This Coffee Shop belongs to the category of Cafe.
I've been here a few times for breakfast which was great, dinner was awesome too. It feels upscale but still casual enough to dress normally and not feel stuffy. Very reasonable prices too.
We went out of our way for breakfast here because we wanted something delicious and healthy. It was worth the walk. It's got a cool, urban decor and great coffee. I had a number of breakfast items including an amazing porridge.
The staff is amazing, I absolutely LOVE the vibe and the decor. I got a macchiato and chocolate croissant. The croissant was bomb. But the macchiato was suppperrrrr bitter and burnt tasting. I've had beautiful rich macchiatos but this one was hard to drink.
Great food menu. A bit pricey, but all of the ingredients are high quality. Coffee is great too
Always a great experience!
Ultimate hip. Food, people, service.
Ordered a served a real cappuchino at this establishment, with good flavor, not over burdened with volume, and with just the right flavor. I can think of two other coffee places that have served a coffee to me of this quality, one in Ann Arbor, the other in Europe. A bit pricey, but worth it too me.
Amazing pastries and coffee! The spinach, bacon, dried cranberry salad with the half cut boiled duck egg on the side is so delicious!
Drinks and food are very expensive for what you are getting. At least the food is locally sustainable but the drinks are the same as everywhere else. We got the half chicken and it did taste good but it was small and didnt come much else. If you are going with a appetite you are going to be spending far north of 100$ (we paid with tip closer 150$) for 2. I had a request that there be some cake or equivalent for my wife's birthday. Instead they brought a half portion of soup. Weird but okay, figured they didnt have cake but then they bring us a dessert menu and i am what the hell. Our server was very attentive refilling our water everytime she walked by. The place is nice and upscale without actually being upscale.
A little pricey, but super delicious coffee, lattes, pastries etc..
Limited but interesting weekend brunch menu.
The food & service are phenomenal! We enjoyed our cocktails at Marvel bar earlier too. Friendly and knowledgeable staff helped us order the perfect entrée to share. Fun ambience with many friendly customers - would definitely go back!
My date didn't dig it but I did. I recognized the regional and norsk aspects but revvedup. The tartare looked like it was stopped on its way to being swedish meatballs, she would've liked the meatballs. Me, I liked it raw
A phenomenal place. I was there for a private event upstairs which I had never been - so cool! The staff is well trained, knowledgeable and classy but not snobby. Very laid back and helpful. We had a dedicated bartender and she made an excellent signature cocktail. We had such yummy passed hors d'oeuvres including cucumber with ramp/cashew butter topped with rhubarb. Had a noshig spreag. Amazing! Tons of gluten free options and they were knowledgeable about the ingredients.
The dude working here today was wildly arrogant and while the sandwiches are good, I still can’t figure out why they are $14
Hours: Monday to Friday: 6am – 5pm, lunch served 11am-3pm Saturday and Sunday: 8am – 5pm, brunch served 10am-3pm
Forget about Starbucks. Just amazing
Some of the best coffee drinks around. Good ambience. Elevated cafe fare.

I don't frequently eat in Minneapolis. I am more accustomed to the comforts of the suburbs. To me parking was a little odd, either costly or hard to find. Seating was a bit stressful because it is first come first serve and fills quickly. There are a lot of people sitting around enjoying themselves and that creates a positive atmosphere but it also makes it hard to find a spot to sit. The prices are also on the high side. One regular sandwich, two open face sandwiches, two pastries, and one cup of coffee was about $55. I suppose that is not bad for the city but it was not cheap either. That is all the bad.. everything else was positive. The food was great, very enjoyable. Everyone enjoyed their food and thought it was tasty. The pastries and coffee were very good. I loved the almond rhubarb thing. The building was also nice to look at. Very pleasant place to be. The service was also great.
Great coffee. Great cookies.
Super cute, great patio, really good coffee.
Classy café with delicious pastries, artisan coffee drinks and a variety of LPs for your aural pleasure. Bar and table seating can at busy times be tight, but it's worth a visit.
Coffe was good. Chocolate croissant was decent and buttery, but could be more airy. Servers were cool. San pellegrino was $6 which seemed excessive to have it cost more than a handmade chocolate croissant. No lemon available for water. Music was good with low volume, perfect for working. WiFi available. Not too crowded from 6-8am on weekdays.
Coffee is great too
This place is a little gem!! Adorable and hip cafe with delicious coffee and an incredibly beautiful and fresh lunch menu - I was only in town for a day, but will absolutely be back next time I’m in Minneapolis!!
Everything is great here! The coffee, the baked goods, the sandwiches, and they even have beer! I highly recommend coming for a sandwich around lunch time. Also a great spot to work if you need one.
Pretty consistently the highlight of whatever day I make it in for an espresso and world-class pastry.
Got a cold brew and loved it. I guess you could say this is a bit of a streamlined, "no frills" kind of coffee shop, and that's just how I like it. They have a small menu of sweet and savoury snacks and a few impressively delicious specialty espresso beverages, nothing along the lines of the ridiculous combinations of flavour syrups and obnoxious blended smoothie frappawhatchamacallits at the big chains. Oh yeah, the croissant here is a real gem!
Delicious coffee, pastries, and food. The latte was amazing, and the cold brew was good. The pull-apart croissant bread (special on Fridays) was one of the best pastries I've had. Pork sandwich was also good - large and a tasty combo of pulled pork, mustard, and slaw on delicious bread.
Great coffee but I was disappointed that they didn't offer much in terms of vegan food. The food looked good, but they were not selling anything animal product free. Other than that, the place was very cute and quaint.
Limited menu but excellent. Coffee, scones, treats, et al.
Great first visit! The baristas accommodated my custom iced miel without batting an eye. A lovely morning to enjoy it in their lovely urban outdoor seating area.
I wish you were open later! I love this place! Interior design is top notch and I always feel welcome.
Delicious food. Amazing and interesting drinks. Plus the staff is always friendly and welcoming.
Love the quaint little place with bar top seats and a number of seated tables. Great coffee, croissants and the Brussels Sprouts open sandwich is a must try!
Really great coffee and pastries in the North Loop! The space is kind of small so during winter you might struggle to find a spot. Still there wait is worth it with great coffee and even more amazing baked goods like cookies, breads and rolls. Prices are in line with what you would expect from a higher end spot and service from the baristas is top notch. Definitely a great spot to visit. Two thumbs up.
First time eating at the BF Cafe, but it certainly won't be the last. The coffee has always known to be great here, and now I know the food is as top-notch as the restaurant itself. Both soups were incredibly comforting and soothing, and the sandwich offerings were unique and varied. I only wish I was in the North Loop for lunch more often.
A plus plus.
The bar here is amazing! The bartenders are extremely knowledgeable and very personable. Yes, this is a hipster bar. Yes, it is the opposite of cheap (aka it's freaking expensive). But the quality of their ingredients and service provided do make for an unbeatable combo for a rememberable experience.
Amazing pastries and excellent coffee!!
Fantastic doughnuts and specialty coffee!
Great food, service and atmosphere. Outside seating too!!
Great coffee, amazing sandwiches and pastries.
Great scones and coffee
Coffee-centric cafe with baked goods and lunch offerings. Strong WiFi and plenty of electrical outlets for working and great bar area to sip a latte and read a magazine or newspaper. Outdoor seating is also available. Be aware they stop serving lunch earlier than 3pm.
delicious fresh impressed ❤
Some of the best pastries in the city, with fun inventive coffee drinks you can't find anywhere else
Unique and delicious pastries! Also, this is the absolute best latte in the Cities! No question there!
Enjoyed a wonderful birthday evening at Bachelor Farmer, starting with cocktails down at Marvel bar, followed by a fantastic meal and friendly service in the dining room. We shared one of the toasts, and each had an entree (lamb and pork shoulder). We also had a bottle of a light and fruity sparkling wine. We’d rate this place a 4.6!
Cute coffee shop with good coffee and open faced sandwich. Limited hours though. They close at 5pm everyday. It can get busy at peak hours. They have a cool outdoor space and I believe they do happy hours on their patio space on Thursdays featuring local breweries in town. No designated parking space other than street parking.
The Bachelor Farmer Cafe is a cafe location right next to the restaurant, The Bachelor Farmer (makes sense). The cafe has a cool tile design on the inside that's very colorful and somewhat Swedish feel to it, and they also have a great outside patio area as well with some greenery and light bulbs strung across. I got a latte there, and as somebody who has a lot of lattes, I can say it was right up there with the best of them. Great area to grab something to go as well if you want to shop around the North Loop.
Well we pai 12.80 for a coffee and a latte. But this was not an ordinary experience at all. I think we just experienced the best coffee experience in North America so we will be coming back. Amazing
Always a lovely experience. Great coffee. Amazing pastries. Perfect decor.
Great coffee and porridge
Bachelor Farmer is the go-to spot on Friday mornings! Their pastries are made in-house and are super delicious. I continually have the pull apart croissant - cinnamon/fleur-de-sel/cardamom - what more could you want?Espresso meets the standard of other top cafes in the area and the interior of the cafe is well designed. Glad I get to enjoy this gem!
Awesome food!
Wonderful oat milk chai latte - spicy and smooth. Baked goods are wonderful, as well.
Coffee is amazing. Wish they had gluten free options
Amazing lattes. Delicious croissants. Cozy place to have a coffee date or study. Wifi is great. Staff is always friendly and welcoming.
It was delicious, we'll be back
My all time favorite. You can't go wrong with any of the pastries or the drinks. My favorite pastries are their old fashioned donuts and the semla.
Delicious over priced food. Built for people with money who only want to eat small portions of fantastic food. Coffee shop is typically a little overworked. Staff sometimes dreary, probably after dealing with an endless line of entitled snoots, late for work, and blaming it on the guy behind the espresso machine. You forget the lack of smiles after walking away with your A+ Americano in hand. Perfect.
Great place, but the coffee was not the best I’ve ever had. A little bit too bitter
Great food, great staff, and awesome atmosphere! The coffee and pastries are really good. The sandwiches are amazing! Fresh food, with an artistic flair and creativity that is unmatched. You could call me a Bachelor Farmer fan boy. Go here you won't be disappointed.
Amazing everything. If you disagree then you're a damned fool or too rich to even be human. P.S. y'all have parking ? That's the only issue I run into.
Favorite cafe in Minneapolis. Usually pretty busy but the Nordic inspired open faced sandwiches are delish.
Delectable breakfasts and on-point lattes
This is not just one of the top cafes in Minneapolis, but in the US. I highly recommend it. The coffee is top notch, curated from top US Roasters. The food is some of the best cafe food you’ll find anywhere, as you would expect from The Bachelor Farmer.
Fantastic coffee and pastries. The only reason it did not earn a Fifth Star is the lack of a savory healthier protein rich offering in the morning Menu. All else is as good as it gets.
Great coffee and cinnamon rolls (the best cinnamon rolls I've ever had!) but the service was suboptimal. It's a small menu as well, but high quality food and drink!
Great service, very nice to be relaxed, and enjoy the pastry and hot or cold drink
One of my favorite coffee shops in the greater Minneapolis area!!
Great pastries and coffee served by friendly staff. Awesome patio too!

The food is very good. The people are friendly. The prices are a little high.
Consistently setting the bar for Minneapolis coffee and dining
Great staff!
Great accept for the hours.
Gibraltar was great! Chocolate scone also good. Espresso and latte
Every time I go there, the coffee is perfect, the music is just as it should be, and the humans behind the counter are lovely as can be. One of my favorite places in Minneapolis.
An excellent cafe with superb food. Everything is made fresh with top quality ingredients. The coffee is always exceptional. The staff are incredibly courteous and polite and treat every patron with the highest respect. It may take a little time to get your order when it is busy but only because everything is made to order. Well worth the wait!
Grab a perfectly balanced cup of brew and a savory baked good, and you're set to go. Great place to sit and take in Minneapolis life--the windows in this cafe are enviable to be sure.
This place is cute and aesthetically pleasing! The coffee is just okay. I didn’t try the food (as lunch ends at 3pm), and the staff was nice, but overall it was alright. Nothing super special.
Great but quite expensive
Delicious coffee, old pastry’s. My first time here, and the coffee cake was clearly a day or more old (hard, dry) I’d come again for a cup, but I’ll avoid all baked goods from now on.
Tasty open face sandwiches but portions are way too small for the price.
Fabulous coffee and sandwiches with the quality of Bachelor Farmer!
Get the wild rice porridge. You will never ever regret it.
Amazing little gem. Fantastic food, great coffee, bustling place! Don't miss it!
Convenient and nice alternative to usual lunch offering
Super cool tile interior and great espresso machine. Unique Espresso from HuckleBerry Roasters.
Reliably good service, food and COFFEE!
Taste and consistency of coffee and coffee art is very good! Love their food!
Make sure to order a large coffee... You will stay longer.
Outstanding. Completely Stupid. So good.
This place feels like co-working - limited coffee and food options (no gluten free food) but a nice environment to work for a few hours. ETA: the response implies that I didn't notice the GF options, which is not correct. I asked for GF on more than one visit. The employees either said they had no options (first and second visits) or said they had a cookie (third visit). I did get the cookie on that third visit and had a reaction so my guess is this was a cross-contamination situation. Unless they better educate their staff, I do not recommend food here for gluten free.
Had a cup of black coffee. Not good. Burned taste.
A cozy Cafe with great sandwiches and pastries. Had a few opened faced sandwiches and black bean chili, all tasted great. However seeing someone ordering one of the pork closed sandwiches, I got hungry again, definitely want to go back to try more of their offerings.
Best staff, excellent food and unbelievable coffee. I love it. Sweet outdoor seating for summer too!
The new cafe is warm and inviting. There's no sign on the building ... in knew it was there but maybe someone wont. Love the bright, airy vibe, great pastries and excellent coffee selections. Big and open enough space to do a little computer work or meet with a client, etc.
Great coffee, great service, great atmosphere! This is definitely my new favorite cafe in Minneapolis!
Came in on a cold morning. Excited that there was a mushroom soup on the menu, got shot down when they said they were out and it was only 11am. So went with the salmon option. I wish it came with another piece of toast as there was lots of salmon on it. But I wasn’t about to pay $3 for one piece of bread. Coffee was good. Cute interior. Bathrooms clean and nice. But prices are higher here. Didn’t get chance to get pastry. No signage on the front so had to kind of guess and really look at map. That would help if there was a sign.
Great coffee and very friendly staff.
Yummy coffee, clean space, bright atmosphere, kind staff.
You may have to struggle for space sometimes and parking is a challenge, but the rewards are worth it: great food, coffee and service. One of my favorite places. I DO wish they'd get the turntable and records going again, though.
Best coffee I have ever tasted!!!
Neat place, decent food. No soup even though on the menu. Kinda small but can't really complain otherwise.
Cool place.Yummy coffee. Loved everything about this place.Clean and welcoming environment.
Nice decor and informative friendly staff. I wanted my coffee to go, but couldn’t get espresso in a to go cup. That makes it inconvenient for me. It won’t be hard to find another coffee shop.
Great venue but small portions. Order more.
Really nice cafe with fantastic pastries and small meals. The blueberry porridge did not disappoint.
Beautiful cappuccino, perfect foam, well done whoever my barista was. Boyfriend had the chemex and it tasted like hot and acidic honey water.. I would recommend the coffee cake as well.
Hands down best coffee shop in the twin cities. Four years of being a college student was all leading to this. Best staff and coffee
I'm always impressed with their level of service, as they are quick, courteous, and thoughtful in their actions. Their coffee drinks are great, albeit I usually just get the same thing (an espresso and a brew coffee) but that's always on point. The pastries they serve are made in house, which are really good. I tend to get the same types of pastries, their savory options are pretty tasty - but on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays they make glazed doughnuts and doughnut holes that are really good. Stop in on one of those days for a doughnut, you won't be disappointed (if a good old fashioned glazed is what you're looking for). So, hands down five stars in my book.
Great
This place will always be one of my (if not most) favorite coffee shops in the Twin Cities. Spectacular service & damn good coffee, especially the iced vanilla latte. If you are looking for a little pick me up, then this is the place to be.
Quite possibly the best coffee in the downtown area & I've never received anything but kindness and welcome from the staff there. Wonderful people, great atmosphere to go and focus for long hours at a time, and the treats are great too. Will visit over and over, I'm sure.
Fantastic food and environment, very busy with most people chatting instead of eating. Other than that, this place is great.
The Bachelor Farmer is great, Marvel Bar is great. TBF used to have a great brunch, but they stopped and opened this cafe. Coffee is good, but I can get a good coffee elsewhere nearby. The food is not good. I think they just get day old Rustica, which is otherwise delicious, bread and pastries and resell. It is as if they do not have an oven. Two of us ordered the brunch special sandwich with eggs and bacon and radish on a baguette. Sounds great! But instead was a rock hard baguette with cold bacon and cold eggs. I also had the butternut squash soup. It was room temperature soup...not hot, not chilled, just room temp. Weird. Red flags should have been that they were out of juice and offered La Croix instead, and that they can't make a bloody Mary, just a limited cocktail menu, beer, and wine. Who wants a Negroni or G&T for breakfast? Moose and Sadies or Freehouse are better brunch options in the neighborhood.
The coffee was excellent but the atmosphere was eh
I want to like this place more, but I think the pastries and the coffee are subpar compared to others in the twin cities, especially when comparing with the quality of dinner they make next door.
This isn't a review, these are your instructions. Make reservations, get a meal, enjoy some of the simple elegant flavors in a Scandinavian setting. Some of the best food around. Go down stairs get a drink. Try an hour or two in heaven.
Clean and welcoming environment, high quality coffee and food
Fabulous coffee and a great atmosphere.
Cool little spot, though not very well labeled.
Very good latte friendly staff and I saw the cutest dog in the world here
Come hang out for a cup of coffee and some great food! Staff was friendly, will be back soon!
Hands down the best coffee I have had in Minneapolis. Pastries are delicious as well. Overall, this place is what every coffee shop should aspire to be.
Favorite coffee shop in Minneapolis hands down. Great coffee, delicious bakery goods, and fantastic service! Perfect spot to meet-up with friends or to get some work done. They also play some killer tunes.
Always fresh, local, highest standards.
Great cafe! Food (light fare) was perfect and coffee drinks were great and fun!
Great food and extremely friendly staff!
Beautiful place to enjoy some good coffee and tasty pastries. The only thing that was troublesome was finding parking on a weekend morning and paying for it (when I went) but maybe it's not that way all the time.
This place will always be one of my (if not most) favorite coffee shops in the Twin Cities. Spectacular service & damn good coffee, especially the iced vanilla latte. If you are looking for a little pick me up, then this is the place to be.
Read a review saying this was possibly the best cafe not only in Minneapolis but all of the US. Not even close. Good coffee (ask for the oat milk!) but beside that, prepare to be set back $10+ for one piece of toast with some stingy toppings. Coffee and toast and a tip = $20. You’re better off going elsewhere. Scandinavian inspired food, and apparently Scandinavian inspired pricing too.
Love this place! coffee is amazing!
Very nice cappuccino! Great atmosphere!
Great coffee and vibe
Vanilla Oat Milk Latte! The greatest coffee shop in Minneapolis: brilliant atmosphere, absolutely fabulous drinks, wonderful people!
this place is a bit overrated in my opinion, however i have only been there once. prices were high. there was a huge amount of people, so no room to sit anywhere (which is great for the business! but not so great for new customers). i am interested in the food, so i'm sure i'll go back and give it 5 stars the next time haha
Our new favorite for a weekend morning treat. The décor is fun, light and airy and it is fun to read all the comments on the hall way walls.
Great pastry and coffee
Great tasting food with fun interesting staff
Fun, bright space for local celebrity sightings and a great pastry!
One of my favorite Cafe's in the cities. Super chill place with great coffee and staff.
The wall tiles!
I have been to the Bachelor Farmer main restaurant a few times and love the food. I've always had good experiences there. My first time to the cafe today and it was not great. I ordered an open faced pastrami sandwich and a glazed donut = $13. The sandwich was sort of tasty but extremely tiny. I walked out feeling like I paid way too much for what I got. I understand paying more for quality food and experience, but this was too much.
I've only had pastries here, but the ones I've had were delicious. The corn muffins are delectable. But...it's a little overpriced.
Awesome food! Awesome service! Awesome drinks!!! Be sure to check out the hidden bar downstairs! Totally worth it! Enjoy.
