Great new coffee shop in Northfield. Coffee is wonderful and atmosphere is bright and welcoming.

I LOVE Little Joy. This place takes customer care to a whole new level. From brewing the excellent tea for you behind the counter and saving your tea leaves to brew a second cup, to making foam designs in the lattes. Add to that they take the time to get to know your name and make you feel so welcome. They have a gem of a place here. The buildout of this historic building is fantastic. Exposed original brick, tin ceilings, original wood floor.. All infused with lots of sunlight. If you are looking for an excellent place to go this is it.

Best coffee in Minnesota! Favorite latte in the whole world! Always enjoy the atmosphere and the staff is so kind!

Glad Northfield has a coffee shop run by people who roast their own coffee and are knowledgeable about the products they sell/serve. Great environment and friendly staff in a unique location downtown Northfield. I highly recommended Little Joy

This is a fantastic little coffee shop run by the lovely folks at Groundwire roasters, selling the best of coffees that Northfield has to offer. (I'm not kidding!) Lots of great seating options, including of course the outdoor seating if you're into that kind of thing. The space has a really nice modern feel to it, and the baristas know their stuff. They also have some really nice coldbrew options.

The batch brewed blend was fruity and sweet, yet had some body. Excellent. I'm eager to come back and try the espresso. The room felt crisp and bright, yet warm and comfortable.

Little Joy is such an incredible addition to Division Street and to Northfield. My husband and I are pretty particular when it comes to coffee, tending to like bright, lighter coffee over dark/burnt, oily coffee that needs to be inundated with sweeteners; good, third-wave coffee can be hard to find, especially in smaller communities. We're more than happy to pay for locally roasted, quality beans and to support a business that in turn supports other excellent, local businesses. Both my drip coffee and Gibraltar were great, and I can't wait to try some of the fall recipes they have in store. The service both times I've been in has been top-shelf. The space itself is lovely - light-filled, clean, minimal, and welcoming (with a kickin' play list). Bonus: there's a back patio that overlooks the river. I noticed some folks commenting on the seating being uncomfortable; however, that was not our experience at all. We spent a peaceful Saturday afternoon in one of the well-crafted booths near the front for several hours and had no complaints. It was a perfect spot to see how welcomed every person was who walked through the door. Thanks, Little Joy team -- we'll be back!

The best latte I have ever had

Nice environment but food limited to sugar bomb pastries (not even muffins or scones) and latte was just so so. Had a cheese and ham croissant but they had no facility to warm it up so had to eat it cold. Blue Monday and Tandem bagel are better bets.

Love this place! Great lattes and delicious little treats to go with them!

They somehow made coffee edgy and it's fantastic!

This place is such a gem. Hard to say what I like best about this place. My husband and I were able to go on weekly dates during the summer and this was always our first stop. The drinks are amazing. The atmosphere and so chill and inclusive. And the people who work here are seriously so wonderful. If you want to geek out and ask obscure questions about coffee (like the evolution of Ethiopia's flavor profile) or want to unravel the menu a little more, these humans are the best. Oh and if you forget headphones, no biggie, because the music is always spot on.

Little Joy Coffee is the home to Groundwire Coffee Roasters. The roast is one of the best cups of coffee I have ever had. There was one place I enjoyed in Nisswa Minnesota that also roasted their own beans and the flavor is amazing. I also love a local coffee shop with great internet access and the internet speed at Little Joy is blazing fast. I work in technology and rely on fast internet to get things done. The space is very light and open so if you prefer a dark corner you may find that in other coffee shops in the area. Northfield is a college town so you will not find a lack of coffee shops to pick from. Little Joy is the only coffee shop in town that has a nice shaded deck on the back that overlooks the Cannon River and will get morning shade so if you are working on your laptop you can actually have a cup of coffee and see your screen while you are working. Anyway - check it out. I rated 5-stars because they are a premium coffee roaster and on top of the game with technology.

Really good medium roast espresso with unique fruity notes unlike a typical, darker Italian roast. Clean, comfortable, modern decor.

I was really excited to try this new place since it seemed so different from the normal "Northfield" coffee shops, but I was pretty disappointed. The espresso was displayed nicely, however I wasnt pleased by the taste. The seating was pretty but I dont think it was designed with comfort in mind, I couldn't see myself staying there for more than 20 minutes. There are about 10 other places to get coffee in Northfield, some of which have lower prices for better product. Bottom line is, if youre going to open up a coffee shop in a town with that competition you need to meet certain standards and im afraid, little joy hasnt.

I had a great experience with the kind servers and good atmosphere. My tea was great and it wasn’t too hot which is nice. Will definitely recommend to my friends.

They show evident care in making interesting and delicious coffee drinks, and providing unique coffee alternatives too. Lots of seating (plus standing options if that's your thing,) lots of outlets, and amazing attention to details from baristas. AND the best outdoor coffee spot in Northfield! Super welcoming, clean, bright place for all folx

One the BEST places for cold brew coffee!

Little Joy coffee bar is exactly what downtown Northfield needed! The menu includes a variety of handcrafted beverages made with Groundwire roasts and treats from local Brick Oven Bakery. The shop is flooded with natural lighting and offers a variety of seating options (booths, tables, counter). The interior design matches that of most other hip cafes in the cities. The service was friendly and quick.

**Highly Recommend** I went to Little Joy Coffee for the first time today, and LOVED my experience! The staff was incredibly friendly and personable and was highly knowledgeable! I ordered the matcha tea iced with oat milk. Best drink I ever had; will be returning soon
