REVIEWS OF Comet Coffee IN Missouri

Travis Holtan

They have a great selection of coffee from many different roasters. The pour over was excellent. My latte was fair. I would definitely recommend grabbing a pastry!

JEFFREY KRIEGER

Great service, baked goods were a great balance of sweet and savory. Coffee was spot on.

Paul Cushing

My family and I stopped in on our visit to St Louis. The only thing better than the Ethiopian pour over, which was amazing, was the super friendly service. My daughter, being unusually difficult, wanted something akin to an Italian soda. While that certainly isn't in their wheelhouse, the young men were very patient and gracious to provide a drink similar to what she was after. Our experience at Comet was great and we'll be back if the opportunity arises.

Pundaree Pisutvong

It was really good I had Cold Udon noodle, which is new It was very tasty

Dylan Groce

Always great service and amazing espresso. Pick up a bag of whole beans to take home, all beans that they use in their everyday drinks. Staff is incredibly helpful and friendly to everyone.

Brad Baltz

Great multi roaster shop. At the time of this posting offering Merit, Sweet Bloom, Little Wolf, and Mad Cap. They brew it up right.

jeanjoel spatafora

I love this place. It’s right across Forest Park nestled in a multipurpose building. I love the staff. The setting is elegant and comfortable. They absolutely have the best croissants and pastries in saint louis. I’m French and I know croissants. This the real thing! The WiFi, coffee, teas are all good.

Andrea Olachia

The smell of butter is amazing. When you first walk in! Broccoli/cheddar quiche has the creamiest, softest eggs imaginable. Dying. Actually dying. Service was quick and efficient.

Jeremy Limones

Great coffee. Great space. If you need to get out of the office and get some light work done this is the place to do it. There is not a lot of noise for the amount of foot traffic. Lots of seating space and plenty of power outlets. Free wifi. I recommend getting a croissant with the Ecuadorian coffee!

Roger Hollingshead

Amazing coffee! Great atmosphere and a cool vibe going on. Great place to study or meet someone. They have amazing Goodies to go with the coffee. The service was wonderful and quick as well. Definitely want to return sometime for more amazing coffee.

jérôme TRAN

The best coffee shop in town and they have the best croissants (and I know what I am talking about, I am French). They tend to overcook them these days but still what a buttery delight!

Josh Herum

Great coffee spot! They are always stocked with third wave coffees from roasters all around the country!

Mollie Jean Robinson

SO GOOD. Great pour over coffee. Great atmosphere. Astonishingly good chocolate chip cookie. (like seriously dont know what magic they put in there put its the best) Definitely would come back again!

Ham Nyanja

brews too strong for me, half a cold brew got me tweaking, I think they need to cut it with water or something... Had their basic latte and cold brew a few times, both too acidic tasting for me so I cover them in almond milk. they do have oat milk which is cool! normally the place reaks waaaaay too much of butter so I can't stay inside, but today it wasn't so bad.

Adam Steevens

Could not recommend this place enough. The staff is friendly, the coffee is superb, and I have yet to have a single bad experience here.

Travis Phillips

The coffee was incredible, and the croissants were probably the flakiest I've ever had!

Mohrah m7md

Best espresso/ coffee ever

Ward Furniss

Great coffee. Limited seating. Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere.

Scott Wingfield

The staff was really great- knowledgeable & personable.

Mark David Bloodgood

Even if you didn't like coffee, the baked goods here are perhaps some of the best in the city. To top it off, I would say this is the best coffee shop in town with a great atmosphere and incredibly friendly staff.

Dyllan Carignan

Amazing in-house pastries. The quiche is to die for. Prices are high but the quality is good and the staff are social and friendly, even when busy.

Al Judge

Best coffee in St. Louis? Probably. They carry many different roasters, nation-wide, in constant rotation. Have 2 espressos ready to pull. Bake pastries so buttery you could wring out a quarter stick. Used to have some sexist guys behind the bar but now seem to be staffed by 50% or more women, and those guys aren't around anymore. Good riddance. I like the way things have changed.

John Kmetz

Spoke with David at the front counter! This place does amazing things! They make coffee the right way and treat customers with respect and dignity. I really enjoyed nerding out on coffee. If you want a great place to get a cup of coffee and chill, Comet coffee is your guy.

Danielle Tindall-Carr

We love Comet! It's one of the few places I can get an oat milk latte and the most delicious gluten sensitive muffin! Their stuff is top notch. I also love how clean the place is! They have immaculate restrooms, which is something most other coffee places I've been to don't have.

Johnathon Lyon

Great drinks, rad music, the nicest folks, bright, clean space. Love it.

AVAKIN JAYLA AVAKIN PRETTY

First time there and it was great! Good coffee the muffin was crumbly and not dry. Service was great as well very nice people.

Mudasir Kamal

Great coffee and tea selections. The pastries are out of the world as well! Great staff and great vibes once you walk in. Definitely will be back soon.

Kalina Myers

Fantastic customer service and attention. Great selection of coffee from different roasters, excellent pastries, knowledge staff. Definitely recommend. Conveniently located right off the freeway for people passing through St Louis. More selection than Sump Coffee, too.

Anthony Coffin

Always great pour overs, but the high marks come from consistently excellent espresso. Comet is one of only three establishments where you know your going to get a very good pull every time. Anyplace else you are as likely to get garbage as anything drinkable.

Bogdan Bandura

Great espresso, stopped by out of state on a road trip, it's hard to make 4 shots taste great on a latte, this place did it though. Highly recommend!

Cristina Carlos

Wanted iced coffee and it tasted so bad. Apparently asking for cream and sugar is a no no. And they only give you a little bit.

Daniel Rainey

Great coffee. They offer locally roasted, fair trade whole bean coffee. Along with brewed coffee and espresso drinks. Decor is very inviting, with moderate amount of seating. Wait is usually a little longer than "popular" coffee shops, but well worth it. Highly recommended.

Kelly Yacoub

One of our favorites!

Kate B

I love comet! Reasonably quiet coffee house. They rotate new coffee for purchase. Get the chocolate chip cookie, you won't be disappointed. Always friendly staff give really good recommendations. Tea is delicious as well.

Derek Thomas

The croissants are pretty good for America. Not quite Parisian level, but worth a try.

India Viola

Lovely atmosphere. Yummy quiche and croissants. Fun baristas. Great coffee.

Carol Copeland

Fastest barista I have ever seen. Best flat white have had in a long time.☕☕☕☕☕☕

Liam John

Such a great coffee place. Can’t really beat it in STL.

haley kay

Love the mochas! The pastries are dangerously good and the staff is always very friendly

Mark Floyd

One of the best lattes I have ever had! Great staff as well!

Tom F

Best bearclaw I've ever had.

Molly Mutschler

I have heard great things about the croissants here, so we tried to stop in on Saturday morning - mistake! It was so crowded we drove around the complex twice to find a parking spot, and when we got inside finally, there was nowhere to sit! However, that does speak well of the ambiance and popularity of the place. We ordered several items: croissants, an almond bear claw, and a 'rebel within' which is a muffin with an egg baked inside. The croissants looked quite dark on the outside, almost burnt, but they didn't taste like that. They were delicious, flaky, and buttery. The almond bear claw was so delicious with a generous filling of almond paste baked in. And the 'rebel within' had a perfect egg inside, but was disappointingly small for the price, and the sausage was hard to taste.

Stephan Cano

They always have beans from roasters all over the country.

bratheeskaran panjaratnam

Hands down the best macchiato I had.

Sara Weith

By far the best coffee, pastries and staff you will ever find. I love everything about this place. The beverages are perfect Everytime and the pastries are something you will dream about

Pamela Robinet

The best customer service Comet Coffee in MO. The line always long but they are fast and make your order to perfection! Judith, Miles and Chris were very friendly and calls people by their names. They would even suggest to upgrade when I get my free frap! Highly recommended!

Josh Thomas

Consistently perfect. Their baked goods are some of the best you can find in any coffeeshop/bakery in St. Louis. Wish there were more locations!

Alvin Jonathan

This is a good coffee shop to work or to study. They have several choices of pastry and they look good. I tried their ice latte, the espresso was a bit light and the milk was Ok. Overall, it is a good place to stop by.

Therese Imbus

Excellent Service....Excellent Coffee

Sarah Sharp

Presentation, ambiance, staff friendliness, delicious treats... this place is amazing! What great choices, and thanks for the suggestion because the vegan chocolate chip cookie was incredible! Move to Mpls!!! Miss this place already ❤

Kaleah Callaway

I'm officially here at least once or twice a week. I always have a good time. The staff is very nice. I really enjoy how their conversations never disrupt anyone else's experience. Not a lot of coffee shops get that right. The latte art is beautiful and adds a nice personal touch. They do a great job of keeping the establishment clean, and even pick up your plates and cups from your table.

David Thompson

Great vibe, staff, ambiance and of course coffees and teas.

Charlie M

If you're looking for a great cup of coffee in the Science Center - Forest Park Community College area check out Comet Coffee. Joking with the barista I asked her if the coffee was made from melted comets. She chuckled and said the place was named after the classic Comet roller at the Forest Park Highlands.

alex nye

The bathrooms are nice. Oh and the coffee had very unique flavors. I didn't know coffee had so many different flavors

Adam K.

Limited selection on coffees. However, the caramel latte I got was good

Milin Vora

Amazing spot that clearly trained their crew to be on their game. Staff is super helpful in spite of the likely high standard and it shows. 1 of the best all around coffee spot. Thanks!

Cameron Purves

Exceptional coffee and incredible baked goods.

Jessica Chambers

If you want some kindness served with your delicious cup of coffee, comet is the place. I've just gotten used to snobby baristas, but they don't have those here. I love hanging out here, great people, great energy, and if you eat gluten, try the croissants.

Teresa Buckner

Great coffee and the pastries are amazing! Great place to study

Dave Lyon

Great coffee, friendly staff. Very nice space as well. Traditional cappuccino or flat white options as well as various pour over and iced drinks available.

Mike Kilian

Takes too long to get a cup of coffee. I like mine with cream and they have none. I'm not in a big hurry generally, but if you're behind 5 customers, it can take a while. I do appreciate fresh ground and brewed coffee and that's what I do at home.

Patti Carr

Perfect, loved the spinach croissant, best chocolate chip cookie ever, pour over coffee very good, and Kyle was exceptional with all his suggestions. G.P.

Tory Berra

Great coffee, quick and easy, not a ton of indoor seating but they have a few tables outside.

Josh Gellock

Visiting from Pennsylvania for just the weekend, I decided to try this place out. It's okay, but too pricey. I got a coffee and a croissant. I think it would be better if you didn't have to ask for cream, but it is what it is. The coffee was bitter and felt like there were too many competing flavors. The croissants were a bit greasier than I would like, and the taste was lacking. The service was good, but if I lived in St Louis, I don't know if I'd give it a second chance.

Said Masoud

Amazing coffee and delicious pastries! Also has a nice atmosphere

Victoria Johnson

Always a good stop for a quick cup of wonderfully brewed joe! As well as ONE OF THE BEST BEAR CLAWS I have had the honor of DEVOURING! So buttery.. flakey, mildly sweet, and cooked to get a deep golden brown to bring out more nutty notes. Wonderful :)

Kate H

The coffee here was not very good however I did enjoy the quiche the service was blase and I hate the Tipping at the counter that the customer base is subjected to

Walker Lawrence

What a wonderful neighborhood coffee shop. The staff is nice, intelligent and really knows their product and craft. The waft of buttery croissants is enticing. I only wish they opened before 7 as my visit for work made it difficult to go but for one day.

Jon Stegenga

Neat little specialty coffeeshop. Super chill and friendly staff. Great coffee.

coconutladenswallow

Not particularly impressed with any of it. The folks were nice but the drinks lagged. The wife and I stopped in and had a flat white, latte, and a chocolate cookie. Her drink was average, mine (latte) tasted more of warm milk than coffee, and the cookie was much to salty. We'll be exploring other stores and doubt we'll return.

Shiningmuse Studio

nice place, friendly staff, try the oat milk in your coffee. hours could be longer

Sameer Tare

I made a short stop at this place during an event at the nearby science center. The staff is very friendly. I tried the buckwheat muffin and loved it.

Annie Griggs

Very cozy and pleasant here! The baristas were super helpful and the music selection good. I enjoyed a coffee and spent a while getting some work done. I’ll be back for sure.

Norman Lau

Nice place

Kate Kloster

Great customer service and fantastic coffee from roasters around the country. Pastries are amazing too!

Yoshi F

Smells great inside, affordable coffee, they change up the coffee every week or month (I forget).

Cassie DeWerff

Great coffee and pastries! Loved the bearclaw we had! Definitely coming back here again when we are in the area!

Marcus Kline

Love the coffee, love the pastries, and the sandwiches are the best (get it with bacon) at the Kirkwood location. The owners are down to earth and make really good quality food that is locally sourced.

Reginald Martin

Excellent service and not afraid to let employees celebrate holidays with family. Closed.

Jeremy Genin

Great coffee! Convenient location!

victoria m

They were friendly and nice to me. I tried the Iced Chai tea latte and the blueberry muffin. I usually love iced chai tea because of Panera, but this chai wasn’t as sweet which is a little disappointing. Just a really milky taste. The blueberry muffin, unfortunately, was bland to me. Like, really bland. It’s superrrr moist though! I love the texture it’s just the sugar rush isn’t there and I was expecting it. Maybe I’ll try a different pastry next time. But, they’re really nice and welcoming!

Oliver Prince

This place has a nice balance of run and pass. Great atmosphere and food offerings. Customer service is better than most of the coffee breakfast places. I refer to Starbucks, Kaldis and Panera bread as examples of needs improvement. A good place for meetings and hanging out for couples. Not sure I would bring kids though. I just wish it was in a better location.

Jake Goldsborough

Great coffee, and a cool vibe. Small, and maybe a little noisy if you’re looking for a place to work or study, but its a great place for great coffee.

Rachel V

AMAZING coffee drinks and the best chai ever! Long line but it went fast. Waited about 5 minutes for five drinks but worth it. The space was pretty tight though. No where to sit when it's busy. Not good for groups. Or kids.

Luke Reichold

Favorite coffee bar in STL

Michael Miles

Wonderful pour over

Andrew Bono

Great staff. Great coffee. Great pastries. I’ve never been disappointed with Comet Coffee.

Brian Adle

Great coffee and I was lucky enough to get a hot chocolate croissant! Yum!

Natasha Tonge

One of my favorite places in the city. Great place to learn about great coffee

Lauren Donoghue

Best croissants around!

Mike Johnson

Comet coffee is a great place for a third wave experience! They have a large selection of baked goods and lots of different beans to choose from. They also had an extensive selection of tea! The seating space was small but comfortable with an outdoor area as well. Definitely somewhere you can sit and work or chat with friends.

Anna Pomazova

I'm very aprticular about my coffee. Their coffee is outstanding. I love their pastries as well. Oh.. and their servers are always very nice!!!

splashy bOi

The best cold brew in town. Seriously.

Frank J Samuels

Good coffee, relaxed atmo. I like to pick up a newspaper, yes, a newspaper and come here to relax and read.

Moments With Mercy

Coffee was decent. The place is a bit pretentious for my taste.

Gavin Regelbrugge

Great variety of coffee!

Dasha Guyton

I drink so much coffee it probably runs through my blood and this place has the best coffee I've had in decades. No cream or sugar needed

Jason Ashton

Too small and busy. No place to sit

Daniel Caffarel

I really like the coffee! Of course, the pastry is nice, too. The darker, flakey pastry tastes great! It's all very well baked and full of flavor.

Phil Knower

Great Coffee, Great Service, Good Spot.

Marissa Aubuchon

Wonderful croissant

Grace Larson

Great customer service and fantastic coffee from roasters around the country. Prices are amazing too!

Brendan Knapp

Great mocha. Cool vibe, friendly people.

Jessica Burke

Staff are wonderful and the atmosphere is comfy and welcoming! This is my go-to place when I have class.

Michael Bloodgood

Great Joe! ☕

Molin Ray

Good place to get coffee and get some work done

Allison Morris

Amazing baked goods, really good coffee, friendly staff. Tight space, usually pretty crowded during peak times. Not a great place to study. Good place to grab coffee with a friend. They serve coffee in little pots so you can linger over your coffee for a while.

Tantrum Niche

They only have one relatively small size, they didn't have any milk besides 2%, and they are pretty costly conserding these concessions and their nearby competition. Having said all that- they certainly weren't rude and the coffee was pretty good, even if it wasn't exactly what or as much of it as I had hoped for. They're fine. Not bad, not my favorite, but perfectly serviceable.

Visaal Ambalam

Fantastic coffee and smells wonderful inside. I'd recommend the iced vanilla latte.

Paul Cunningham

Simply Awesome. Bzzzzzzzzzzz.

R Kovalski

Honestly speaking the best coffee I have ever had in US. I had cappuccino and chocolate chip cookie. Very very good :)

Zach Smith

This is hands down my favorite coffee shop. Whenever we are back home in St. Louis, we come here. Everything is simply on point. We first started coming here a couple years back and enjoyed geeking out on coffees when it wasn't too crowded, and they really helped me and my friends to learn and appreciate the craft in ways we didn't expect. The coffee is just so good and they do an exquisite job at milk drinks (and baked good for that matter). Bravo to you all, and thanks for putting that nice little satellite shop in a few blocks away from my mom's place in Kirkwood!

Yulia Ostro

Lovely cup of cappuccino with required glass of water on the side. Would be nice to have the required sugar cube, and for the cappuccino to arrive with the pastry I ordered

Diana Rickles

The coffee is excellent! The pastries are just as good.

Cathy Villhard

Super helpful and prompt service, great coffee and the baked goods are best I've had at a coffee shop... ever. I will come back!

Makaela Willis

Love this place! I was in the area and need a coffee shop to have a drink and do homework. All the workers were extremely friendly. If I am ever back in the area I will definitely go there again

Tom Goodwin

Best place in St. Louis to get coffee from craft roasters around the country. Awesome baked goods.

debbie kious

Customer service is top notch.

Eric Chrostoski

One of my favorite spots! I love that they bring in beans from so many great roasters. The baked goods are incredible.

angelrules78

Good coffee and food. Cute and friendly servers. Quiet ambiance that's good for reading writing working.

Emily Brown

This place has the best coffee we have been able to find in the Midwest. As New Zealanders this is the closest thing to the European style coffee we get at home. The flat whites are delicious. The milk especially is silky smooth! Thanks for having us.

David

Unexpectedly nice! Parking is easy too. Presentation is on point

Brad Beggs

Don't expect either a quick or typical cup of coffee here, everything is made to order. A little expensive because of this--and the waits can exceed 10 minutes--but if you have time to relax and enjoy some great coffee, take the opportunity to stop here. Really good pastries and cookies, and a generally buzzing but quiet place to sit among a younger crowd of work-at-the-coffee-shoppers.

Ben Dye

Parking can be difficult, but that can only be further evidence of the awesomely modern coffee atmosphere of this shop right by the zoo. If you want options for coffee based on your preference, rather than just being forced into one bean type, this is the place for you!

corinne lattimer

High on my list for a coffee and croissant treat. Treat a friend to the joy of handcrafted specialties.

Wilson Tour

Great service, the staff are all very nice.

Emily Bush

Hipstery vibe

Jonathan Romine

Excellent pour-over for the coffee snobs. Great selection of local roasters and beyond. Serves Sump (STL), Blueprint (STL), Sweet Bloom (CO), among other coffees. Don't forget the amazing croissants done right.
