Such a cute fun little coffee shop in downtown White Bear Lake. They have a variety of fun drinks and pastries. The seating is a bit limited because the coffee shop is fairly small, but I loved the variety is eating areas available. I tried the maple latte with cinnamon sprinkled on top. I'm lactose intolerant and they had milk alternatives.

My go-to when I was home was always the Black Harbor (dark roast). Loved the atmosphere, and friendly staff. It was a great cup of coffee to start the day off. The company has shown huge support to me and my unit since we deployed to Iraq by providing us with some of this great coffee. I can't wait to get back and enjoy a cup at the coffee shop again, but until then I will keep sipping my cup of Black Harbor, and try to imagine myself back home. Thank you again for all of the support Anchor Coffee House. :)

Awesome drinks and service. Every time I’ve been there it’s been a nice, quiet, cozy environment and has proved to be a great place to study. One of few adorable coffee houses that don’t have swarms of hipsters and teenage “photographers/models” lining up to take pictures of each other and their drinks. The latte art is on every drink which is super cool, I ordered a hot chocolate and when I finished that I ordered a latte and both of them had gorgeous foam art on top. Not only that but I had great conversations with the baristas and it was some speedy service too. Adorable interior and it’s easily already one of my favorite places. I only wish it was open later! Definitely recommend it!

We loved the aesthetics of the shop, the environment is perfect for a day date, getting work done, or studying. The maple Latte with Oat milk was SO good and I wish I lived closer to White Bear so I could visit more often!

Disappointing. Ordered a chicken salad sandwich and a vanilla latte. $20. Half the sandwich was bread. A slice of tomato and two oversized pieces of lettuce. Chicken salad was just meat and a dressing. No red grapes or celery mixed it, as is typically the recipe. The latte was mediocre. I'd skip it.

What a hidden gem! Came here for a lunch discussion, and really liked the laid-back atmosphere and yummy sandwich. The menu is super simple, just two choices for sandwiches, but you couldn't go wrong with either choice the day I was there. I had the chicken salad and loved it. The chicken was incredibly tender, the bun was super fresh and soft, and the portion was generous to say the least. Staff was really friendly and attentive, and all in all we had a marvelous time. Recommended!

Feels good there, like a good place to start a writing project. I had a maple coffee, it's Minnesota's answer to pumpkin spice. Good flavor. Had a cheesecake muffin. Very good. Bought a giftcard and mug for a friend. She likes the mug!

First time coming here and asked for a dry cappuccino. It comes with two shots espresso. Taste is bold but smooth. The barista got the "dry" part correct and the drink was perfectly light in weight. Interior decor is nice with seating.

Stopped in for the first time last week. Cozy, comfy spot for a warm drink and bite to eat! Service was very friendly and helpful in explaining the drink menu and customizing drinks! Lavender latte was especially good, as was the gf muffin; however, $6 for a muffin? This is the reason for 4 stars. Prices were a bit high.

Brewed coffee was just so-so, but the Latte was incredible. Easily the best I've ever had and in a separate league from the big brand names. Environment and decor are very cool and cozy. There are only four armchairs and they really should have a drink stand in between them, but even the tables looked pretty comfortable to sit at. Actual food prices looked too high. We saw $10 panini that someone ordered. It looked well made, but just too small for the price. Go there for the environment and a fantastic latte!

The Anchor is cute, affordable and everything you'd want a home town coffee shop to be. It runs with the theme of White Bear Lake while still having that country town feel. The aesthetic is truly a small boating town with its wood floors, decorations and chairs. I gave this place 3 stars bc it is my first visit. The barista was lovely, is still very new to being a barista; but gladly takes your order with a smile and helpful attitude. I didn't meet the owner or really anyone who's there, but that doesnt detract from good service. One other reason I detracted a star, tho not theory fault, is that they have terrible parking. In their defense, all of downtown as terrible parking. I would, however, completely go again and bring a friend.
