Great service and attractive breakfast menu. The food is yummy but don't expect something too great. You should come to this place if you are not in a hurry because it seems popular in the area. I came here on Saturday at 8:00 am and this place was busy already. I really liked how this cafe is decorated and their use of lightning.

This is a smooth operation! We arrived on a busy Easter morning with a line snaking around the counter area. We were skeptical when told a 15 min wait, which turned out to be more like 10! Yay! We enjoyed a hot breakfast and good strong coffee, service was fast and friendly. Special thanks to our server Ericka who made a special check on what type of tomato juice they served, for a very picky gentleman. While it was a brief trip, we didn't feel rushed out the door, and when we left around 9am, the line had grown out the door! This is definitely a popular breakfast joint, and worth the trip. The prices for all the food were very reasonable, but the coffee was $3/cup, which would have been fine if we could have spent an hour and a half taking advantage of the free diner-like refills, but for the amount we drank with our breakfast, that turned out more expensive than the Starbucks down the street. Overall a positive visit, none the less!

Classic stop anytime I'm near MSG/Penn. Their BEC bagels are superb and only $5, but not on the menu (shh!) and even if you DO stick to the menu, the breakfast is outstanding. Of all the tchotchke joints you can find in this part of town, it's nice to have a great cozy diner that serves quality food all the time. (I promise I'm not biased because my name is Andrew!)

The line was long on a Monday morning, but luckily they have a good amount of seating so we were seated shortly. The food was extremely basic. The French toast was literally buttered Texas toast on a plate. No powdered sugar, berries or any flair. Just toast. The eggs and sausage were edible but again nothing to get riled up about. The best part of the experience was that the server and kitchen were extremely fast. The food was out within minutes and she handled our bill at lightning speed. Very impressed by that.

I wasn't sure about this place when I saw the line. I was assured by the cashier that we would be seated in about 10 min. Very fast and efficient turnover of tables. The food came out quickly and was more than expected. If you're looking for McDonald's prices you won't find them but neither would you find food this good either. The line that quickly extends to the door says I'm not alone in finding this excellent choice for breakfast.

My daughter and I wanted to get a dessert and coffee after the show this past weekend. Thought this place was worth the walk , but we were SO WRONG. The cheesecake was disgusting, the coffee was the worst I ever tasted and there were cockroaches running across the floor. I was just one feet away from Starbucks and I saw Andrews coffee shop a cross of street. So why not give a try, plus I just want something to drink only. I went in there and they greeted me with a smile and even the owner as well. I asked them if I can sit near by. I order a hot chocolate and it was amazing. Fresh, light, and smooth. Something like that but it great to taste hot chocolate in chilly weather. Thanks Paul for being my server and thank you Andrews coffee shop! I will definitely come back here :D.

Andrews is the one stop shop when it comes to having breakfast in Manhattan. You shouldn't miss it. Everything is fresh and extraordingly tasty here: The coffee, the pancakes and any variation of eggs they offer. If you need to wait in a queue it's totally worth it! You might get you food as fast as the check if you stop ordering, but that's the way it goes and there are other hungry people waiting in the line.

For tourists it's a really nice place to eat pancakes. We really enjoyed an American breakfast (or at least what we believe is an American breakfast). There was a very organized line when we went there. After that the line ended and they encourage you to get a seat yourself. The place is very friendly too and it didn't take so long to receive what we asked. The only unfortunate is that they brought something wrong.

Basic diner food. Service was excellent. Our waiter was attentive and professional. The food sadly was lackluster. French fries were drowned in oil. Floppy and not crisp at all. There must also be a national shortage in pasta sauce. The spaghetti was bland and seriously needed seasoning. It was a large portion of spaghetti with a splash of tomato sauce.

Can get busy at times but if you can get a table its well worth the wait. Chocolate chip waffles were my daughters favourite! Mine was the Mexican omelette. Highly recomended

The place seems to be very popular as it located in the touristy area. However, the food was terrible. Home fries come with skin on it which I don't mind, but with dirt together this is something! Prep staff didn't even care to wash potatoes properly and cooked them as is with dirt. Apparently never going back as I don't want to waste my time and money on getting food that no one bothered to make it at least clean...

Found Andrews coffee shop on Google maps. It was really good. I had their chopped salad and fruit cup. The salad was huge and tasty. The fruit cup was nothing short of fantastic. All of the fruit was super fresh and super juicy. Strawberries, pineapple, melon. The strawberries were sweet, the pineapple was delectable and the real test that was passed was with the melon. I have come to expect melon in restaurants to be crunchy. This melon was not! It was perfectly ripe and delicious. I didn’t catch the name of my waitress but she was wonderfully attentive. The price was super reasonable. Overall super good experience.

Loved it here ... ended up going twice in 3 days. Daughter had the pancakes with bacon while I had the fried eggs and toast. Both delicious and set us up for the day. Food was reasonably priced for the location. Don't be put off by the queue, it moves quickly and you're not rushed when you're finally seated. Our waitress Anna was excellent, looked after us and even remembered what we'd had before! We were sat at the counter on one occasion .... Loved it. Definitely worth a visit.

We had our luggage and our family member went to the bathroom that was downstairs and was taking long since her legs were in pain.. they said we could take our stuff and wait outside for them. She came back TWO minutes later. That was honestly embarrassing and would be a reason we would not return.

Andrews coffe has an amazing atmosphere with great food and coffee. Everything is priced reasonably, and is an obvious hit amongst everyone. The breakfast is delicious and energized me for a long day in one of the busiest cities on Earth. I only had one real complaint about the place. Due to the popularity of the joint, the service is very rushed when I was there and we couldn't really just hang and chill there. Despite so, the food really is very much worth the rush and makes the place a must go for any visitors to New York.

Too many things went wrong for the place to have 4.3 star rating. The only explanation for the first waitress we had was that she was high or drunk. I don't think the guy at the table next to us knew her but she seemed to think he was the hottest thing on Earth (he wasn't), she eventually got around to taking our order then came back 5 minutes later to confirm what we ordered, my cappuccino was boiling, and my pie was ice cold. The waitress who ended up taking care of us was awesome and had some personality although she did say it wasn't a pleasant place to work. She's the only reason the place is getting more than one star from me.

The service is alright, but you can't make any modifications to the plates. Definitely give it a try if you're in the area! I went a few times on my last trip to NYC.

The service to get seated was quick despite the crowded room but the time waiting for our order lagged. The menu is limited to carnivores. No option for modifications to any selection on the menu. Not the best diner menu or accommodations. If you're ever in Jersey check out Chit Chat diner. The two stars are for the sandwich my hubby ordered and the efficiency of seating.

The coffee and the pancakes are excellent, but their breakfasts (omelettes) seemed to be prepared in a hurry. The place is packed and it seems like they are only running one air conditioning unit. If you're not sitting close to the entrance you will be sweating, worst if you are drinking coffee. I felt like we were being rushed, but given the nature of being in NYC that happens almost everywhere. I do recommend the pancakes and coffee.

We were met by friendly staff that paid great attention to our needs and gave us free coffee refills. The food was very American so that’s a plus if you want to experience that (I like it more healthy). I had the breakfast sampler and found the scrambled eggs dull and the sausages likewise. The atmosphere was very busy and I don’t get why there has to be so many tvs - maybe I just don’t understand that need, but others might :)

Our hotel nearby recommended 4 restaurants and eateries; 1 was their own restaurant, 2 were stupidly expensive and the third was this one. We tried it out a few days after arriving in New York and ended up going about 6 or 7 times. You could get breakfasts, omelettes, burgers, pasta, pizzas and lots of other stuff. None of it was fine cuisine and the seats weren't great either but what you did get was well cooked and nicely served food. Everything we ate there was nice, if not spectacular and the service was mostly pretty good too. And pretty reasonably priced too.

Went there for breakfast: place was crowded, but it took not too long to get a table. The interior is not fancy - more like a vintage diner. Good choice of classics like waffles, pancakes, eggs&omlettes and much more you expect for breakfast. The prices are reasonable for NYC/Manhattan. The food was good. Nothing special. Service seemed a bit stressed and we received the bill right after we ate the last piece from our plate. without asking if we want to order more... (actually we wanted to).

I've been coming here since the early 80's. Best coffee in the city. I love sitting at the counter for a quick breakfast or giant muffin. Quick service, high energy coffee shop. Always crowded so fun people watching.
