This is a quirky cafe serving good food including gluten free and vegetarian options. We ate here following our Pictured Rock cruise and were glad we did. The service and food were excellent and the throwback bookstore atmosphere was very pleasant.

Stopped here during our vacation because it had high reviews! Thought it would be wonderful. I'm currently sitting here after my husband has been done eating for at least 15 minutes waiting for my breakfast smoothie. Went to the counter and they said they "lost the slip". We even asked when the gal brought him his sandwich. She said it was coming. Instead of bumping it to the front and doing it immediately, we are STILL waiting. Do not stop here if your on a time line to make an excursion on time.

I absolutely adore this place. I have to stop by any time we visit Pictured Rocks. Not only is this place cute and quirky, it has THE best Michigan Cherry Coffee, and according to my husband, the best cinnamon rolls. They also offer tons of gluten free and vegan options. Nicest Staff in the area. Love it.

The concept of this bookstore is wonderful. I loved getting coffee and reading books I do not normally get to read. I thought the managers were phenomenal and kind. The atmosphere was terrific. The food was delicious. However, the young staff was very inexperienced and one in particular was extremely unprofessional and unhelpful. I understand that young people need experience to gain experience but it might be helpful if there was some more training for them regarding customer service. This is a very nice place despite the poor service we received from one cashier.

Was only here for a quick stopover to get coffee but would have loved to sit here longer and have coffee while reading a book from their collection. Enjoyed the coffee very much. They also had a selection of sandwiches and breakfast items that looked appealing. Their book collection had a section with rare editions and books about the history of michilimackinac

Very cool spot, great food and a great cup of coffee. Awesome atmosphere falling rock is somewhere you can spend a lot of time hanging out eating and talking, the best party is the people coming and going, there are always interesting people visiting or from the area. The staff is also super helpful and fun. We stop at falling rock any time we're in town, thankfully they were open this Sunday for the ice climbing festival!

Very cute establishment with a lot of charm. They seemed to have an option for everyone (dairy-free, gluten-free, vegan, etc). The staff also seemed to bounce back well from a troup of rude guests. My only issue was the women's restroom: it wasn't heated and there was absolutely no hot water. If I'm able to return again, I'd happily give it 5 stars - should they update their bathroom situation. (It was a really awful experience after a very chilly 2-hour boat ride in mid-October.)

Had to come here twice on our visit, because it was so good! Excellent customer service and nice workers all around. Great drinks and ice cream here. One of the staffers was really nice when we asked if we could buy their container full of pickles, but they ended up giving a pickle to my girlfriend for free. This is a restaurant I would highly recommend. The prices are reasonable, the food is very good, and the atmosphere including a book reading room made this a great dining experience. In addition, everyone was very friendly and from staff to locals hanging out eating and reading books or playing board games.

We always make time to stop at the Falling Rock Cafe! Delicious food, great coffee, cozy atmosphere. Last time we were there my husband got the portabella melt, and I got the smoked whitefish on a bagel, and both were amazing! They also have vegan/vegetarian options available. Be careful going into the bookstore-- they have a lot of new and used books, including many by local authors and/or about local places. You will walk out with a slightly lighter wallet and a much heavier bag! Great place to pick up unique kids books, Michigan made gifts, as well as postcards. For those who care, they also sell ice cream, have free WiFi, and (as of now) are within reach of a Pokestop. They also always have pristine bathrooms available!

They call themselves Beechgrove and Blacksmith and they were great. So much fun. I understand they will be back Memorial Day weekend. We'll be back!

The Falling Rock Cafe is a pretty awesome place.... Between the book store, and the gaming area, plus the option to hear music play some nights it has a lot options and is very interesting.... The food is more deli style but is very delicious. I do wish they had more variety but there are still different options to choose from. Plus they have ice cream....yum.... It is definitely worth checking out. Very relaxed atmosphere is a plus as well.

Came here for my coffee every day when in Munising for the Grand Island trail race. They make a great iced vanilla latte. One of the best I've had and quickly with a smile. Even bought some coffee beans to take home to NJ with me. Definitely worth the stop. Oh, and the cinnamon roll I grabbed for my drive back to the Milwaukee airport was the perfect road treat.

This place is amazing! They have a great cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. I have been here a couple times and the coffee/food is always great! I ordered the BLT on a bagel and it was delicious. They are even very allergy friendly, and have lactose-free ice cream bars available. Those were delicious too! The little shop and books are a nice touch. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

Very good espresso and hard ice cream... My bride and I each ordered a single scoop sundae and they were actually very large. They had about 12 different flavors to choose from each sundae came with whip cream, peanuts, cherries and two additional toppings of choice for approximately 4.50 each.

Great place. The guy who took our order did not want to add sweetener to our coffee. He kept telling us to do it ourselves. My wife explained that when you make a coffee with ice or foam and add sweetener last, the sweetener just sits on top of the ice or the foam. He had a real attitude but he finally took the order. When the coffee was done and brought out to us by a different staff person it was delicious and she was very friendly. Another staff person was cleaning a table and struck up a friendly conversation with us about camping and offered some places for us to check out. Except for the kid with the attitude at the register, this was a top rated experience. Keep up the great work and thank you!
