Cat lady birthday party! So dang fun. What an amazing bunch of hosts at the The Cafe Meow

Abby Allen

Love it! ♥️

Hnou Vang

I don't want to pay that much to see cats. The coffee and pastries are okay.

Jim Raynor

Best, most, relaxing place I've ever been to. I wish I could stay all day!

Donna Colelli

Coffee and cats to play with for a small donation - wonderful!

Lulu Kitty

Beth Gasser

Seriously the best place ever for cat lovers. Spend time with cats in a place that is cat friendly and filled with like-minded people. Such a great idea. Coffee is pretty good too!

Jude Ghang

It’s a different world in there if you love cats.

bokurawauta

Absolutely amazing place! All of the cats are so happy and well cared for and the food and drinks are delicious! If I could, I would have adopted right then and there!

Julie bee

They don't care about the customer experience at all. Go to the shelter . It's free and they actually care about you as a person.

Angeleah Weidendorf

I went here from 5-6pm and I had a great time. More than half the cats were awake and playing with the toys, the other ones were either sleeping or just chilling in the cat trees. The banana bread was delicious, my tea was okay. Some of the other reviews seem like people don't understand that cats nap during most of the day and they're normally hesitant around strangers. I thought this place was pretty good, it was definitely a nice break from studying for finals.

June Grogan

OMGosh! Cute and yummy treats AND I get to pet kitties!! YES!!

ChillyPepperNathan paul

I really loved it. It's a calm environment and if you like cats I suggest you go

Alec Wenzel

Very rude staff, given instructions on the phone and they were completely different in person. Not accommodating at all.

leadhead880

Amazing cafe, cute cat theme, and Cats. So many cats. Ugh they're adorable, and each are up for adoption. To date, the shelter has had 44 cats adopted since they opened in February of 2018. That's amazing, and they take good care of the kitties in a safe environment for them.

Michael Schultz

I really like this place. Good drinks, well behaved kitty's. Great part of a date night. I recommend getting a reservation, because they book up fast. They do leave two slots per hour for walk ups, but many people just try to do that so don't count on just getting in right now. The place is busy, but the staff are great.

Brittany Oliver

This place is the cat's meow.

Alysia Turenne

this is an amazing place. there are loads of cats in the cat room and the staff is very friendly and helpful if you arent sure about which cat is which or anything else. and the menu items are good. they also sell coffee cups and cat toys

Ryan Gleason

Super cool idea, worth the price. Parking is a pain however.

Rebekah Spinler

Cat lady birthday party! So dang fun. What an amazing bunch of hosts at the The Cafe Meow

Olivia Cicha

We went in the middle of the April snowstorm for their 100 adoption celebration. I got the sassy cat mocha and it was delicious. It was fun playing with the cats! If you love cats, you need to come here.

Deseure DeBerry

Loved learning about the cats and observing their interactions. Very cozy and comforting.

Keelia Silvis

Oh. My. GOD. All the kitties!!! My fiance and I went here on a date, and it was delightful. You have to reserve an hour in the cat room in advance, and it costs $10 per hour, but it is totally worth it! There is a perfect mix of snuggly and playful, and all the cats seemed incredibly happy. Only downside: All the cats in the room are available for adoption (!!!), so leaving at the end of the hour without taking home one of them is excruciating. I wish they had more food options in the actual cafe, but who cares about not having sandwiches/scone varieties when there are cuddly kitties to play with?

Ally Luthi

Make sure to book ahead if you want cat time. Time slots fill up fast. They do have discounts for students for cat time along with seniors, must reserve the time in store.

Leanne Husnik

My 6 year old daughter, her best friend, her friends Mom and I all went to cafe meow for a play date. We had a wonderful time! The treats are delicious and the kitty play time was so fun!

Clinton Kunhardt

Truly a wonderful place! You can tell every cat is given so much love here. The staff are so attentive, the space is really well laid out, the coffee is quite good, and the cats are beautiful. Honestly a 10/10 experience, definitely would recommend.

Sarah Welle

Super cute! You have to pay to sit with the cats, but t is worth it because I know it is expensive to take care of the little cuties! Great coffee! Friendly staff! Great atmosphere.

Kathy James-Green

Very unique. And...The COFFEE IS EXCELLENT

nadeen Mustafa

I WAS APPALED WHEN I FOUND OUT I WAS BOT ABLE TO HOLD ANY OF THE CATS OR ANYTHING. Anytime my family and I went to pet a cat it would run off. I felt very claustrophobic in the itty bitty room filled with random people that stare at you ever time you go to touch a cat there is also false advertising I took my best friend here for her birthday and it was a complete rip off what $40 to sit on a couch? Also my coffee was screwed up and watered down and gave me diarrhea I am discussed and never recommending this to anyone!!

Tessa Williams

good coffee, but rather expensive to play wuth the cats. a drink should get you in for free! at least for a small amount of time.

Erik Krause

Staff wasn't very attentive and couldn't answer basic questions. Paid for an hour and was told to take a seat and they would let me in when it was my time. 15 minutes past the scheduled time I had enough and just walked in. I did enjoy the time spent with the cats, but the business needs to improve.

Gay Pasta

Overpriced food. $4 just for a macaroon with a poorly drawn cat face on it. The cats were nice though, few activities to do such as color in a coloring book or look at pictures of cats really. I thought the place would have more of a comfy chill vibe but it was just sitting in a room awkwardly petting cats with people staring at you while obnoxious pop music plays in the background. Best to just visit once for the experience.

Laura Pinske

This is a fun and unique place to go with friends or on a date to sip coffee and hangout with kitties that are up for adoption. In my opinion it would be an even better place to go if you’re in the market for a cat because they all had great personalities and it was so hard leaving them at the end of the hour!

Ray Gee

My granddaughter loves cats and she loved it.

Ashley H

This is a perfect place to bring friends to have some coffee and meet some lovely cats. I had so much fun!

Rebecca Goldsberry

Awesome place to hang out with some cats and have a beverage. The cats were really cute and one in particular, Tinkerbell, is the epitome of a cat. Definitely worth checking out. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Shelby

Surprisingly good coffee! The cat room is a separate area that you have to pay to enter, but you can also observe the cats through large windows in the cafe area.

Travis Murray

As much as I love the fact that you can come in and hang out with kitty cats while drinking coffee, what really sets the Cafe Meow on a higher plane is that they work with several local rescue organizations to get the cats adoptef into forever homes. The coffee is tasty, the staff is friendly, there are some cool gift items for sale, and it all benefits a great cause. I highly recommend a visit. Just don't expect the cats to show the slightest degree of intetest in you. They are cats, after all.

April D

This place provides a safe and active area for cats to grow and play. Reading the website carefully to plan your visit at a regular or discounted rate would be beneficial to the consumer instead of getting upset at the barista and/or writing poor reviews. Cats sleep anywhere from 12-14 hours a day, so its not the Cafes fault of they're "too sleepy." Also, some cats have good days and want lots of love and some days they retreat to themselves, don't take it personally. Great cofee and gift shop items too!

Allison Doyle

Loved this place! My friend and I both had delicious coffee drinks and being able to go pet the cats and just hanging out in the cat room was a very fun experience! I'm looking forward to going back here again soon! :)

Megan VanVickle

Drinks are always great; fun names! The cats are generally friendly, some of them are super shy though, so don't go into it assuming that every cat is going to want to snuggle you. Having been to Cat Cafes in South Korea it's wonderful to have one here! I do wish there was a way to go more often without breaking the bank. In Korea they would let you hang out longer if it wasn't busy.

Kahley Steinmetz

I'm so happy this exists!! I forgot my allergy meds so I couldn't hang out with the cats, but they had tasty drinks and the staff was nice. You do need to pay for cat time, but definitely worth it.

L S

Cute, local cafe. Drink prices were reasonable compared to nearby options and decent quality (Americano was not too strong, not too weak). Go for people-watching as much as for the cats and you'll have a good time. It is worth checking out for a unique experience, but I will probably only go back once the novelty wears off and it can feel more like a cafe that just also happens to have cats. Right now, the cats are definitely more the focus/schtick.

El Amason

Good coffee! Pretty kitties. What's not to like!

Kelly Robledo

Just went there tonight and really a cute place with lots of love for these cats! Its lovely and really cool place for the cats to hang out as well as their new human friends. What a great idea.. The staff is nice and kind and you can tell they love the animals and have a passion for trying to connect this sweet ones to potential adopters. They have really cute cat books. artwork, items all over. Its a cute place.. !!

Ishla Alicea

Amazing place, friendly staff and the cats where awesome!

Craig Santangelo

Drinks are average price for coffee shops and are pretty good. Make sure to reserve your hour in the cat visiting area!

Stefanie Storby

The cats were mostly sleeping the whole session we were there. I understood this and my kids were OK with that (that is what cats do). But what would probably make us not come back was the staff. They were not very friendly and one of the workers would even pretend to take a call from her mobile phone when my sons would talk to her about the cats. She would start talking on the phone, walk out of the room and as soon as she got out of the room, I would see her put the phone in her pocket (?). It was really strange, and it happened more than once. Also, there is a rule that cats can be placed on a person's lap IF the staff is the one who places the cat on the lap. My son asked if the one of the 1-2 awake cats could be placed on his lap to be pet and she snapped at him and said no (?). My son is shy so that freaked him out. It was not a super fun experience. But at least now I can use The Cafe Meow as a threat to my sons. (for example, I can now say something like "If you don't clean up your room, we are going to Cafe Meow again." )

Natalie Rooney

Did cat yoga for the first time here, it was so nice to have furry friends around while you are stretching! We were able to put catnip on our mats to invite the cats over which was a great touch!

Amber Ballweg

Great cafe. Had a Sassy Cat, mocha with cayenne, and it was delicious. The service was very fast. Visited with the kitties, and had a fun experience.

Nicole Dittman

$10 for an hour in the cat room, will be let in on the hour... they have games and puzzles to do while you wait. You have to almost be aggressive when trying to love up in the cats... sorta felt like I was bothering them when they're trying to nap.

Avery Hamilton

I like this place very meowch. I cat believe they let me play with those puuuuurrrfect companions. I was feline quite good with my oatmeow mocha. There was a space kitty wallet and I totally bought it, that kitty was out of this world.

Tricia Lorntson

Cute little coffee house. The cat room was clean and well-maintained. Brought my niece and nephew and they loved petting all the kitties.

Dakota Strege

Kitty cats, coffee, caring and compassion. Go there for extremely affordable pricing, great coffee, cutie cats, and for $150 take your new furry friend home with you!! For $20 you can go there with your family and create great memories for a lifetime. One of the rare treats in this world, that's normally filled with cookie cutter restaurants and tired ideas of entertainment. 10/10, 50/50, 100/100 EXCELLENCE!!

Sonia Merten

I LOVE this place so much that this was one of our stops on my birthday. An hour felt like the perfect amount of time in the cat room. If you're looking to adopt a cat, this is a great way to find the 'right one' that you gel with. Even if you're not looking to adopt (I'm content with my one kitty for now), it's a lot of fun to interact with kitties of different personalities. There's a knowledgable employee supervising the room who can tell you more about each of the cats' temperaments. I can't recommend this place enough - it's definitely worth a visit if you're a cat lover.

kate.b

Super cute, enjoyed the nice happy hour (a 15min trip instead of the standard hour for 3 dollars instead of 10) and petted some cute kitties and and had some good sips.

Iemawn Chughtai

Adorable little coffee house with the cutest little macaroons. AND THEY HAVE CATS.

Marcelo J

It is nice to find a place where people can came together and spend time with felines looking for a forever home. The cafe is divided in two rooms separated by glass, one is the actual coffee shop and the other is where people can get acquainted with the cats, this room is equipped with pleanty of climbing areas and places for the kitties to take a nap, a sofa and places to seat are provided for their future human butlers. In order to spend time in this room you must pay a small fee (Sunday's fee was $10 but you could spend $3 for 15 minutes during the week) there are a limit on the number of people that can be in a room during a set period of time so you may want to call ahead.

Reggie Klein

Calling all cat lovers! Great space, awesome staff, fantastic felines.

Autumn Lafferty

The best cat cafe I've ever been to! The cafe section has a variety of snacks and drinks, plus a gift shop area, books, etc. The employees are welcoming, informative and take the safety and wellness of the cats seriously. The whole feel of The Cafe Meow is honestly purrfect.

Tricia Lorntson

Cute little coffee house. The cat room was clean and well-maintained. Brought my niece and nephew and they loved petting all the kitties.

Justine

The best place ever! Adorable cats and fantastic snacks!!!!

Deneen Gannon

Lots of fun for cat lovers! Staff was very helpful. Can't wait to visit again!

J 1 S

This place is great. The cats are fun and are happy. $10 for an hour of entertainment is fair in my opinion. The coffee was great and every thing here is local which is good for the local economy. Come here and check this place out. I'm sure I time the menu options will grow as well but right now it's mainly coffee drinks and light snacks. This is an ideal spot for a unique date.

Carolyn

Cute cats but was not worth the trip or the $10 per person to see the cats. The coffee shop portion was not cool/cute enough for me to go back. I felt like they could've revamped the coffee shop portion to be cooler to make people want to come back but it was nothing special and kinda disappointing. The cats seemed exhausted and there was not much to do or see with the cats. I won't be returning.

Vane Lopez

Friendly staff and good coffee

Stephanie Freund

Cute kitties. I didn't try anything in the cafe. Just played with the cats. I was there looking to adopt though. They let a few people in, and there isn't a lot of places to sit when everyone is around.

Johan Rodriguez

Cute babes and plenty of time to play with them.

Jules A.

I was expecting more. The staff was harried, they need more help. Not really a lot if information on gluten free or dairy free items and hardly any seating. The cats were cute, but there's a $10 fee to meet them and a schedule.

Jacqueline Brand

Cafe was a littly pricy compared to surrounding coffee shops. Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable with my questions regarding the cat staff.

John F Kolath

Had a great time visiting with the cats at Cafe Meow. My daughter would have loved to take them all home. I really liked that they have an info wall with bios about each cat including name and age. The snacks were delicious and the coffee was great. Extremely friendly staff. Great place to go even if you don't go in to visit the cats.

Adam Emanoff

Fun Cafe with lots of drink and snack options and big windows to watch the kitties. The staff are friendly and you can tell they love cats! Local art is for sale and check out the themed nights: cat yoga, trivia and more. The information board is a great place to learn about the cats and seeing the book of cats who already found a home was great.

Nicole Kitzhaber

Cats and tea...you can’t go wrong

Pamela Matovich

I love the Cafe Meow for what they are doing for these cats (all are up for adoption) and supporting local businesses through the cat products, food, and beverage items they sell. This is about doing something for the right reasons and in my opinion, they are achieving that goal! It’s a learning curve and with positive feedback and new ideas, they will keep growing and adapting. I love to bring my kids here to see these cats. I appreciate the work that went into the fostering process before the cats could be selected for the cafe environment. We can’t have a cat so we choose to come and socialize with these cats as often as possible. We have been there four times and have four more reservations booked already. To me, when I think of the costs for food, litter, the nice play area they have and vet bills, $10 per person seems reasonable to me. I have had dogs that cost me hundreds of dollars each month in food and vet bills. Yes, your experience one day won’t be the same as the next - that’s cats for you. We enjoy walking around and seeing them sleep or stroll around. If one wants to play, it’s hilariously fun. The kids are learning to be patient and let the cats decide. I respect the reservation process and rules of interaction because it protects the cats. Cafe Meow - Please keep up the hard work because I know how much you care for these cats and I have had only positive experiences with the cats and staff!! I hope you continue to grow and achieve your vision. Clearly the goal of finding homes is working well - given the number you have adopted so far!!

Tom Eret

Finally a cat cafe in MN and it's great! Only 10 bucks to hang out with the cats for a whole hour, and the coffee is much cheaper than I anticipated. The staff was extremely friendly and made sure we had a great time. If you're a cat lover it's definitly worth stopping by!

Alyssa Buchanan

Had a really good experience here. It had vegan cupcakes (which I really appreciated), board games, and adorable kitties. Highly recommend!

Michael Chergosky

Drinks were okay, but overpriced. Come for the cats.

Heather Milne

A great spot to meet a handful of adoptable cats. They charge $10 per person for 1 hour beginning each hour. The cats are all adoptable, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and full of love and cuteness!! A cat lover's paradise.

Todd K

You have to pay additional costs to handle the cats. The hot chocolate is pretty good.

Marcus Corbin

The customer service here was terrible. The individual who rang us up was super rude and didn't really care that we were customers. They just wanted to get our order in and that's it. It also took forever for the employees to make the coffee. My father left the store, got spyhouse across the street, came back and the employees were still making my coffee. The coffee was good, but after wanting to pet the cats, we realized you had to pay $10 per hour to even go into the separate room. Sort of a disappointing place, but at least the coffee is good.

N Suvor

Cute new cafe in Uptown. Has special room where you can interact with cats. All cats available for adoption. Fun coffee drinks. I tried the 'Calico.' Recommend.

Ryan Ouradnik

Wonderful place. I love supporting them.

Kenton Peterson

First, to the people complaining about spending $10 for an hour with the cats... Go to a park if you're too cheap for this. The idea is great, but I would've rather spent $20 for 30 minutes with fewer people in the room than $10 for an hour with like 10-12 people. I think the cats would've been calmer/less skittish that way. Fun idea overall though.

Brogan Berg

Awesome staff, adorable cats, awesome coffee! Good place to sit

Dakota Strege

We loved this place. We went there at the end of a girls weekend. I'm from Iowa and my friends are from Fargo so the cities are a great meeting place. We call ourselves the crazy cat lady cult, so what better place to spend an hour on a Sunday. The staff was nice, the cats fantastic.

Ariistra

I liked coming here, but there are a few small things I'd like to see changed before I come again. I believe that there were way too many people in the little room with the cats when I came with my friend (maybe 6 not including us.) In the hour that we were there, we both could only spend time with a cat each. One of the cats was a little aggressive and would not let anyone even touch her. One of the people working at the cafe came into the room, and overall that would be ok but a lot of the cats started coming to her and wouldn't come to anyone else. I feel there weren't enough cats for everyone in the room, especially with the limited space and that a few of the cats were sleeping. Also, you can't pick up the cats which brings down the value of coming here. I think it would be much better if they were allowed to be picked up until the cat became agitated. The coffee that I got was actually really good, so there are no complaints there. I would recommend lowering the limit of people allowed in with the cats at a time and changing the rule about not picking up the cats. Also, one last thing, is that the amount of rainbow flags in this cafe might make some people who are religious or have different views uncomfortable. I understand that showing that everyone is accepted in the cafe might be important but I think less of these might make everyone more comfortable.

Sara K.

Awesome place! Such a great idea cats and coffee <3 I love that they give shelter cats a great place to live with a high chance of getting adopted in a casual atmosphere! They are up to over 160 cats adopted!! Definitely worth the money, they have a little gift shop too so you can spoil your cats at home!

Oscar Reyes

My girlfriend got an email online stating we could get a free cat visit for her birthday. We tried to use to coupon online, but found we could only use it for a walk-in. Unfortunately I accidentally booked an earlier visit myself within the 24 hours and promptly called to cancel it and was informed I could not get my money back. I take responsibility for my mistake but I don’t appreciate how the cafe meow dealt with the situation at all. I find it hard to understand how this is a customer friendly offer to leave it to chance whether or not you can come in for a free visit.

Padee Ly

Super fun and a nice, calm atmosphere. Sadly my friance and I came by after a big rush of people so the cats were pooped out but it was still nice.

Elisabeth Erler

I ordered a hot chocolate a few weeks ago and it was terribly overpriced. I ordered a small and I expected it to be more than what it actually was (keep in mind that I paid $4 for a very small amount). The drink itself was remarkably distasteful. The hot chocolate tasted of only hot water. It also didn't help that my mother ordered a horrendously bitter coffee for the same price.

Christy Vang

Lovable cats and good cafe drinks and treats

Katie Matzke

We had a wonderful time at the Cafe Meow. The staff were super friendly, and were happy to tell us all about each adorable kitty. When they found out we were celebrating my daughter’s birthday, they gave her a free cat-shaped macaroon! Perfect way to spend an afternoon for cat lovers both young and old.

Katelyn Burns

Fun place to spend some time if you love cats. This Cafe has 2 rooms. One like a normal Cafe with cute cat themed snacks and products and coffee drinks. To go into the cat room, you must pay $10 and book your time in advance. The cat room has many different cats, cat activities, and seating. You can bring your snacks into the cat room. Everyone was friendly and there cats were fun. Great place to get an hour of cat time when you are allergic and can't have them at home.

Adelene Casler

You have to pay to see the cats and the cokies are big

Kimberlee Simones

Decent coffee, enjoyed the cats. Great concept and love that 41 cats have been adopted so far!

Diego Kaku

If like cats, you will like this place. To visit the cats you should make an appointment first, because sometimes the place is full.

Sam E

Amazing place! The staff are awesome, the cats are plentiful and the coffee is great, what more could you want! They do a lot of events which is cool. Absolute must visit, in my opinion.

Elizabeth Marty

This place is great! I love what they’re doing for these cats ❤️ !! Got the sassy cat which was amazing. Such a cute little cafe and I love that they have art by local artists for sale there. Also, yes there is a 10 dollar fee to visit with the cats and you do need a reservation but that seems pretty reasonable. I’m sure the money is going towards taking care of the cats in the room, so I don’t really see a problem with that

Lexa Kandola

So much fun. Had a latte first, then spent time with the kitties. A staff member stayed inside to comfort and/or feed cats, answer questions. Need reservation for cat-time, but not cafe. Can see cats from cafe and outside. Cafe Meow adopts cats and cares for them, including socializing for future placement.

penny lewis

Such a cute experience...I love the concept of this place n tbe coffees not bad either!

Becca Juhl

Nice place. Staff was very kind and helpful. Wish there was more of a variety on the menu, but other than that it was teriffic!

Audri Kyanite

Nice setting good tea adorable cats

Salika Pao

great place to visit.

Cora Henkemeyer

Wish the cost to be in the cat lobby was cheaper. Gets pretty pricey once you bring family and also order drinks. Very fun experience though if you are a cat lover!

Sabrina H

We were sent a birthday coupon but it was unclear that is could only be used in store. As such we waited till we called the shop to book our time but they said that the time we wanted and any times close to that were also booked. The store put me in touch with the owners and I hoped that they could help us fix the situation but they responded by running me around in circles and doing nothing at all to help. They were rude and uncaring and really didn't want our business. I'm not sure we will ever try to go there again. While they may care about cats they seem to not care about customers at all. Update: we did go in to use our coupon and got three tickets for 11am Saturday. Once we got our food an employee came to inform us that they had accidentally over booked the hour and they could move us to noon. We could not change our time and so we had to go into the over booked hour with a children's birthday party. This made our experience miserable. We barely got to pet the cats because there was so many people in the hour. Even after have going I would not consider changing my 1 star review because they should never have allowed us to book alongside a kids party.

Megan Jpmap

Cozy, well organized, friendly atmosphere and staff. A great place to recharge..

Sam Stewart

Absolutely adorable. Not too spendy, either. Make sure you make a reservation, though.

Katie Cordes

I love this place and the mission behind the store. The drinks are ok, but really you'd come here for the cats

Katie Davis

This place is awesome! The cats are well taken care of - they have space to play, roam, climb, & take time alone. The drinks are awesome, the cat art is cute, the people are friendly, & the cats are heartwarming.

Sara K.

jenna hegedus

The coffee is great, the workers are friendly, and the cat play area is super clean. I love the concept, and how it supports it's local community as well as the cats in need of homes. Cant wait to see what events they plan in the future!

David Hegedus

Had a fun time today visiting all the kitties at the Cafe Meow. We arrived a little early and ordered a cappuccino and a vegan cupcake, which were delicious! We then went in and played with the cats. The play area was comfy and very clean, the cats seemed very happy there. The staff wa very nice. Wishing them great success!!!

Katie Ruud

Such a wonderful place to relax and grab a coffee...and pet some kitties!

Hełłš Cħıłđ

This place is amazing! Just visiting supports the shelters they get their cats from. The people here are so nice and fun to talk to. Such a happy place.

Rosey Chan

Love going there during exam week, I can grab a coffee and relax with a few kitties before heading back to my home to work on more essays and final homework. I would highly recommend their chai tea latte.

Jess D

I'm so glad I read the low reviews. I will not be wasting my time or money coming here.

Good coffee but expensive. I was disappointed, you have to book online or in store to play with the cats AND pay $10. A (very) small cappuccino and a cupcake (you can’t use your card under $5 and the coffee was like 4.70) for a total of more than $9 is kind if a rip off and I didn’t event get to play with the cats. Great concept, and I understand they need money to take care of these kitties but still... also, please offer a larger choice of dairy free milk (at least coconut would be great). I’m giving 3 stars because the cafe workers were extremely nice.

It was ok didn't know you had to make a reservation to see the cats. But now we know and plan to come back.

Jessica Kraml

I love this place and their mission to save the kitties! They even have kitty yoga

Lydia Maendel

We were able to walk in and pay to enter the cat lounge without making a reservation. Then we played Catgo! We had a fantastic experience and a wonderful time supporting a great cause.

Michael Boehnlein

Absolutely loved this! Brought our 9 and 7 year olds and they also loved it. My only complaint is that the 1hr went too fast.

Andromeda

Loved the atmosphere and vibe here. Cats are super friendly along with the workers here who helped my group and I out. Would definitely recommend to kill time or your day off, but would go later in the day or when traffic isnt busy.

Samuel Gunvalson

Nice little Cafe with cats! It costs money to go see the cats, but that goes to help take care of them so it's worth it. The Chai tea we had was good. Would definitely recommend if you're a fan of cats and coffee, would go again!

I like the idea of this place- and it was cute- but I can't help but think that I could replicate the experience for much cheaper by getting a drink at Starbucks (which has a larger variety and better drinks) and then stopping by a cat shelter (with kitties that need more social interaction than they are getting). Ordering a drink took a really long time because you have to go to the same register that people go to to check in for their reservation or purchase a walk in ticket. The drink was also not that good.

very friendly staff members both inside the cat room and at the cafe. one of the ladies working at the cafe noticed my boyfriend had his coffee, but I was still without mine. she asked me if I had gotten my coffee yet, and when I told her no she apologized and promptly remade it and carried it over to our table. it made me feel like she generally cared about me as a customer! my boyfriendand I even got to enjoy putting together a cute cat puzzle while we drank our coffee and waited for our turn in the cat room. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the cafe and with the adorable cats available for adoption. what a fun experience!

Honestly I love this place. It functions as a foster home for cats and gets them adopted as well as socialize them. What I love about the cafe is that it’s designed for the cats. There’s not a lot of sitting area but that’s perfectly fine because the design of the room is for the comfort of the cats, not the pleasure of the humans. Overall the staff are super friendly and really helpful, and it’s obvious they love cats. I think the rules that they’ve set in place are for the cats safety and comfort. Obviously there’s a rule that you can’t pick up the cats- how are the staff supposed to know whether or not you know how to properly hold a cat? And it’s just kind of rude to wake a sleeping cat. Cats sleep like 16 hours a day, how would you like it if someone woke you up multiple times throughout the night when you slept? Also, I think $10 is perfectly reasonable. Obviously cats aren’t free to sustain; they need food (wet and dry, to get a balanced diet) and toys and cat litter and new scratching posts and all the necessities that it takes to own a cat. Plus, they have to pay rent on the building, which isn’t going to be cheap. I think the Cafe Meow is fantastic. Obviously if I could go see cats for free I would, but I’m a reasonable human being that understands that it costs money to take care of cats.

If you like cats, this is your place to get your fix. Cats very friendly and great to be with

Lucifers Kat

Cats. Cat accessories. Worth it. That's all you need to know.

Andrew King

Fun place, first time there and I generally like the idea. Cats weren't that active but they're still fun to play with. Because cats are shelter animals, they are available for adoption. That also means that there is always going to be new cats as well. Obviously stay away if you are allergic, but otherwise it is a fun way to pass the time.

Raqiya Osman

The coffee and the cats are just Purrfect

Brianna Ladwig

It was a fun atmosphere! The cats were chill and the coffee was tasty.

Diane Stewart

I love going here. The staff is very friendly. It is a little expensive but it is a good thing to do every once in a while.

Mary Knutson

Kind of pricey, but something to try once.

Spice Cube Animations

I love it! I am only writing the review now but a while back i got a really shy cat and now she is only good around me and nobody else! You need to go!

Allison Plummer

a bit pricey but worth every penny to be able to hang out with these wonderful cats

Todd Cordes

Fun place, nice atmosphere and great coffee. The staff was less than friendly and the car room is a ripoff.

Sitra Salhe

I really like the cafe. Great service Nd cozy vibe. They have some adorable cats but if you want to play with them, then late afternoon is not a great time because they get tired and sleep. I guess the cats are used to the attention because they weren't interested to play. Some where even sleeping on the top because they didn't want to be bothered.

Sweet kitties and verry friendly staff, both in the front Cafe and working the cat room in back. The Cafe section is small and almost cramped, especially when busy. I think Cafe Meow could do with a larger location, and I'm hoping they make enough to afford something larger soon. The menu items are delicious, from vegan cupcakes to purfrctly named cat:pun coffees, teas, and cocoa. They also have giant T-Rex cookies that are a favorite with kids. I'm the cat room are a wife array of kitties taken in from local no kill shelters. They are all up for adoption, with papers posted inside talking about their names and dispositions. The staff are attentive to the needs of the cats, keeping an eye on nrew introductions who are more likely to be overwhelmed and making sure they feel safe or removing them if anxious. That is something really important to me, knowing the kitties are safe and their wellbeing is put first. I highly recommend the location and even further recommended reserving your hour online before coming to the shop in person. Every hour is quite busy, so make sure you don't miss out on a time slot.

Candace Lindow-Davies

A thoroughly enjoyable hour of petting and playing with a variety of furry, frisky felines while drinking coffee. Great toys, books, posters, cat crayon creations...a purrfect evening! Good luck with all the adoptions!

Carolina Maricic

Kids had fun

I was so excited to hear there was a cat cafe coming to MN considering these are my 2 favorite things. I absolutely love what they’re doing and how all the cats are adoptable and they get to be cats while waiting for their forever family. The coffee is really good and I would pay to spend a whole day in the cat room if I could!! If I lived in Minneapolis, I would be here everyday.

Sam Boii

Helpful staff and cute cats! Definitely would come again!

Katie Evert

This is the best idea! We had a blast playing with the kitties and having a drink. Highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys cats.

Michael 438579088

Be respectful of the cats.

Dee Dredge

Buy the whole hour! It's worth it!

Stefanie Foreman

The cats are adorable and drinks are really good. Great place to go and chill.

Amanda Quade

This place is a wonderland for the adoptable cats, about 15 cats in total. The cat space allows for the animals to crawl and sleep in all sorts of nooks and crannies, and for that I applaud them. The cat visitation area has plenty of windows so those not visiting can see the animals (great idea). The drink menu is fairly basic, with a small dessert case that I didn't partake in. I think it's a lovely idea overall, but the cats seemed exhausted by the perpetual stream of people. You can't bother them while sleeping, nor can you pick them up to snuggle. The visitation room is truly designed for the cats, so there is a limited amount of comfortable seating for the visitors- it was a challenge to get truly comfortable and enjoy the cat company.

Matt Sorenson

Very nice place, had a great visit. Nice folks tending the cafe, great coffee, all sorts of cat merch, and of course many friendly cats to enjoy the company of, all of whom are adoptable.

Matthew Kauffmann

Too much fun. It’s kind of like an interactive cat zoo. If you’re a cat person you have to go.

Levi Indvik

Really fun place and idea! Hard to pick a good time to come though, as the cats were mostly sleeping, but obviously you can't control how the cats feel. Really would only come for the cats, not the coffee.

Bobby Barjasteh

Kitties and caffeine, there is nothing better.

Anthony Davis

As a lover of cats and coffee, I was thrilled by the news of a cat cafe opening in Minneapolis. Since The Cafe Meow’s opening, I’ve been only a handful of times, but have loved everything about the place. The coffee is excellent and it’s clear the staff cares as much about the cafe side of things as they do the cat rescue mission. I have twice visited the cat room: first out of curiosity, and second when considering adoption. The experience of visiting the cats here is very different from the shelter experiences I’ve had. The cats are not caged and are much more relaxed. I felt I was getting a much truer-to-their-spirit interaction with the cats free of the distractions of a shelter. Ultimately, we chose to adopt from a shelter because the cat we met there was a perfect match for us, so I’m unable to review the adoption process. However, I’m very glad a place like this exists and even those who aren’t interested in adopting or able to adopt a cat can still get an excellent coffee while supporting a wonderful mission!

Chady AlAhmar

It's Ok. Food is not great and location lack good parking. Ambiance is sub par.

Nivedha Manohar

The cat part is good. The food and drinks aren't too good.

Lexi Reins

I love cats, so this place is awesome!

I love this place. The cafe is very cute and I ordered a delicious mocha. The cats were pretty inactive but we got some of them riled up. It’s a nice place if you’re a cat person and you just want to relax with them.

Aft Blackdeer

My children loved this place!! Beware of the fee to visit with the cats! We were a bit thrown off with it, but definitely worth it!

TrooperJoy

So like this place is great. I’ve never been there, but I can only assume because there’s cats.

John Wright

Terrible location (no parking). Otherwise great concept.

Dave Rowe

This is a great place to check out if you are a cat lover! Good coffee and snacks and the cats are all rescues and up for adoption!

Deann Williams

It's a fun place to go, the Purrrthday cookie is A Must, no matter the age of they love cookies!!!! The coffee and tea are good too! To see the cats play and be in theroom with them is also Purrrty Fun!!!
