REVIEWS OF IKEA IN Minnesota

Adam Doll

Another one of those stores that seems to have just about anything you could possibly need for your home. Sure none of it is the highest quality you've ever seen but if you are looking to furnish a home with decent looking furniture without breaking the bag this is certainly a good place to start.

Marisa Hutchinson

This was my son and I first time going into this store and I must say the employees working at this one was very helpful and friendly. The best part of our visit was eating at the cafe and the food was delicious and fresh. I encourage everyone to visit the cafe and try out the food.

cheri brown

Love to shop here to find all kinds of treasures. It was a little confusing to get help for the "as is" section but we got it figured out. Also, we were given a nice box of tools to use.

James Hall

IKEA is IKEA. The demo rooms are nice and you either like the furniture or not. The cashiers lines are a joke however. They have 25+ lines, but only have 4 or 5 staffed even on a Saturday.

Andrew Hou

Always fun to browse around and look at stuff, and everything is fantastic value. Definitely don't come and expect to be out anytime soon though!

Mary Fridley

I love getting things from here to organize my home! The stair display usually gets me every time! They are occasionally out of what I need, but this is a super busy location, so I get it. It's super kid friendly, which definitely comes in handy when bringing my toddler along.

Leah DeMers

I LOVE IKEA! The Swedish Meatballs are fantastic. If you go but don't go to the cafeteria, you're missing out! Prices are so inexpensive. Families could spend all day here. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful. The long lines to check out stink but what do you do.

Jeffrey D Johnson

Always something here i need. Well organized. The room layouts give you a lot of good ideas for planning/completing projects around the house.

Moe Graphy

Disappointed with the cleanliness and maintenance. Things were not tidy, unorganized and not well maintained as we have seen IKEA in different places. IKEA itself on this location was not clean and impressive. All three stars are for Food as it was good and cheap. Liked the Salmon fish. they don’t have regular fountain soda drinks but liked the service and the food portion.

Randal Schaffer

Love ikea. Always a friendly, helpful staff and so much cool stuff.

Matt Cavallo

Scott, a manager at the Minnesota IKEA, showed some serious stature by helping to roll a KARLBY kitchen countertop (which couldn’t fit into customer’s vehicle) all the way back around to the freight/outlet elevators, and followed it up by radio-ing an employee to send down said elevator (to setup home delivery for said countertop) as it was past closing hours and all elevators were exit-only. Like a sir!

Daniel DeFoster

I really love that the Twin Cities has this. It's convenient, has a huge selection of just about everything, has reasonable prices, good customer service policies and helpful employees. Be aware that if it is your first time here, you won't get to just step in, grab what you want and step out (unless you ordered online and just came to pick it up, of course) and you'll get stressed out if you try. You will get lost in here, and the space is deliberately designed to make you get lost and browse through everything. Budget the extra time for it and enjoy exploring.

Evelyn Britts

You need to explore the whole place before check out. There could be good deals hidden in the corner. Bought a very good table for only $25!

Emily C

It's very crowded on the weekends, but that's expected. The big issue is on the weekdays, they must hire slower people or something because even with an almost empty store and 5 lanes open, there were 50 people waiting in line and no one in the store! That means everyone was in line. Ikea should consider another location near here or have more people working during after work hours when people might drop by since they're open until 9.

Jen W

Really big store! Great layout, so it was easy to return to where we left off. love how every showcased room has the price tags on everything. pretty decent prices on some hanging racks, $10.

Paranormal Society

This is one crazy place. It is always crowded and they never seem to have enough space for the amount of people they get shopping here. The workers are not very helpful. The selection of products here are some of the best around. The restaurant is at a price you cannot beat

Jesse Anderson

Was cool, but getting in and out kind of sucked and the shopping carts are weird

Erik Stromberg

The help is slow and unorganized. Had to wait an hour for service in lines. Almost faster to just order online

thomas keefer

Pretty much went for the food which was very good. Reasonable prices and high quality. Two adults and one teenager had a would lunch for around $30. And of course Ikea has a multitude of furniture and home products. Well organized and lots of furniture.

Andrew Poole

I've always found the quality of IKEA products questionable. I decided to give it another shot today, and unfortunately the experience simply confirmed what I previously thought. I purchased a chair from the store and proceeded to drive 165 miles to my home. During the assembly of the chair, I was tightening a bolt and it literally snapped in half. I'm not even sure how that's possible. I attempted to contact customer service about a dozen times, and each time had an electronic message tell me the call volume is too high and the call automatically ended. People rave about this place, but I just don't get it.

Scott Dietrich

Normally this would be a higher rating, the 40 minute wait to pick up our order because of an employee error pulls this down. Will it stop us from going back? No, but it was a frustrating trip this time.

Linda Carpenter

I absolutely love Ikea! I can't go there without buying a bunch of things that I absolutely need.

A Riewer

Go for the furniture, leave with the ice cream scoop. You won't be disappointed.

Robert Alberti

It is what it is. The Swedish culture is fun. Wheeling huge carts thru crowds of families with screaming kids not so much.

Thad melson-jr

nice but not many people to help if you had a question

Sara Boklep

Love this place even if I don't buy anything. It's a fun afternoon if the weather isn't to your liking.

Kate Amell

I love Ikea, but if at all possible, don't go on the weekend. It's always bonkers on the weekends. Lots of slow moving people clogging aisles and walkways, lengthy checkout times. Weekdays are always better. Outside of this, it's a wonderful store! The Smaland for the kids is an awesome way to let your kids play and get your shopping done faster. Make sure to sign up for the Ikea family card beforehand though bc it gives your kids extra time in Smaland.

Penny Adriatico

IKEA is a great store. We go all the time and would recommend to everyone. I would suggest avoiding on weekends if possible because this place is packed!

Alan Haataja

Has a lot selection to choose from. Bought a center piece for my dinning table and it looks fantastic.

Kenny Hank

This is the worst shopping experience in my life, I bought something on June 30 and I have had 2 re-schedule to receive my order, I was trying to call to the customer service and they said there is a lot of calls and they can't attend mine, right now I really don't know when I should get what I paid for, but for sure I'll not forget all this nightmare in my futures purchases.

Donald Posterick

Neat store. Tons of stuff for home renovations

Iain Johnson

Nice layout, happy workers, great meatballs. Can't go wrong, except the prices seem a bit inflated. Otherwise it would be 5 stars

Rebecca Goldsberry

I love Ikea! The meatballs are delicious and worth the trip alone. Most of my house is from Ikea. It's affordable, and good quality furniture. And, if you carefully read the directions, it's not to hard to put together.

Sydney Luttschwager

Love love love this place. Everything is easy to find and the cafeteria is actually VERY good. I’ll come here just to have lunch, browse a little, then buy some Swedish meatballs and leave a happy lady.

Augustus Postiglione

I’ve emailed and called and haven’t been able to talk to a person about my missing online order. It’s been over 2 weeks since it says my package was fulfilled but no usps or ups package was delivered with my missing order.

jodie sellers

Fantastic ideas for your living space with a great place to eat when you get hungry.

Jen Soto

Went to IKEA solely for this bag to celebrate Pride. I called a week prior and talked to someone to see if the bag was available before June 1st. She took the time to research for me to ensure I had the correct date of when it would be available. Other than the time it took to find the bags (which were right at the top of the escalator!) I was in and out super quick!

Amy Erving

Try to go at off-times when it’s not too busy. Usually fairly warm inside so dress in layers if you get hot easily. Fun to walk around and see all the different ideas and gadgets that you never knew you needed or even existed. Hard to find good help on the floor. Slow cashiers but it’s a one of a kind store so bad comes with the good here.

Josh Montenegro

A lot to choose from. A whole lot to choose from. Good lordy. Saturday is a bit of a cluster, but you can make it through. Lines are long, but again. As to be expected. It never disappoints especially if you're looking for decent prices and a wide variety of goods.

Brooke Anderson

I love IKEA! I love the prices, the style, and the food! What I hate is waiting in line for 45 minutes to an hour just to checkout because they have 4 registers open on a busy Saturday afternoon. Other that that, we love our IKEA!

Tara Sullivan

I love IKEA so much. But I feel like I can never find a staff member when I need them, but the second I figure something out, they come swarming out from hidden areas. Still awesome place for affordable furniture and fun to go here on dates.

Charlotte Hamilton

What more can I say but, "I love shopping at IKEA!"

Jeremy Burnett

I walk the store show floor just to browse for fun. Radely make a visit where I don't meander. Not everyone is going for a leisurely look around so grab a map and follow signs if you need to get in and out through specific departments. Top floor is showrooms and bottom floor is sales and pickup. Have had good experiences with returning furniture for damages or not meeting needs.

Marshall Brandt

Cool furniture store with lots of ideas. Too bad they were out of stock on an item displayed and shipping was pretty high(about $80)when we checked online.

MNtwinsfan4ever

Love the store in general. BUT, their cafeteria is a joke. Was there in the morning around 10:30, wanted to buy a piece of chocolate cake for me and my 2 year old grand daughter. They refused to sell me a piece (that was already ready to go) because it was still "breakfast hours." I was told that I needed to wait 15 minutes or so. Couldn't believe that they turned away a sale. Because I left.

Michael Kollar

Great fun place to shop and food court is amazing.

MuaJPingxw Vue

My experience has been a up and down but I am giving three stars because of two people and the fact that I saved quite a bit of money on a marked down item. I want to thank Bob or Robert in Living Rooms for his patience and his diligence. I would also like to thank Jessica who works as a cashier for being understanding considering my entire situation dealing with incompetent staff. You two are five stars in my book, keep it up!!!

Zac Evans

It is was it is, a place to find ideas and argue with my wife. The place is clean and navigable, the lines for checkout make me rethink buying anything ... Is the wait worth it, I'm never sure.

Jess Birken

The Ikea experience is its own thing. I've been shopping here since this store opened over a decade ago and have done everything possible here, including a kitchen. Great design, great value, easy self service model, helpful staff (although never enough). Take advantage of using their website and app to pre-shop and verify if your critical items are in stock. I also love that these days you can order online and have things delivered without a store visit. Or you can do store pick up. The return system is great, although time consuming when they're under staffed. Overall I love this place!

Tom Riedmiller

Always a fun store to browse and get lost in. The cafeteria is fun and you can Chow down on their famous Swedish meatballs. Coffee and desserts are excellent!! I go to admire the sleek European design as well as huge kitchen department. Tons of high quality cooking gadgets. There is furniture, decor and lighting here. You can redecorate and furnish your home in one place. The locals call it Gay Church as you can see many gay couples there in Sunday.

Dan Hansen

Love going here to get anything you need for the house

Amy kay

Extremely unpleasant to shop at. Everyone is rude and ignores you. I always dread coming here. Worst than Walmart in terms of cashiers available. There is zero communication amongst staff, no one knows what's going on. It's like they hire anyone when zero knowledge of customer service support.

J Waterous

Several yellow clad associates helped me navigate the hallways and passages today. I saved thirty minutes since they were helpful to me. IKEA has LED bulbs from less than a dollar on up.

David Truong

IKEA was very neat and clean and the displays were beautiful. It's always nice to go there to just look around. The food there is delicious as well!

John Anderson

Clean, well organized showroom and warehouse with ample parking available. They have fully furnished display rooms that really help visualize and inspire. The cafe and restaurant have delicious food at a good price. I enjoy the small breakfast, cinnamon rolls, veggie dogs, cheese pizza and ligonberry drink. Checkout lines can be long but move at a steady pace. On this particular trip they were sold out of a dining room table and chairs set and 2 different large bowls that I was interested in.

Kim Shaver

The furniture is easy to put together, and holds up well.

C Tang

Always a great place to go for a super cheap meal, good reasonably priced home furnishings, and window shopping. I've furnished my entire man cave from here and a good portion of my living room and bedroom. Love the store, but get there early as they are really busy!

Ashley K

My first time at IKEA. First you can go through the showplace and see what you like. When you find something you like you can take a picture or take notes. They provide note cards, pencils, and measuring tape! Once you find what you like you go to the warehouse and find your item by the aisle number and bin listed under that item. It was so easy and fun to walk through. Will be going there again!

Barbara Ahnes

Great if you can help yourself via self service, but no so good if you need assistance. We ended up having to go with our second choice because they refused to help us obtain our first choice from a shelf but promising they could get it down at end of week.

Kenneth Muzny

One of my favorite store's to check out!

Nadia Haar

I always find excellent deals at this IKEA location! Just moved into our first house and I'm able to personalize it on our strict budget. I love this place!

Charlotte Downham

So many people said good things about this place. It was not at all what I expected. Food choices so-so at the food center.

Darrin Gee

There's always at least a 30 minute wait to checkout. Doesn't seem to matter when you come, expect 30-60 minutes in line. How is it still like this?

Adam Hale

A cool place to see a lot of reasonably priced furniture and decor that probably wouldn't have a great fit in my home. Still cool though!

Kaylene Kickhafer

Sales person in living room area was very helpful. There weren't enough check out lanes open for how busy it was. Waited 30 mins after check out to pick up purchase. Not allowed to pull products ourselves off racks.

Gao Lee

There was poor customer service all around, misinformation on items and no accommodations. I have never had issues with IKEA until today. I am very disappointed at the service I received. I hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else. Here’s my situation: There were only 2 lanes open with at least 10-12 people in line each waiting to check out. After 20 minutes of waiting in line the cashier lady, raising her voice at me, proceeded to tell me that she can’t check me out because the item has a tag and it’s only for show. She told me to go back and get one. I told her that all the ones I saw were tagged. She told me she would pull it up on her device and see if there were any in stock. Before she took out her device she told me step aside and began ringing up the customer behind me. While she finished ringing them up, she told me her device was dead. She then called for assistance and a younger lady came. The younger lady helped look it up and told me there were 4 in stock and she would go get it for me. However, she walked right over to the lane next to me and helped a different customer instead. This took 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, the cashier received a call from the young lady to inform me they had didn’t have any in stock. After she passed the message to me, with no apologies or anything she turned around and proceeded to check out other customers.

Zach Hanke

Everything was clean and everyone was nice...BUT...when you walk through the entire showcase / marketplace area and get to the self-service section, only to find all the key pieces of furniture you were ready to purchase were out of stock, it leaves a poor taste in your mouth. We were ready to spend over $1k, and ended up walking out without buying a thing. Was a really poor showing for the Bloomington location. Step yo restocking game up, fools!

n t

30 minutes in line. Lines backed up to row 28 (where furniture is stored), with only 5 registers open. Hasn't changed and now i remember why i stopped coming here a year ago even though i only live 4 miles away.

Michael Kipper

The go to place for great looking, affordable furniture that is both stylish and contemporary. No trip to Ikea is complete without a walk through the giant show room or sales area. Caution - late at night staff can be scarce.

Elizabeth Anderson

More organized than when they first opened. It's still a maze like setting but have lots of reasonably priced items!

Marie Zimmermann

Poor help in the warehouse, took forever for check out and didn't have many lanes open (4) then had to wait 20 minutes just for them to get us our faucet. Total time for warehouse-checkout-pickup item=1 hour

Cassie Kohn

Good place to wander through during the weekday. My 2 1/2 year old had a blast exploring all the kitchens and kids rooms.

Justin Vander Ziel

Ikea is built on the idea of good value: designed to last, inexpensive and stylish and they do this very well. My experience with Ikea furniture is that the order in which I have written these design goals is also the order of priority as well - subject to the readers' intepretation of 'stylish'. In contrast, competitors not always but often build furniture with inexpensive being the number one priority with the end result that you might be very satisfied with your purchase until you notice the paint peeling or other Italy visible defect within a year. The beauty of Ikea is that more often than not you know what you are getting when you buy a piece of furniture from Ikea; the "hidden" cost is the time will take for you to assemble but almost always you can invest confidently knowing the piece will last much longer that you ever anticipated

Abhishek Reddy Chamakura

Ikea is very well organized store with everything that you need at home including kitchen essential s, furniture, tables, sofas , furniture for outdoors , for interior decoration , plants , lighting essential s . All the products are well displayed to get a feel before you make decisions on purchasing anything. The quality on all the items that you find here is good and easy to handle. Everything is packaged so nicely and easy to take home and assemble. Even for a very big furniture they have well packaged and instructions to assemble without requiring any professional service or handy man. The pricing is very reasonable for the the quality of products you get. There are plenty of sale items and a throw away deals n pricing. They have good cafeteria at very very reasonable pricing. Free coffee for Ikea members which is a free membership The store has 2 entrances - north and south to make it easy for the customers to remember where you parked and entered.there is Plenty of parking spots. The store is so big , You could also just go to store to walk n grab something to eat. Ikea is very close to MOA (mall of America).

METAL BOI

Quick stop in here while shopping at Mall of America and found everything I needed!!

Jennifer Fisher

Poor service times, huge lines, any time of day or week, order and pick up is a mess still a HR wait. This place is a nightmare! Only way I have found around it is to pay for shipping to your location. Highly recommend- they put an express lane for none furniture item purchases. - And to have cashier's called up front before they see lines too the last row of the aisles. - better softwear for IKEA registers it takes forever for a teller to do their job (if they actually) worked with a tad bit speed

Denise Nolden

It's a great place to take your time and wander through the whole store. I have a good time looking at everything that they carry.

Karina Iommazzo

What can I say, I love losing my mind trying to find a bookshelf called Billy. I always get a good adventure in the store and good laughs. Favorite memory from my last visit was two kids walking out of the closets and saying "We are finally back from Narnia!" That is the content that only comes from IKEA.

Dan Wegner

Everything to make your home look fabulous!

PORSHIA HENRY

I’m sure it’s a great store and my experience was just bad. Literally gum stuck to the one piece I wanted to check out, which isn’t their fault. The way they treated me is. First they said I did it, then they made me feel dumb for telling them about it. Then the guy peeled it off and didn’t clean it. Gross

Paula Olson

I would like to thank Ikea for the single worst customer experience. We went to the Bloomington MN location last night to do an in store pick up for my cousin. Shipping would have been $199.00. Living in the Twin Cities area I offered to pick the item up for her. We got there but the item was not ready due to a 2 hour filling time. We went back to the pickup area and the gentleman that had helped earlier went to get the order. Two other associates helped us with paperwork and discovered that my cousin had not put our name as the people picking up. I called my cousin explained the situation and asked the associates, with her still on the phone, what we can do to fix this. We were told “to cancel the order and reorder stating my name as the pickup person.” OK I get that I don’t have issue with that. It took her 3 minutes to cx/reorder. The item she had ordered was put to the back and I could clearly see where it was. I went back up to the desk to THE same associate that told us to cancel/reorder and asked if we can can we get the item. “No you have to wait for a new pick.” What? “I can clearly see her order, its right there on the cart you knew what was going on because you just told us to do it.” She then told us “that is the canceled order and all canceled orders go back on the floor while the new order is processed” “So you’re telling me the order I know to be sitting right there I’m not allowed to have and we start all over with the 2 hours wait time from the moment she created a reorder.” The associate then said yes “that is store policy on a canceled order.” I asked her find out how long it will take to fill this order. She disappeared and we didn’t see her again. Another associate came out asked if we had been helped, I explained the situation and he went back to get a time frame. He came back out and said it was being worked on it right now and it should be ready soon. Mind you when this cx/reorder took place we never left the pickup area. Not ONCE did this associate give us ANY of this information about policy. No offer to come back tomorrow and pick it up. Nothing! My husband complained to the store manager. The ironic part is when the order came out it was the exact same one they were going to give us in the first place because I watched them do it. And they never asked to see my ID which IS store policy. They asked everyone else for ID she didn’t ask to see mine. Really? You were ready to make us wait for two hours for an order I knew to be ready because it was store policy but you’re not going to check my ID which is store policy. Now the topper to this all was the store manager came and spoke to me. My husband had gone out to move to truck for loading. He asked if we were the people from Canada. Mind you I’m wearing a shirt that has a picture of both Upper Michigan and Lower Michigan and white lettering saying Michigan is my HOME. And he asked if we are the people from Canada? I looked down at my shirt looked back at him a said “Sure it that’s what you want to call it.” No apology for the lack of information, just a very defensive man telling me this is store policy. Yes, a store policy NOT ONE person could offer to mention while it all took place. Yes I have 2 hours to wait for you to fill an order I already KNOW has been filled and can see. I understand the need to have a policy but clearly this was just a poorly written policy with no contingency plans in place. And secondly the way this whole situation was handled by your associates and store manager leave a whole lot of room for improvement. Clearly these policies should have been told to us at the time of the suggested cx/reorder process. We should have been given the option of have her cancel the order and go out to the floor and purchase the item. If I’d known what we were in for at the time she placed the 1st order I would have just bought the book shelves off the floor. Your policy is as bad as your poorly trained employees. I will NEVER endorse ordering anything from your stores.

Wendy Warren

Its a fun place to visit. But they need a few more associates working because they're so busy!

John Rushing

All IKEAs are awesome, but this one really stands out. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the model rooms and restaurant as well as very nice staff. Great parking structure and just across the street from the Mall of America.

Michael Schwarz

Best place to go to stress test relationship!

Bill Wilde

All the staff are nice except one. Heavy set old lady at the help area where you look for your furniture. She went out of her way to ignore us. When she did briefly talk she was very condescending. We felt it was because we were Minority"s .

Surya Abhishek

Nice place. Can have much more variety, given the fact that this is the only IKEA around a commendable area

Jon Cletcher

Evidently I'm the only person in the world who can put their stuff together, we love IKEA.

Aaron Moss

Not my favorite place, I just don't have the patience to walk and sort through aisles and bins, then wait forever at the checkout. The food at the restaurant at is good. It is so nice to eat with real plates silverware and glasses. The restaurant gets a five star rating for me

Alec Mollenhauer

IKEA is IKEA and the products in the store are of decent quality for a great price. The issue is that this store is quite unorganized in terms of how it flows. Some of the other stores have escalators for carts between floors rather than having to jam in an elevator. Checkout lines were also well over 30 minutes. Still a good store, but the lay out could use some work.

Heidi Elmquist

Love the product options and reasonable prices but cannot give five stars because I cannot wrap my head around the length of lines they allow to form at check-out. I’ve seen much more efficient processes at other major low-cost retailers where they send in a cashiers for a short bit to assist during times of unpredictably-long lines.

Tony Kelly

After spending a great deal of time navigating the labrynth of a show room, avoiding people walking the wrong way, you will feel your life force leave your body as you wait in checkout lines so long that cannot see the cash registers. Don't think that coming during an off-peak time will be better - they keep the staffing to an absolute minimum and therefore the lines to the maximum. It's as if they hate their customers.

Roy Lubkeman

I love IKEA. So many practical things. Their display esthetics are amazing.

Diane Jonathan Healy

Great deals! Super food! High quality!

Melissa Lim

I enjoy going to ikea. Everything is organized well and it’s a great place to find inspiration and new items you didn’t know you needed until you saw them in the store. I enjoy visiting both the store and the restaurant, I also appreciate the large parking spaces and the number of spaces. I’ve never had an issue with parking. The reason I only gave ikea 4 stars is because on several occasions I’ve gone to the store to find that the items I wanted to get were out of stock. Additionally, the lines for check out are always long, ikea needs to have more people working checkout and to find a more efficient way to check people out.

Andy Buck

Today was the 2nd time in the last 6 month's that I went to Ikea next to the MOA to shop and ended up abandoning my purchases after briefly waiting in an extremely long checkout line. This store is extremely poorly managed. They have over 20 checkout lanes but I don't think I've ever seen more than 4 being used simultaneously. They also have no self checkout registers. They do have express lanes but they were also all closed.

cj col

Absolutely horrible. The lines are 30 people deep tonight. Half hour to check out is entirely too long. Only 4 cashiers. People leaving cats abandoned with merchandise after seeing how long the lines were.

Matthew Tomlinson

Amazing location, great prices, and awesome customer service. This Ikea is minutes away from the Mall of America. You can't get any closer if you want to do some mall shopping after buying your furniture bargains! The lines can be quite long on weekends at this Ikea so be ready for a 10-20 minute check out on Saturdays and Sundays. Other than that, I have no complaints.

Heather Khraiss

Last 4 times I've been there (I only go about 1x a quarter btw, they only have about 3 open registers. The lines are just insanely long, like Target Black Friday Long. I decided today I probably won't be going back unless it's for something very needed.

Matthew F

Lines are always long no matter the day of the week. Last time I was in a week after labor day it seemed like everything was out of stock. I was looking for a storage cabinet for my wife and we finally found one we liked that didnt have an out of stock stick, but when we got to the place to pick up the cabinet the spot where the base should be was empty. The employee told me to come back in a few days and it should be back in stock. I'm not dealing with that zoo multiple times in a week. It would have been nice if they said they could have shipped a base to my home with no shipping charge. I ended up buying one on wayfair that my wife loves.

Teddy Salmen

This isn’t only the best place to buy furniture it’s the best place, come on, food court, Display bedrooms you could live in here for several days without leaving!

Micah Coyle

You'll always find deals here for almost anything you want. I end up there at least once a month and always find something to bring home, whether it's a closet set or smaller things. The food is also great as well, super cheap and great portions. Breakfast is my favorite, but the chicken tenders with fries always hit the spot.

Maria Castillon

It's a wonder, you always find something new and different!

Natalia Erling

I shop Ikea frequently and have never had anything like this happen to me. This afternoon I made my purchases and thought my bill was a little off. I didn't have time to review with the lady behind me jabbing her cart in my ankles. I get to my truck and review my receipt. Sure enough, I was charged 2x for a trash can. I went back in and there's a long line at customer service mainly because a woman is being adamant about getting a full cash refund on sheets that she used and washed. 2 managers later she gets what she wants even though that is not store policy. I get my turn and I explain my double charge and the cashier tells me that she needs to search my vehicle to make sure I'm not lying and that this is their company policy. At this point I'm late for a meeting and I let her search my truck against every fiber of my body. She then has to call a manager over to give me a refund. THIS IS THE CUSTOMER SERVICE DESK!! THAT'S ALL YOU DO!! I should have just let the money go. Somehow I can't help but think that this was a racist situation. One caucasian woman gets to return some used washed up sheets for a FULL refund and the hispanic woman gets her car searched even though she never left the grounds. There has to be some type of law against this.

Joy Higuchi

Who doesn't like Ikea? So many fun things to look at even if you aren't in the market for anything particular. The food is fun, too, both what you eat on site and what you can take home. I always buy at least one jar of cloudberry jam.

The Bloomington, MN IKEA located right next to the Mall of America is a nice place to go for a break from the mall. The store is huge and has a large cafeteria on the upper level that serves a nice variety of very affordable menu options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They also have a nice snack shop on the lower level near the checkout registers, and you can also find a lot of Swedish foods and snacks there as well. The store mainly sells reasonably affordable modular furniture that comes in flat-pack boxes for easy storage and transportation. They also sell home accessories, lighting and bathroom fixtures, and basically everything needed to renovate a room or rooms in your home. If you've never been to an IKEA, it's fun to just go in and walk around and look at all of the nice room setups that they show in their display areas, and it's also a nice place to stop and grab a quick and cheap bite to eat.

I always like the idea of IKEA and enjoy the food. I'm never happy about having to spend half an hour or so in line, though, which is almost always the case. I guess that's the price you pay for cheap goods - long waits to buy said goods.

Carla Henderson

Love the display rooms. Well organized and labeled.

Aly Mosa

I have to remind myself don't spend nothing..then I'm saying don't spend too much in the end I'm saying welp at least I got some pretty awesome stuff for some great prices!! I absolutely love IKEA!!

hannah brekke

The place is huge with great selections and friendly staff.

Christine Peterson

Enjoy the product line but the time for checkout or item pickup is ridiculous. Spent over an hour and a half to get order filled at pickup desk. Estimated time was 20 minutes. Never an apology for poor service. Then the order was mixed up! Have gotten so we hate going there.

Leslie H

Prices are good but you get what you pay for. There are hidden gems at IKEA for sure. But it’s always insanely busy and there are never enough cashiers to get through the lines in a reasonable time. I find the best deals on home decor, kitchenware, and bookshelves here.

Brock Allore

Although I've grown past my wood hybrid build it yourself phase I appreciate IKEA for what it is. A solid source of relatively affordable furniture. Assembly of said furniture on the other hand can be dangerous. my wife and I had our first legitimate angry at each other, I'm not talking to you fight well attempting to assemble one of the more complicated bed frames with storage underneath. Also points for some great meatballs!

Myra Kepp

Great Swedish meatball dinner plus some shopping.

Rob Houg

Always a fun place to take an outing to. Tons of ideas for shelving beds and gadgets. Succulents and aloe oh my. Not to mention the snacks and upper level cafe. Swedish meatballs, salmon and chicken balls. Even if you go there just to walk it's a nice time just for a stroll.

Keren K

Gigantic, well-organized, AND they have maps. This is the swedish meatball dish, it's very good

Haley Wiederhold

Great store with lots of displays and options to decorate the home and appliances to use in the home. Can get busy on Saturdays though. Also, definitely worth trying the Cafe!

Andrew B

Love the store. Has a lot to show and offer but a bit crampt feeling.

Lindsey Schreiner

What an experience. I have never been to an Ikea before and let me tell you it was a time and a half! Affordable prices for most things though some pieces of furniture seemed to be overpriced. Could probably spend an entire day here if you wanted to. They do have a full food court on the second floor as well as a mini bistro on the first floor. Gotta check it out!

Michael Heffron

Too big. Friendly people. Some customers were grouchy. Need mortorized carts for handicap.

Amanda Hennen

Classic Ikea offerings on a HUGE scale. Be sure to block out a good chunk of time. If you're planning to do Mall of America and Ikea in the same day, I'd advise against it. This location is massive, and there's lots to see. Wear comfy walking shoes, and be prepared to get inspired to decorate!

Venkataraman N

Huge voluminous store catering for all types of home furniture needs. Stocks items of various levels of pricing.Attraction has been modular home needs to set up / provide guidance for home planning. Almost all items can be self assembled. Packaging is extra ordinary.

Cheryl Martin

Besides finding 2 persons hidding in the shower display at 270sqft. I got what I needed for my Tiny House. I also learned something new from David in the Kitchen Dept., regarding building your own kitchen at home on IKEA's web page. I'll have to check it out. Below are the pictures of the product's I am interested in.

barb schloegel

IKEA always has something for me,from yummy summer salad with blackberries, walnuts&blue cheese to Klippen loveseats&Stockholm coffee tables. I came home with an owl lamp& other items. So today it's a trip to the thrift store to donate items that the IKEA stuff is replacing. Everybody wins!!

teri palmer

I enjoyed shopping with my son and have lunch

Danielle Cermak-Barrett

Shopping experience is good, but checkout lines are way too long

Jamie S.

Everything is great except the checkout. I've never been there and had to wait less than 20 mintues. 28 lanes and usually 3 are open.

Betty Cooper

It gets a little crazy on the weekendd, but it's a great place to find all sorts of things for your home.

Lisa Heidecker

Love this place!!! You can find so many neat gadgets and well made products here! It's a huge place & a lot of walking, well worth the time you spend here!!!!

Lonnie Letexier

Great place for expensive and inexpensive home goods. Only fault is they often run out of the popular items ie. Dressers and bed frames

Christine Kelling

I used to love running to this store, but I have come to dread it. Don't get me wrong, I still love their products, but customer service has become horrible at this location. I waited 30 minutes to return something the last two (and only times) I have returned anything here. There were two registers open, yet one said "Express" and people were walking up without taking a number. It wasn't clear this was the process and I would have felt terrible cutting ahead of others, so I waited as patiently as I could. Those around me were super frustrated and many even left due to the long wait. Their checkout lines are always extremely backed up, even when there is hardly anyone in the store. The problem is they have two or three lines open at slow times, so it still takes forever to check out. The workers are friendly, but the wait has become too ridiculous. There isn't anything I need there that badly to tolerate this any longer.

Suzanne Weaver

Never disappointed always way too much I want to bring home. Found an associate that was extremely helpful and made the trip even better. Only dissapointment was that they didn't have any dairy free deserts but they sure looked good even if I couldn't have them!

Dr hawiye Nacas nacas

More organized than when they first opened. It's still a maze like setting but have lots of reasonably priced items!

Xieng Eng Lee

I love the store and all the displays! The products are amazing! The only thing I did not have a good experience with was the food in the cafeteria. I asked for a side of fries and the man wouldn't give it to me. I was not rude or anything, I asked nicely after he gave me my plate of food. He said no, so I thought he misheard me. I repeated myself again and asked for a side of fries and shook his head no and verbally told me no again, then walked away. I was upset so I told my friend who then went back and asked for a side of fries for me and he got it! What the heck was that?! I thought I would have liked the food more too, but I didn't. I got the salmon combo. I didn't feel the food there was to my satisfaction or maybe it could have been that I lost my appetite due to the bad service there.

Traveling Celiac

Fun place to check out. Have a great selection of furniture for reasonable prices. Their food is very tasty as well. Make sure to have their meat balls (they are the best!!!)

Paula Beckman

I love this place! Glad it's 3 hours away from me or I would be completely broke. Had lunch, bought a few small things for the house, and then bought a lot of chocolate and cookies! Took pics of larger items I'm interested in and will figure out which ones I want. More shopping!

Jessica Hunt

Super cool place. I've never been to one so I didnt know what to expect. No one really told us what to do or go. We ended up going through the whole thing and the one thing we found was out of stock for an unknown amount of time. A ton of people.

Veronica Marchan

Awesome place to shop for inexpensive creative stuff for your home. I got carried away and bought everything!

Jacob Lish

They ran out of meatballs (thankfully, only one person in my group had to get salmon balls, otherwise it was a 4 minute wait) and were out of some throw pillows I wanted, but when we had a pricing discrepancy it got fixed right away. Overall it was fun to go, as always, and I'd go again when I need other things for my home.

JoAnn Kern

Found what we needed quickly and still managed to buy some nice extras!

Julie Gilbertson

40 min waiting in line with 1 item to purchase. Which could've been prevented the prior day, if the in store display would've mentioned this teeny pc of hardware (sold separately)was essential in the assembly of these shelves! I used to like wandering IKEA, get ideas, and subsequently spending money. Not so much now.

Ishrat Kamal-Ahmed

Used to love this place many years ago! Now things are in the wrong shelves so no way to locate them. Advertised merchandise was not available but they put all higher price boxes by it so customers picked up the wrong higher priced stuff instead. Meetball price is 8.99$ now. The checkout workers are stressed out and are rude to customers. Still good for some classic stuff like Billy bookcase etc.

Keith Arntson

I really like Ikea. I've been getting their furniture for about 15 years. This particular location really needs to staff more people on Saturdays, though. My last 2 trips have taken about 45 minutes to get through the check-out line. Not sure if I'll be doing this again.

Brianna Lyn

I love this place! It's really fun to walk through and look at all the different room set ups. And if you're on a mission there's a way to just cut through the whole place to get to where you need to go. There's also food options here, but I haven't tried any of the food as of right now.

Dinae Greer

So fun to walk through. Lunch is very reasonable.

Ashlyn Ekholm

My favorite thing to do is sit on the displays of the living rooms and watch through the fake windows and watch the sun set behind my favorite city. It calms me in a way that I've never felt before. Highly recommend for ikea dates

Aura Ravenwolf

Great service! It was my first time at an Ikea and they were super helpful. I bought a bed frame. Will post an edit once assembled

Dee Green

I don't get over here near as much as I would like, and I always forget my blue bag!!! Bought more than I thought I would. Extremely busy with back to school shoppers. I will plan better next time!!!

Connor Boyer

I loved the direction of the arrows and all of the openness. I liked the design of it and it was enjoyable. Good layout of everything also

bethany erfourth

Good store and showcase area, with lots of parking. But the lines to checkout are ALWAYS ridiculous. That takes as long as it does to find your stuff, and to add insult to injury, most of their checkout lanes are just closed. I do like their plants too though

Julie Rinehart

Always fun to explore non traditional was to decorate and get I inspired. Be aware that the MDF will not survive in humidity. Restaurant is a bargain and great food. Go early, get good parking, eat and shop. Measure everything at your home before you go.

Angie Chelberg

We will visit here about once a year only because it is so far away from us. Love the selection and variety. The employees are happy to answer questions but never bug you. The accessories is what makes a room complete and the options here are endless.

Nigel

What can I say ...it's IKEA. Summer time plus back to college/school makes this time there a bit busy. None the less, you get inspired, you get ideas and it's fun for the whole family.

Brian Schreifels

I love their food and the wide variety of products they have.

Youa Holmes

Under staffed. We came to purchase a bed frame, once we were done with the show room. We went straight to the aisle to pick the piece's of furniture we needed. They were all out on the bottom shelf. They had more on the next two top shelf. We were told that they couldn't drive a forklift during business and they couldn't do anything about it. We just lofted everything and walked away. Very disappointing...

Andrew W.

I love IKEA and appreciate what they offer. Unfortunately, this trip soured me a little due to the terribly long wait to check out. They have 15 checkout lanes and 3 were open. The one I chose had computer issues so it took 30 minutes to checkout. Unacceptable. I'll probably be back but will definitely give me local furniture store more consideration next time.

Kristy Corey

We love IKEA! So much for so little... plants, picture frames, candy, silverware, and so much (just in this trip.) And the blue bags are perfect for tons of things.

Chris Benner

I used to dread this place. So bug and confusing. Such a forced maze of shopping. But have found that you can really get through fast once you learn the layout. Prices are fantastic for some things. Quality is there for some items, not on others. Price not always reflective of quality. Food court is a plus. Free coffee is great. Limited selection, but prices are reasonable and selection rotates periodically. Don't complain about assembling furniture. That is why it is a value price point.

Rebecca Miniscalco

Plan ahead. If you know what you need to can skip the showroom and go right to the self service area, or at least go quicker through the showroom if you need products there. Ikea always seems to have what I need. I have always had excellent experiences with their customer service both online and in the store.
