Was told about this place by a friend, came to check out there site and reviews and I am disgusted at the unprofessionalism to those that put a review there not happy with. Most places would accept customer opinions and reviews as a way to grow and keep up with the times. Seems there still living in the 50's/60's and need to update some things instead of belittling there previous customers. I have worked with customers/clients all my life and no company I ever worked for would disregard a customer like you have. If your only open have the day become a breakfast/brunch place.. Switching from breakfast to lunch random times on different days is a joke. Plan around what your small kitchen can offer, not what you can't do. Says your a coffee shop... But you sell half fast coffee... Seems like a bit of false advertising to me. I think you need to revisit your professionalism and business politics. Your Welcome for the Free Advice!

As soon as i walked in with my friend we had every single staff member staring at us in a stuck up way for no reason, they did this to everyone that walked in. Our waitress however seemed to be the only friendly one i encountered. The coffee was very good and the smores pancakes were also good. I overheard a customer complaining about a nat that got cooked into her food and wanted them to do something about it but the employee that handled it was rude and said there was nothing they could do, and that they "couldnt see it". This place has so much potential if the staff could lighten up and be friendly. That is a huge factor for what brings people back. You could have great food but if the staff is rude you wont want to return.

I really wanted a coffee so I searched in Google and this coffee shop seemed like it had great ratings. I walked in and asked what kinds of coffee they had. There was only 1 size of drip coffee in hot or iced. There were little prepackaged cups of creamer and sugar packets and I was told to help myself. I guess I was really just expecting some coffee variety from a coffee shop. The coffee was at least good.

Had a awesome experience at this hidden gem. Didn't mind the 15 minute wait for our party of 7. Creative menu with meals you wouldn't find anywhere else. Service was excellent. Counter service and take was also efficent. Will return.

I was excited to try this place went around 1230pm and they told me they stopped serving breakfast. They need to update their website to have these hours posted. Very disappointed. Update : really nice comment left for me... how dare I??? Very unprofessional... I am only making a suggestion to change the sign posted on your door and on your website. No need to take out your anger on someone who was looking forward to a meal at your establishment. Also I did not get any lengthy explanation from you. Only that you were not serving breakfast. The only interaction I had on this day was with the waitress... I was not angry nor did I make a scene on this day. I thanked the waitress and left disappointed for not being able to try your breakfast which is what I said in my review.

Took a while to get the wrong order - went in with a party of 6 people... two other tables came in right after us... waiter seems overwhelmed. Got our order wrong... everyone who came in after us got their food first and ours took about 15 minutes after everyone else got served. Then we were served 1 plate at a time... took about 10 minutes to get the whole table plated. Three of the meals had issues.. .mine went back... ordered a Ruben and fries... got a hamburger and chips... daughter ordered a hamburger and onion rings... got a hamburger and chips... special needs like gluten free - forget it... no-can-do... oh, and cash only at this restaurant... would suggest they need to train the waiter better, get the cook times better timed and get with the 21th century and accept plastic... quality was middle of the road... not bad but just "eh" - nothing special... however, daughter liked the milk shake they made her. [edited - addition] 1. actually you are the first establishment in the town I experienced as cash only. 2. we did have our order planned out... but were told we could NOT order from the breakfast menu.

If you're in Wildwood, you have to stop at the Doo Wop Coffee Shop. The food is the best and the people remain the same year after year. It feels like coming home. The menu advertised " Hot Bananas Foster" should be just that. The bananas should be cooked in with the brown sugar and butter, then poured over the french toast. The cold banana slices should not just be sitting on top of the french toast. Take a few minutes of heat in pan to make a so so dish a great one.. and one the diner is expecting. Same with Raisin Bread French Toast, use Raisin Bread, not just cinnamon bread with hard chewy raisins sprinkled on top. Will be back to try the salads and hope the descriptions hold up to the real experience Bananas Foster is a dish from New orleans where bananas are heated til soft with brown sugar and butter... its then poured over ice cream. they are never cold and uncooked. An entirely different flavor

A friend introduced me to this little hidden cafe.. they have a screen that shows all the items on the menu.. I thought it was like other places just screen shots of magazine food.. After reading the mostly positive reviews, I went to Doo Wop during what is still considered the off season so there was no wait, and they weren't extremely, busy. With that in mind - service was good, friendly and fast. They have some interesting breakfast options. I indulged in the Churros french toast, which was very good. I also had an omelette, which I asked to be well done. It was made perfectly, without being burned. The home fries are more of a hash, than home fries.....but still very good. I would have like some turkey bacon, which they do not carry. Only pork products. Justin, If you haven't already looked into it, maybe you could try the card payment system called Square. You can do point of sale using a tablet or phone and they claim to have low rates. Had I not read the reviews before, I would not have known to bring cash. Also....I did find some of your responses to other reviews a bit concerning....but some people are just trolling, so I would advise that you not give everyone a response as they may just be trying to get a rise out of you.

Again...i dont know anyone there either...some familar faces...some new...but whats always been the same us the great food...and the feeling that im back home...in my familys kitchen...with my favorite Aunts cooking for me...homemade + from scratch...always the same warm welciome feeling year after year... Its so wonderful to know a place like this is there...and the same consistent service year after year. I cant wait ti go back...one of the highlights of my Yearly vacation. This was my original post: "Coffee shop with no coffee 30 minutes before closing?" I received a call from Justin. Found it to be a little odd to hunt down my number and call, and frankly don't agree with the tactic, but he is passionate about his business and family and I let those anomalies slide. After we discussed, I understand why the situation existed as my understanding of what a coffee shop is and what the Doo Wop actually is are entirely different. So I wish the Doo Wop the best of luck and Justin the best on his upcoming "endeavor".
