It's in a very.. interesting part of town. With the location, aesthetic, and menu, this cafe is definitely catered to millennials, avocado toast and all. Great for casual or business meetings. On a side note, their chai lattes are very good and reasonably priced. Would definitely go again!

Avocado toast was amazing! The coffee drinks are pretty, but nothing overly special. The kitchen closed down early, so I was only able to get avocado toast, but it was REALLY GOOD avocado toast. The crew was mopping and sweeping around us the entire time, so it felt as if we were being an inconvenience by being there, even though they didn't close for over an hour. It's got a ton of seating and it's so nice that there is a parking lot.

; Looove this place! Spacious. WiFi. Parking lot. Mini sauna. Food. Coffee. Pastries. Friendly service. Aesthetic AF. I mean... I have nothing bad to say. I would like to mention that one night, I did show up for a meeting. The boyfriend was suppose to meet me there right after, but ended up being late showing up 15 minutes before they were closing and the girls never rushed out of the place. Out of respect, we still left before closing, but that good feeling of not having to feel rushed my the employees because it's closing time. Thank you Parallel and your team! You guys never disappoint.

Food wasn't terrible but certainly not worth the rave reviews. Bacon and ham were admittedly great, while everything else was meh and forgettable. Coffee was no better than acidic diner coffee. We will happily never go back. Shame, because it's a beautiful space for working with free parking.

This is a great coffee shop! Parallel features a wide variety of specialty coffee, good food, and a gorgeous, clean atmosphere (and the baristas are friendly). In the Summer, it’s a great stop before or after the Minneapolis farmers market.

Very nice space. The only downside for me is that it is quite cold in late fall and winter---every time the front door is opened, the cold air will circulate across the entire space.

Boy at the counter was the least bit friendly and acted super annoyed when I asked him to put light ice in my cold brew. He never said thank you either. First time there and my last.. customer service matters! One good thing is the cold brew was good!

Parallel is an amazing crossover between a high quality cafe and a high quality work environment. I love that I can park (for free), enjoy a wholesome breakfast sandwich, sip on an americano while working, and finish the day with a pastry or a drink. They also collaborate with local artists - how cool!

Used to be OK. Now they want raised their already high prices to $6 for what they call a large latte..(12oz) $5.25 for an 8oz.. that only takes them 7 minutes to make if you are the only one in line. Prepare to wait 15+ if there is one person ahead of you for a mediocre coffee drink. But hey, they put a tulip design in your drink I suppose..

This coffee shop has a chill vibe to it, lots of parking space in their parking lot (free for customers), and the best part is that there's a power outlet next to 80% of their tables so it's great for studying if you are using a lab top.

Environment was good to work at but the food and staff was very stale. Had the sandwich which was expensive and not memorable and ordering / asking questions with the staff was like nails on a chalk board. I also ordered a Bells but was served a hopstar without notice. Would have been nice to been told they were out of Bells instead of just being served whatever they had on tap. Maybe it was just a bad day with the staff but it took away from the experience.

I do enjoy Parallel from time to time but until they offer skim and/or 2% milk with their espresso offerings, I'll be pegging them at 3 stars. Other than this shortfall, I've had only positive experiences and still visit there once and a while just for the roomy and bright atmosphere.

Very pretentious place. Almost all of the roasts served are from other states and the price was “market price”. Just set a price for a cup of black coffee if you’re serving out of a heated carafe anyway. If you know your farmers, roast in house, and use brew methods according to taste you can charge “market price”. If you want good coffee please google local roasters and go there instead.

Literally my favorite place in Minneapolis. The staff is consistently friendly and really helpful. The coffee is perfect and I love their tasty food. The open concept brings plenty of light into the space and makes it easy most days to find a spot you can work in all day long. The space is stunning, there is a free parking lot in the middle of Minneapolis and every person I introduce to Parallel always comes back!

The decor was lovely, and reminded me a lot of cafes in Vancouver. However, my hot chocolate was barely warm, giving it a chalky texture from the chocolate not fully dissolving, and the croque madame I ordered was the worst I've ever had. The brioche was overly sweet with what tasted like artificial vanilla, and the egg on top was cooked all the way through. I don't know if a savory-sweet croque madame might be a fun twist on a classic dish, because Parallel didn't pull it off well. I think I would have disliked the brioche with or without the other fixings. In addition to all of this the service was very meh. The person taking our order didn't acknowledge us for a painfully awkward amount of time while we stood at the counter looking over the menu.

Attended an art event at adjoining building this weekend. The Parellel Cafe was a hubbub of happy diners and coffee drinkers enjoying a warm atmosphere. Out the windows you could view a sauna and fire pit with surrounding colorful seating being used, while a snowstorm ensuing! Food was scrumptious and my hot chai tea delicious and served beautifully!

I want to love this place but the service has been terrible time and time again. The baristas/staff are not friendly or helpful. I walked in with leftovers in a (closed) to-go box, sat down to put my stuff down and within 90 seconds was approached by the staff and told I could not have outside food in the coffee shop - referring to my to-go container that I was bringing from lunch(it was 1pm and I had a backpack) - so disappointing because the space is beautiful and it could be an amazing spot. The location can be hard to find but there is free parking, which is optimal. Music was also super loud - I was forced to take my meeting outside.

Industrial feel in this spacious shop. Staff is pleasant, but seem a little unsure of themselves. Prices are high, but the food looks good. Coffee is okay, but nothing special. They are gracious hosts of a weekly group I go to.

Absolutely love this place! Awesome atmosphere and super friendly staff! Decided to have brunch here and it was so good! Honestly, the food was so pretty I didn't even want to eat it. I had the Egg Sandwich with Ham and mixed greens. I did have to Instagram my food before I ate it of course! The decor is so unique, simple, and modern. Love that they also have their own parking lot (that is such a rare find in Minneapolis). Will definitely be going back!

Congrats with the opening! Great venue in a sooner-than-later an upcoming area. The Good: Food/Coffee 1. Cubano. Great artisan bread, with wholesome ingredients. Big enough for two small meals, and nice trimmings of homemade pickled cucumbers and beets. 2. Tasty drip coffee Decor 1. Spacious 2. Lots of natural light as the front facing of the cafe is all window Improvements: Facilities 1. Cold water in the restrooms - especially unpleasant for those working on their computers...hands/fingers stay cold for a long time 2. The speaker on the east side of the cafe is at ear level in the corner...I'm sure you already have plans to mount this higher up on the wall, though... Cleanliness 1. The table I sat at, and the empty table next to me, had smear marks...and it doesn't seem to be too busy here for a quite wipe down. 2. The coffee cup I received, though I assume washed, was probably last used by someone where lip balm with faint residue remaining...

Great place to go for breakfast, lunch, happy hour and coffee. There are high and low chairs. A bomb ambiance. Nice swan in my cappuccino. Good music the whole time I was in there. It’s a big enough space where sound dissipates a bit. Bright place and airy that keeps the brain going. All the baristas seemed very nice and helpful and friendly. Good place to meet up with friends or hang out and work on things. Oh and also there is a parking lot. Which is always stellar. There is also cool looking coffee for sale.
