Perfect hangout for a casual lunch. Unique atmosphere - rock 'n roll memorabilia, modern art and photography. The staff is friendly and the service was quick. I ordered the "Half and Half" lunch special: My smoked turkey sandwich, complete with cranberry wheat bread and a homemade potato soup hot the spot on this cool afternoon. When visiting a coffee shop and you happen to enjoy a tasty lunch as well, it's a win-win! ☕

Absolutely the best coffee shop in town. The coffee is always fresh and flavorful, and both the breakfast and lunch sandwiches I tried were excellent. Nord the owner is funny and friendly, and will give you a discount if you order in a Chewbacca voice! The only disclaimer is that the food (not coffee) service is extremely slow if they are busy (most of the time) as everything is cooked fresh, so don't stop by if in a hurry.

Cute little shop with a good vibe, plenty of seating, and coffee and breakfast selections. Their prices were more than reasonable. My only complaint was with the service. They didn't seem very slammed but it took a while for my drink, and they had made a hot Americano when I ordered a cold brew. Odd mix up, but they fixed it and I have to admit it was one of the best cold brews I've had in a while. Always extra special when a place uses coffee ice cubes in their cold drinks!

Helena is a coffee town with a number of very good independent coffee shops, but the Firetower is the best for its fresh roasted coffee (roasted on premises) and atmosphere. Truly a locals destination in Helena.

It did not appear to be busy yet it took 25 mins to receive a grilled cheese and cup of soup. With an hour lunch break and driving time. I had 5 mins to eat. The grilled cheese was not melted and the clam chowder had maybe 4 pieces of clam. I was also told the soup is microwaved so it’s not readily available, hence my food taking so long...

Went in paid for 2 drip coffees. Got a 1/4 cup and then the pot was empty as were the next 3 pots. Told the owner, he wouldn't make another pot or refund my cup or even offer to make an espresso drink. Don't go here. Horrible service.

This is my morning coffee shop. They roast their coffee to perfection. The turkey on cranberry bread is always the lunch I recommend to my customers when asked where to go to eat. The service is great and the staff are always happy to see you.

It is a shame that my first experience would be one of disappointment. I assume the young lady behind the counter had been working 11 hours "11 hours later and I can't leave this place." (Also talking about packing) My order was wrong and when I brought it up she did not react in a way that was conducive to great customer service. I ended up saying nevermind I'll take them. (I know, my choice...I didn't feel the need to cause a scene and she seemed so flustered.) The wrong order still tastes amazing...just not what I went in for. I only wish that I hadn't tipped her on my card as I was paying before my drinks were made. I definitely would not have left a tip period.

The service was exceedingly slow, especially considering we both ordered peanut butter and jam sanwiches. I requested sour dough bread from the options, and I received what looked and tasted like inferior white bread. I do not recommend this place.

My wife and I went there for a nice lunch based on recommendation from friends and tv advertising. We arrived at about 11:30 and found very few places to sit. Seems most normal sized tables were occupied by one person, a lap top and a cup of coffee. We ended up sitting in the back at a very small table in the dark. My wife had a salad which she thought was marginal; mostly limp lettuce with a few additions. I had the club which was pretty good. Bottom line, I would classify this as an internet coffee shop that also serves food. If you’re looking for a nice sit down lunch in pleasant surroundings, I would look elsewhere.

If you are lucky, you may even score a bag of coffee that was roasted less than a day ago. A wonderful place!

MONTANA GUIDE -

If the Capital City could be summed up in one image, it would be that of the fire tower. You are not able to climb the fire tower, as it is a delicate piece of history but it is worth the visit. The view from the area of the tower let's you take a great look at Downtown Helena, which is another great sight in itself!

I have always loved Fire Tower Coffee. I fell in love with lattes over a decade ago because of this coffee shop. It is a great place to have a latte and study or meet a friend. It's peaceful, comfortable, the service is great, and the coffee, espresso, and food hAve always been excellent. I heard they cook their eggs with steam from their espresso machine... next time I get eggs I will definitely pay attention. I love going in and looking at artwork by local artists. I highly recommend this coffee shop.
