REVIEWS OF Plymouth Coffee Bean IN Michigan

Cristian L.

I want to start with the very friendly staff that welcomed our party in a neat place. This days was nice outside, so we spend a couple of hours on the patio. We had very good coffee, and we couldn't miss their crêpes! A lot of calories, of course, but totally worth it!

Bethany M

Drinks and food are great. Need some minor repairs on the back deck that can be a safety hazard.

Alex Roehl

Stinks like a dorm room. Decent coffee. Decent crepes. Good place to sit outside.

I adore the coffee bean. I could spend an entire day there honestly. Such a holy and cozy atmosphere, with friendly staff. Many drink choices, anything from your basically coffees to really nice concoctions.

James Valdez

Crowded. But its Saturday. So, we went somewhere else. No biggie. Great coffee and a place to converse.

Russell Bronson

Three words. Frozen. Chai. Banana. You welcome.

Megan Ray

Cozy spot for good coffee, it's a quiet place to study.

Dorca Pitian

I love coming and getting the bottomless mug. It makes me feel like I'm at home. Their Michigan Cherry is among my favorite flavors. Their back patio is a perfect hideaway. They are my first choice for coffee and crepes. ❤

John Madonna

I love the Plymouth Coffee Bean. This place is an institution and perfectly preserves hip coffeehouse culture. The prices are good, the space is big, eclectic and vibrant. For food, you can get crepes, pastries or a few prepared foods. There are lots of GF and vegetarian options too. Additionally, the coffee is good, which is maybe the most important part of a coffeehouse.

Jonny Bannoura

Great place to take a new date

Andrea Hicks

The Bean is a classic! A great place to stop for a cozy drink and friendly service. Check out the crepe menu!

Cottage Cheese

This place has a quick stop station where u can tank up and go... If u have exact change u can drop it in the box & leave with your coffee in under a minute for under $2. If not, u spend $2 & consider that spare change as a tip for the friendly owner & her staff

Mitch Stringer

Great location and great coffee. I had the winter blend and loved it

Ryan Younan

Open Mic nights are a youthful blast!

Bookie One

Neat place. The hipsters are everywhere though.

The Captain

Favorite local coffee shop. I just wish they had a quick line when just getting a$2 medium. Often wait several minutes just for them to have me a cup

Scott Winder

Really really good chai latte.

Bethany Taylor

Wonderful place to grab coffee!! Matcha latte is delicious.

Jacque Savageau

THE BEST!!! I got married here, what a special day. I've been going here for years. If your ever in Plymouth, this it's the place to go for perfect barrista drinks, crapes and yummy treats.

Mary Ellen

Interesting art & Jackson Pollack painted furniture for sale. Got there too late for the crêpes. Art class every last Thursday of the month 7pm.

MikeRN

This place is cool. I liked it better years ago but oh well, still good.

Lucretzia Finley

The coffee was really good.

Marti Gukeisen

Friendly staff, tea was lovely, lots of nooks to find a quiet solo spot or group table. I was almost fooled when I walked in that it was just to-go place--all the seating is through the doorway beyond the front service area!

Chad Simmons

Amazing coffee will be back for more!!!

Kyle Burmeister

Slow and uncoordinated service. Poorly managed for a coffee shop. Ugly decorations

Blake Waud

Best baristas around, let Geoffrey make you something awesome and you'll love it!

Tanya Noel

One of my favourite coffee shops, in an old house in downtown Plymouth. Pretty spacious. Always great coffee. Their crepes are amazing, and there are lots of baked treats available.

Sandra Osman

The banana chai is where it's at. Great place to lounge, have some coffee, read or work on your laptop. Sometimes there's live music. Eclectic, creative, relaxed, intimate, and delicious coffee

Jared Reeves

By far the best coffee shop in town. The atmosphere is amazing, the coffee is great, the employees are friendly, the food...is coffee house food. Let's be honest, you're not coming here for the food. You're coming for the atmosphere, the good prices, the quality. It's a wonderful shop, an absolute must see while in Plymouth.

Tia Ray

I love The Bean!!! Talk about a super welcoming and friendly atmosphere! This place is probably the warmest, most inviting building in all of downtown Plymouth. No joke. Everyone there is fantastic. The coffee and crepes are made with love and appreciation for good food and good service. The main barista Geoff is one of my favorite people in the entire world. You can literally just tell him, "Make me something fruity!" and he will whip up some fantastic blend of incredible flavors that brings just a little bit of extra excitement to your day. There's a lot of space for sitting and chatting, or working. Even if you're by yourself, take a spot at the crepe bar and have a conversation with the employees! They love to meet new people. There's a lot of regulars here, and you can see why. The live shows and public art are just another way to add a little more of that welcoming spirit to the city of Plymouth. If you haven't come in here, you're really missing out.

Elizabeth Anderson Kostin

A great place for a cup of coffee and to catch some great local bands.

Catherine Seibert

Wonderful staff and great atmosphere for everything from getting some serious work done to and evening of music by local performers. The coffee and crepes are always excellent too. :]

Stephanie Willey

Love this quaint little shop.

Abdulrahman Ateya

One time I had bad coffee. This coffee was worse. I went and purchased coffee for $4.40, and the cashier awkwardly handed me a coffee cup. I went to fill it up, and put the lid on. I took a sip and was dissatisfied by the darkness of the coffee. I went to add some darker coffee. I put some in, then I noticed something swimming in my coffee. I grabbed it. It looked like a centipede. I put it in my lid and took it to the cashier. I told him I found this in my coffee. He gave me a new lid, talking about "if I found that in my lid I won't like it either". I told him I found this in my coffee, not my lid. He awkwardly apologized and refunded me. It is hard to convey the strange service. Don't go here.

vid 1900

Stopped here during the ice festival, even with the crowds, service was fast and the coffee was delicious

Brandon Janness

Cool local place. Good place to study, hang out, grab n go, you name it. Barristas that know what they are doing, much better than the run of the mill Starbucks. Crepes are delicious. Their muffins and snacks are awesome! And they are open late to get that last minute studying.

Jennifer Duma

Wonderful coffee and Ryan at the front counter was hilarious. Will definitely visit again.

Doug Feldkamp

Friendly people at the counter. Great coffee and baked goods. Plenty of outdoor seating.

VOLANIS

House of the real coffee. the coffee test that you will never forget

Eric Holst

Whether you want a good cup of coffee, a delicious barista creation, or some good crepes, the Coffee Bean is an excellent choice. The staff is always friendly and engaging, as well as good at what they do. The atmosphere is low-key, with surprisingly good seating options inside and outside. Bottom line, solid choice

Stringbean 62

Friendly staff and many little nooks to read, get some work done, or chat with friends. Also had an entertainment for kids. Definitely recommend a visit!

motoracer951

The coffee is fine, for some absolutely insane reason they think it’s necessary to charge 85 cents per flavored syrup IN ADDITION TO the already expensive drinks. Unless they are literally putting liquid gold in the drinks they are astronomically overpriced. 15 dollars for two drinks is absurd.

Omar Hallak

Great taste

Jennifer

The Bean is still my favorite coffee shop to-date. I've been coming here for about 15 years now (yikes!). Great atmosphere, supports everyone local, and has a stellar menu. Recommend: Carmel Apple Frappuccino and the Hot Chocolate ☕

Christina Hoelzle

My first time visiting and enjoyed my drink. Great service. We will be back!

Sky Seiren

Excellent people, excellent coffee, excellent atmosphere. 11/10 best coffee

April DeLeon

Relaxing environment and great coffee plan to go back every chance I get for not bottomless mug coffee and a great crepe.

Aaron Connolly

I enjoy this spot. More of a place to have a conversation than to study, since there aren't many electrical outlets. It still works as a study spot though.

Joshua Kaminski

Great for what it is! The cookies are a great value! Coffee was good, baked goods were great! Air pot coffee house w/eclectic vibe. Great seating area out front to talk or work on a laptop. A neat little gem. The whole town is great too :)

Allen M

A quaint place that I visit nearly everytime I visit Plymouth. Definitely visit this place instead of Starbucks, it has heart and spirit, and the baristas don't have dead eyes like any typical chain. Keep up the good work.

tony abdallah

Good coffee and a cozy place to read a book

Daniel Wales

Very nice place. Jake was here too. Peaceful and serene. Thanks coffee bean.

Mike Spurlock

Carissa Cecconi

Absolutely amazing! Beautiful art! Great service, bagels and beverages ! Perfect spot to stop for a tea or coffee. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Michigan

Jeffrey Lindblom

I love that this place is in an old house. It has a few different rooms, old furniture, a variety of places to sit, and terrific artwork all over the walls.

Toby

Amazing place! Great mocha and good peanut butter, chocolate brownie. Interior is great for studying! Music isn't too loud, 3 separate rooms that help with privacy and all sorts of different seating options with chairs, couches, and rocking chairs. Plenty of outlets near all seating spots. Very nice wall art and asthetics.

Melissa VC

Adorable coffee shop, far away from my house but probably one of my favorite coffee shops I have ever been to

Girl from the D

Best coffee shop ever, great atmosphere and friendly staff! This place has been around forever but just keeps getting better and better lately! Super clean and GREAT coffee.... nice art and of course great location!!! Almost forgot, great outside seating in front and behind the building too! Family friendly!!!!

Chris Sobeck

Great coffee and good place to dev

Maya Likavec-Witri

Great selection of teas, coffee, and snacks. Funny and friendly employees. A fabulous atmosphere in a lovely location. Love it!

Carmen B

The weekend is busy, it is hard to find a place to sit. But I like the unique atmosphere and the service is great. If you have a craving for Crepes, then this is a place to go. They have a little area for kids, but I found every time I took my child to that room, it is super quiet and lots of people on laptops. But my child played there anyways.

Christina Vandagriff

I had a disappointing visit here. I ordered a cappuccino. The barista who made it was training and didn’t know how to make it. It had way too much milk and about 3 inches of foam on a small, so I couldn’t taste the espresso. I probably ought to have asked them to remake it. At least it wasn’t as expensive as other coffee shops. It’s a cute home from the outside and conveniently located. The inside isn’t really my vibe. Too grungy/artistic for me. They do have good working tables with nearby outlets, which is always appreciated.

Megan Derwich

This place was THE highschool hangout. I went in after 12 years. My eyes were full list tears because I found out that I was going to have to go through another surgery... The worker immediately asked if I was okay, he tried to make in laugh and feel better while he made my mocha. They treated it to me. Sitting in the corner working I found myself crying. The safe didn't say anything about it but instead set down napkins on my little table. The staff makes you feel at home. They bother to learn your name and care about their clients. Thanks so much.

Andrew Fowler

Interesting and eclectic place. Coffe was good, didn't order food but they serve crepes and breakfast sandwhiches.

Uptown Strength

Not the best in town anymore.

Tom D

Nice evening of entertainment . Very small audience area , like a large living room space. We enjoyed Mike Gentry and other walk on vocalists, guitarist and violinist. Nice inexpensive night out. No cover charge . Snacks and soft drinks available for purchase. Small donation for entertainers.

Alan Chunn

Great Atmosphere & Staff!!!;

Fayrouz Saad

This is my favorite coffee shop. The staff is great, friendly and always have great recommendations on what to order - and it's more affordable than most specialty coffee shops. It has plenty of seating, inside and out. I love this place!

Welcoming coffee shop in the middle of beautiful downtown Plymouth. I was impressed with the kind and likable barista. She was pleasant and made a great beverage to enjoy a beautiful day.

Charles Exavier

It's a good place to chill with friends and get a coffee.

Jon D

Great coffee awesome place to relax!

Brooke McDaniel

Leaves you wanting more. The Swiss onion and egg crepe was very bland. The lemonade is over priced for grocery store powder and water.

Sara Ahmed

This is my go to coffee place in Plymouth. It's quaint and cosy. Reminds me of my home in England! I work here on writing my book and study here as well. Coffee is delicious and so are the baked goods. What I love the most are the lovely staff. Whilst working I need to pray my daily prayer and the staff go out of their way to find me a quiet place to pray and reflect. They accommodate all people. Super lovely and freindly place. I highly recommend!!

Chris Kovie

I’ve grown up with this amazing place since I was a kid almost over 20 years ago. Coffee is great, environment is friendly, and although it’s extremely busy at times, still a great place to meet with someone and talk over coffee!

Michael Bandstra

Came here for the first time here to kill a couple hours while on business travel. Coffee was excellent and the bottomless mug is a great deal. Also enjoyed avocado toast for breakfast and a delicious crepe for lunch. I would highly recommend to others looking for an enjoyable atmosphere to study or work.

Crestin Green

Jeff and the whole team were awesome. Great place for coffee. You can trust Jeff to surprise you with something great just by telling him what you like.

Joshua Shewmaker

Best coffee shop in town. Amazing atmosphere, huge selection and nice staff. French toast coffee is the best

Rob Schwartz

A great coffee joint with a fun vibe! The lobby and order area are small, but it makes room for plenty of seating. Avoid the big coffee chains and give this one a try!

LandLDistribution Duane Grigsby

Very good cappuccino and the people are very polite! Ill definatly be back ! very cozy place to sit and sip

Rich Basher

Stopped in for a coffee with my daughter. Nice, friendly local place trying to make it. Service was good and coffee selection great.

Mohamed Wasel

I have driven by this cafe many times and always was curious about trying it out. I finally made it there last weekend. I had one of their specialty drinks and pastry. The cafe is an old house that was converted to a café. I like the setting, old tables, chairs and art paintings on the walls. However, I was very disappointed with the drinks. More expensive than Starbucks yet not worth it. And the pasty was very dry as if it's been sitting there for weeks. If you go there, don't get expensive drink but a coffee. I doubt I'll be going there again.

Shawn Davis

Awesome and cozy atmosphere. Very nice place to sit down and get a drink or a snack and talk or even play board games.

Manasi Sharma

Lovely atmosphere! Not a super quiet place to study, but still perfect to grab a cup of coffee and catch up with a friend. The baristas are always welcoming and the food options are delicious. One of my favorite places in downtown plymouth!

Apurva Joshi

Nice place to hangout with friends

Nice coffee shop hiding in plane sight. Free wifi and comfortable seating. Lots of room to find seating. Place is a little dark and could use a little more lighting.

Joseph Cummings

Good place to chill

John Dykstra

I love this place. Line can be long sometimes, it is a slower paced coffee shop, but it has so much soul. The drinks are great and so is the atmosphere. I feel like there's a micro-culture surrounding the Plymouth Coffee Bean with all its events and regulars. Employees all have their own unique personality. It is truly my home away from home, and a wonderful place to study with headphones or open casual conversation with open-minded people.

Carmen Lee

Great atmosphere, friendly vibes all around. Perfect place for coffee, especially when accompanied with a crepe.

jacob kahn

Really nice place very cozy but a tad pricey and I wish they had more food options

Kara H

Love to stop in and try a new latte and look at the art on display

Anthony Price

I love this place.

Nirmal Sabu

Quaint little coffee place. A bit varied and homely experience from regular coffee chains. Coffee was ok although pricing was similar to Starbucks. Pastries were good too. The place was a bit too quiet for my liking and was filled with people who were immersed in their work on Macs. Good place to grab a quick coffee and pastry after shopping at the market across the street

Donald Frazier

Good coffee good atmosphere highly recommend it!

Ken Rose

On my first visit ever, I ended up buying a gift card before leaving because I knew I wanted to come back and enjoy their awesome atmosphere and great coffee!

Brenton Dalgliesh

Has the charm of a local coffee shop that you would find in a college town! Plus, my cappuccino was made perfectly.

Meaghan Ringwelski

Great coffee and delicious crepes and great atmosphere indoors and outdoors

Smaran Bhaktawara

The staff is extremely friendly. They have freshly made hot chocolate which is my favorite. My friends and I go there whenever it is cold outside and this place has a very warm and comfortable atmosphere. There is always lots of sitting and the coffee shop is actually transformed from someones house so you get that cool hipster feel to it.

Moses Barr

Such a great and chill atmosphere! I love unique coffee places other than the typical Starbucks. This is one of them!

Jessika Whiteside

I love the sense of community this space has. The coffee is great with tons of choices and I’ve always found the baristas very knowledgeable and helpful. My son wanted s crepe so we ordered one and watched the employee make several. The employee was very patient and kind to my 8 year old (we learned a LOT about crepes!) and it turned out delicious.

Mason Dockery

They treat you like family. Sometimes better than family. The coffee is fantastic. They remember your name even when you don't remember your name. Ever changing art drift along the walls. Good jams played in the background. Great place for entertainment, meeting friend/s, catching up on school work. Or even writing a book. And soo much more. I give this place a five star rating.
