The reason for my bad review is that I go to a local coffee shop instead of a starbucks because local places typically don't give everyone disposable cups, plastic ware with a plastic container for food bought and eaten here. It'd be great to see this place not be so wasteful. It's 2013, people base their buying decisions on these things. If I hear it changes, I'll come back.

I do not like coffee, but I appreciate coffee shops I go to with my wife. I like nachos, they had nachos on the menu. This review is for the overall vibe, service and nachos. These three were sub par. Especially the nachos. I've made better nachos at 3am. And I am not good at making nachos at 3am. I would not put them on my menu, and neither should they. Bad nachos.

I love the space, which is divided into several small rooms where you can always find a quiet corner. The coffee is not bad. For food there's a decent selection but only tried the key lime pie, which was so-so. Great place to meet for conversation. Has wifi, mostly reliable.

Building is a fun eclectic collection of businesses. Art a whirl is popular here. Diamonds does ok coffee and some food. Club sandwich is my favorite. But things are not fast. And the trendy crowds can get a bit overwhelming. Prices seem on the slightly high side.

This café is located in the Thorp building, an extensive maze of great independent art and craft type entrepreneurs and small businesses. The coffee and food is honestly massively overpriced, but you know you're paying for the awesome nooks and crannies the building offers that can really make for perfect spaces for most everything you would want to do at a café. It would be nearly impossible to have a café in such a cool space and not be successful. Interesting groups frequently meet there. The people and employees that you meet there all seem friendly. However, there is a discernible presence that can be very off-putting from time to time, a sort of in-your-business air about the place. When you take a look at the bookcase you might get the impression that this comes from a subtly disguised evangelism. Not good. Otherwise, I'd rate it 5 stars!

Great place! Bigger than you would expect from the outside. Lots of little rooms to sit in and explore. They have books and a few games to try out. Lots of artwork to look at and enjoy as well. Inside (and outside) are both dog friendly. Also have free treats for the doggos!! Staff are very helpful and friendly. Spend and extra 50¢ on coffee for free refills (worth it!!). Nice place to meet for coffee or work on homework for the afternoon. Hummus plate was also very delicious.

This place is amazing! I love the staff! So much of their stuff is homemade in the shop, their deli meat is amazing and cut fresh, hummus and salsa is made from a secret recipe, and their doughnuts are delivered fresh every single freaking day. Wow. Did I mention amazing staff? 11/10 would recommend

This place is so BAD!!!! It is so dirty, and gross when you walk in. The staff were not at all friendly or even nice. When I tried to order I had to wait like 6 mins so the girl and guy working could finish what they were talking about. Then when the girl came to take my order she didn't say anything no hi, no can I take your order just stood there and looked at me. Then I get my cappuccino and it sucked, not hot and espresso in my drink taste very watery. I'm very sure the tall guy making it had no ideal what he's doing or was trying to hard to flirt with the girl who was working.Please all readers save your money and go elsewhere!!!!!! No I did not order any food because of what I saw and how the place looks, and the menu is look old people food!!!!!

I've heard they have good grilled cheese sandwiches so I'm definitely have to check that out the next time around there and eat lunch. Who doesn't like soup and a grilled cheese.

Guy working at 2ish mademe a $7 peanut butter and jelly and had an attitude with it, didn't wash his hands, or use gloves. Then had the nerve to ask(after I paid 14.50 had a chai/soy) if I wanted chips & a pickle with it, when it is suppose to come with that. Guy seemed miserable and angry/ dreary to be there. Rude dude. The people running it at the time were phenomenal! Fun, intelligent and a great attitude! I will buy my coffee here from now on. Went in there recently and the guy working there was going to give me half a cup of cold press and the other half water when I asked for light ice. When i confronted him on it he said it is really strong. I responded by saying I get on occasion, I get 4 espresso shots at times in my coffee. I got the impression he was the owner. I wont go out of my way anymore to come here.

I'm only reviewing in response to other negative reviews. Id like to clear up the whole only plastic issue. I have in front of me a GLASS of chai tea and the guy in front of me has a glass bowl. My husband has a mug of coffee. In fact, I see no plastic at all. Also, its not dirty! It's not immaculate, but its not supposed to seem that way. It's eclectic, cozy and full of character AND The art on the walls is done by a local artist. If you want perfection go to Starbucks. I love it here! I come here to just hangout all the time. I have a picture of my GLASS. of chai and the guys GLASS bowl. Oh and its actually open until 10pm:)

Diamonds is a winding little puzzle of a coffee house, large menu, delightful beverages, lots of space. People who work here are great. It has a creative feeling throughout, blending old minneapolis wood floors with art spaces and industrial loft utilitarian style.
