This Coffee Shop is included in the category of Coffee shop.
Great space, a variety of seating options, and good coffee.
Amazing service . Amazing people. Amazing coffee. I go out of my way to come here.
Good lattes and good food with plenty of tables and a nice decor.
Best cold press coffee in NE! Also a great atmosphere and delicious food.
Awesome local coffee shop
Has lots of outlets, friendly staff
Always a nice place
Best staff! Friendly, welcoming neighborhood coffee shop.
A favorite for YEARS! Love the staff and the coffee and food are fantastic!
Amazing place to study. Great coffee. Friendly staff,
I love this place. Very friendly staff, really good tea and coffee, and excellent baked goods. There's plenty of seating for a variety of needs: a big conference table, comfortable chairs, somewhat private booths, a counter with electrical outlets.
Neighborhood gem. Great service and awesome drinks. Love the monthly special concoctions.
Awesome staff. Best cold press I had in my life. Great selection of food. And a large dining area.
Great food, great coffee, friendly people, fun, local atmosphere. This is a go-to place for me!
Friendly and welcoming.
"Very Peaceful Place"!!!
I love coming here for a great cup of coffee when I’m looking to get some work done outside of the office. There’s plenty of room to sit down with a laptop and crank through some projects.
Nice place. I liked the old Audubon better, but so it goes.
Great neighborhood spot. Really delicious food, both deli style and hot sandwiches/eggs etc cooked to order. The smoothies are tasty and the coffee is responsibly sourced and brewed to perfection.
Fantastic neighborhood coffee shop!
I've been here 3 or 4 times and I've never had coffee that wasn't burnt. I normally drink black, but I've also tried a latte and a mocha to see if it was any better. It was not. At least the barista was nice this time. That was unusual. Will not return or recommend to friends.
I love the quiet, contemporary atmosphere and friendly baristas. I adore that they have local artists on the walls selling their work, and that I can camp out and work for hours. Also... The Killer Chai is the best!
Very nice staff and prices. Their cake is really amazing too.
Really good coffee. A little spendy though.
Great spot for tea and pastries, if you can tolerate the smell of roasting coffee.
Booths off to side have power outlets! :) Awesome coffee and good seven layer bar. Really nice designs and set up, staff was super friendly and nice and laid back. Seems like a down to earth place. It got really busy by 10, but there's a lot of space and chairs.
Great coffee nice outdoor and indoor seating
Good spot to get some work done, and relax for a bit. It can get loud up front, and isn't an "in and out" coffee stop, but great if you have a bit of time to spend. Their menu is always fresh and local, with a variety of offerings no matter your tastes.
I was a regular costumer. It's always busy because is good. I love their smoothies and pastries.
I really like this coffee shop. Yummy cold press , try the classic. They have blended drinksss!!!! Yay! Also i love the breakfast!
Great place to hang out
Perfect coffee shop with good bites and great brews!
Excellent! I had the B Fast wrap with bacon and coffee. I will definitely stop again next time I am in the twin cities
Absolutely terrible. I ordered a cappuccino and it tasted incredibly burnt. I had to add a bunch of sugar to make it drinkable and it was still overwhelmingly bad. The simple syrup kind of tasted like chemicals, and they had a cocoa shaker that wasn't plain cocoa, it was a hot chocolate mix,yet there was no indication if this until it is too late and you have already put it in your coffee. Most hot cocoa mixes contain dairy, so for those of us with allergies or diet restrictions that exclude milk products, this is a great way for us to quickly make our burnt cappacinos even worse without any warning. Thankfully half of the 16oz. drink was all foam so I was able to scoop most of it out. This was a terrible experience and I am very bummed since this was my first visit and I was excited to learn of a local coffee shop a few blocks from my house. I am extremely skeptical of ever going back.
This place has great food and amazing desserts! I'm going to add an addendum to this review, the consistency in policy and how things are charged is inconsist from time to time and on a number of occasions I've been told I can do something on one trip and not on others. It can be frustrating at times.
My favorite coffeeshop!! Great drinks and food!! Love their cakes... pistachio is dreamworthy. Also love chocolate on chocolate and carrot cake!! Great monster cookies!
Personable staff and great cold brew!
Cozy, friendly atmosphere, Always bustling with activity. The seasonal specialty drinks are always interesting and made with quality espresso.
A regular hangout for me, especially the open mic nights. Really enjoyable. Fortunate for the rest of you, I am no musician and do not perform. That said, the crowd is totally supportive and the whole ordeal is free.
Always a welcming staff that know just how to make a drink you'll enjoy. Wonderful place to study and catch up on some work.
The food was really good but the chairs and benches were quite uncomfortable. I could feel the springs of the seat the entire time. Service was great and coffee was decent. Nice place to walk to and I would go again but maybe would sit in a chair not a booth. :)
Great service at my favorite local coffee spot. I rarely get coffee but the smoothies and chai are very tasty. Bowls and treats available for dogs outside at the sidewalk tables.
Always quality food and service!
I love you, Coffee Shop Northeast. I love you. Your almond croissants make me feel like a whole person. Your coffee... holy gods of life, SO GOOD! I have made it my Sunday morning tradition to stop by and pick up some tasty treats before hitting up the dog park. Thank you for opening my eyes and introducing me to reality.
A nice coffee shop with a good mix of cafe food. Obviously free Wi-Fi and plenty of seating. The coffee is good too. It's my go-to when I'm in the area
Such a cool and lowkey hangout spot!
One of the best dirty Chai's I've had! Plenty of tables and free parking with in a block.
Super great place but everyone knows it! Can be extremely full which is only reason for 4 stars.
Solid, hippy/eclectic-style coffee place. (You know what I mean.) The coffee quality is nothing to write home about, but I think the hodge-podge of snack, breakfast, and lunch items makes up for that. Decent place to sit and study, as there is a lot of seating available. Additionally, the art you see on the walls is made by local artists, and is (get this) *totally ok for you to purchase*!! (Don't miss out, Jonathan!) I might lurk back to this post for to give a 4th star, if I try (and especially like) one of their cappuccino drinks...
In the whole NE area, this coffee shop is the best!! Besides serving good quality coffee , they have delicious food. I'd highly recommend to try at least one of the quiches!!
Great little coffee shop! Lots of food as well, even some vegan options!
Great smoothies and a nice back room space for large groups.
Try the Hot Jodi specialty drink!
Decidedly mediocre in most every way. Not to say that there's anything bad about this cafe but nothing stands out as exceptional. It's definitely a business just trying to pay the bills and doesn't have a pitch or objective. Coffee is about on par with Starbucks including — somewhat oddly — in overall taste. They do offer a large quiet space in back which is pretty neat.
Great bathroom for parents with babies. Friendly staff and quick service! Loves it
Great location for coffee and conversation. Good looking snacks as well.
Enjoyable atmosphere. :)
I had no idea this place had such an extensive menu. It has a small front room and larger back room with lots of seating. Employees are extremely friendly and fun. This will be my new study spot.
Friendly, roomy, cheery, cozy coffee cafe with lots of real, fresh food choices. Music in the front room for an upbeat vibe, but quiet in the back for conversation and work/writing. Large, group meeting table available. Free parking.
Friendly staff, comfortable seating and atmosphere. Great coffee, fun concoctions, and snacks. Excellent sandwiches too.
This place is a favorite. Good coffee drinks, friendly staff, great location with ample free parking, good food for a coffee shop (esp the quiche). Only downside is the temp between the front and back is about 10 degrees different so bring a sweater. Also my wife spends way too much money here :)
Good coffee. Good banana bread. Great deco in restroom!
Stephanie was the best with a bright personality!! What a place! Great coffee. They have Italian roast which is my favorite! The decor was fun and the music they played kept my toes a tapping! My Gf and I had time to kill, googled and so happy we found it. We played cards. Drank coffee and left in great moods! Go. NOW!!
Very good coffee! Slightly more expensive than I would like but most coffee shops are. Busy, but didn't have to wait too long!
Love this place! Great coffee, great food and great people.
Good coffee and beverages, decent food. The environment is reasonably welcome and has that classic indie coffee shop / cafe vibe — tables and chairs are a mixed bag. In all it's a good place to hang out or work for a little bit, but I can't say that I personally feel that it's conducive for working there much more than an hour or so. Outlets weren't that plentiful and lighting was super bright (for my taste). Still a good place though.
Coffee here is great with a good selection and some various other food options like salads or pastries. Chill atomsphere with friendly staff, if you're like me it's better to go to a local place over a chain like Starbucks. Also like the punch card for return visits nice touch.
I visited coffeshop ne for the first time and WOW!! This place is my new favorite spot in the cities, hands down. The staff (all awesome women) were fantastic. The woman who served me was wearing a Goddess Gang t shirt, need I say more? ❤ I ordered a killer chai. Let me tell you, I've tried lots of chai before and the killer chai was the absolute best chai I have ever had in my life. The food is also amazing, I had the turkey pesto sandwich and potato sausage soup, both were amazingly delicious. I will be coming back to this spot as often as I can! Do yourself a favor and check it out.
Such a cute little cafe with a huge menu! They have a unique selection of lattes that you won’t get anywhere else!
First visit to this local cafe, and I loved it. Cozy and quirky, but clean and quick. Hazelnut latte was fabulous. Varied seating from couches to both to two-tops. Outlets next to many, not all, perimeter tables.
Like going here but I know they are man haters
Good smoothie
Walked past under awning. Where is that coffeeshop? Oh THERE is that coffeeshop. Nice coffee. Cavernous, well lit, dollar refills!
Prices are similar to starbucks and caribou. Coffee was REALLY good. Cozy place, nice staff, and free wifi.
Cold press is like rocket fuel. Coffee has great flavor. I like the caprese sandwich a lot.
The service and coffee is terrific!
Lots of room to settle in here. The atmosphere skates between a friendly neighborhood feel and a fresh arthouse vibe. Great place to do work or to meet with a friend. Service was quick and personable.
The Coffeeshop NE offers ample seating, friendly service, delicious breakfast sandwiches, and most importantly, excellent coffee and espresso drinks. The Eggel sandwich is a favorite in the morning. It takes a few minutes for them to make it, but it's worth the wait for fresh, fluffy eggs and melted cheese. If you are a fan of espresso drinks, they make a great Cubano which you can't find everywhere.
A lovely place to go. I had The Mangler. Here are my thoughts. Rarely have I been equaled by something that was created specifically for me to consume. But, make no mistake, The Mangler - as it is so perfectly named - got the best of me. A contradictory combination of cold brew, espresso, and cream, The Mangler exists to tear down the wall separating “creamy” and “bitter” as well as the wall separating a skillfully crafted coffee drink and a weapon of mass destruction. Complete with as estimated 900 mgs of caffeine, the Mangler exists to destroy the one who consumes it. It is, to put it plainly, mutually assured destruction. The Cold War in the form of a cold brew. For it exists to destroy the humans that so foolishly think they can finish a drink that bears the title “The Mangler”. Yet, in the process of destruction, The Mangler must be destroyed itself. In order to mangle, it must be mangled in return. To be honest, I’m not even sure why I like it. Yes, it’s good. But, mainly, I just respect The Mangler. I respect it in the way I respect an equal. The Mangler knows me and I know The Mangler. I see its purpose. I see its drive. I see its mission. And, damn, do I respect it.
A bit loud but very trendy space. The coffee is excellent and the workers all seem approachable and were very friendly. I've been multiple times and it is one of my favorite coffee shops in Minneapolis.
love the vibe the coffee and all the food!
Autumn makes my cold press lemonades perfectly!
Exactly what I was looking for -- hot tea and coffee, and delicious sandwiches and snacks. Also, as others as saying, the staff is friendly.
Wonderfully delightfully marvelous place. Delicious coffee, nice assortment of pastries and other delectable goodies. We found a table in the back and six of us enjoyed a pleasant undisturbed time together. Parking is off street, only a few steps away.
Great service, coffee, and desserts.
I'm a huge fan of local business, especially when the get it done right. I absolutely love these guys! The coffee is good and strong, the atmosphere is fantastic and the employees are a ton of fun. This place is totally worth the shop if you're in the area!
Wheen I'm next door for a massage I get lunch and coffee here always good,
Nice little spot. They have good quiche here.
Great space, great coffee, great service. All I could ask for.
Consistently good drinks with a cozy venue. The few bakery items I've tried have all been delicious.
Good food. Comfortable seating. Friendly & helpful staff.
Because of the wonderful food...and phenomenal coffee, this is always my favorite local place to visit. The new expansion is wonderful! My only complaint is that it's not near my work....I'd be there every single day for lunch.
Really cool! Warm atmosphere! At ease!
The coffee is great - and that's coming from someone who is a self-professed coffee snob - and their rotating selection of deli salads are delicious as well! Plus free WiFi & tons of seating... It's great for a pit stop or a place to sit & do work. Love it!!
My favorite coffee shop for years. Plenty of seating. Great coffee and light breakfast or lunch. Genuine, warm staff.
Good coffee!
The eggle is delicious! Their bars and baked goods are sinfully good. And their bread for sandwiches is the best I've had.
This place is alright. Food options are good, drinks are fine. Front of the cafe is nice but small. The back room feels like a cafeteria and it gets loud when it's busy. Decent place in a pinch.
Good coffee and good food at a good price. Study environment is pretty decent, albeit a bit quieter in the back. Staff is friendly, but be sure to wait for your drink. I've had mine swiped by someone not paying attention and then they had to remake it.
Wonderful place! The staff is kind, the food is good, and the atmosphere is great. As with any good find - its busy. That's the only downside. I prefer a quiet corner to hang out in but the food and service is very much worth a noisier spot. The Veg-wich and the Caprese sandwich are worth the noise all on their own. But I would also recommend checking out their seasonal coffees and teas while you're there! Very tasty. As an added bonus, they hang and sell art of local artists! I see it rotate fairly often too, so they're helping the community.
Good for meetings or for study work or relaxing. There's better food at a better price in NE coffee shops, but this is a good space and the staff are always helpful.
Cozy neighborhood coffee shop. Nestled between local businesses. Great food, drink and customer service. Showcase local artwork.
Great coffee and surroundings
I got there for less than 30 mins, maybe 15 mins. Talking to a friend, we planned to get food and maybe dinner there. A worker there came to me and told me I need to buy something if I want to stay in the coffee shop. Like dude, I just got here. I’m gonna buy something. You don’t have to remind me.
Lots of food options. And the food served tasted great. I'm impressed!
Great neighborhood cafe. A little pricey but well worth it.
Great food, great prices, and lovely atmosphere with art from local artists.
Great place to sit, drink coffee and hangout. The staff are very nice.
Lovely cafe with more than adequate seating. Several options for vegetarians on lunch menu, as well as gluten free. Fast and inexpensive food and coffee drinks.
I love this place. Good service, comfortable ambiance. Cozy.
Best tasting coffee and espresso drinks in the metro. Amazing staff here as well! Love it!
One of my favorite coffee shops. Great people. Great atmosphere. Awesome food. Awesome chai.
Great space, great staff, great menu and service!
Pretty decent place overall, cozy in the back, and bring a jacket. Some the staff could have been friendlier, maybe it was me.
love this spot, great food, great drinks and a cozy environment. love the staff, they are funny and personable.
Support your local businesses. Jodi and Jenny are awesome!
Freshly made salads and desserts. Great tea options. Friendly, inviting atmosphere.
Stumbled upon this place and I loved it! I got an almond croissant and an iced vanilla latte. Both great. There is a ton of places to sit inside. So excited this is in our neighborhood and can’t wait to go back!
Great place to go to study. It has lots of seating but is often very busy. Espresso is usually on the weaker side and cost is a little bit higher.
The chicken salad is spectacularly delicious. My favorite chicken salad.
My go to coffee shop in the N/NE MPLS area. Quiet, comfortable, great yet simple food. Coffee game is on point.
Good coffee, good bakery, nice space with ample seating, and on top of all that, they were playing Queens of the Stone Age in the shop. 10/10 will come here again
A great variety of desserts. The Mandarin orange cake is amazing! The best thing about The Coffee Shop is: It's OPEN until 10 PM!!
A bit pricey. The folks I was with ordered eggs, and I am pretty sure they were just microwaved.. they came unceremoniously served in a plastic bowl with a bit of cheese interlaced. Coffee/chai was okay. Staff were very friendly.
always good. everybody knows your name
Really great neighborhood spot, relaxed atmosphere with fresh made food.
This local spot has great old-school coffee (no $4 a cup pour-over here!), yummy homemade food (the veggie and brie sandwich and a cup of soup is my favorite on a cold winter evening) and a true sense of community.
Great place to meet a friend or to have a quick bite!
Great local business with friendly staff and great lunch menu.
After finding the wait at Hazels too long, went across the street to this place to grab some quick coffee and food. No regrets. Lots of coffee choices, and non-coffee. The maple soy coldpress was very sweet, but the coffee flavor was excellent. There's plenty of street parking around. They had decent selection of breakfast and lunch stuff in the case. Friendly staff. It's surprisingly spacious inside, with lots of seating. The back room is really cute, and perfect except for the lack of windows. A sign by the register said they have a live music series, which is cool for a little coffee place.
The food is top notch, coffee is very good, but most of all the people who own and the many local people who work there make for an enjoyable experience. I highly recommend this establishment.
Nice, strong coffee, good eats with a neighborhood feel. Lots of families so totally cool to bring the kids.
Nice and warm in there today and delicious quiche. I am always impressed by the menu and baked goods. It's wonderful how the same staff is always there. Shows job longevity.
Great atmosphere, good food! We come here for knitting sometimes and it's always a good time
Good food great feel would definitely go back when I am in town
Great place to meet
This is a great spot to go and get work done privately.
Love this neighborhood spot. The staff are really friendly and the drinks are spot on. Definitely check them out if you're in NE and need to get caffeinated.
The vibe was chill in the back. Great music in the front. Great coffee. Slightly more costly.
Nice people, good service. Parking lot. What's not to like? Yummy place!
The coffee was good, but the tables were dirty.
I've traveled all over the country, as well as abroad in Europe and Isreal frequenting some of the best rated coffee shops in the world and have not liked any as much as this one. Seriously good drinks, awesome wholesome foods, and pastries that are at least as good as Grams used to make when I was little. I received good service and the atmosphere rocked! Also I have never seen such a real sense of community in a coffee shop before. This is certainly a place to check out when you are in Minneapolis's North East!
Great coffee and nice place to socialize!
Great place to grab a bite to eat or a cup of coffee. Super local and sources lots of ingredients locally, as well as getting their energy from solar panels. Really nice, relaxing atmosphere and friendly staff.
This place is just beautiful. Super friendly staff and a nice overall atmosphere. Lots of tables to spread out and work. A whole back area as well, which features more space and a stage. There was an open mic the night I went, which was great! But also, if you wanted to work and not hear the performers, the whole front area was apart, and had a door that shut for quiet during working. Great food, great coffee, and great feel. I will come back!
Great staff, friendly and professional. Will be back!
I had a very disappointing experience at this place around 11am today (Wednesday). When I was dropping off my friend who lives a couple blocks from the Coffee Shop, I asked if she would recommend the place since I was in the mood for a cup of coffee before heading back to work. She did not recommend it, saying the service was poor and the coffee was average at best. I decided to give it a try anyway. As I walked in, I smiled and said hello to the 50+ year old employee walking by me, and she did not say a word, did not smile, and it felt very rude. Oh well I thought, we all have our grumpy moments, right? So, I went to the counter to order: there was a regular customer in line ahead of me, and the FOUR (repeat, FOUR) employees behind the counter were all talking to him about the weather since it had snowed a foot here two days ago. Cool, maybe they are friendly people here after all. But 5 minutes later, I was still standing there waiting to have my order taken, and not one of the 4 employees bothered to say, "we'll be with you in a minute" or anything courteous like that. And they had not just gone through a busy rush or anything, as there was only 1 other person sitting in the place.... FORGET IT. I bailed, and went to the place nearby that my friend DID recommend (starts with an "A"... and it was such a good experience, and great coffee). I won't ever be heading back to Ye Olde Coffee Shoppe.
I really enjoyed this coffee shop. The menu was extensive in the coffee & espresso category and much more than expected in the food/bakery category. The macchiato I bought was perfect. To me this is a good test of a coffee shop. I could really tell they were very customer focused because they asked if I wanted the traditional macchiato or the Starbuck version. I confirmed traditional & the result was as good as I've ever had. The froth was dense and sweet & the espresso was flavorful confirming high quality ingredients, drink prep & machine maintenance.
Retro clothing mostly.
One of my favorite coffee shops in NE. Great place to study
Nice cute little coffee shop
Friendly folks, great coffee, and good food too!
Great coffee. Nice atmosphere. Open mic nights are really cool.
I have been getting coffee at this place over the years and have always had a great experience! Good coffee, delicious treats & eats and fast friendly service. Don’t let the line scare you off here when they are busy, they move through it really quickly! I ❤️ NE Coffee Shop
Great food, next to a great thrift store AND its solar powered!
What a great coffee shop! I compare every other place to this one. Great staff, environment, coffee and food. I've spent so many weekends here doing work. Plenty of space and outlets. Go here. Get the Classic Cold Press and the Naughty Bananas sandwich!
Love this place. Friendly faces that always seem to remember your face as well. Food is good as well. They always have entertainment on certain days. Just an over all cozy coffee shop to chill if needed.
I like a variety of flavored lattes and coffees and this does not disappoint. Great atmosphere to gather with friends or a group as well. Update: As someone who loves to try new coffee shops at every opportunity, I've begun routing my trips into or out of the city with a stop at The Coffee Shop NE. The last time I was in, I was obviously exhausted from my long day and the nicest Barista (Jayla?) assured me she would help me find the right coffee for me. She did - an iced soy mocha if I recall correctly - and it was really good. They also have compostable straws. Will definitely be back.
