They serve a dark roast so there’s this bitterness, but it’s not unpleasant like the coffee chain across the road. Paired with a chocolate flavor, I find it absolutely delicious, and I’m not normally a coffee drinker. So, I’ve had the Nu Brew, which lacked the hazelnut and the chocolate I expected. There was a subtle chocolate flavor and I believe they blended it to create this creamy texture, plus the cold brew was tasty and I enjoyed that cup (courtesy of the five dollar credit they gave me upon downloading the app!) Next, I tried the iced mocha with almond milk and it was wonderful. Nice chocolate flavor complimented the bold coffee. Delicious! And, the cranberry coconut scone was fabulous as well. Plenty of salt to highlight the richness (not sure which oil base they used, and I’m far too lazy to look it up at the moment). The cranberry was sour and cut through the sugar and rich flavor. The coconut flakes subtly lended a light, almost tropical flavor. Top was crunchy, inside was moist. This was my first time with a vegan, gluten free scone and color me impressed! Will definitely try other menu items soon!

Not sure where the friendly or efficient staff reviews come from. Been to this location twice. Note that they don't put a lid on the coffee or an insulator around the cup. First time the coffee was so hot I asked if they could double cup it because it was too hot to put a lid or insulator on. The baristas refused to do so. The second time I accidentally spilled the coffee on my hand while trying to put the lid on. Rather than asking if my hand was okay, the barista lectured me on how company policy is to fill the cup to the top and not put a lid on it, so there is the risk of spilling. That's not a normal response. That sounds like a company trained response and a bizarre one at that. I guess the higher the prices, the worse the service.

This one is by far one of the less crowded, relaxed and scenic locations of the best of coffee in the US “Gregory’s Coffee”. Nice music adds to the nice decor making it a pleasant ambience. Sit and relish your drink inside sipping the great music along or walk or jog by the Hudson River shore enjoying the NYC skyline.

They are both full-filling enough to sustain my work energy throughout work. Their loyalty program is well-built too. I've been there twice and both times were a great experience. More specifically my second visit. The woman greeted us with one of the biggest smiles I have ever seen. She asked us (my boyfriend and me) if we needed any help and she asked if we need clarification. My boyfriend and I aren't exactly what you'd call "coffee people", and so we asked her some questions to see which would best suit us. She let us try the cold brew coffe to see whether or not we'd like it. We ended up getting a sugar free vanilla iced latte with almond milk. I called it pretty and the woman making it got so happy and was super hyped. It was a genuine appreciation and I love environments like that. It tasted good, but once my boyfriend finished doing his thing, it was perfect (hella Splenda packets and a dash of cinnamon). As we were paying for it, I overheard the first woman tell a customer that the pastries were half off. BIG mistake. I flipped. I was like "BABE WE GOTTA GET THE BROWNIES HOW MUCH DO THEY COST THEY LOOK GOOD GIRL LET ME KNOW." The woman started laughing and asked if I ever had one of the brownies. I admitted that I did not. She reached in and I thought she was gonna' break off a piece to give to me, but nope! She truthfully gave me a brownie and said, "Well, today, this is a sample." GUYS. SHE GAVE ME A BROWNIE. FOR FREE. I CRIED LIKE I WAS THIS IS THE WILL OF GOD. I work at Chick Fil A (in Newport) and I told her (after the fact) that my coworkers often give Gregory's workers free items and say great things about them and now I definitely understand why. I give the woman a tip and asked where I could leave a review, so here I am. Gregory's is actually underrated. It has a calm atmosphere and super enthusiastic workers. I can actually type an essay on this. My boyfriend and I will DEFINITELY be going back. If you're a Starbucks fan, Gregory's will change your mind in a heartbeat. Thank you for the wonderful experience!!! ❤️

Good organic tea. Employees looks not motivated. They are slow and under-qualified. I know a few employees who are good baristas actually (fast, friendly and can do a good latte). Process is not organized well. Your coffee could be stolen by somebody else if there is long line. You never know how good or bad will your coffee be. Sometimes they could burn the beans or make coffee to sharp or too soft - roulette. Their pastry is over priced.

I love Gregorys Coffee. I love it because i) they have my favorite Oatly, oat milk, and ii) their pastries are just unique and delicious. Pastries are slightly more expensive than usual pastries, but they have vegan and gluten free pastries. You have to be there early in the morning to snap the good ones. Recently, as I'm writing this review, they introduced #CBD spiked latte, which consists of espresso, strawberry syrup, CBD oil of course, and my favorite Oatly oat milk topped with whipped cream. The bitterness of the espresso really strengthen the taste of the oat milk and the strawberry syrup is not too sweet. I would recommend everyone to try #CBD.

J'adore Gregory. There are tons of coffee places in NYC. Gregory's is usually not as crowded as Starbucks, it has a better selection of food than other coffee places, and the decor seem brighter. More importantly the coffee is consistent, and they do a good job marketing any deals that pop drawing me in further. Certain Gregory outlets also have muchkins in the morning for free, which is a nice little treat. Oh ...the coffee. It's consistent! I know what to expect, and it's crisp. Yay

This place is a great place to hang out and enjoy a cup of coffee get a great view of the skyline and enjoy a busy working atmosphere. The food I would say is definitely overpriced, I don't appreciate an $8 piece of toast but the taste of the food is good. The veggie sampler is pretty good and the sriracha is a good addition. Overall it's not a bad place to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee not a lot of choices and overpriced but a good once or twice visit. Also has free wifi, always a plus.

The atmosphere is fantastic, my double espresso was very much underwhelming. Granted I'm an avid coffe drinker, I recommend a new roaster who uses a light roast recipe for starters. I also could not tell if my biscotti was stale or purposely baked for a softer texture. The Wake Me Up shot did prove to be a pleasant surprise as did the sitting experience.

I had bought a thermos from another location but broke the top. The company was so nice to send a replacement top to pick up from a different location as I had moved. It wasn't available online but they promptly sent it and the communication with their customer service was great. I highly recommend their products I have the thermos and the water bottle. I have regular sized female hands yet they are the only ones to create a size bottle that is comfortable to hold and easy to grip. Also of course their coffee is good and I no matter the location the customer service has been stellar.

When placing pick up order, MAKE sure you triple check your order upon pick up, especially when they are busy. This Jersey City location is located right by the PATH train and around office buildings so you best bet they have a busy rush hour when commuters are rushing in to grab that cup of coffee before work. However, service is great, workers are efficient and the place is clean.

Fantastic pastries and great selection of teas. However, I would not recommend the Avo open sandwich! After almost a 30 minute wait I was expecting an amazing breakfast treat, but it was far from amazing! I've updated my review and gave 5 stars because Gregory's now has breakfast sandwiches so now I'm completely happy with them. No complaints, check it out. I love Gregory's coffee. I think the latte's are much better than the Starbucks across the street. The actual location is pretty good too. We are from Australia and find it difficult to get the same size coffee as home.The staff knew exactly what we wanted,kneown as a mini late. So close to Hyatt House, were we were staying, so we visited this place often. Friendly staff, nice surroundings and great coffee plus cake etc.

I got charged for a large one with a medium cup. The female staff told me there is only small or large. I’ve been gergrory too many time to know that actually a medium one. Then asked, and got the answer as “this store is just different” with a bad attitude. How could, I doubted. Worst experience at gergroey coffee stores. Does it looked like a large for u?
