REVIEWS OF Bluestone Lane Bryant Park Coffee Shop IN New Jersey

Piero Bosco

Hands down best one of the best mochas I've ever had anywhere. Very generous selectection of gluten free cakes, which will be hard to beat elsewhere. It's very clean and staff are very friendly.

Joseph Urbinati

A little bit of a fast food vibe, but it’s tasty and healthy fast food.

Oliver Griffith

Their flatwhite is just as good as any in Australia, so if you want some good coffee you should check it out.

Alicia Ryan

Awesome coffee, properly Australian style. Avo Smash toast was excellent too. A little piece of home in the middle of NYC, loved it!

tommyace

Not very friendly service. Young girl told me they were closed in a rude tone 10 min before 5pm. Go to little Collins, nicer baristas that go out of their way.

Cole von Richthofen

Excellent coffee. The Australians do it right, like the Italians. Get out of here with your drop coffee, espresso is where it's at.

Elde Mosa

I went to try the Avocado toast but unfortunately when I got there (which was an hour before closing) they said they don't serve food anymore in preparation for closing. Why do you stop serving food ONE WHOLE HOUR before closing.. It's not an elaborate and time consuming meal to make either, avocado toast is considered a fast meal. I was really disappointed about that. The cappuccino was good though. The location is really small and if it's not nice outside (weather wise) there's nowhere to sit really so it's more of a to-go coffee spot if the weather doesn't allow for outside seating.

Mel J

Slow service, burnt coffee. Overpriced.

Katie Cruz

We are in town for the weekend and love exploring new coffee shops. Brittany took our order and was so helpful and patient when we were asking too many questions. We didn't even realize the line had grown behind us, she never made us feel rushed. She recommended her favorite drink for me and it is amazing. Great little coffee shop to come to.

Dharmesh Parmar

This place serves nice cofee. There is plenty of seating available outside. It's a nice place to hang out with your coffee on a pleasant day.

Nicolas Leveroni

Great coffee. Always crowded. Expensive.

Joe Giarratano

Just do yourself a favor and get their avocado toast

Ingrid Callus

Best coffee in New York

Ariel Chiu

Had a quick bite for breakfast here, got one avocado toast, and one salmon lox toast. Both were prepared in to-go boxes, and we ate them outside in the courtyard seating area. Fast service, decent food, but a bit overpriced (particularly given the fast-food feel of this location).

Adam Roberts

Rude service and website menu isn’t up to date. Real shame

Jason Liu

I would've given 4 stars because of the great tasting coffee, juice, and avo smash. However I have awarded 3 stars for the service for the following reasons: - I had ordered and paid for two 12 oz flat whites, 8 oz were made and the barista argued that I ordered 8 oz. They then relented after consulting a colleague and made me the 12 oz. - when ordering food and drink, it's hard to know which counter to approach when your name is called. - the juices were overpriced at $9 for a small bottle.

Alice Burrows

I usually like Bluestone Lane but this location sucks. No where to sit, no toilets.

Tim Kuhlendahl

I did not like the place. Just a small kiosk with mediocre coffee.

Garry Kissick

Good coffee!

Donna DiCrescento

Great coffee and food! AWFUL service. If they made the coffee or even put the lid on the process would go much smoother. When I suggested I received a very sarcastic response. Extremely disappointed.

calvin mok tuan min

Easily the best coffee in NY. Their avocado on toast with prosciutto was good too.

queenie ng

Australian coffee. Can taste a little burnt however strong enough

Sierra Valeriano

Lovely staff, great gluten free options. Come to Canada!!

Susan N

Delicious coffee and speedy service. Soo much better then Starbucks.

Lorne Jaques

Small, hip coffeeshop in a park. Great tunes and friendly service!

sofi murlia

Didn't like the coffee at all.Too much pepper on avocado toast I couldn't eat.

Alex Hemsley

Great coffee! If you're from Australia, you'll feel like you're at your local and if you're not, you can experience Australian coffee culture at its best. Avo smash's are also a must!

Jeremy Chen

Epic service, best coffee in NY and the team service is next level

Maria Robles

Awesome avocado smash and coffe

Jonathan McCall

Awesome latte art and great coffee.

Angie

Great ‘Aussie’ coffee, cashless though. Another place that prefer Apple Pay. I always have to drop in to a Bluestone when in NYC. Milk varieties available, good for dairy and gluten free options. Small place with a few healthy takeaway treats.

anthony pomponio

Great coffee in a great locale

Grace Hung

Nice hot chocolate and salmon toast. I added the avocado spread which is good. I think they put too much lemon juice on it thou. Also this cafe is not so environmental-friendly that even when you dine in, the toast is packed in a box and the drink is served in paper cups. Even thou the box does look nice. Nonetheless it's a nice cafe.

Michael Valdés

Very busy and loud, but love the service and the coffee is top notch!

XSR900NYC

Very good coffee and very good avocado toast

Danial Qureshi

Avocado toast to die for especially with paprika flakes, cherry tomatoes, feta

Robert Brauer

So hard to find unless your a local, we nearly gave up. Find the sign for STK and it’s opposite. But once you get here, a delicious menu of goodies and great coffee.

Richard Auchter

When you need a real coffee fix in NYC this is the place. Highly recommended for Aussies and Kiwis who have a higher standard of coffee strength. Nice avo smash toast. Friendly and efficient staff too.

David Caddock

Best Espresso in Manhattan. Hands down.

Beau Mack

Reminded me NZ.

سليمان الشمري

Steve Sonderegger

not the best branch. location is small, hard to find. no wifi

Umair Tareen

FYI - Currently this location is under construction so it's not open

Milan

Coffee was bland and the Vegemite toast was so bad I almost sent it back. It was a single slice with the Vegemite sporadically spread over the bread. Don't waste your time, better coffee places out there.

Christina L

Delicious coffee especially the chai latte I had! My husband had the flat white and he said it was very good. We also shared an espresso cookie that was awesome! Cute little place in a sweet location.

J M

Awesome coffee. They have good simple but healthy foods.

Lynn S

I'm a big fan of the Bluestone Lane Cafe on the Upper East Side, so I'm not new to the offerings. This location is geared towards grab-and-go business, probably for busy Midtowners. The small space has just a few bar stools that face an open courtyard, you'll see some people on laptops hanging out during the weekend. The coffee is always solid, representative of the Melbourne coffee culture, but the Avo Smash should not be missed. It's different from the one you get in the UES, this one has lemon juice, olive oil and chili flakes on top.

Helmut Koren

Madeline Bloch

Australians know their coffee. Great baked goods (especially the gluten free banana bread) and the avo smash is out of this world!

Danqing Liu

Lovely coffee shop at a convenient location. Kinda pricey for some basic coffee ☕️

Rachel Larrivee

Best chai latte, love the atmosphere, love the food...would honestly 10/10 recommend

Alison Skate

A good coffee was served up on my second visit, the first time seemed to miss the level of attention and care paid to running a good shot of espresso. The Vegemite on toast was very enjoyable with butter, and the staff allowed me to spread the Vegemite myself, providing a generous amount in a small espresso cup.

Nicholas Banker

Easily beats Starbucks for flavor, bit tight in there, if they start allowing to order ahead they would be perfect

Shenhav kimhi

Best coffee in the city

Kayla P

As a coffee snob I have no choice but to review a little harder than I typically do. This place has a wonderful atmosphere - large glass windows in a small room allows for you to relax while people-watching in warmth. There were some cool coffee options such as "Beet Coffee" and other creative things, but I just ordered my standard breve. The breve was good, so I cannot complain there. The latte art was definitely made by a barista in training. My family ordered a cappuccino and a flat white - these two drinks were near indistinguishable, meaning that the technique used to make these drinks was off, so there are some docked points. I would go here again, but if the opportunity arose to try a different coffee shop I would.

Matthew Poe

I tried my first nitro cold brew here, which was pretty good. (They say the nitrogen makes it taste creamier, or something?) If nothing else, it made for a conversation-starter with my co-workers. Aside from the drink, the store is a cool space: very clean and modern design, with lots of glass, and the staff that helped us were genuine Australians, with accents and everything, which was quite charming. I'd go back here again if I were in the neighborhood, but I'm not sure I'd do the nitro again, which seemed like more of a fun novelty than a drink that a person would want every day.

JuJu Rhee

Love love their Avo smash with "the lot" (prosciutto, feta cheese, tomatoes, etc) on it!!! Yum! Wish the place was bigger with more seats but it's right by Bryant Park which I loooove! The coffee's pretty legit as well~ So happy to have stumbled upon this place!

Flore Latournerie

Good tartine but way too expensive for a tartine with just avocado on the top. ($8)

Barbi Mascia

Best avotoast!

Alexandar Nikolov

The salmon toast is not the same as on the pictures. There is no public WiFi. It is a small coffee shop, like a kiosk/pavilion, hence there is no restroom

Michele Take Two Salon

the best Chai Latte, with almond milk, so authentic

Pj Olender

Exceptional design of the restruant and the food looks like works of art! I would happily return for coffee, pastries, salads or many other kinds of food that are on the menu. The staff was kind and helpful if you have questions about their menu. Would definatly reccomend to friends and family alike!

Hannah Burns

Great food and service, excellent coffee!

Katherine Magnuson

I stopped here yesterday for an afternoon pick me up- this spot is really cute! It’s got a fresh Australian vibe, and they played great music. There’s not a whole lot of seating and they don’t offer wifi, so I recommend grabbing coffee/ food to go. I had the golden latte and an almond goji berry ball- both were good!

Rick

Really liked the coffee, but things were a bit disorganized behind the counter. Could tell the guy pouring all the iced coffee's wasn't in a good mood (happens to the best of us occasionally). When coffees arrived, no one knew what was what or who's was who's. Something I'm sure they'll get better with over time - Growing pains... I'll give them another try. Definitely reminded me of the coffee I had in Australia. I wish 'em good luck and will re-review upon next visit.

Download the app for a 5 dollar credit! Worth the rewards program

Eric Kunz

Good espresso. Excellent cold brew.

Manuel Suero

Love this place, staff is amazing. Really good coffee

Tony Sullivan

Like buying coffee at home. Impossible to drink the US stuff so was fantastic to find these outlets.

Ryan White

Adequate coffee.

Guillaume DAVID

Great coffee and friendly staff, nice terrace outside when the weather allows it

Len Yeh

Update: Because of construction in the GRACE plaza, this location is now on the north side of 43rd St. — One of the smaller pocket outposts, find this one in the GRACE building plaza on 43rd St. This location is NOT on 42nd. Go to the corner of 43rd and 6th, on the Southeast corner. The service here is good and energetic. Great outdoor seating for nice weather.

Daniel Lau

Consistently great coffee. Friendly staff

Rick Cordero

Great Coffee and Grest Service!

Amanda D

Love their avocado toast. Service is quick and the ambiance is great.

Ajit Dodani

They closed before they were meant to and were just hanging out inside looking at their phones. Really annoying. I walked super far to find this place

Vivian Yung

Busy place but service was pretty quick. They don't accept cash. Got an iced chai tea latte and the avocado toast. With tip, it came to around $17. Both were delicious. Large, public area to sit outside.

Gary Weatherley

Clearly the best coffee I have had on US soil. Nice work Bluestone.

Ammar Mukadam

Amazing coffee and other quick bites!

Ahcene Ouldsaada

Stopped by today, Nate was so kind. Asked me how my day was. This level of service is great!

J. King

It's reputation exceeds its flavor.

Jessica Boyer

Came here because I've been desperately heartbroken after Pieface closed, taking their aussie iced coffee with them. Perhaps my favorite drink on this planet. So I got the aussie iced latte and was saddened to find it was just a small scoop of vanilla dumped in a latte, not blended. But nonetheless once it melted it became more creamy and more like Pieface's. Staff was nice and efficient although I did not go during rush. Would like to come back and try the toast. :)

Sebastian Rousseau

Excellent coffee and great quality breakfast and cakes. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is very good.

Fabien G.

Reached there at 10.30 on a Monday morning. The guy at the counter was lovely. A shame he was followed by an unfriendly, cold waitress. I felt like I had to beg her for a smile. When I asked her for a plate to eat my sandwich I felt like she had revolvers instead of eyes. Really, really not good at all. Food was good though - but the place was super crowded with papers and plastics on the tables. Won’t be back.

Mahima Srivastava

Cute Australian coffee chain. I had the iced mocha and it was delicious. Some seating here which can get occupied quick. Must try!

Anthony Edwards

Thoroughly enjoyed my macchiato and avocado toast here. This is a really solid choice if you're in the Bryant Park area. I'll be returning.

Inna Z

Beautiful location with lots of light and plenty of outdoor sitting. My latte was amazingly delicious and absolutely gorgeous. My husband couldn’t say enough good things about his mocha. The foam was silky and smooth. Barista was very friendly and did an amazing job with both drinks.

Robin Chiang

Authentically Melbourne latte, from a Melbournian!

Jacob Round

Average coffee, way over priced. Take away ("to go") cups only.

Andre Dalberto

Great place. Great location.

Lyu M

Their properly creamy latte reminds me of Melbourne.❤

Gavin Spitz

Being an Aussie was amazing to taste the best coffee in NYC...especially a fantastic ling black.

Ellie Forbes

Melbourne coffee in New York! As someone from Melbourne who just moved to New York it's the only coffee I will have here !

Dave Canfield

Absolutely the best Avo Toast in the city, defined by copious amounts of tomato with chili flakes, lemon juice and olive oil. Gluten free toast is an excellent option for gf folks. Cold brew is a must, as is an iced chai (with Califia almond milk available). Savor nearby in Bryant Park.

Leith Stevens

Best coffee around. Avocado smashes also great.

Michael Nadler

The staff is always helpful

Sid galada

Thank you for getting me some good Melbourne style coffee. Got tired of the horrible coffee people drink here in the US.

Chad Stevens

Really cool, chill place. Small(ish) but seating outside! Great coffee and a small food menu.

Tommie mills Mi Ls

God bless you

Joe Rusello

Great staff, great coffee/tea

Saskia Barlow

Apart from the VOLUME of the speakers, everything is awesome. Great quality food & delicious coffee !!!

Melike Nur Aksu

High quality coffee with different milk alternatives and quick bites to grab and go. Their avocado toast is the best i've ever eaten! A bit too pricy though...

Andre Powell

Quality drinks and amazing service!!!

Christine Frei

I'm being generous with my one star review.

Lena Wu

Great espresso drinks. Small and crowded, though beautiful and well-kept space.

Maxine Warhurst

Doesn't take cash and as tourists that's all we had! Incredibly disappointed as being from Melbourne we had looked it out specifically, won't be going back or recommending.

Benjamin Gibbs

Coffee was good, but the flat white was still a latte. Nice touch of home for a visitor from Melbourne.

Andy M

As an Aussie living in USA I like to sample Aussie themed places. Good coffee and the bread on the avocado toast amazing. They also have flavored drinks with iconic Aussie suburbs and town names on them. Vegemite and Milo were on off too, see in background of photo.

Myron Wieneke

It’s 11am and the cashier said we can only order one toast because they ran out of containers. She was short and curt about it, but allowed the people behind us to order anyway. I asked the barista about the roast level of the coffee he used for the cappuccino, medium or dark. His answer was “it’s an espresso blend” with a condescending attitude. I work in NYC so I’m used to city service but this was just bad.

Joshua Bramley

For a place that sells Australian style latte their shots aren't particularly great, a bit weak and burnt and rather expensive. Super friendly staff though which adds a bit of sweetness to the bitter taste of their coffee.

Hannah Burke

Even when the place was crowded, the service was fast while still delivering amazing drinks.

Emily Y.

We had an affogato (coffee and espresso) and lemon loaf. It was good but it took us a long time to find the place. There is construction at that plaza where it's supposed to be. The new location is just across the street next to FedEd.

Barrie Allen

Always love the avocado smash.

Dmitry L

Great coffee.. I believed ya an Australian chain.

W Y

Love their coffee - this is the most consistent Bluestone Lane - flat white is always on point

Nick Porter

Very good coffee.

Derek Teixeira

Great service, cool vibe. Incredible coffee and avocado toast.

Scott Squires

Coffee was excellent but service certainly didn’t have the friendly Australian feel to it and cash not accepted...

A Wong

Good price for cold brew, but kinda dislike the paper straws, even though we all should be going eco-friendly. But, when you're sipping away with the top on, the straw starts to bend and leak/break in half.

Rowan Pritchard

Love Aussie style cafes. Bluestone is quality and you get what you expect. It's nothing special for a Cafe but it's reliable.

Anna Fish

The place is cute and clean inside. At 3:30 it wasn't too crowded. The salmon toast was fresh and tasty. I just wish they would use a less cartoon for a pack. Also, the toast was cut in a half but salmon on top of it wasn't.

Carolyn Robinson

Fantastic chai lattes!

Matt Kolins

Great little coffee shop. The flat white is perfect and the avo smash is an original and delicious sandwich. Very good.

JED

Ok I know I’m an Aussie coffee snob, but good to find a decent coffee in NYC, even if they don’t accept actual money (levelup or card only). And nice to see a pic of Bondi beach on the wall. Great job guys!

Ajay Ranipeta

Good Australian coffee joint. Can't go wrong.

J T

Great Aussie coffee! And they sell Vegemite :)

RRR

Not really a coffee drinker, but there are variety to choose from. Lines can get long especially during the morning rush. There is a nice outdoor seating area and surprisingly tables are always available. Only drawback is that they don't accept cash.

Jonah Engler

First time going here, it was pretty good! Great coffee, decent price. Nice location.

Katharine Oxley

Great Australian coffee and treats

RIP Bob

Another great Australian style coffee outlet in the big apple. They use a different blend from the other purveyors we have sampled while here but its smooth and goes down well. This space has limited indoor seating but there is nearby seating outside. You're looking at a bite sized menu or light breakfast with only a handful of options. Each are tasty but this isn't a filling lunch stop. Prices are slightly cheaper than some of their Australian style rivals. Be warned though the queue spikes in size quite rapidly (but that's also a ringing endorsement). 4.5stars would brew again

Ali A

One of my favorite hide gems! Tucked away beyond the bustle of Bryant park a little coffee oasis with fantastic lattes and relaxed staff with a lovely view to take a moment to yourself and just chill- only wish there were more

Susan Talbot

The server was wonderful.

Marcin Czerwiak

Great

Meghan Waltimire

Great place to grab a quick coffee or a snack. You will have trouble finding a sat before noon

Simon Geor

My second coffee experience in New York Simply great coffee!!! A little expensive but isn’t in New York. From my experience Coffee for Americans has been good old filtered (dip) coffee until Starbucks came along... and to be really honest Starbucks is ok but not great... Australia and New Zealand have been doing coffee well for years (the little coffee shop) and this reminds me of a coffee that you would get from either of those countries. I can’t fault Bluestone too much as it is simply very good. PS someone said to me that it was start by an Aussie or Kiwi and maybe that’s why it hit my pallet. I would recommend this place to anyone. ☕️☕️☕️

fahad aldosari

This place is close to my heart because it is an Australian coffee place but nevertheless their coffee and toast are really good.

David McGrath

Best coffee (proper coffee not filter), and perfect vegemite and avocado toast!

J A

Nice seating area, good coffee and pastries.

Shiro Hirai

Everything is perfect. I love this place!!

Erik Olson

Nice alternative to Starbucks! This location, located at the rear of the “glass cube” in Grace Plaza, allows for outdoor seating when the weather is good. Friendly staff as well.

Paul Cray

Got a mocha - pretty tasty.

John Smith

Enjoy myself

Muhammad Saeed

Great food, wonderful atmosphere.

Frank Papsadore

A beautiful thing. Great coffee and fantastic avocado toast among other "whole" snacks. Credit card only transactions for speedy process (but could be even faster). Strongly recommended.

Marcus Oh

Gotta say, the cold brew is right on. Almost as good as I make it at home.

Nicole Bissey

The banana toast was so perfect and delicious. I also love the on the go boxes. They arent crazy fast for a to go style place, but I'd go again and again for the taste. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a healthy small breakfast or a quick coffee.

Evan Phalon

Carlton and the staff totally took care of me when I came in with crutches. From the moment I walked in they took my order and told me to rest as I waited for my food. They then comped my bill and wished me a speedy recovery. Great food, amazing service - I can't wait to go back! Thanks again for a heartwarming experience.

mark bird

GAVE MY GIRLFRIEND A VERY HARD TIME, THE WHOLE PLACE WAS EMPTY BUT THEY REFUSED TO LET HER SELECT WHERE SHE WANTED TO SIT.

Lixin Cheng

Flat white and banana bread are pretty good.

Tenzin Sangpo

Small, crowded space. Not ideal for being on laptop and doing work. Busy place. Idk, maybe it's the time of the day I visited. Other than that food was good, not exceptional though. (Avacado toast). Next time, I'd like to try their salmon toast.

Dawen Huang

Great coffee as always, love their Avocado Smash Toast. Workers are super friendly

david brown

The avocado toast was amazing and their 'piccolo' is the smoothest espresso drink I've had in a long time. Definitely recommend for a quick breakfast or snack if you're in the area.

Peter Hale

Coffee was ok, but if you're an aussie looking for a bit of home, this is not the place. We got coffee lukewarm like a lot of places back in Oz and then waited 25 minutes for a toastie that tasted nothing like aussie fare. So it's just another American place with reasonable coffee, but would not recommend

Matthew Bovenzi

Avo Smash with "the lot" of toppings. I would eat it every day for lunch, if I would have money in my bank account leftover after doing so. Excellent, healthy food served by the most friendly people in Manhattan, often with equally friendly (Australian) accents in a cute, clean space. Perfect for a quick bite for lunch or grabbing morning coffee. The food and coffee isn't cheap, but it's not designed to be. It's costs what you'd expect it would for the quality it is and the quality of the business. Seriously though--get the avo smash with all the toppings. You won't regret it!

Damien Taylor

Great coffee! Vegemite on toast was a nice taste of home.

Xinyi Lim

Cute little Aussie coffee shop, tad pricy though!

Grady

Inspired by Melbourne but not close to the real thing at all.

Ronaldo Nakamura

Very nice
