Brilliant high-quality house coffee as well as espresso beverages, wonderful owners, good internet connection, and excellent decor. A great place to come and work or just hang out with friends. And the background music is fantastic too. Roch needed more places like this. Highly recommend!

I just stopped in while my car was getting worked on, and wow... Super friendly folks! The owners are the baristas and they source their ingredients as locally and ethically as they can! Forget all those coffee chains in this town and support these wonderful folks!

I just stopped at Fiddlehead’s new location and I have to say this place is amazing! I ordered my drink and the price seemed steep so while I was waiting I was thinking I would write a review how the place was nice but rather expensive. That was before I got my drink. When I got my drink (a mocha) the first thing I noticed was a really cool design in the latte art. I sat down and took a sip and WOW! THIS is a REAL mocha! I get mochas everywhere I go and I have to say this one was phenomenal! Every sip I took seemed better than the last and made the price more worth it. That being said I would like to pay a little less for the drinks but I won’t be forgetting that mocha anytime soon.

A 12 oz latte was $6.71 and I asked for latte in a to go cup but barista handed me a mug. I apologized for the confusion and asked for it to go and the barista seemed very annoyed and poured it in a cup to go, spilling almost half, and handed it back to me. Unfortunately will probably not be back.

Totally recommend the dinner. The food was local, fresh, and so rich. The food was delicious, totally eat the courses and the tasting menu. And the bartender made a drink just for us. Try the Hemingway. It was delicious. My sister always has coffee here and recommended it for dinner. James Beard award winning chef! Go here. Enjoy. Plan on following the chef's recommendations. It is an experience. Worth every moment.

Jessica Brouillette

An absolutely adorable place. Fresh, bright space with great staff. Perfect place to study or catch up with friends!

Over priced on average. Super slow service. The cashier named Shannon was very friendly and professional though. They are new and have a good concept. Ill try again in a few weeks. Bar looks cool too.

Rida Sadiq

I’m happy to see there are more latte spots, this place is so nice inside it has a very millennial vibe and it has plants all inside. I enjoyed the honey latte and Creme brulle latte as well!

Guy Incognito

A cute, local shop with a charmingly retro vibe. The menu and layout are clean and to the point. The coffee is stupendous, but if you're looking for Caribou styled syrup drizzled monstrosities look elsewhere.

Lily Carter

I needed a coffee to-go. I stopped in real quick to check out the new menu and ended up waiting about 10 mins for them to take my drink order and then another 20 minutes to get my drink.... It was $6 which I thought was steep as well. I had somewhere to be so I left after finally receiving my drink and of course, I received a mocha instead of a latte (I hate mochas, it's the one thing I won't drink on a coffee shop menu) and couldnt go back in and wait for a different drink. $6 down the drain.

*NEW MENUE AND EXTENDED KITCHEN HOURS* The light, avocado green, color scheme creates a warm, bright glow of an eternal springtime. This is not your typical coffee shop. You won't find dusty shelves with old board games or pretentious hipsters blogging about their personal angst. This is a coffee shop for adults. A cafe, really. You know you're in a good place when you're greated by one of the owners, like Patrick. There are several seating options including tables, boothes, window high-tops and a bar. There are several styles of Finnegans beer and one local, Little Thistle on tap as well as a few in cans. Oh, yeah, the coffee is good, too. Some shops over brew their coffee creating a bitter taste. Fiddlehead's coffee tastes fresh and smooth. There's a small kitchen for locally procured, healthy foods as well as pastries. Check kitchen times as they do not correlate with cafe hours. Weekely menue changes. No tv's. Cool tunes. Occasional, unplugged, live music which can make it a bit loud but not so much that you have to shout.

Steve Ziesmer

Great atmosphere with a fantastic coffee and food menu. I haven't tried the bar offerings yet. I definitely will be back.

Tom Knowski

Good mochas, good music

Becca Stiles-Nogosek

Try the maple latte with oat milk. You will not regret it!

hannah blohm

I did not have a good experience at all. I walked into the coffee shop, none of the staff greeted me, as they were too busy talking to friends. After looking at the menu for a few minutes, and soon after the barista was on a break from talking she told me where I could order. After ordering and finishing my drink, I attempted to ask the barista where to put my dishes and she never answered. Instead, one of her friends who she was still talking to told me.

Wonderful and friendly service. Cappuccino was great. Difficult to spot this coffee shop from outside. Would have driven past but for google maps.

Interesting decor, good coffee, great service

Vicky Justen

Very neat place with super friendly people, but a 12 ounce Mocha was $6.75!!!!! Too expensive for me. :(

Ed Clark

There is definitely something incredibly unique and special about Fiddlehead Coffee Company and the people who own and run it. Patrick, Sarah, Sam, Charlie....all very kind and amazing people. I’ve just recently discovered this place, and have had incredibly delicious types of coffee drinks there over the past month. It’s now my first choice for a great meeting spot! The coffee, the staff, the ambiance. This place is extraordinary.

Alex Hatzenbuhler

Absolutely beautiful little coffeehouse. It's quiet with lots of good seating, the staff are very friendly, and the coffee is amazing. I wish there was a larger selection of baked goods, but the rest of it makes up for it. The mocha I had was delicious. Great spot to read and relax for a couple hours.

Yuliang Hu

Eric Kartheiser

They have a little of everything.. good coffee, entrees, soups, salad, vegan options.. and even beer on tap and a nice atmosphere.

Lonny Dietz

Great new space to relax and enjoy good food or just have something to drink.

Theresa Weber-Sexton

Cute and warm environment. Dry pastries and poor flavored cold beverages.

Linda Nelson

Great atmosphere, excellent coffee and tea, good customer service.

Anna L

This little coffee shop has officially become my favorite in this town. The owner(s)/baristas take the crafting of espresso-based drinks, roasting and brewing of coffee, and using quality ingredients very seriously, AND they are extremely personable and kind.

Laurel C.

Best coffee in the state. I drive down from the Twin Cities for this. Congratulations on your own location!

Jordan Oxley

Whenever I enter into Fiddlehead I feel welcomed, valued, and loved. Fiddlehead Coffee Co. is more than an amazing specialty coffee shop, it is a place where anyone can come and feel important, it is a home away from home.

Linda Wagner

The posole was one of the best bowls of soup I have ever had in a restaurant. The broth was rich and tasty. Yes, it had plenty of pork and hominy, but also a variety of other vegetables and a lovely crunchy winter-radish garnish. Spectacular.

Tola Amusan

One of the best coffee shop in Rochester, MN

Zach Ohly

Best coffee and people in town!

Awesome atmosphere. Great all times of the day. I stopped in for my morning cup of coffee and ended up returning for lunch. I tried the "Big Mike" sandwich and it was delicious.

I have only been to this coffee shop twice, but I love it. I ordered the cappuccino and the blueberry strata and both are amaaazing. The music is good, and there are plants everywhere which is so cute. Highly recommend visiting... and who doesn't like supporting local businesses??

Sam Van Fleet

The staff are very friendly. They make it easy to have a good time!

Kristy Lindquist

Delicious food, amazing wine pairings, lovely atmosphere... We were so full and yet didn't want to leave. :) They said we could come back at 7 AM for coffee and pastries, but I don't know if we'll even be hungry by then!

Farm fresh dishes, and really, really good coffee. The server at the bar was incredibly friendly and made me feel very welcome. The entire time I was dinning there was a line for coffee, and I definitely know why. The location is a little off the beaten path, but well worth the journey.

So glad they’re open again. The new location is beautiful with even more to offer. They have a full bar and serve food. I’m already planning my next return, tonight for drinks, and tomorrow for breakfast. There’s a parking lot on the east side of the building.

thanila macedo

We were very disappointed to learn that they will no longer have croissants, the number one reason we used to go there for breakfast. Coffee is very good. Ambiance is super charming with big city vibe!

Kellie Frost

Niesha Conley

Very friendly staff but not much in the coffee department. My 12 oz. latte was about $6.50 and they burnt the espresso shot... not great. However they seem to have a large variety of noncoffee drinks which looked good and th place was clean and welcoming.

Danielle Cunningham

The amazing people working there make a real effort to get to know you. High quality coffee and pastries. Beautiful decor. 10/10 recommend.

Rebecca Bowman

Amazing staff, amazing atmosphere, amazing drinks. You will enjoy warmth from all.

Fun, modern atmosphere with new takes on old favorites.

James Favre

Delicious moist scones, tasty croissants, very friendly and accommodating staff. A fun relaxing place. I’ll be back.

Tim Graham

LOVE their fresh-roast coffee beans. I am a coffee enthusiast who roasts my own coffee at home using an antique coffee roaster and hot coals. Fiddlehead is my source of inspiration for a great-tasting roast. I sometimes get my roasts to come out to match Fiddlehead's quality of bouquet and flavor and love it when I do! But I have never had a batch of beans from Fiddlehead that has fallen short on aroma or flavor. They really have their craft dialed in tight!

Kurtis Amundson

Fantastic place. Love the coffee. Uber-friendly baristas! Best coffee shop in town.

Sydney Parks

Frankie Abralind

This is a *beautiful* coffeeshop! Super friendly staff and I had a great Little Thistle IPA.

Erica Macke

I recently moved to the area, and was so happy to find this place! It's an awesome coffee shop. I've tried lattes, iced coffee, and the maple latte, and all were excellent. Everyone working there is also very friendly, and it just has a nice vibe. A great spot to get a little work done during the day. It's also not far off the bike trail, which is a plus.

James Moran

Love these folks, they were like a little family, warm haven while my son was receiving care at Mayo. Patrick is such a sweetie. Can't thank you all enough!!!

Guy Helou

Too crowded and noisy, too slow of a service. Cappucino was very unspecial and less then normal. In general, disappointed.

I LOVE this Cafe. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Their drinks are so delicious. Thank you so much.

An amazing place - love the library and Patrick is an amazing host.

SAM Flores

nice place

Trendy urban coffee shop. What you'd expect from shops focusing on the barista experience as well as the coffee. A great place to have a cup after a long day

james rownd

Good coffee! Fresh bakeries. Not clear on why the menu would change daily? You should get your brand on the to go cups (advertising).

Kennan M

Wow! What a great tuna sandwich and ice tea. Friendly service, great food, and a nice location. I liked the plant wall and wood mosaic. Parking was weird but I'm from out of town so maybe I missed something. I highly recommend this place. If there was one small thing to complain about it was between my fiance and I we picky had one slice of cucumber on our two side salads! Ha! Nothing to write home about. The salads were great though!! Go. Now. What are you waiting for??

Ana Lucia Mesta

As always... everything beyond perfect, I keep saying this and I'll say it again: amazing people, amazing service, amazing food, amazing coffee

lori kaiser

Its a good cup of joe that's for sure. Northwoods mocha has a great flavor. But it doesn't seem Hot enough plus I like being able to have a BIG cup of coffee. I do not feel like you lose flavor adding to the size. For the price I would appreciate 16oz at least. The baked goods looked wonderful and fresh though, very tempting, but with such a long walk back to down town I did not want to carry it. Location and coffee sizes are my only complaints. The atmoshpere is wonderful, it has big city feel, "modern" and young. Love the energy, and the staff is great!

Michael Mangan

Family friendly. Best whip cream and espresso around! The hot cocoa is the real deal!

Megan Williams

Michelle Howard

When purchasing a $6 small mile latte, I expect to receive a decent coffee. However, after up charging me for non-dairy milk, they informed me that they didn’t have any non dairy options. The barista then attempted to suggest other options on their menu instead of offering me a refund. I then asked for an americano with Cuban shots and he proceeded to condescendingly ask me if I knew what Cuban shots were and then tell me that they couldn’t do Cuban shots because it would damage the $25,000 espresso machine they use. I ended up with a cold press coffee that was definitely not worth $6 and the desire to never return.

My wife and I had the distinct pleasure of meeting the ownership and management of Fiddlehead Coffee Co. last night at an event in Rochester. We are not from the area, and just happened to be in town visiting a friend, but we made sure to stop in and visit their wonderful and welcoming coffee shop this morning. We can not say enough about the care and consideration that this team puts into every detail of their business. Their product is truly of the highest quality, but their service and the community that they are cultivating somehow manages to make their expectional product secondary to these things that are so often overlooked in the name of convenience and margins. Rochester is genuinely fortunate to have the team at Fiddlehead contributing to the exciting things that are happening in this city. Keep on doing what you’re doing, Fiddlehead! We look forward to visiting you at the new location later this year, and seeing your positive influence in the community continue to grow.

Alec Werning

Cute coffee shop with food. Great, cozy aesthetic on the inside. They have tea too but more as an after thought since they don't post the types.

Katherine Argo

If you ever find yourself in Rochester, I pray you also find yourself here. Can’t say enough about the great staff and even greater coffee. Best in the Midwest. Possibly the US.

Tania Gainza-Burnett

The tomatoes were perfection with slices of cucumber. The farmers cheese on the salad was very creamy and Rich and the balsamic vinegar was a nice acidic touch to counter richness. My husband said the whiskey cream sauce was tasty. We also had a round cookie ball which was slightly chewy and slightly sweet and the blueberry scone was more of a breadier texture and just slightly sweet. The bad for me was that the bread for my grilled cheese had a bit of a burnt taste and my husband's chicken in the pasta dish was not flavorful or browned. Husband felt like it had been boiled or baked in the oven and tossed in last minute into the dish. As for the margarita drink it was not very sweet which is a downside for me, but it was not too strong of alcohol which is a positive for me. Overall definitely a place we would visit again, dishes very fresh, and use local ingredients. The location is great and I love all the windows as they provide a nice brightness to the place.

Compared to other coffee shops in town not my favorite. Their coffee menu is somewhat limited too. The decorations are cool though! Would be a good place to study.

Melissa Main

Amazing first experience! Will absolutely be back. YUM!!!!!!

Delicious scones and teas. Ambiance is great

pooja

The best coffee made by the best staff!!! This place is an absolute gem.

Tricia Fishbune

Cute, trendy coffee shop near DT Rochester. Didn’t try their food; however it looks delicious! Great place to post up and get some work done or have a couple work meetings. Equally great place to catch up with friends. Their chai latte is SO good! I’ll be back!

Alexander Kuscher

Great third wave coffee shop, amazing latte and cortado, also have alcoholic drinks later in the day. Great atmosphere for working as well!

Jordan Allen

Wonderful little coffee shop. My maple late was quite good complete with the art. Prices are reasonable. The tables are large and great for study or working on a computer. Plenty of power outlets. Seating is neatly sectioned off so that it is convenient both for focused work or hanging out with a group of people. Find parking just behind the building reserved for customers. The overhead music was just a touch loud but not terrible. All in all, they’ve definitely earned 5 stars in my book.

Andy Vig

Abdullah ansari

Best coffee in town, best staff, wonderful shop

Danae Bonilla

I still don't know if it's a restaurant or a coffee.. it needs more variety of drinks to be a coffee, and a more extensive menu to be a restaurant. It looks like a nice place but not what I was looking for

Daniel Willcockson

Coffee: We had a pour over, which was the first one they had made - have only been making espresso/milk-based coffees to date. Given that, my experience with the pour over does not reflect the quality of their product. Especially since we didn’t try an espresso/milk-based drink. However, the pour over was not impressive. Atmosphere: Fresh. Filled with light hues and lots of minty green, it felt refreshing just to enter the place. Food: Decent. The Tones Malone was overpriced - could make one at home for half the price. The parfait was tasty, though! Service: Open to conversation! They were very friendly to us out-of-towners and helped us find other great places in Rochester. Conclusion: Great atmosphere that can justify your visit. Don’t get your hopes up with all of their products, though.

JoAnn Nolte

Nice staff and service was great coffee is a bit Pricey

Tyler Bussian

Great coffee drinks and fantastic atmosphere! The scone was fantastic, but some of the other pastries were a bit dry. Will definitely come back to try the bar! EDIT: Returned and had a cheddar bacon scone that was delicious. 5 stars!

Hannah Powers

Fern wall and delicious sandwich.

Eric Hansen

Amazing coffee and delicious breakfast. Wonderful atmosphere too.

Rachael Hanson

Unique. Creative. Innovative. Here's a place where I really feel at home. I had a cappuccino that had foam and coffee so perfectly melded it was heavenly---made with love! Their chocolate is to die for, with other yummy treats, plenty of room, and Forager next door. My daughter who was a barista in the Cities loves their flavor and technique at Fiddlehead. The ambience is beautiful as well as comfy. Don't miss this place!

Andrea Smith

Neat atmosphere, but pretty pricy. $3.50+ for a 12 oz black coffee. Glad to see the use real mugs and silverware, but was surprised that there are no trash cans in the dining room.

Karen Shepherd

We were so happy to find this place while visiting family nearby! It was so good, we came back each day we were there to try a different drink. They were all delicious! Traditional drinks like iced coffee and lattes, plus some more non traditional drinks. Zero disappointment here. Great service, fun environment!

David Dobmeyer

We are happy that Fiddlehead moved into the neighborhood. But our experience sipping carefully prepared espresso drinks was ruined by the table full of dirty dishes next to us. And it's not like they just hadn't gotten around to cleaning the table; during our entire 20 minute visit the table was dirty and distracting. For a restaurant that clearly wants to project a nice aesthetic, they could have done better. Also, every coffee shop should have low-fat milk on hand for those who don't want full-fat milk. If I'm going to spend $4 on a custom drink, I want it my way (not theirs). We'll be back to see if our second experience is a better one. We hope they succeed.

Jarrett Weimer

My wife and I took a trip to Rochester and we found Fiddlehead searching on Apple Maps. The place is esthetically pleasing and definitely with the times. We were pleasantly greeted at the front counter by a young woman who knew the menu well and offered insight on their drinks. The transaction was quick and convenient and we were politely directed where we needed to wait for our coffee. No awkward interactions here, just real people offering an organic experience. While waiting for our coffee I requested a change to my coffee order which understandably can be a hassle on the barista however, this professionally trained barista took the time to take in my request without missing a beat. The wait time on our espresso drinks was less than 3 minutes. The team on staff today was beyond expectation and created an awesome environment to enjoy ourselves. I highly recommend this establishment.

Connor Cabalka

Best. Coffee. Hands. Down.

Blue Blood

Went here for lunch on a Saturday. Spent >$50 for family of four. The first problem was that the tables were all taken by people "doing their work" and nursing empty coffee mugs, so we were unable to sit together or even close to one another for that matter. The second problem was that the grain bowls were tepid at best, rendering the poached egg placed on top a slimy addition which had no chance of coagulating into a nice rich sauce. For what it's worth, the food tasted okay but was overpriced in terms of quantity and quality. Won't be back.

Nathaniel Parent

Jonathan Van Steinburg

Strong espresso here. It appears this place has a new farmers market inspired 3 course meal that changes weekly. The interior of Fidleheads was clean and new and fresh and vibrant. I especially like the wall woodwork mural and hanging wall plants. There is a piano tucked back in the corner which I assume is playable. I tickled a few keys and giggled as I walked through. Theres large glass windows separating what looks like a kitchen. The baked goods were fresh looking and was told the Baker made them and starts at 4am. Though I am mildly versed on baked goods, nothing was labeled or priced and when I asked if there were any vegan options the employee said not at the moment. I got a double espresso for $3.something and it was pulled right and had a fine crema. The espresso itself was a pretty decent and pulled right compared to others around the shops around. I'm excited to see this place develop. Note parking may be tricky so ride your bike!

Mary Beth Thesing

Best drinks in town! Fresh and good quality baked goods

Deena Horowitz

This was a great stop to go before my meeting. The latte was delicious and so was their egg and Gouda sandwich. The service was fast and everything was very good! The vibe is cool as well, you can sit, hang, and do work, while eating and enjoying some of the local artwork they feature. Only issue I found was I had to park a little far (parking is tough so definitely go to the public lot across the street; don’t be like me and attempt street parking!).

Wei-Heng Hsu

Rebekah Mroz

Excellent food and nutritious too! Amazing quiche- they always have a vegetarian option as well! They also have fresh squeezed juice and it’s delicious! Love the decor too!

Anthony Ung

Very nice third wave coffee place, the only one in Rochester. Has a garden house decor with great service. It's very apparent that all who work here are passionate and knowledgeable about their coffee. The place is adjoined/divided with Forager Brewery also. Quality roasted beans at a good price and a rotating selection through their coffee club subscription.

Renee Cabalka

Love everyone and everything at Fiddlehead. Feels like spring has sprung when you walk in, which is so refreshing! Can't beat their drip coffee (free refill!) and crossaints.

Danielle Krivinchuk

Alot fancier than expected, but the coffee was delicious as ever ❤

Jeff Horwich

Not from Rochester, but visiting this place made a good impression. Great coffee and atmosphere.

Mindy Majerus

Excellent cappuccino along with bright inviting atmosphere.

Liz Boldon

Amazing place - highly recommend!

Emily Fishel

Disappointed in service. I tried ordering a decaf latte and they said they couldn’t make it because they didn’t have time to make decaf. They’ve lost my business.

Jacob Speckhard

Great atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, delicious food. What more could you need?

Amanda Porter

Fiddlehead has such an ambience and the people here are real. Passion can bring you a long way, and that is what the people of Fiddlehead are made of. Their drinks are delicious, with locally sourced ingredients, and the atmosphere is warm. I love to get work done here. Couldn't recommend it enough.

Ken Pritchett

Great place. I had the pork hash which was very tasty. Finnegans on tap

Nathan Peters

Cafe con Panna! Pinnacle aesthetic experience. Wonderful people. Try the muffins!

Awenigma 4u

Nice staff, great coffee. Will come here again!

Alex Douangmala

Got to visit the new location this week and had a pleasant experience. The shop is very nice inside and I love the design and colors. I enjoy the drinks and the menu has plenty. An excellent place to sit down and talk with friends or work on projects. Will gladly return.

Hannah McMillin

First time I’ve ever had a latte made in a cocktail mixer and served in a beer glass, but I loved it! I didn’t have time to get much else, but the environment was gorgeous and peaceful. Also, they have plant based straws

Bryce Werner

Wonderful experience with great coffee and amazing staff. Do yourself a favor and check it out!

Jennifer Trujillo

This review is only in regards to the special dinners they have monthly but do give it a try! Very good food and combinations, it is a little pricey but well worth it. You'll get a total of 5 courses with some choices on some courses and each is very unique, I don't know of another restaurant in Rochester that does anything close to this at this level.

Phuck Yoose

This place is the bomb for a coffee shop! Love going here. The ambiance is wonderful, the coffee, tea and food is exceptional. Sarah and her staff are a real treat as well!

Skril Skrilla

Fine place. Good coffee. Nice version 2.0. Please get a new sign. Its kind of a joke. Recommend just the word fiddlehead in neon lighting. Think the painting nighthawks. Do it right. Give the corner something to look at and the town to talk about further

The Fiddlehead Coffee shop has one of the best coffee I have ever tried! I really enjoyed the Chai Latte! I read online that this was a really nice place to relax and have some nice coffee, which was not a lie at all! The setting is really wonderful and the staff are wonderful! I came in not having a clue what to get and the barista suggested I try the Chai Lattee, which was amazing! I have found the best place to study for class and also enjoy the best, personally, coffee ever! I would recommend this place to everyone!!! There is a new location which is pretty much in downtown Rochester making it nice and easy for students to have another study location! Wonderful!
