Giving it a 5 just for the bacon. The steak was decent, and cooked perfectly. A perfectly cooked medium rare steak is really unusual at a breakfast joint, says I. Thick Cut bacon and eggs was really good, but the potato things weren't my favorite. My date had the country fried steak. I tried it and it's one of the best I've ever had. Their tri berry jam is really good. Tip: the dinner menu has a limited breakfast selection, but they will bring you the full breakfast menu upon request. Get some.

Met family there, for breakfast, after landing in MSP and service was very good. I had an omelette and it was good. I'm used to having more eggs but the flavor was still there and the "filling" inside the omelette was plentiful. Coffee was really hot too.

My initial reactions for this restaurant are good. We enjoyed a family dinner. Breakfast is served all day. The maple butter syrup is amazing. My son really liked the pancakes.The fresh made dressings are really awesome too. The children's portions are large. I tried the Philly cheese steak. It was good but it was missing something. My husband's burger was good yet not excellent. The atmosphere was clean and welcoming. The dessert menu is small. Overall we enjoyed our outing and dinner.

I had eggs Benedict and it was good, I opted to have it on an English muffin instead of the pancake that it comes on!? The side of potatoes were good too and refillable Iced Tea, with lemon. I was too busy visiting my High School friend and her husband to look over the menu . . So just ordered that! (I kinda like mine better at home!) Bc they cooked the muffin too long and it was very tough to cut. But Jensen's Café overall is almost always good. Jensen's is the perfect place for anyone. There's always something for the kids and the grown ups. My personal favorite is the French toast. It's a thick cut piece of bread soaked perfectly in a batter and fried. The syrup resembles a thinner carmel, and the coffee is wonderful

Great food, great service and definitely worth the wait for brunch. Had the stuffed french toast and it was creamy and filled well. The cheesy hashbrowns are worth the extra 99¢. Their skillets here are also great, I've had them previously. They make a great bloody with the right amount of garnish and right amount of spicy tomato to vodka flavor. Our waiter was very attentive to our needs and our coffee and water never were empty despite it being crazy busy. Definitely make the trip and shop around the cute shop next door while you wait!

Hands down the best breakfast place I've been to anywhere in southern Minnesota. Pancakes and french toast are so big even one can fill you up, and delicious. Cheesy hashbrowns are amazing, coffee is good. I think they make their own pancake syrup which is great too. Always really friendly service. The only down side is the parking, but there's a ramp nearby if you can't find a spot in their main lot.

There are better options in the area. My wife and I went to Jensen's for the first time for breakfast. We both ordered Biscuits and Gravy... which, if its on the menu, we usually order when we go out for Sunday breakfast. 2 eggs, Biscuits and Gravy with Cafe Potatoes was the meal. Both my wife and I were very disappointed in the meal... a real let down. First... evidentially they are rationing Gravy at Jensens... both of our meals came with a big cakey biscuit cut in half with literally a tablespoon of gravy on top, barely enough cover one half. I have never witnessed a restaurant try to get away with so pewny a serving of gravy with this ubiquitous dish... it was almost laughable. Its especially disappointing considering the price of the meal... I have paid much less for far more. After tasting the Biscuits and Gravy I would consider it average at best. It wasn't bad... but not great. We finish our meals... I found the Egg portion a bit small for 2 eggs scrambled, my wife's portion of 2 eggs scrambled was almost double what I received... but whatever. When the waitress returned to clear our plates and found 3/4th of a big bare cakey biscuit uneaten on both our plates she asked if we wanted more gravy... as the lack of main dish ingredient was pretty obvious... but by that time the thought of sub-par gravy on a cold biscuit was not appealing. They had their chance. On a positive note... the Cafe Potatoes were good, the service was very good and the coffee was good. But the meal was a real disappointment, especially for the price. It would be the equivalent of ordering a pasta dish and getting a plate of noodles with a tablespoon of sauce on top... or a pepperoni pizza with 1 pepperoni on it. With all the foodie options in the Burnsville area... Jensen's is off my list.

We arrived for a late morning breakfast. The 20 minute wait went quickly as we browsed the adjoining gift shop. We were seated, watered, and coffeed by the most friendly waitress. She guided our first-time visit through the menu and daily specials. Our meals arrived in a timely manner. Piping- hot and visually appealing. The flavors were delicious. The service extraordinary. The ambiance, warm, with great views of the neighborhood. This is a very popular and busy restuarant, but we never felt rushed. The cleanliness was also without question. Love Jensen’s! A favorite spot for my family and me to visit on Sundays. There’s usually a little bit of a wait during peek times but it’s fun to meander around Ficus and Figs nearby while you wait. Great breakfast food, the Huevos Rancheros are delicious and the caramel rolls are to die for. The only thing I’ve ever not cared for was the biscuits and gravy, otherwise you can’t go wrong.

The restaurant was really nice. The food was good. I didn't particularly care for my food, but that was more my fault for ordering something I didn't like. The berry jam was ridiculously good though. My friend got the buffalo chicken strips for an appetizer and and those were super good. If you're in the area, stop into this place, it's worth a visit. I will definitely be back. I will just get something that suits me better.

Staff is very nice and eager to please but are unaware of what is in the food. The Bloody Mary mix is not vegan. After some fuss free figuring out with the waitress I got the cafe potatoes and a side of mixed veggies (order without cheese) Like always, I suggest they place a vegan friendly option or two on the menu. There are more and more of us all the time!

Jensen's has been my go to brunch spot for several years! The wait can be long depending on the day and time of day but it is SO worth the wait!!! I've tried many of their different eggs Benedict, this last visit I tried their banana pancakes!!! So. Freaking. Good. And obviously so very fresh with the ripe banana slices you can see in the cake. Finished off with some eggs and sausage and I had to take most of the pancakes home because they are huge! Priced fairly, and the service was attentive.

Yesterday we had to wait almost 1:40 min when the hostess told my dad it was going to be only 40 min. We've been there before and usually service and food is good so we did not mind waiting 40 min but almost two hours was not worth it , I come ocasinally with coworkers friends and my boyfriend and yesterday when I decided to take my family we had the worst service ever !!! Our server which name is VERONICA was rude and did not give us the service we deserved , she served my boyfriend and I before and was also completely rude and with a sassy attitude, I don’t know if she is racist or if she doesn’t like Hispanic people but she had attitude with us and I still left her a good tip , that time I didn’t say anything but yesterday she was not even paying attention to our table , it was just a complete lack of service , we understand servers get busy sometimes but come on I saw her chatting with the table behind us standing like nothing and she wasn’t aware we were out of coffee, and my aunt asked for one and never was brought to her after almost 20 min , we had to ask another waitress for it and When I asked her if she could please give us some refills she had the nerved to say “ I didn’t know you were drinking the coffee so fast “ and I was about to say something to her but I kept calm and just sight, i mean how could she said that , she is supposed to be checking on us and ask how is everything you don’t say that to your costumers , we are proudly Mexican and come from a good family and we always live good tips because my dad is a restaurant manager at a high end restaurant, and I’ve been a waitress before , so we know , but I honestly think she is just racist and rude !! Her tip she was supposed to get was $20.00 dollars but after her service and attitude I only tip her a 10% even she didn’t it deserved it !!! All I can say is that thanks to this lady we are never coming back , when people treat us good we take care of our waitress but with people like Veronica we rather go somewhere else have a $ 65 .00 dollar meal for two and leave our waitress 20 bucks for good service . Jensen’s thanks for such a horrible lack of service .

Actually, felt like walking out at first. Extremely grumpy man was at the front seating guests. But glad we stayed because... PANCAKES! Homemade maple syrup. Amazing! We also ordered county fried steak and eggs, which very good as well. Eggs were a little under cooked, I ordered over medium. Its always s 50/50 to get eggs served over medium. Service was good, surprised at how pleasant our server was after experiencing the grump at the door. Glad his attitude wasn't contagious.

I just LOVE their French toast!! I can't get anything else, every time i try to order something different from their menu, my stomach and body in no uncertain terms remind me that i have no choice but to go ahead and order that delicious, incredible, delectable French toast along with that miraculous, divine, ridiculously awesome syrup - the syrup will absolutely blow your head off, it's so good!! Don't forget to get the French toast with that real good syrup!

We went here on a Sunday. They are only open until 3 on sundays so make note. I had the peaches n cream French toast combo with sausage and eggs. The mrs had a scramble. Both were delicious. She also had a body Mary which was ok but they also forgot to give her the beer back. They Male their own maple syrup which was good and jelly. There is a wait on Sunday but you can usually sit in the bar with out one. The service was ok but slower in the bar area. With tip it. Was 43 bucks...not bad a little over priced. There is free parking but not alot right next to the restaurant. We had to park kind of far away. We recommend this place for sure.

If you're planning on breakfast on the weekend plan on a wait of 45 min or more. Ordered the bloody Mary which was really good! My friend ordered the mimosa and she enjoyed it as well. Food was really good. 4 star is only because of the wait and it took a while for the waiter to come back to our table to check in (due to how busy it was).

My family loves Jensen's for their enormous cinnamon nut roll! Today's service was sub par as we needed to ask for refills, didn't get the cinnamon roll before our other food (as requested), and all the patio umbrellas were spinning in the breeze (the crank to tighten umbrella post was stripped). To be fair, the patio got quite busy after we arrived and one gentleman appeared to be serving all tables. Our experience won't stop us from returning!

Amazing! Expect a slight wait if going for breakfast or brunch, but it's totally worth it. Highly recommend the strawberry and cream pancakes and the regular mimosa (much tastier than the ultimate - they put ice in the ultimate one which makes it taste less like a traditional mimosa...plus it's served in a heavy mug. I prefer the champagne flutes, but you do you when you order!) The breakfast cereals (oatmeal) are only served until 11, so plan accordingly if that's what you plan on getting! Love the atmosphere, speedy service, and all the options. Jensen's never disappoints. If you're in the area looking for solid brunch food, look no further than Jensen's!!!

Very much enjoyed our meal there. They were able to accommodate our party of 10 on fairly short notice. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. Our waiter was friendly and quick. We were placed near the bar with live music which was a little too loud for easy conversation, otherwise we had a very enjoyable evening. I would definitely eat here again and recommend it. Really great spot for food, especially brunch. The new addition of the back bar is awesome. Been back there twice since the remodel and it's always so consistent. That syrup and Carmel roll are the ticket. Keep it up.

First I like Jensen's Cafe go all the time, the reason I gave a 1 star is for the service we received last week, first waitress was good food order and drinks right away. Never saw her again, had to go get own ketchup and new silverware ( dirty silverware) and go to bar myself for a refill . No one came around to see if we were good. Even when done no ticket after 15 min of finishing meal was just going to leave since no one cared, but did not have the heart. Went and talked to the Owner, could care less that that happened, shrugged his shoulders and had no time also. Good place but a no caring owner could be it's end if not careful.

Very good food. Does get busy on weekends. I have had the stuff French toast. The canjun scrabble. Pancakes and ricotta pancakes. All good. The dinner and lunch items are also very good. Very homemade tasting.

We had breakfast for dinner and the food was really good with fairly large portions. The price is a tad high but not unreasonable. Our server was very pleasant as was the other staff. We will be going back in the future. It's usually pretty busy so if you don't want a slight wait go s little off peak times.

The coffee was good. The syrup was good. Otherwise, it was somewhat disappointing. The eggs were okay but the thick-cut bacon was limp. Then came the lemon ricotta pancakes. Really disappointing. The ricotta should make the pancakes really moist. Nope. The pancakes were dry and over cooked to the point of almost have a thin crust on the top and bottom. The butter maple syrup saved the day. Should I have given two stars?
