly. Coffee is fresh, tastes great and the offer a large range of add-ons including almond milk and Stevia.
Fantastic coffee! Probably one of the best espressos in town. Their bagels are great too.
The biscuit I had was dry and tasteless. I ordered a regular black coffee and it was good but not the best.
Nice
The coffee tastes like crap and is way too expensive for the quality. I through it out after 3sips...3bucks for an organic donut? And 2bucks for a coconut macaroon? Im trying to use up my gift card then will never be back!
Nice
Love this place. So far my best experience visiting coffee shops with vegan/organic options. The coffee, organic vegan (gluten free options too!) muffins, and the whole atmosphere was quite and relaxing. Service was great. I'd come here again and again if I lived near. I highly recommend coming here!
Great cup, cozy atmosphere.
The first mention I heard of Jack's Stir Brew was that a friend found it to be surprisingly good coffee from Chipotle. Not the most amazing sounding recommendation, right? Right. As a result, I wasn't all that eager to check it out. However, I'm very glad that I finally did. This Jack's is a cozy tiny hole in the wall but it has tasty (sometimes seasonal) specials like Happy Jack. It's a little difficult to find sitting room but on nicer days, it's nice to sit on the bench outside and contemplate life and other things. I think the only problem now is that there is a Stumptown around the corner and I'll be conflicted on where I'll want to go to more!
Cozy cafe in picturesque part of NY.
We love Jacks!!!
I ordered a coffee from post mates . It took over an hour with the delivery guy standing there . Someone answered the phone put me on hold for 10 minutes and then the number was disconnected . I used to come here all the tine and never have I had such terrible service .
Cute lil coffee place.
Очень красивый католический храм, башня с часами.
The (typical) wait is worth it. Their lattes are amazing.
Extrem leckerer Kaffee, ungezwungene Atmosphäre, intellektuelles Publikum...
Jack's has a warm and inviting atmosphere, great to read or socialize. THE coffee is rich and the pastries are a perfect compliment to the coffee. Best coffee in Manhattan.
No public toilet and super strong coffee. 'Nough said Not returning
Really fun little spot. Unique offerings but has something for everyone.
nice place
Cosy, relaxing environment, however I feel the coffee fell short (being a coffee shop, this is a big factor). The beans used didn’t have a complex flavor... frankly tasted like a brew from Starbucks or a lower class coffee store. Though claiming to be a 3 shot, I tasted more water than coffee in my americano
The great tasted coffee. Excellent barista ....
The best Chai Latte on either side of the Hudson! Made with In Pursuit of Tea's artisan-crafted whole leaf tea pouches, it's like drinking a perfume. Paired with the Happy Jack and the Lavender & Pistachio donuts: My, oh my, oh my!
Average food and service, and expensive. I tried the strawberry muffin and the chocolate donut: the muffin tasted OK, but was a bit dry, and the donut was almost tasteless. The coffee was better than regular drip coffee, but not better than a pour over, and it costs pretty much the same. The staff was distracted, even though there were almost no customers; they also served three customers after my coffee was ready and before handing me the muffin, which was just strange. Would only go back in a rush, there are better places.
Always a good cup of Jack. Get it? Cup of Jack....cup of joe.... Ok. Coffee: great tasting. Never any grinds always fresh. Very good quality. If you’re a daily coffee consumer, you’ll taste the quality. If you’re not a daily coffee drinker, you can still taste the quality. Vegan food options! Absolutely major. Matcha is soooo good. Iced or hot. I know of all the Jack’s around my job, and make it a point to rotate every couple of weeks. Service is excellent and makes the experience overall enjoyable.
Great coffee
(Translated by Google) The typical New York cafe in my heart is not big but very tasteful, there are stories... Wen Qing must visit (Original) 心目中典型的纽约咖啡馆,不大但非常有味道,有故事…文青必逛
Loved this place! Delicious chai latte and the most ridiculously scrumptious bagel with cream cheese. Lovely little spot to catch up with friends or just to sit and relax.
Please come back to midtown
A little small but they have a great apple cider doughnut
