REVIEWS OF Groundswell IN Minnesota

Tania Richter

Great ambience, delicious food and drinks. What's not to love?

Alex Morford

Fun coffee shop that also has food and beer. Great meeting place for any time of day.

Shauna Valdez

Delicious beverages and baked goods. Would be 5 stars if it was more affordable. The atmosphere is nice, and I really enjoyed the delicious rosemary chocolate chip cookie - my first time trying that unique flavor combination, but not the last! I also appreciate that they offer cocktails and beer in a coffee shop setting. I had a tasty grapefruit mimosa with my cookie. Nice place overall, but a bit overpriced.

Hnou Vang

Cute cafe with lots of charm. Good selection of coffee and tea. Love their Earl Grey waffle.

Archer Griffin

Definitely one of the best coffee shops in the twin cities. Great coffee, sweets and a delicious assortment of original dishes and soups. Try the bacon-veggie burger for a real treat!

Dale Walker

I love this place. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Great place for an afternoon beer at only $3.25 a pint during happy hour. Otherwise expensive. My friend and I ordered a small coffee, an ice tea, a scone and a muffin. With a fifteen percent tip, almost $18 dollars. Regardless it's a gem.

Scott Weispfennig

A bit pricey for the neighborhood but good food. We stop in once in a while. Would go more if it was more reasonably priced.

Fig Johnston

Very cool design of space and cool gift items from local artists on display! I was here for breakfast and wish there were more savory vegan items. The banana bread French toast was good but basically a dessert!

Ryan Bauling

Went here for brunch and had a great experience. This is a nice shop and was quite busy when we were there. I'd recommend checking it out and see for yourself.

Nat W

Cute little place.

Johann Enquist

Solid, good coffee and tasty breakfast.

Lindsay Strand

I love coming here to get work done. They always have a cozy spot open. I usually get tea and a bakery item. I haven't had anything I didn't like.

Kristine Rhodes

Baked goods, teas and lattes are great. Their coffee is too bitter for my liking.

Michele Fish

Great place to go for meeting up to visit & chat!

Joel Abrahamson

Love the coffee, love the cookies, love the meal options! They always have such interesting art on the walls. All the food and drinks are very thoughtfully sourced and selected.

Louisa L. Sauro

This is a sweet spot for either a casual cup of coffee and a snack or a delicious lunch/meal. It has different sections to sit in, so it's easy to find a quiet place to study. Also easy to get to via bike or bus, and lots of street parking. The staff are always polite and friendly. Been here several times for meetings, hang-outs, and grab-and-go-treat situations.

Yuko Ekyalongo

Great place to study or meet up with friends. Good wifi and lots of outlets. Their drinks are ok, but overpriced. You are paying for the space and cozy atmosphere they offer!

Carlton Schaps

Nice space. Seems a bit bigger than ginkgo. Many menu items - including desserts - can be done gluten free which is great. The chai tea was great.

Natalie Wiersma

Great local coffee shop. Cool interiors. Great for studying and chatting

mya betts

My favorite coffee shop in town! Try the Montana gold hot tea!

Max Johnson

Very cute little cafe! The drinks are amazing and the baked goods are to die for. They offer amazing gluten free, dairy free, vegan and vegetarian options as well. And I love that they showcase and sell local artist's works!

C JC

Best pancakes ever!

Alexandra Harley

It's a very nice atmosphere, quiet on a Monday morning. They have just enough breakfast options to satisfy any palette, and the staff were warm and friendly. I was able to enjoy an omelette and escape into my thoughts during my time here.

Peter Larson

Good coffee, and they have an actual kitchen, so you can get real food. Most coffee shops don't do that. They also have beer and wine.

Chris Blackburn

Great coffeeand treats!!

Sacia Marquardt

Groundswell is clean and has nice decor. The coffee and tea are very yummy. I’m moving to the neighborhood and I can’t imagine not making this place a staple. They offer all the things you’d expect and some things you wouldn’t. They have a little ‘shop inside the shop’ that sells art and handmade items from local artists and makers.

Karla FB

We came here on a weekend morning and we had no trouble finding seating and getting our food. But by the time we left (around noon) there seemed to be a significant wait. HIGHLY recommend the earl grey waffle!

Jake Troxell

This cafe/ coffee shop feels like it has a vision of where it would like to go. It seems like a collective is where they are looking to head and that is really neat. Seems in it's infancy still so give them some time and they LL get there I'm sure. As far as it goes now it's decent, there are three sections to the store for seating and in any of them you can order a bit to eat or grab some coffee.

Jo Oh

Good coffee, good food. Very slow service, and 3/3 times I have visited, something has been missing from my order. They are very good about correcting it, but I wish it didn't happen each time I come.

Dan Beaubien

The coffee is great. The baked goods are in a class of their own. My only gripe is that the chairs are extremely uncomfortable.

David Linstad

I love this place. The employees are great, the food is so good. The only thing that prevents 5 Stars is caramel sauce. If they had it for their cofees, I would rate it 5 Stars.

Paige Carter

Great neighborhood gem! They have a full menu all day and serve Dogwood coffee as well as beer and wine. It can be quite busy during the breakfast/brunch hours especially on the weekends but I have rarely had to even wait for a table. One of my favorite places in town

Nicola Xavier Koh

Good drinks and lots of natural light for studying etc. Excellent cupcakes (salted caramel is my fav) and baked goods (bacon gruyere scone). Good brunch food too, but gets busy on weekends so get in early

Luke C

Unique food, quite packed at breakfast times. Portions are slightly small. Overall an enjoyable experience.

Ashley Gruhlke

Delicious coffee, muffins, and breakfast. A great place to meet a friend and chat.

Megan Olson

Fantastic food and aesthetic. Great service as well! Thank you for making my saturday morning taste and beautiful.

Jamie Santos

This is a very cute small business. It has a small patio outside and plenty of space inside. The menu has food and plenty of things to drink. There are also small things to buy.

Rebecca Fishbune Knutson

Great local coffee

Elton Mykerezi

Great Midway Neighborhood Landmark! Everything is enjoyable there, coffee, food, atmosphere! I'm a frequent visitor, and will keep going back!

Andreanna Mond

The Earl Grey waffles are scrumptious.

Christine Wade

Groundswell is one of my favorite coffee shops out in St. Paul, both for their delicious drinks and their wide variety of unique treats. The wait can be pretty long when they’re busy, so just make sure you’ve budgeted enough time for getting your drink or ordering food.

Ruth Gebremedhin

Groundswell is just the best. Local art, well-priced coffee, BOMB BANANA BREAD, amazing sriracha horseradish aioli.. ALL in Saint Paul!

Sarah Alhidan

Ilike it ❤️

Tyler Winter

Excellent coffee and baked goods. Nice space as well.

힣흐흐

i ordrted meil latee and it is DIFFRENT from last time. (its 2year ago). meil was my favorite but i would not come here again. there is no more lattee art and taste is slightly different. i ordered hot lattee but it is just warm and not hot. cupcake is TOO sweet. i feel little disappointed. sunday 5pm

Kambiz Motamedi

Nice coffee. Very clean and good service. I had a cortado and americano. Both were nicely made.

Colin Perucco

Great atmosphere and excellent drinks and snacks. It's nice to have a coffee shop with delicious coffee and to have the option to enjoy wine or beer when the coffee won't cut it!

Chris Shiver

Great place for coffee, haven't tried much of their menu since im usually on a mission for coffee.

Brianne Kueny

I have been coming here for years never quite got food before, pastries being the exception. Food was wonderful. Why was my food served on a badly chipped a cracked plate? Probably because it was not purchased for it's durability but for the aesthetic. I will probably be back and hope for better quality dishes.

Thomas Breen

Neat and genuine coffee spot to have a chat

Dana M.

This is quite a big place. It's clearly very popular as it was humming with activity on a weekday around 11am. The caramel latte we had was very delicious - with the perfect amount of sweetness, and we tried a rosemary chocolate chip cookie that, despite my skepticism, turned out to be fabulous! Lots of lovely, locally crafted items for sale here as well, including some beautiful prints and jewelery. If you're from out of town and want a MN souvenir you might find something unique here!

Jillian Steinke

Breakfast sandwich was delicious. The vanilla latte was perfect as was the lavender iced tea latte. Nice cozy spot. Can get a little busy, but it's easy to understand why.

Jessica Lagoo

Milk delivered in glass, BPI certified compostable cups and lids, local handmade soaps and jewelry, a beautiful space to sit and work or just stop in over lunch. Simply amazing! Oh, and the coffee is great!

TJ Abatelli

This coffee place is on the corner of Hamline just south of Minnehaha Ave. They have excellent coffee, a good selection of baked goods, breakfast and lunch options. The people who helped us were friendly and helpful. They also have gift cards. For clean up they have composting and recycling. We tried the brewed coffee, hot chocolate, and an espresso coffee. We also had a chocolate cherry scone (delicious) and a breakfast sandwich (also delicious).

Shannon Grace

Good coffee, food was decent, presentation was great... A little overpriced in my opinion, and has that hipster vibe, but overall, it was a nice visit.

K C

Probably my favorite coffee shop of all time. The baristas are always friendly and cheerful. I'm violently allergic to corn, and while I realized that the cups for cold drinks were made of corn, one of the baristas was informed enough to be able to tell me that even their hot to go cups are also lined with corn. I never knew that, and I had been getting a little bit sick from cups for years. The coffee shop has a great ambience overall. They feature tons of sustainable local art. Their menu is thoughtful. Every pastry I've tried there has been incredible in terms of both flavor and texture, though I do admit I wish they could switch out the gluten free root beer cupcakes for a cupcake flavor that was less polarizing than root beer. I'm not supposed to eat gluten, and their regular pastries are good enough that it's worth getting a little sick, but I am disappointed every time and see those root beer cupcakes are there instead of something new, because root beer is gross. Lastly, in my reviews I always try to include some information for people with sensory challenges. All coffee shops are loud, but this one is maybe a little louder than some. There are no soft surfaces anywhere whatsoever to absorb any of the sounds, but fortunately, the ceilings are pretty high, so that helps some. I always wear 35db of sound protection when I come in.

Gary Pederson

Casual neighborhood feel, friendly staff and good food & coffee. There is quite a bit of outdoor seating as well.

Chase Nelson

I liked all the vegetarian and vegan options available. It's hard to find that around Saint Paul, especially for breakfast. I got the omelette and pumpkin pancakes, both were great. My friend got the breakfast sandwich, which he also enjoyed.

Jerad Compton

Coffee is good even though its quite overpriced for the amount you get ( incredibly small amount of coffee for 3 - 6 $ ), feels like a nice place to relax and study or get some work done. Service was also pretty good.

ProtUnbnd

Great atmosphere, food and drinks

Mindy Mattsen-Vang

Great local coffee shop with non-dairy milks for your drink blends. Fun local artwork, jewelry, and mugs are sold here too!

Anderson Vieira

Just amazing! Awesome food for breakfast and brunch lovers... in a beautiful presentation. Combined with a cozy deco... nice for full meal or just enjoy a coffee with cookie. BTW, MN cookie jumped on top of my favorite cookies list!

Brad Dimond

The coffee drinks are first rate. Baked goods were very good, the Bacon Gruyere Scone was outstanding. The flatbread with two fried eggs was huge and delicious. We will be going back.

Katerina Wong

There are plenty of tables and places to sit, but somehow the place is so popular it fills up quickly. The food is amazing and the pastries are excellent, but they run out pretty fast. The wifi is good, and there are plenty of outlets near each table. The windows get a bit cold - so be sure to grab a jacket if you get stuck near one.

Bill Connell

Delicious food, great vegetarian options, as long as you aren’t in a hurry. I’ve eaten at Groundswell twice since their recent remodeling and the expanded menu is all good. I’m really happy with the expanded vegetarian dishes (though we’d love a veggie breakfast meat alternative) and as always, their bakery goods are unbeatable. My only real knock on them is the speed of the kitchen. On both recent visits (2 diners, standard menu items), the food took over 40 minutes, and at times when they were not very busy. The food is always delicious, but holy cow it’s slow, even by scratch cooking standards.

Barret Gosen

Ornate, decadent, immaculate.

Ethan Bloomfield

A nice little coffee shop and lunch counter. If youre looking for a place with a bunch of sugar syrups this isnt the place. My favorite part was the scone(biscuit). Think they serve boars head meats so that part will also be good. Its a nice shop with people who have pride in what they do. a great place to walk to in the cold and slow down and mjoy a cup of coffee and a piece of bread heaven

Chris Freeman

A very nice coffee shop and Cafe in a comfortable old building space. Very well worth a visit when you are in the area.

Shannon Fahey

Very nice you need coffee shop with a great Leonard so watching it's

Lori McLaren

Great coffee and baked goods.

lynn forrest

Coffee shop cafe, very casual.Good though not inexpensive breakfast. It has easy to find parking. 2 eggs, hashbrowns and sausage ran about 9 bucks. They offer a number of gluten free choices, which includes nice large muffins.

Scarlett

Coffee is good. I come here for my favorite latte w/ oat milk! Sweet beets salad is delicious. Service is OK.

Chaunce Stanton

Great neighborhood cafe with a restaurant. I like to hole-up here every once in a while to work, but even better, I like to bring people here so we can chat.

Trinny Cee

Great spot to grab a yummy cup of Joe

Beria Joseph

I highly recommend the chai cinnamon roll and the banana bread. Delicious!!

Windy Torgerud

Love this place! Local good food. Comfortable atmosphere. Great coffee. Couldn't ask for anything more in a coffeeshop.

Gavin Quella

Prime crafted drinks and food. Good service.

Kenny Young

I hadn’t been here before but it’s just a mile from my place so I thought I’d check out a local spot rather than go to a chain equal distance away. Great environment to hang, connect, and soak up the sun with their large windows. I brought in my 1 year old and was surprised to see they had high chairs so that was cool. Giving 3 stars because the gentleman barista was a bit rude and unhelpful when inquiring about the different baked items. The other female barista was very friendly.

Tracy Mendoza

Ordered honey miel and a bacon scone. Yes a bacon scone. Both were wonderful.

Eric Hoard

Best biscuits and gravy around!!

Karl Besser

The bacon gruyere cheese scone was so good! I had an iced Americano which was also very good. Love the atmosphere, will be back in the future!

Nneka

They have terrible service, there is rarely anyone to answer the phone so one cannot place a to go order essentially ever at this establishment and there is frequently a longer than stated wait for food since there is only one person cooking in the kitchen. Their customer service is extremely poor.

Hong Shui

It’s a relaxing place to do your reading and work! I enjoy the time there

Doug Dill

It's OK. The coffee is good. The treats are tasty, on the expensive side.

Shane Cameron

Groundswell does it all! It is among the better places in the twin cities for coffee and espresso. They serve wine and they have a few excellent beers on tap. It's also a great place for dessert. The food is really good and they don't just serve breakfast. If you're looking for something really unique, try the earl grey waffle! There are a lot of nooks and a variety of table sizes, so it's both a good place for groups and to enjoy your coffee over a book.

J R

Great food. Right price. Good atmosphere

Rodger Smith

Lively place with good coffee and tea.

Bridget Carey

I absolutely adore this place! Not only do they have fantastic beverages (including beer) and food, but every time I have been there the staff is fun, friendly, and a joy to be around. Highest marks for this place!

Travis Haage

Great coffee, slow service. I've always loved this coffee shop, but I have been patiently hoping the morning wait times would get better over the last couple years. There seems to be frequent turnover of staff and during the morning rush a line of 4 people is typically a 3-5 minute wait, or more! I walked out this morning after waiting more than 2 minutes for 1.5 people to order. I just want a cup of coffee (already brewed) and a pastry as I'm on my way out for a morning meeting. Just about any other shop gets those same 4 people through the order line in under 2 minutes. I think I'm hoping that another coffee shop, maybe even a chain (just NOT Starbucks, Tim Horton's, or Dunn Bros) finds its way into the neighborhood nearby for a quick grab and go option if Groundswell isn't trying to cater to that population. Changes would be welcome! I still love your banana bread! Cheers!

Jonathan Gerster

Everything about this place is amazing. The coffee, the service, the atmosphere. It's great. Seating fills up pretty fast though. They're also on Belly and you can earn rewards.

Barb Fish

Very good brunch!

Kristina Paraiso

A very cozy and warm cafe. They also serve breakfast and lunch foods that are made from scratch, and the majority of their ingredients are locally sourced. They also sell a wide range of crafts made in Minnesota: from earrings to lip balm kits.

Jenna Kurzeka

Great neighborhood joint. Awesome food, baked goods and I love their cold brew!

Lydia Zinn

I can't say enough great things about this place. The food and coffee is always on point, the staff is super friendly and quick to help, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. This is one of my favorite coffee shops in Saint Paul. A must visit.

Kim Lorenz

Loved the atmosphere! All the pastries looked amazing, and I loved that they separated out trash and compost.

Walt Skidmore

Cozy neighborhood coffee shop with great coffee and yummy pastries. I've been coming here for years, and they never disappoint.

Elisha Andrew Marin

Groundswell is my favorite coffee shop in the world. It’s tucked away in a St. Paul neighborhood off of University, giving it a great community-oriented vibe; it’s the perfect place to go to get a break from everyday stress or sit by the window and work on a project. The drinks are always perfectly made and the bakery and food options are all very tasty and reasonably priced. I love this place so much that after I moved out of St. Paul, I still make the 100-mile trek monthly to visit.

Lauren Coffman

Great place to watch the rain and have burnch!

Claire Morgan Caswell

Great coffee. Best Biscuits and Gravy I've had in a long time.

Nathaniel Zorach

Enjoyed a tasty, cardamom forward chai cinnamon bun and a drip coffee, which was also great. It isnt cheap but it makes up for it with a charming interior and a welcoming vibe.

Kathryn Stevens

Nice coffee shop. It was pretty busy in there at noon on a Wednesday and I was still able to find a seat. There is some outdoor seating as well. Quick and friendly service. The burger and hashbrowns were really good. The bun was even toasted! The cappuccino was made to perfection. I feel like the espresso is a bit of a lighter roast than I am used to, as well as the cold brew. Stop in and try this place!

Chibi

Love the food and coffee. Employees however didn’t make me feel very welcome. I tried to be friendly and positive so that at least she would let out a smile but the white girl just stared at me. Hope this can be improved. I also came here about two years ago. Same story, i enjoyed the food, but the cashier was cold and unhappy. These kids should really consider learning customer service skills. It can really make or break peoples experience

Dawn Capistrant

A fun local coffee shop with more food items than we expected.

Billy Dinkel

It's trendy, full of young millennials studying and such. I suppose it's your typical not-a-chain coffee place.

Oscar Cortes

Great place!! Nice atmosphere, good coffe, food and more! Great place that supports local

Adrienne Suess

Good food and coffee but every time I come, I end up regretting it. Coffee shops are, in my opinion, supposed to be somewhat quiet. I'm here right now and the music is incredibly loud, which is making the table next to me almost shout to each other. I don't think they even have the self awareness of how loud they are being. I want to like it, but it's everything but cozy and relaxing. This isn't a concert--turn it down so it becomes background music, will ya? If I can hear the music above my headphones (I'm listening to online lectures) then there is a problem.

Emily Hannay

Nice people and great coffee and food. Lots of tables, but full of people enjoying and studying. Great atmosphere.

Skyler Sutherlin

Good food, decent vegan selection, nice location, tons of seating available, WiFi.

Jessica Gambrill

Great drinks, food and locally made art to purchase. From cards to jewelry you can grab a bite before a birthday party without going anywhere to pick up a present.

Mary V

Lively neighborhood coffee shop with beer, wine and food. I was here for a weekend lunch recently. It was busy but we didn’t have to wait long to order and were able to find a table in the main room. I had the veggie burger with the lentil salad on the side and both were excellent. I had an iced latte that was really good too. I ordered the kids menu mac & cheese but they were out so we subbed the pancake instead. My toddler loved it, and ate most of the giant pancake. All of the baked goods I’ve had from here are excellent. The MN cookie is a nice snack to share. My only issue is that there is sometimes a bit of a wait for made to order drinks (lattes, americanos, chai, etc.). I don’t come here on the way to work unless I have plenty of time.

Zap Rowsdower212

Great place. Probably atypical for a coffee house but nice ambiance. They did some revisions to make it more open and inviting. Very nice staff

Naomi Dee

I had a breakfast sandwich and tea here. The bfast sandwich was wonderful!!!

tim lyon

Lots of healthy options, but more variety would be nice. Pricier...but lots of seating and you can sit all day if you like.

Priscilla S.

Nice atmosphere with good coffee and pastries. I tried the red velvet muffin and it was tasty. It was pretty busy so If you're looking for a quiet place to study/work this is probably not it.

Thomas Johnson

Great pour over coffee. Incredible quiche. Great pastries

Madie Martens

A really cute place ample seating and free wifi. I didn't particularly like my iced mocha from there. The strawberry rhubarb muffin I had was really good and the grilled cheese with hashbrowns wasn't bad either. Prices a bit higher than other places.

Rachel Kampling

I wish their cold brew didn't taste quite so burnt, but in general their food and coffee is good.

Anand P

Nice coffee and waffles :)

wonderboy8

Solid atmosphere. Good coffee. Expensive.

Fa'larr Davis

Clean, friendly, Xclusively Tasty healthy food lots of options tasty tasty. Beautiful people great staff.

Hanna Lucas

Wonderful space to have tea and a pastry (-- haven't had the coffee myself, but will definitely be back to try it.)

Nickolas Gryga

First spot we came to after moving to the Twin Cities. Breakfast was amazing; we will certainly be coming back.

Henry May

Great coffee and nice selection of pastries.

Edward Andrada

Good coffee and food. Plenty of seating. Local corner cafe. Wait staff was angry and loudly spewing political hatred. I won't be back.

Candace Lindow-Davies

Groundswell is a lovely little neighborhood cafe with excellent food. Menu is always innovative, a real foodie place. Bonus is there are locally made craft others for sale. Highly recommend!

Brooke Dirtzu

Wonderful GF treats!

Alexandria Rick

The macchiato and blueberry muffin was pretty good. A bit pricey but a great spot to meet with people for group discussions or to get a little work done. They also serve food, wine, and beer.

J Mack

really wholesome tasty food and coffee

c barrel

Love this coffee shop! The food is unique, delicious and high quality! The drinks we're great. The space is much bigger than you would think. Yes, the prices are on the high side but, you're paying for the high quality food/drink and the ambiance. I would recommend you at least try it once!

Sara Vanengen

Great coffee, "real" espresso where you can actually taste the coffee and not overly sweetened like so many other watered down coffee places...cari**. I loved the pastry item i bought and i don't normally like coffee shop pastries. It was busy when i ordered and i guess i wasn't heard and thought i received the wrong size. The staff made me a complimentry drink without telling me. I checked my receipt and found my receipt said small even though i said large and wasnt heard. They still let me have the extra drink with a warm smile. Will definatley be back and recommend. They support local artists and looks like a connected room with a bar

Shevek McKee

A great spot to get some work done.

Joshua Wagner

Great coffee and plenty of space to sit and read or study.

Ray Morris

I meet with our Duolingo French group there. It's a great cafe.

Paul Davidson

Delicious cupcakes and treats, great selection of coffee

Brandi Leder

I am surprised it took me so long to find this place - having lived in Saint Paul, relatively close, for so long. I stumbled upon it while trying to find somewhere that served vegan breakfast. While it doesn't really have vegan breakfast items it does have a lot of delicious vegetarian ones. It also has tons of space so you don't have to feel guilty while you write for NaNoWriMo.

Tobin Vollmar

Location is nice, coffee could be better for what you pay

Wendi Sroga

The harvest platter was very good. The flavor combination was amazing. Wonderful chocolate cherry scone. Lots of seating. Nice atmosphere.

Brady Halvorson

I got an Americano and a salted caramel cupcake. Both were fantastic!

Marcus Johnson

Busy little cafe - great if you enjoy the hustle and bustle of metro life. Food, drink and service was all spot on. I had a cup of the Nilgiri and it was fantastic!

Sarah Robinson

The food and pastries are great, but service is spotty.

Alissa D

Nice environment to get some work done or meet up with a friend. The atmosphere in Groundwells is very inviting.

Maple Teyer

Phenomenal! I had the Chocolate Blackout cupcake and it was better than Nadia Cakes' cupcakes. They also have a small gift area that supports local artists. The service and atmosphere is great, and it's clean and spacious. One of my favorite places in the Twin Cities!

Terry Horstman

Groundswell would get five stars from me if it was just a little more affordable. I appreciate the quality of the ingredients and the abundance of healthy options on the menu, but it's difficult to have food and a beverage and not pay close to $20. Drinks are priced decently during happy hour, but it only goes until 5 pm. Having said that, I have had plenty of great experiences here. The menu changes pretty often, but I can highly recommend the chickpea curry, the creamy chicken and wild rice soup, the citrus salad with braised chicken added, and the turkey burger. This is a great spot to get some work done or meet up with friends. They also sell art from local artists, which is another big plus.

Lizabeth Kyser

Groundswell is a favorite place of mine to study or read a book. Their food and drinks are good (try the cookies!!!!!) and they have a nice little beer and wine selection. It's a good place for a conversation or solitude. They also host Hwy North which has local goods. I've found great christmas presents here!

Stephen Collins

Good cortado and nice space

Jennifer Trujillo

Come here for a unique twist on everyday items. Our food was so amazing! We also appreciated that they deliver your coffee to your table. This is a good option for a quick bite, but if you have more time they have some delicious sounding full service items. We were impressed with their attention to detail and their modern & vintage vibes.

Black Cat

One of the reasons I miss living in this neighborhood. Really good coffee and mochas. Baked goods are super yummy. Super cozy ambience and very friendly staff.

Amy Zeitz

Cute corner shop. I had the breakfast sandwich and an Americano. Both delicious!

Austin Eschweiler

A cozy cafe with a great selection of food and drinks. The staff were awesome and the food (I got the Poutine Waffle) was delicious. They also sell various Minnesota themed items, such as stickers, mugs, etc. that are all done by Minnesota artists. Would highly recommend and will definitely be there again.

Stephen Adkins

I got the well reviewed biscuits and gravy. My fiancé got the banana bread French toast. I have no idea what people are raving about with the biscuits and gravy. It should be called scone with gravy. The “biscuit” was anything but. It was like a hockey puck. Dry and crumbly. The OPPOSITE of what a biscuit should be. The gravy was alright, but nothing to write home about, or be impressed with. The bacon and eggs were fine. My fiancées banana bread French toast? It was just alices if banana bread with some chocolate sauce. It appears that the slices were warmed, but there was nothing French toast like about it. She said it was decent banana bread though, and the chocolate ganache was good. Maybe this place is a great coffee shop, but breakfast is not a strong suit based on our meal. Everything on the menu is some alternate take on classic breakfast foods, which almost always fails. This place is no exception to that. Also, overpriced. Would not eat there again.

Sattam Alq

I like it and the staff is very nice

Anita Hit

$4.81 for a small iced coffee with a shot of carmel. I could not taste any carmel not enough room for cream.

Kaleb Fischer

Great place for coffee, breakfast, lunch, dinner, or drinks. Nice atmosphere and quiet enough for remote working/studying. Excellent and unique food. The earl grey waffles are phenomenal. Board games are available to play and there are local crafts on display for purchase.

Sarah Beckman

Great coffee place. Top quality espresso, love the food, gluten free options, and fun Minnesota gifts as well. Nice place to work for a few hours and grab a bite and coffee.

Ricardo McCurley

Expensive but nice. Good GF muffins

linda slattengren

Kitchen seems disorganized, eggs came out after toast and potatoes, heard lots of apologies given with delivery of food??? Nice place, great staff, neighborhood coffee shop!!! Good ambience!
