I love this shop! I saw the hype on Instagram and had been very excited as I would be moving up around the time of the opening. It has proven to be an amazing place! I will admit, that my first time I was a little let down, because my a latte that was iced was fill me, and it had a strange taste to the espresso. I was a little disappointed as somebody who is really into specialty coffee and has worked in the industry. I know several other people who work in specialty coffee in Detroit and Ann Arbor, and they said that they trusted the owner to do a good job, so I should give it another try. I'm so glad I did! Everything has been really wonderful and high-quality, and I think there's just a learning curve with a new shop a new employees, especially since several people haven't worked in specialty coffee before. The decor is gorgeous, the Baristas are phenomenal, and I love how much Community is it part of Drifter coffee! I would absolutely recommend stopping by for a drink, or settling down and cozying up for a while to! I hope that there is more outdoor seating for these gorgeous summer months, and I am excited to see what else Drifter will do!

Tried to book, they said our guest count wouldn't hit the minimum, offered to pay more per person to make up for the difference, and in their lagged responses said they "booked another gig" - rude, pretentious - I had left 2 messages with them and never even got a call back, just snarky emails. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere

What a cool little place. Found them on Google when passing through the area and wanted a decent latte. So glad a chose them. The ladies at the counter were super friendly, my pastry was delicious and my latte was excellent. I wish I could have stayed and enjoyed the beautiful dining/lounge area.

I want to live here. I sat at the counter working for hours and overheard a lot of interactions. Every customer and every employee was just filled with goodness. The light, the music, the food, the COFFEE was all wonderful. This is actually the first review I've ever left of a place because I want it to succeed so badly. Stop by, especially during road construction, so we can keep this gem in our community.

Good coffee! Looks like they had great deserts! But this place did everything they could to make me uncomfortable just for being a man! I had just lost my fiance to illness two days prior so I didn't care about how I was being treated. And all I did was sit there with my face in my coffee. However, the mansplaining and man spreading comments and putting the rainbow flag out because I came in was antagonistic and rude! BTW, they were closing soon so that's how I know putting the flag out was meant for me. If you're stupid enough to judge people by race or gender, this place is right up your alley!

I really liked the decor of the place and was super excited because a new coffee shop was opening right around the corner, but I was not impressed. Sadly, my latte had syrup stuck all at the bottom of the cup which made it not enjoyable. I may try to come back because I do like that they have alternative milk options, but just hoping for better quality of product.

Such a great coffee shop - sunny, bright, tons of seating and really nice people working here. They have a bunch of games and books and fast Wifi. Only thing that would make it better would be a bike rack outside - but maybe they're working on this since the place is so new! Definitely will be back. Update!! They have bike racks now - this place is perfect. Also the apple ginger iced tea is really good.

Love this place so 5 stars but wish they would update their hours on Google for holidays. Annoying to have to call (with no voicemail saying they’re closed until X) or look them up on Instagram just to find out they’re closed for several days.

Eclectic little spot tucked into a pretty industrial area of Ferndale. We had iced mochas with coconut milk which were delicious. Place has WiFi and lots of cozy areas to sit. Got a lavender lemonade on the way out (yum) - will definitely be back!

Cute place to go for coffee in Ferndale. Pretty good location off the beaten path and basically right next to Urbanrest. There's a small parking lot, which is nice since parking can be an issue in Ferndale, especially since the road is under construction. Not a huge menu but what they do offer is pretty good. I have had better coffee elsewhere but I'm definitely still a fan and will keep going back. I was pleasantly surprised that the upstairs wasn't stuffy even on a warm spring day.

This coffee shop has only been open a week and it's already one of my favorites! The coffee is delicious and the space is perfect for meeting up with a friend or just relaxing. There is plenty of seating. The owner is incredibly intentional at making this an inclusive space and empowering women.
