So random to find this just off Wall St this morning. Great coffee and great service. Go the Swans :)
Good coffee, nice place to sit. Very homey with plenty of tables. Delicious food. Especially love the muffins. Staff is ok. Definitely a must for anyone near by.
I love coffee, yes I do! I love coffee, shouldn't you? I've been doing the happy dance every morning since I found this place! Although it's tucked away on New Street, it's great to know that I can easily pop out for coffee and snacks (croissants/pastries from Balthazar; cookies from Downtown Cookies Co.) and even catch up on some news (they have daily newspapers pinned up for easy browsing as you sip your espresso).
Hit and miss with coffee, sometimes it's excellent, sometimes the coffee is over extracted or the milk is scalded. Also they only take card.
One of my favorite cappuccinos in the city - small, not a lot of milk (the way they should be made), and cocoa powder on top. They make a great avocado toast too. Friendly staff. Only complaint is that the staff can be a bit slow at times. Still worth the trip for my capp!!!! Similar prices to other higher-end coffee shops so it doesn’t make sense that other reviews say this place is expensive. Note it’s a cashless place. I recommend downloading their app for rewards.
Great flat white, tastes just like it does in Sydney.
Simply the best cup of coffee in New York City. The Aussie experience is great as well ...
they tell me they dont accept CASH... I come all the way to buy breakfast but they just don't take cash, thats really ridiculous
Get the avocado toast. You will thank yourself later.
Best Aussie style coffee in town.
The place is nothing spectacular, but the coffee is amazing (mainly to have it on the go). Be aware that it accepts only card.
Still wonderful Avocado Toasts and Flat Whites. A bit cramped, but worth it nevertehless
The avo smash plate is delicious! Place is small though and the service was ok.
Great food and wonderful five course lunch at a bargain price for the quality of the food, ambiance and service.
Excellent coffee and Aussie treats in a jam packed little back alley spot. Super friendly staff and excellent golden latte!
One of the best cappuccinos I've had!
Always good coffee
Very quaint, small coffee shop but has a good variety of caffeinated or non-caffeinated drinks (hot or cold). Also has a few food options which are simple and tasty. (highly recommend the oatmeal)
Good coffee. Nice selection. Limited seating options though. Get $50 in free Lyft
One of the best coffees in NYC. Enough said.
The perfect latte!!!
Go from a street to another, and stop by this coffee lane, and grab a cold brew... you deserve it!
BEST COFFEE!!! I see people down here in FiDi with their arms full of Starbucks trays and I just want to scream. Bluestone Lane is theeeeee place for the best java down here: it's strong, flavorful and without pretense or set in a cold design environment like FIKA. The focus is on the coffee here and the place is cozy AF. PLUS, you have super nice baristas (did I say barista?) with Australian accents. What could be better?!!!
Well rounded flat whites with a smooth texture. Friendly barista who knows his stuff. Good place for a great coffee if you wonder around Exchange place. Only drawback - no rest rooms there and but pricier- links with the location (it’s a Wall street anyway).
Delicious coffee and friendly service. Just keep in mind it is a very small seating area in an office building rather than a coffee shop to sit in. Still, they make the little seating area nice.
Good coffee with a fun flare. The space is quite snug though, so getting a table often proves difficult.
Had an iced latte. More flavorfully than Starbucks
Pure coffee, excellent brewing techs and a knowledgeable staff.
Probably some of the best coffee I've had in the city! And the customer service is pretty swell too.
Hidden gem that locals don't even know about
One of the best we've found, not highly roasted, great Oz style espresso & flat white, happy service too.
Over-rated. Coffee is not bad but it feels like they are doing you a favor by selling it to you.
Small cute coffee/breakfast place. Good cold brew, decent noms
Great
Great coffee!
Umm best almond milk latte in town as of 9/16/2015
Good long espresso
Hip coffee shop.
The cold brew is particularly bad, and they didn't give me ice, which I guess is how they try to get rid of more of their bad cold brew. I suspect the "cold brew" is leftover hot coffee they pour into the dispenser. Also they don't dump out a reusable cup for you? What an odd rule.
Good. Just like Australia. You should get bonsoy though.
A wonderful place, that makes absolutely Top Shelf coffee. I can't overstress this - I'm a freak about it and they do consistently excellent coffee. And it's not everywhere you can get a vegemite on toast, either.
Aussie coffee in New York! So good. Get a lamington, smashed avo toast and a flat white
A chain coffee shop based in NYC, stylistically born out of the Melbourne coffee shop scene, Bluestone Lane offers a wide variety of expertly prepared coffee options. Their house brew is the best in FiDi, if you like a robust, no-nonsense cup of jo. The flat white is also a classic here, and the largely Australian staff will charm you with their friendly service and winsome accents. The pastry options are also extensive, in addition to a surprisingly large food menu that, while expensive, is both nutritious and tasty. This location in particular is my favorite of all the Manhattan branches for two reasons: one, it's rather hidden away, thus making it slightly less touristy; secondly, it's relatively small, thus creating a cozy feel, and if you frequent the location, the baristas are sure to recognize you and greet you accordingly. Highly recommended.
Sweet potato humus toast is my favorite here
Great place for coffee and snacks!
Vegemite toast and a latte on Wall St? You got it! Great coffee and selection of Melbourne cafe-style toasts and pastries. Great service when I was there too.
Delicious coffee as always!
Excellent espresso- neat Australian vibe
Friendly staff and delicious coffee
So happy to discover this place. The Baristas are great [the accents only make things even better] I love their dirty chai's and their flat whites :) Great strong coffee, true Melbourne fashion in the heart of FIDI, could not recommend enough.
Good coffee but expensive...and they don't take cash
Hands down best barista coffee in FiDi. Worth hunting down.
Too small
Fun, tiny coffee shop tucked away in this building - seating for 4-7, so plan to order take-away. Nice people and good coffee / espresso drinks.
The only reason I gave any stars is because the avo smash and dirty Chai are yummy, but beyond that I most likely will not be returning to the FiDi location, or any other locations for that matter. The attitude I've received for ordering a "fancy" drink (steamed milk with coffee) on multiple occasions has deterred me. At my job we go on coffee runs a couple of times throughout the day, so we will definitely be giving our business to a more respectful place. Some of the employees should learn better customer service skills, especially after telling me "tell your boss that isn't a thing" and "we don't know you're fancy drink names" even after I explained what a misto is, and did not even use that term after the first time because I knew they wouldn't understand. I wonder how many other people that employee have been driven away. It's embarrassing.
Amazing avocado toast !!! Super good coffee, very cozy and lovely !! Must try if around
Nice coffee and great staff!
Avoid if you don't want over priced coffee and goods. I wanted some gluten free toast with jam and butter with some tea. When you have gluten intolerance and actually find a place that has gluten free stuff, you are sort of willing to pay the price tag. The toast is small and was drenched in jam, manly to cover up the fact that it was burnt. And I don't mean a little bit, or the edges. I mean extra burnt and crunchy. The tea was ok but from the other people there, it sounded like they shrink the cup sizes and charged the same amount. $9 for this was way too much, especially having to force down burnt toast. My hunt for gluten free food continues.
I found it expensive
Australians really know how to roast a bean
Your barista "Toni" which probably isn't even her real name. The one with dreads. Was one of the most disrespectful people I have ever come across. Waited 15 minutes for my coffee after they lost the order and then made the wrong one when I went up and told them what I ordered. As Australians we are disgusted to see you call yourself an Australian Cafe, but hire scum of the earth employees That would never happen in Australia.
The place is great overall, just the coffee beans seem to be overroasted.
Weak coffee. Not for coffee aficionados. Cute interior, friendly staff, no seating.
Great coffee. The avocado toasts are a bit overpriced but delicious.
Cannot wait to get there.....April 29 you're mine
Fantastic cappuccino and a great location!
Great coffee, but very cramped space. There's almost no place to wait in line
Excellent espresso - funny and friendly staff. What more do you want?
Best coffee in lower Manhattan since RBC closed. Try the avo smash and the Aussie iced latte, both phenomenal. Its worth a visit for the design ingenuity alone. They've made amazing use of a building lobby.
Fantastic flat white, friendly Australian staff. They have a great deal where if you purchase a bag of coffee beans (for brewing at home) you get a free drink. I'm unsure if you're limited to only certain drinks with this deal. Haven't had their breakfasts yet, but I've seen them and they look amazing.
One of the best coffee spots around. I love heading in here for a quick drink before big client meetings.
Amazing avacoda toast and coffee. Friendly staff. I'll definitely be back!
Excellent flat white. Haven’t tried the food. Took a star off just because the new location lacks any charm (it’s now in the lobby of a building).
Good coffee, if you are looking for a proper flat white or latte then this is the place.
The atmosphere, food, cocktails and service are all excellent.
Small authentic coffee shop with funky Australian food
Go for a quick breakfast bite with really good coffee and avocado toast (add Vegemite!!)
Tried the Curcuma Ginger latte and Beetroot latte. Excellent caffeine free alternative.
Loves it
Good coffee. Nice selection. Limited seating options though.
Best Avo-Smash, hands down. GF and regular options found in this cozy wood-lined coffee stop where iced chai lattes, Aussie iced lattes (sub ice with french vanilla ice cream) and cold brew refresh the locals. A bit hidden, access on exchange place from either direction.
Australian style cafe and yes they do flat whites- a NZ invented coffee
Gluten free cookies and muffins. Poached eggs on gluten free fluffy toast. Separate toaster for gf but it's very close to the regular one. Everything turned out to be good though! Safe for a quick snack or breakfast for a celiac
Any other coffee forever forgotten.
Really cool little coffee shop, placed in the converted entry way of a art deco building lobby. Standard high end coffees including flat whites.
The New York Cafe in Budapest is spectacular! Opulence and elegance abounds here with a cosy piano bar to enjoy a hot chocolate or cocktail this is the perfect place to go for a nightcap! Jenn
Po.
I couldn't find it! I don't think this exists anymore.
Very disorganised, coffee and food come at different times so you have to have one of them cold. Coffee is OK.
Very cool Melbourne themed cafe. A taste of home in New York for Australians. Card only and take away options only paired with efficient service
To be honest, I don't understand most of the reviews and high ratings of this place. I went to Bluestone Lane because I saw many good reviews but I just found an expensive and not great coffee shop. They bill me $9 for the salmon toast in the attached image. The bread of the toast was average and a bit dry, and the salmon was sparse as you can see in the image (look at the borders!). $9 for this is a total abuse. Even the matcha latte was expensive and not great compared with other coffee shops. Very disappointed with this place and also with the misleading reviews.
Very good coffee
Little weak Americano. I've had coffees in Sydney, Melbourne, Gold Coast and this doesn't compare :/
Good coffee, good pastry and friendly staff. It a little hard to find, you have to walk through the build lobby from the Broad Street side.
This place is pretty expensive and I didn't find anything to really be special at all. Some of the people who worked here were nice, others just ignored me while 1 actually turned out to be a really nasty person. There's only a couple of seats and I didn't have access to simple things like half and half and had to ask for it. If you need coffee and your in the area, if say go but don't bother going out of your way to come here.
Brilliant and friendly. Very little seating, but good for a quick delicious bite to travel with.
This was my first time at Bluestone Lane. I ordered black coffee with milk and sugar - it has a distinct taste and a bit strong. I will be back soon! The staff was friendly, fast, and patient. FYI - the place is inside the lobby of 30 Broad Street.
Outstanding coffee, healthy brunch options and friendly staff. Visited NYC briefly and went here 3 times because the coffee tasted so good.
awesome coffee spot from down-under with funky add-ons like a scoop of ice cream in your coffee. small location inside an office building lobby but the line moves fast at all times.
Did not have waffle cones
Love Love Love this place and the food is Consistently good.
Fantastic coffee close to the Statue of Liberty in the middle of the financial district. Also if you want to try Aussie style Vegemite on toast this place has it.
Probably the best barista coffee in town. Super friendly people too.
Coffee here is pretty good! Service is nice and fast and the decor is very nice. Not too much seating and no tables, just bars. Good quick stop while you’re walking around in FiDi!
Satisfactory level in non-coffee drink, I ordered an iced chocolate. The taste is smooth but it doesn’t make me feel like I am drinking chocolate. The chocolate sauce is too light. Overall assessment is fairly satisfactory but for a chocolate lover, it may not be the best choice in Wall St.
A class up and guaranteed fresh...loved the ambiance.
Delicious wholesome food. Great price and vibe. Just gives that 'Ah Yes' feeling.
As an Aussie abroad, if you want the closest thing to a good Melbourne coffee...this place is hard to beat. They even put chocolate powder on the cappuccinos! Small thing....but it made me feel at home. Well done lads!
Really good coffee. Really expensive
Fantastic coffee and a home away from home for all Melbournians. Great blends and well made. A small store with some savoury as sweet treats but mostly focuses on takeaway.
Nice coffee
Sandwiches are ok, coffee is alright. Nothing too special - just another cafe.
Expensive and cannot use cash, best latte I've ever had and staff is friendly. If you have a credit or debit card and don't mind spending 5 bucks for coffee it is worth every penny. I would recommend stopping by, food items are tasty as well but everything is a bit pricey, even for Manhattan.
Nice place
But expensive but really good
The long black espresso was excellent
The magic (coffee) is literally magic, loved it, cozy space aswell.
Great coffee shop with a selection of tasty toasts and other small bites, and delicious specialty espresso drinks. Very friendly staff.
Excellent customer service, super delicious pastries, and a bathroom. However, this is a cashless place, so make sure to bring your credit cards and/or debit cards for making your purchases.
Excellent flat white. Blend of original art deco finishings and Aussie memorabilia make for a unique if somewhat cramped experience.
Fun, tiny coffee shop tucked away in this building - seating for 4-7, so plan to order take-away. Nice people and good coffee / espresso drinks.
Very nice coffee shop. Although they do not accept cash.
Fantastic flat white. Avocado smash (toast) is great.
Great coffee and avocado toast.
Awesome cafe .. make sure you're going in the correct entrance with the real seats! You have to enter through the NEW STREET entrance for that. You'll see a big banner that says BLUESTONE LANE COFFEE. The 30 Broad street is an office building entrance. It has such an unique feel to it, almost like you're in one of those classic dining train cars. With the warm tones along the walls, it really brings you to the rustic homey environments that you die to venture to if you've been in the cold harsh city for too long. Definitely a great get-away spot. I ordered a large flat white -- with 4 shots of espresso, holy dang I was so hyped. 4 shots in one drink should be illegal, but I thank God it's not. It was smooth and velvety with just a great punch of energy you need for the day. I will have to come back when it's warmer for the affogato .. and one morning for the avo smash -- avocado toast! The BANANA BREAD became my favorite baked good, as I bit into its flavorful and not too dry texture. I am addicted! I was kinda thrown off by the weird metal music playing early in the morning though haha.
好喝 但店門小小的容易錯過
The best coffee down here!
Avocado Smash was delightful, and latte was artfully done. Overall an awesome experience!
This place was awesome! Their Almond Croissant was amazing.
Flat white at Bluestone Lane a must try. Not great sitting area but the ambiance is wonderful.
Really great smooth coffee. Friendly and chilled.
They do a lot of speciality drinks, of course with an Australian bent and etc. -- however, importantly, they also pull a good and consistent double espresso, which is harder than you think to source these days.
exceptional coffee
Great coffee and food, friendly staff. However, not really suited for eating/drinking in as is basically a corner of the entrance to the office block
Great coffee, avocado on toast is the go to!
I'm going to be completely honest with you: I love accents. Especially from other countries. And one of my favorites is the Australian one. So that was a big impetus for me to give this place a try. Also, it's quite literally down the block from where I work. And what I found was a lovely little shop that makes delicious lattes (including an Australian one with ice cream!), and plenty of character. Really the only thing keeping them from being the next big thing on this block is the scaffolding that's currently dominating the whole of the block. But once that's down, look out...
Friendly staff and still open during the January 4th snowstorm. Had the hot chocolate and avocado toast. Would definitely return.
