Chill atmosphere. Get the CinnaNut latte, a delicious specialty.

Bill J

The best place to get your coffee fix in Stillwater.

Griffin Opel

Justin Lied

Hilariously disinterested staff. Such bad service it was comical. Management needs to pull their head free of their underside and get rid of someone.

Prashant Tapre

Perry Hall

Amazing what they do with the small space, great patio in summer fall. Right next door to outdoor park and river market!

Kelly Franklin

Great place for a quick smoothie

Don Hankins

Great place to stop for coffee in Stillwater. We bicycled from White Bear Lake to Stillwater. Then we stopped at The Daily Grind for coffee. My wife had a delicious mocha, and I had a perfectly made cappuccino. We then sat on the outside deck and enjoyed the view of the St Croix on a beautiful fall day before heading up the Browns Creek trail back to White Bear Lake.

Miles Winslow

What a fantastic coffee joint! It's where all the hip locals drink their coffee.

Pam Litsey

Very weak latte. I asked for another shot of espresso due to it being so weak and I am not sure what she added but she didn’t run the espresso machine and it didn’t taste any different. Very disappointed.

Shandrea Stallworth

Nice and cozy on a rainy day. The bookstore is a plus!

Dario C

Stop in for an excellent coffee, pastry, or sandwich while sitting on the comfortable couch seating while you peruse through the books of the adjacent bookstore!

Josiah O’Nullian

Don't really know What the complaints are about. I just ordered an albino iced mocha. Fast, courteous, and nice!

Winston Sollay

Never been here. The online reviews look great!

I work out of coffee shops a few times a week as I do freelance photography for work. I came early today after taking photos of the sunrise in Stillwater. Excellent coffee, the staff are the friendliest I've ever experienced at a coffee shop, and the other customers are amazing that come here. I live in Burnsville but I'll make it a point to come here more often. Its right on the river and has a patio that has a great view.

Paul Hartford

Nice simple coffee shop. Friendly place.

Colleen Kunz

Comfortable and relaxunf

William Bennett

Always enjoy the Daily Grind when I visit Stillwater. Excellent coffee along with a small menu. Location has a deck overlooking the St Croix river. Very scenic.

Brian Viengthong

Bev Holm

Always friendly, good coffees and choices, as well as breakfast and baked good.

Michael Wilhelmi

Great little locally owned coffee shop. Very good coffee and treats.

Colin Letourneau

Good coffee

John Radimecky

a fairly cozy spot considering it's in a grocery co-op. So the noise level is a higher than most coffee shops. It's not as inviting to stick around a while and chat with friends vs. other coffee shops, but it is an excellent place to pop in for a caffeine fix or to sit for a few minutes

Vizier42629

Good coffee to get in Martinsburg, WV

Matthew Royce

Camden Goepferd

Come here on the “daily” before work. The staff is very friendly and the coffee is always fresh.

Greg J

Good coffee, great little bookstore, people were very helpful and welcoming.

A Rain

Have been here (Sat/Sun AMs) many times as it is in a convenient location. Breakfasts meals are large and tasty. Service is CONSISTENTLY AMAZINGLY HORRIBLE. It is almost as if it is a comedy sketch - you couldnt be worse if you tried. The lowest word count for an interaction to date has been 2: Whaddya want? I love how they will simply plop your drink or food down and then walk away without a word. And yet they can have long conversations amongst themselves. Location and food rate it 3 . . . barely.

Kevin Kendrick

Stranded in Stillwater, I stopped at the Daily Grind for a cup. Damn good coffee and a scone that melted in my mouth. While I am stranded in Stillwater, I simply cannot complain with a hot cup of coffee from the Daily Grind.

Nick Whittenhall

Thank you being open later than most other places in the area. Most of the coffee shops close so early in the day, yet this seems to always be open. No matter what time of day you want/need coffee...daily grind offers that caffeine buzz your looking for.

Will Matthews

Drinks were well done, and not overly sugary like some of the local chains in the area. Space was cozy, and the view outside was good. Ordered a pastry and it was watery and flavorless. That could have been better.

Airiak Drakkhen

Trivia night on Monday is fun. The chai is good.

Mike Strand

This is the best coffee shop to be had stateside, and gives the best of Europe a run for the money. You can really tell the owners put their hearts and souls into it.

Darya Yarmolenka

This place has a very peaceful and pleasant vibe. I love doing my homework there.

Rick H

Great coffees and amazing nice and friendly staff

Howard Lieberman

Whenever possible I patronize locally owned businesses with high quality goods and services and a friendly environment. The Daily Grind is all this and much much more. Skip the chains and come to The Grind!

Kaitlyn McClain

Love the coffee an the fact a local bookstore is attached!!

chris charlsen

Great place. Great people

Rachael Harvey

Good coffee, nice patio with river view.

Susan Colwell

The owner was brusque and impolite.

Crystalina Peterson

Drew Nolte

Good coffee and great views. Great sandwiches too. Only thing lacking is stronger wifi.

Laura B

Cute little coffee shop. Access it from the back of the building, where they have parking for the bookstore and grocery store next door. It's attached to the bookstore with some cute, but limited indoor seating options.

Ryan O'Keefe

Greatly enjoy the atmosphere, family friendly, food, coffee and the diverse options that can be found.

Andy Malon

Best place to start your day!

Suzanne Hanle

Love coming here with friends. Talk over an iced coffee, sit on the back porch to enjoy the view, or explore the book selection!

Lee Schwartz

Creature of habit with my Odin, no whip cream order...why change a good thing. Looking at the river all year long here, cannot beat the atmosphere. And the owners&staff...awesome!

Jack Hamlett

Good coffee

Sheryl Easterling-Marshall

Awesome coffee, great people, friendly

Dianne Polasik

Great meeting place for the 'smart ladies coffee group'. Warm and welcoming with great owners, Meghan and Tim. Love the chai tea and the crispy bacon that comes with my scrambleds eggs when I go for breakfast. And the St Croix River is right there!

Emily Hardi

NoRegrets JustResults

great find! Good coffee and books! Awesome feel sipping on the coffee here. Great job!

Rebecca Dennis

Best coffee in town, and locally owned

Steve Kummer

30 min wait on a busy morning. Local, yes, but no reason to make people wait for good coffee.

Reed H

Standard coffee shop

Mary Wint

Mmmmm

Jim Pearsall

Great location, crowded if patio is not availible, unfortunately half the year in MN

bryan zachau

Great coffee, snacks and staff

Rocke Jones

The older lady who works there with dark hair was EXTREMELY disrespectful. Instead of taking my order she began “women to women” rude comments towards me and my outfit. I had just came from the gym just wanting to get coffee and she went on and on putting me down for being in my outfit. I walked away because she wasn’t going to take my order and she continued her comments as I walked away.

Jim Seabold

Biked down here on the Brown's Creek Trail a couple weeks ago. Perfect refresher and snack after an active morning.

Paul

Awesome little coffee shop!

Ceres Parsons

I've been here a couple of times in the past and have thoroughly enjoyed it but tonight wasn't a good experience. I came from SE Minneapolis just for the food and some coffee. My fiance and I showed up at 6:45, 15 minutes before closing and were told they weren't serving food anymore because they shut the kitchen down to clean up for the night. I don't know of other places that close their kitchen down early for easy closing. No business should close down their kitchen early. Keep serving food until closing, plain and simple. We didn't even get coffee while there. Very disappointed.

Richard Franco

Very friendly and quick service. Wonderful outdoor patio seating with a view of the St. Croix River. The americano was very good!

Joe Rice

This is a great little place to grab a coffee and read the paper. Lots of cozy places to sit in the back of The Valley Bookseller.

Paxton Berger

Tons of fun options and a large variety of lattes, grinders, and cold brews. The connected library makes for a great aesthetic as well.

Sarah Futhey

Great Coffee... Great Atmosphere.. Comfy Chairs. Great Place to meet up with a friend.

Bradley Peterson

Cofee was good, the place was kind of cramped

Sanibel Dance

We live in Woodbury & work in White Bear but make a pit stop at the Daily Grind every day. Best brew around and incredible owners!

Sarah H

I was trying to find a study spot near me and wanted to avoid chains. This seems more of a grab and go place than a hang out and study place. It was also pretty empty. My mocha was average, nothing special. Probably won't return as the hours are not ideal. They close at 5pm on weekdays and 2pm on weekends. The manager seemed disgruntled when I didn't realize the closing time (never having been there before), but otherwise the staff seemed hospitable.

Hadley Wuertz

Great people and good coffee!

Okon Okon

Was good plce to visit.

Tracy Martinson

Turtle Mocha is delicious. Baristas are great.

MR. Mark

Great View and a nice place to enjoy a cup of coffee

Blaise Junker

Coffee and books and a river view... and great people too.

Lona Ray

Stupendous, Always a treat! Thick cinnamon swirl

Tyler Sippl

Good coffee but be warned: sweetened drinks are extremely rich

jeff davis

Great breakfast sandwich

Susan Anderson

OMG! Love the Tarragon Chicken Salad! And Tumeric tea! Wonderful place for lunch!

Roxanne Molskness

Quaint coffee shop attached to a little bookstore. Nice view of the river. Very cozy and by that I mean small. We did find a table opened up for our group but the seating is a bit cramped. I’m sure it’s better on the summer when you can go out to the patio. Chai tea was not very spicy but still had good flavor and the cafe mocha was tasty. Glad we stopped in to warm up.

Patrick Valdez

Two words, Depth Charge. The staff was friendly and prompt and I will be making this place a regular stop when I'm in Stillwater.

Damon Allison

Great owners, friendly atmosphere. The entrance overlooks the river which makes it a perfect place to stop in the summer of you are walking around.

Curt Zimmer

Top of the line coffee drinks

Jon Fletcher

Great coffee in a cozy environment

Michael Kelly

Simply the best coffee shop in Stillwater. Patio seating available, and an adjacent independent book store. A local favorite :-)

Terese Renteria

Love this place!! Great coffee and awesome service!

Michael Stearney

A small coffeeshop connected to an independent bookstore. Standard menu of coffee beverages. Seating is very limited, especially in the winter when the porch seating is not available. Nice to be able to browse the bookstore while visiting the coffee shop.

One of my regular haunts now that I live in the valley. In the food industry involved owners make for great experiences, and this place is proof of that; the coffee is top notch, the food is mouth-watering, and the price and ambiance and location are all unbeatable. Nothing compares to a great coffee shop, and The Daily Grind has this figured out!

Michelle Billman

DJ hhackel

Great prices

Hank Zane

Take the direct entrance but they are attached to a bookstore so get a Nutty Irishman to sip while you look for Greg Iles books

Michael Kuehn

Coffee not hot

Kelsea Peterson

I like the coffee variety and I like that there is outside seating! I have been here twice and both times the garbage cans were full. The service was great the first time and not that great the second time. I will still go again, because the coffee is so good.

Barbara Crist-Nepp

Friendly staff, great coffee, my favorite coffee shop!!

Get Nesty

The best coffee in Stillwater with the best service! A local favorite

Shaun Doheny

Pretty good cup of coffee. Not the best I ever had, but the staff were nice and the deck had a great view.

Stephen Christiansen

Great little coffee shop at the back end of the Valley Bookseller. Try the PB&J English muffin. Messy but great!

Adam Wuertz

Best coffee in St. Croix Valley and really friendly staff. Tim and Meghan(the owners) are really sweet. The food isn't special but it is tasty and at a good price. Some great drink selection for people who don't like coffee as well.

Sourabh Sarkar

Excellent place to have a coffee . Definitely worthy of visit.

Who doesn't like coffee

The Daily Grind it is the greatest Coffee House in Stillwater run by two of the nicest people. They have the best bakery selection. Our favorites are the pumpkin bread and the mixed berry bar followed by the chocolate croissant. Breakfast burritos are great. This is the coffee house that you have been searching for.

Carlos Portillo

It's awesome!

chadd gaither

Great local coffee shop located right on the river. The owners make all their pastries in house and Tim's breakfast sandwiches can't be beat.

donna deschenes

Best coffee in town! Super nice owner/operators. Yummy baked goods. Plus they are active in the community. I am always happy to support a locally owned business. This one hits all the marks

Paul Kloos

place is ok.. it is clean except the bathroom toilet could use a scrubbing, when its dirtier than my toilet somethings gotta give. the wood embedded for protection is pleasant and seems to be some sort of mahogany/marble mixture. i wouldnt touch the stimulants there as they are overpriced and overrated. Thankfully the people weren't too inquisitive and left us alone we like that. there is wifi that performs with not too high of a ping and good upload and download speeds. That is where the chaff is in all the wheat. there are some good research tools there nextdoor as well.

Sarah sniil

New to town and looking for some quick coffee and 15 mins of WiFi. Asked for the password and the girl snapped that it was only for customers "you have to, you know, buy something to stay".....which is why I was in line. She then pushed a menu at me and my husband and walked away. We each ordered meals (which were fine / grab-and-go/ gas station type food) and when she brought them she threw them on the edge of our table, no eye contact, no words, and stomped off never looking or coming back to ask how we were. I have never felt so unwanted or unwelcome. I have no idea what we would have done to offend her, but I will never be returning to this place, I hope management knows what these people are doing to their business. Most rude and offensive coffee break EVER taken.

Amos Anon

River town coffee shop. Nice people, can get pretty busy on a nice day.

Brian Link

Dan Schwarz

Excellent coffee, cozy, comfortable some and great river views. Yummy breakfast sandwiches.

Sam Hibbs

Excellent coffee specials. Good place to go for a quick breakfast on the go, or to sit down and relax and talk with a friend over coffee. Cozy environment.

Jeff Fellows

Best place to hang in Stillwater waiting for ... well anything.

Gayle Thompson

Food was delicious

Josh Anderson

The baristas were very friendly and made the coffee shop feel like home. They were also very quick and we got our drinks within a minute or two of ordering, even though the shop was hopping with customers. Great experience overall!

Alisa J Lor

The coffee was delicious, many different varieties, they also had sandwiches

Shawn Glaser

This is a great coffee shop to get a good cup of Joe or one of their specialty drinks. I personally love their espresso milk shakes and smoothies. The staff is always friendly as well. It's conveniently located down town close to to the river for a great walk before or after.

Doug Grant

The breakfast sandwiches are amazing, and priced as well as any sane person could ask. I wish I ate there every morning. I could. I should. Maybe I will. I will. Yum...

Becky Degendorfer

Great shop. Local owners who dish out great java, breakfast, lunch, and treats.

Harriette W

Dominic Scatto

Great atmosphere and the Creamy Caramel Blendz was delicious! They had a great selection of craft beers! I didn't know a coffee shop could sell beer?! The one in Front Royal, VA didn't...then again, it is West Virginia! I highly recommend this place!

Daniel Goldberg

Good selection of coffee drinks and food from a friendly staff. Who could ask for more than a coffee shop in an independent bookstore in downtown Stillwater? Small patio out back with view of the St. Croix and Wisconsin bluffs. Also near Maple Island Brewing, if you want a quick pint!

Tisha Palmer

Love the daily grind and love Sid, the best baresta!

Janet Topel

Great coffee, conversations with the locals and a killer view of the marina and St. Croix River. Idyllic! Great sandwiches and muffins with a bookstore in the front to purchase a new or gently used book. Wheelchair accessible in the front/ bathrooms and decks out back to enjoy the Riverview.

Quentin Ikuta

Great coffee and local owners. What’s not to love? The baked goods are fantastic and fresh. Plus, the place is attached to a bookstore so you can caffeinated and look at books simultaneously. If possible, I’d love to see some new blends or roasts for the Holiday season.

Amy Warwick

Tasty drinks and a nice atmosphere. The London Fog was amazing. So cool that this coffee shop is attached to a book store.

Aura Moon

10 out of 10! Awesome coffe!

Graci H.

Many options, so tasty! I love the idea of a library and coffee shop. Cozy and nice.
