This weekend the bean broker roasted a hog and was selling pulled pork sandwiches from the sidewalk. As I sat in my car waiting for my daughter, I saw the man operating the grill drop tongs onto the sidewalk. He proceeded to pick them up off of the ground, set them aside and moments later used the dirty tongs to turn meat on the grill. So gross. It is ashame that the owner of this business spent two days smoking a huge pig only to have the meat contaminated by unhygenic food handeling proccesses.

This "Place" is in a class by itself (not only in Chadron, but Nationwide). I first of all refer to it as a "Place", because you can't put it in a box. Before lunch, it's a great little coffee shop. But as lunch nears, it unknowingly becomes a upscale Cafe'. If you slip in after work, you can get a bite to eat, or have a cocktail while playing free pool, and feel equally comfortable. Great live music is common. Everything about this "Place" exudes class. Bean Broker is what it is, because of the genuineness of its proprietor! Without a doubt highly recommended!

I have traveled quite a bit from coast to coast. This cute coffee shop made an excellent espresso, which I experienced in a mocha! It is in the top three best I have ever had the pleasure to sip. It wasn't burnt, the milk was perfectly frothed, and it wasn't too sweet or too bitter. Perfection ! The atmosphere was nice and we were there on open mic night, which was fun.

One of the highlights of Chadron. An awesome place for coffee, soup, sandwiches, and my favorite--homemade wheat bread with a slab of butter. Also a classic pinball machine and Pac-Man, so bring quarters.

We were driving through on our way to South Dakota. This place is excellent! They have great iced coffee, I tried the mint cream. We also tried the Panini of the day ham and pineapple. That was excellent as well. The service was fast and super friendly. If you are driving by I would suggest stopping and trying this place.

I got the Sunday special, Bacon/Brie panini with homemade soup and it was fabulous. Stella on tap and there is alot of character all around to keep you captivated. The staff was terrific! Try it for yourself, you won't be disappointed.

Fantastic little coffee shop with great service! My kids and I stopped in for some breakfast and a relaxing atmosphere so I could get some work done. Fast wifi as well. Kids each had biscuits and gravy and loved it! I ordered the vegetable frittata and Carmel macchiato and everything was superb. We have found our newest favorite spot to stop in Chadron!

We just had a terrible experience here. Our order took 45 minutes to make and while the counter staff was dealing with a steady stream of customers- they were not swamped at all. What they were was disorganized and rude . Every single customer was met with an extremely long wait, super bad manners, and a lot of incorrect drinks. This leads me to the next point. We received the wrong drink for our kid and needed to replace it. The staff replaced 4 other drinks they made incorrectly before this. They then refused to replace this drink and said it was against policy??? At this point, I stepped in and asked for a full refund because of the terrible customer service, the extreme wait, and this blatant lie. When I said that this was poor customer service, they asked us to leave and threatened to call the police??!! What on earth? Manners matter. At least one gal stepped up and replaced my daughters drink. Save your money. Go to Starbucks.

Ate lunch here before heading out to Toadstool. Had a sandwich and salad. Both were fresh and delicious! I also had the cinnamon spiced cider and it was yummy! The place is very eclectic with a small but interesting menu. It is built into an old bank building of some sort and still has the vault doors. It is worth stopping here just to see the building and grab a coffee.

Super fresh and delicious! The menu is small here so if you're a person or group that needs a large variety you may not at first glance think this is the place for you, but I guarantee that you will enjoy the food. I have yet to find something on the menu that I didn't enjoy. They offer a wide variety of drinks so you're sure to find something that strikes your fancy and pleases your tastebuds.

My husband and I stopped by this coffee and beer joint for some caffeine and a light snack during our camping trip to Chadron State Park. Impressed from the moment we walked in! Beautiful restored building with Western/Great Plains decor. We shared the panini of the day (roast turkey breast, cranberry cream cheese, and mixed-herb greens on a sesame seed bagel bun) and the iced coffee of the day (mint creme). They were both delicious! We might come back for cocktails later this week. The “Citizens Hall Pub” in the back of this building has a pool table and dart board (not to mention $2 Fat Tires on special).

Best coffee place for miles around here. They have great food here too, the fritatta was delicious and their pastries have been really fresh every time. There is a great tea selection and lots of seating options. Seems like there is a lot going on in this place (art, crafts, books, wine and beer, coffee, local goods, etc. for sale). Would definitely recommend.

Driving through Chadron I did a quick check for coffee shops. Everyone was just closing as I pulled into town, but these guys were open until 8! (Score!) I bought two 20 oz lattes. The price felt a bit high- probably about 50 cents to $1 a cup higher than I'm used to paying- but the sterling reviews and late hours had me sold! The coffee was hot- which is a plus- but I wasn't a fan of the taste. It didn't taste like much flavor was in there because instead of a sweet drink it was pretty bitter. Beyond that, the drinks felt pretty light so imagine my surprise when I opened up to find that I had paid more per cup and received closer to 16 ounces in my 20 ounce cup. Sure. I could've gone back in and complained, but I don't trust people with food after I hand it back to them. Personal flaw, I know... but I prefer just paying for something and receiving what I paid for. I shouldn't *have* to come back in and take time from my road trip to correct a mistake like, "hey, could you fill the last 1/4 of my cup, please?" I'm glad to see others enjoy it, but I personally won't return.
