REVIEWS OF Mojo Coffee Gallery IN Minnesota

Shauna Valdez

My favorite coffee shop. Great coffee, food, atmosphere, and friendly staff. I stop in regularly to work on my computer. Their mellow music selection helps me stay focused on my work. They have a nice patio for use during spring/summer/fall. I highly recommend trying their delicious Mojo chili! Pictured: veggie omelet w/ rosemary potatoes

Kevin Rowell

Came here for a small musical performance on a date. The coffee shop is great. Plenty of room with large tables, fun decorating and the staff are all extremely nice. The musical came with dinner and the food was good, the show was fun and the staff extremely nice. Loved this place.

brian keller

My favorite coffee shop in the Twin Cities. a pottery shop/coffee shop. I can tell the owner (I think) really loves his place and treats customers well. Plus, the food is excellent. I've only had one drink, but it was good too.

Brad Daniels

The best REAL art hangout in Minneapolis/Saint Paul. the owner, Marko, is the consummate creative gadfly, always welcoming, and really cares about service. Food is really fresh and wonderful, coffee exceptional. With over 100 artist-created coffee mugs from around the US to purchase, LIVE potter's wheel and ceramics demos, a collection of photography, painting, sculpture and other arts on the walls, you are deep in artists' territory. Bravo Mojo!

Woodford Sisters

Mojo's is like our Cheers. Everyone knows our name, it's less transient than a Caribou or Starbucks, and as coffee snobs we can honestly tell you they brew the best coffee in Minneapolis. Also, THAT FRITTATA!

Alice Ferox

I enjoy the nitro and kombucha they have on tap. Great service.

Matthew Ystad

Best coffee spot in Northeast. Reasonable prices, good selection and the best people.

Lawrence Romanowicz

Breathtaking atmosphere, various of studio as well. Am returning back again!

Matt

When they first opened we loved going there. After a while the quality dropped with the staff being in poor moods and the coffee was consistently burnt tasting. However it seems something has changed lately, and the morale seems to have gotten better. Coffee is pretty standard and basic but the breakfast items are extremely delicious.

Tom Hofmeister

Wonderful atmosphere. Good food and coffee. It very artsy also.

Angelica Joy

Staff is excellent. Great opportunity to connect with artists

Dr Jones

Great little spot! We stopped here on a whim, coffee was 4/5. Staff was 5/5 great. Had a vanilla latte, espresso flavor was pretty decent. It's tough, because when you compare the coffee shops here in MN to someplace like Seattle, everything is 4/5 at best here. I liked the decor, there's a cool tree out front. The front deck/patio is awesomeness. The food looked great, but for someone like me that is avoiding fast carbs, and processed carbs, there wasn't much nourishment to choose from. Overall good experience.

Lindsey Hunter

Love the atmosphere, food is always delicious too.

Caitlin Duff

My favorite coffee shop in Northeast! Great atmosphere and coffee!

Brandon Jay Rockensock Sutton

The art they have on display is excellent.

S

So many things to love about this place, 5 stars is not enough. Solid coffee of course, surprisingly satisfying and affordable food / snack options, perfect music volume. When you factor in the service, guests, historic building, curated art, and blazing wi-fi you have what all others may strive to be.

The Locket Sisters

Mojo's is a breath of fresh air compared to the transient nature of so many other coffee shops. You hunker down here, get breakfast (we recommend the frittata), get another coffee, talk to someone, mind your own business, look at art, whatever. It feels like the TV show Cheers - the baristas even know our names (and we recommend the quad-shot Americano that Andrew makes). I'd give 'em another star if Google would let me ;)

Jolissa Skow

Such a cute place! I love that it's also a pottery studio, and you can purchase the pieces they have on display on their walls. I'm only taking one star off because I had a chicken wrap and the chicken was quite dry. Other than that, great little place to grab coffee!

Jeff Wright

Great place to get some work done! Atmosphere and prices are good. Prepared food is also excellent.

august johnston

Located in the California Building its a treasure of NE Minneapolis with excellent options for many budgets. Good ambiance and furniture, Wi-Fi and outlets, plenty of parking and some great art.

inspector inspector

I was there sat on the outside seating never seen a waiter or waitress for over 1 hour and 50 minutes sitting there with a friend. That was finishing his breakfast and he had to bust his own dishes. Would certainly not come back for lunch or dinner or coffee or anything

jean mishler

Great coffeehouse in a creative atrs studio building. Currently displaying custom hand made coffee mugs from around the U.S. Very cool!

Joshua S

Breakfast menu was surprisingly varied albeit not a lot of choices. Coffee was serviceable. Presence of many art pieces for sale was nice

Casey Thompson

Best post coffee BM in the cities.

Savannah Peters

Officially my favorite coffee shop in Minneapolis. Great low key vibe, great coffee, and I had a really solid piece of chocolate cake. 10/10 would recommend

Good coffee and hundreds of great studio pottery cups during their juried national cup show.

Great artsy space, loved studying here while in grad school. True Nordeast characters abound.

Nick Bauman

Increasingly an important cultural landmark of the arts community of Northeast Minneapolis. Come for the Americano. Stay for the exquisite pottery and portraits.

Ben Cross

Not nearly as big on the inside as the outside makes you think. It's a fun little spot, and great for doing a little studying, if there is seating available. Excellent breakfast sandwiches.

Jacob Caruson

Super chill coffee lounge. Great food and an inspiring art filled atmosphere!

Nysha Cornelius

Delish!

Perfect latte and great coffee. The food always looks delicious, I'll try it next time. Great environment, one guy shared some of his pistachios with me!

Jamel McLemore

Great coffee, great food and great price s

Jocelyn Hernandez

My favorite place to come study, catch up with friends, or just spend time at. The owner is so kind a humble. He remembers frequent customers which makes Mojo an even more comfortable place to be. The Chai is always excellent. The chili is so yummy and filling. Where else can you go where people are down to earth and a chai latte and chili is only 10 dollars??!!

Zach Busch

Your favorite neighborhood coffee shop. Being surrounded by art allows you to go deep, whether you're here for a long study session or a quick cuppa with a friend.

A quite getaway tucked into a corner. Good artwork and pottery and Great Coffee. Its so relaxed and calming that you can spend the whole day reading there.

Candice Elizabeth Nichols

Always a chill spot for coffee and good food. Love the front patio, so beautiful.

Julia S

On a Thursday afternoon, 2019, there was a man here. He had packed a snack for himself to enjoy with his coffee: uncooked sliced button mushrooms. Upon further observation, I watched him take a stack of napkins, shove them in his hoodie pocket, put his hood over his head, and scamper off the premises. The coffee is pretty good.

Lori VanBallegooyen

Thanks for allowing us to honor the memory of our friend/brother/son tonight in your fantastic coffee shop. Love the decor, the coffee, and the snacks. This place is very special and all our welcome!

C.A. Traen

Go Mojo or go home! Fantastic home away from home with excellent coffee, food, and absolutely top notch ceramics. My pleasure to finally make it this far north to take it all in

Jethro Oelrich

I absolutely love this coffee shop. It is located in a wonderful location in an old warehouse building with a great little deck out front that has some overhanging trees that provide some shade for the seating. The walls are filled with unique and delightful art and the owner is fantastic and super friendly! The coffee and food is also very solid.

hayley tompkins

Great spot. They have parking, good food, and it's a nice mellow place to have a one-to-one meeting or just work solo.

scott soule

I like homey places that make hand made food, and are staffed with real people. Mojo has all that going for it, plus a nice outdoor patio, and an oldtimey general store decor inside. A fabulous place to hang out with friends, and meet new folks.

Bridget Kersey

Quiet and funky place for breakfast. Give you just the right portion size too

Kelly Sadler

I have always loved this quaint location in its many iterations. I think Mojo is perhaps its best. Great atmosphere, good coffe (and cake), wonderful access to local arts.

Sam Carlin

A very charming little place, but it's a bit hard to find

Darya Yarmolenka

If I had enough money, I would go to this coffee shop EVERY day, maybe even twice or three times a day. Their espresso is amazing; food is absolutely delicious..and atmosphere with all the decore makes you want to stay there and simply enjoy the peace....

James Lynch

The coffe is spectacular, the art is awesome and interesting as heck, it's everything that you want in a cool local coffee shop

Benjamin Conlon

Really fun place. Can sit inside or out. Depending on the barista it can be quite a long wait for some simple drinks, but they are delicious. Baked goods for sale there are also fantastic.

Jamie Schaff

Super cute coffee shop with lovely patio. We each had a breakfast entree and they were pretty good, too.

Adam Hayes

Quiet neighborhood cafe with good food and selection and even better prices.

Kirk K

Best Coffee Shop in Northeast. Laid back vibe. Coffee is great. Prices equally as great. Owner is very generous. Must stop if you’re in the area.

Annemarie Metcalf

Great place, inside and out. The walls are lined with a neat collection of unique and detailed ceramics and other art, some for sale. The food is made fresh and atmosphere is great for continuing artistic ideas and projects.

Rico Raccoon

Comfortable environment. Quiet. Great coffee. Friendly staff.

Lara Christley

Great tacos. The set up and atmosphere are excellent. Wide variety of table size.

Praveen Avr

The best place I visited in united States for morning coffee. Fell in love with the environment around

Kelsey Jo

This place is really cool and chill. It’s a nice study spot, mostly quiet on weeknights with a nice front deck for when it’s nice outside. They display ceramics from local artists, and are located underneath artist studio lofts. I can certainly recommend their cappuccino and their teas.

Rachel

I love this place!! It's in the back of a neighborhood and it super natural! Has lots of different coffee choices and is vegan friendly. Highly recommend and would come here again.

Nichole R

I only come here when I'm either exhausted or my blood sugar is low and the employees are always super nice about my incredibly awkward demeanor. Someday I'll go in and act like a normal person, but until then I feel like I can be my most disheveled self here with minimal judgement. The Cuban Mix is good too.

Michael Bernhagen

Great coffee and snack options - plus awesome lunch specials. Patio is perfect for relaxing on a nice day. Never boisterous. Very friendly staff. Only wish (and this is for every business): when you run a one-at-a-time restroom, install one of those "green/ vacant and red/occupied" door locks. No one likes trying a door handle only to find it locked, meaning you just harassed someone doing their business.

Katie Forster

The older, tall gentleman was great in keeping my 3 yr old son happy! Very nice, warm, inviting atmosphere and good food!

Jean Marie Clifford

So many seats. Respectable outlet situation. Good food available, snacks to full lunch. Cute, shaded patio.

Amy Bruneau

Good coffee, great company, great service

Stephen Glover

Great staff and great atmosphere

Caila K

Delicious food and coffee! The owner is often present and the most gracious host, he makes you feel so welcome and is knowledgeable about the different artists who have art that can be purchased within the shop! Sometimes a ceramicist will throw on a potters wheel while patrons observe.

Kass B

Creative work/gathering place! One of my new favorites for sure. Delicious treats and coffee at reasonable prices. There's art, music, and pottery covering the walls. Free parking, beautiful huge patio, and spacious tables. All around fantastic.

Chris Perkins

Best coffee shop around

Jace Bresina

Food is pretty decent here, but the chocolate cake is what keeps me coming back. White chicken chili is good as well! Can be a decent wait during lunch time though.

Abdulmohsen Al Hashem

Mojo Coffee Gallery Better to close at five pm

Lewis Hotchkiss

Another experienced and reliable food and drink provider, along with all the art.

David Thomas-Jensen

I like this local Northeast Minneapolis coffee shop. It's in the old California warehouse building, which has been converted to 50 or more artist Studios amongst other things and this coffee shop. The coffee shop is more than a coffee shop it is also an art gallery primarily dedicated to Pottery but not specifically there are other things here as well. It definitely supports your local arts and as you will quickly notice with the photos, some of those local artists are Sublime, worthy of collections. There is a pottery wheel in the corner behind a glass wall where one of the Proprietors a master Potter has been known to work I have seen him do it. The walls are absolutely covered with art available for sale, very Bauhaus, as in most of the art is 1 off brilliant coffee cups and other tool type pieces. Coffee is both strong and reasonable in price there is a wide selection to offer as well as breakfast and lunch, it is not a late night coffee shop. This place closes with the sun setting. After which you'll have to go to any number of other places in the area coffee shops bars restaurants, you're in Northeast it's a paradise of social Gathering watering holes of various types.

Kristin C

My family and I stopped in on a whim and we loved this place! The coffee and hot chocolate was great but what we loved most is how nice the owner Marco was! He talked and joked with our kids and even gave us samples of thr brownies we sell! We will be back to try the lunch food as it looks amazing! The art and atmosphere is great! Outside area is nice and quiet!

Wade Bednarick

Had an excellent hot chocolate. Beautiful ceramics.

Imen B.

The breakfast omelet with jerk beef is a must!

Liam Mackin

Very chill vibes, cool interior. Friendly.

James Broom Schweitzer

Huge fan of Mojo! The owner, Marco, is one of the nicest guys around. There is a true community feel in the shop from local regulars to art along the walls made within the very same building. One drawback for me is the coffee quality; it’s by no means bad, but I’ve grown fond of some of the others cups of coffee in town. Then again, it’s hard to get the mojo atmosphere at any of the shops with said fancier coffees. I’ll continue my biweekly visits regardless of tastier cups of coffee elsewhere. The chili is very tasty and reasonably priced!

Sam Mayne

Cool space. Would've liked more time to look at all the local artists' work on the walls

Luke Riveness

Love it there! But sometimes they play ridiculous abstract music like someone slapping a piano randomly.

Leeann Langstrom

Jeremiah gave me an excellent visit due to my military ties

Eric Majerus

A decent place to study and have an espresso drink. The espresso isn't sour, which is nice, but I have had mixed quality with cappuccino on milk levels, from latte-disguised-as-cappucino to really great cappuccino. The atmosphere of the cafe is great and there's cool mugs along the wall for sale, if you can afford the prices.

Joe de la Cova

Nice big well done room, inviting vibe. Very interesting art for sale and as decor. Good food as well as coffee. Easy parking. Best place to buy a special artist made cup or mug. A little off the beaten path location, but worth the trip.

Sevron Kitsune

The atmosphere and ambiance of the shop is great! The special drinks are amazing!

Jacob Smith

Lovely place with good coffee, board games, and a full building of art studios that are open to visitors once a month. Great date spot

Lisa Veenstra

This is one of my favorite coffee shops to meet a friend to sit and chat, especially if it's warm enough for the patio. The coffee is great and the food is delicious. I'm not sure if it's still on the menu, but the Cuban was excellent.

P C

Not just artsy, but artistic coffee shop and more. This place has style and delicious food along with great coffee, various other drink choices, and excellent condiments to complement the meals. If you don't have time for a full plate, try the snack bars. Tasty and filling. Warm atmosphere inside and out on the patio. Feels like home. Not my home, a better one. Enjoy the art studios in the rest of the building while you're there for a full day of treating yourself.

Randy Bey

Beautiful Patio, good coffee and the huevos rancheros were yummy.

Dusty Hoskovec

I love Mojo! Great tasting coffee and food! We miss living so close!

Don Narr

Coffee breakfast and lunch stop for the dedicated Northeast Mpls arts community. Unusual ceramic display. The daily specials are really .... special!

D K

Great charming place

Chuck Anderson

Great atmosphere. It felt like I was in the middle of the Minneapolis art scene. It was cool. It is attached to artist work space and had some live art creation space in the shop. They serve the standard coffee shop coffee selection. Nothing exotic like pour over or nitro cold brew.

Anton Crane

Owner is super nice. Great selection and the patio is excuisite.

Rol Small

Good coffee and good food. Reasonably priced. Great atmosphere. Lots of pottery line the walls for sale.

Katy Boyer-Richards

Great coffee, great art, great people!

Archie Snow

Great coffee great service great art. Gay friendly environment.

Shawn McBurnie

Come for the coffee; stay for the food, the art, and the wifi; and maybe get a muffin or a piece of art when you go. Try the mote pillo if you get the chance!

Josh Lytton

This is my favorite coffee shop I've ever been to, not only is the coffee better then most places, the atmosphere is amazing with art everywhere you look and it's all for sale!

Ashley Beltrame

Met one of the friendliest baristas ever here. Good vibes and local art for sale. The presentation of the food is nothing pretty but it tastes delicious.

Amy Conger

The original artworks and cozy environs make this one of my favorite places to drink coffee and work on my computer.

Mindy Majerus

A fav coffee place when in the area!

Guy Wagner

Zachary Offner

Good coffee, lovely shop, and great artwork on display!

Jim Hansen

Great coffee shop with ambiance. Good is good as well. Outdoor seating is very fun, private, and visually interesting

Lucas Powell

Love this place, go here when I want to study and have a great latte. Artsy atmosphere, great painings and pottery everywhere. The food is surprisingly great too.

Jennifer Trujillo

Mojo has become my coffeehouse of choice, in spite of being twice as far away from my house as the closest competition. Sadly, the wonderful high-density berry muffins are no more, but there are several acceptable pastry choices, albeit plastic-wrapped (the bane of all pastry). They have a great apple pie and chocolate cake, too.

Liz Hixson

Good coffee, good food, good ceramic art and all around a generally relaxed feel.

Andrea Weber

The outdoor seating is lovely. I can't stop thinking about the savory oatmeal.. and I really enjoy being surrounded by all that pottery.

Randy Bjornebo

It was a great cup of mocha with an extra shot for good measure. I think the pricing was fair and the staff was friendly. If you are lucky enough to catch as nice of morning as I did, the front deck/front porch is great if you have the time to enjoy it.

Rosalie Olander

Neat Cafe. I went during the art a whirl and they had fantastic musicians and a great atmosphere.

Jacob Reilly

Great atmosphere, friendly service, dog friendly

Phillip Schmidt

They have amazing pots and a live studio experience while you drink good coffee and hang out with friends. This is a super cool spot!

T Michael Rock

Great spot for conversation and coffee
