My husband and I set up our wedding registry with Crate and Barrel and registered for the Bennett bone china place settings for their design and durability. With less than a year's worth of use, four of our dishes have either a hairline crack across the top of the plate or chips along the edges. We brought two of these dishes to customer service at Somerset to ask for an exchange. The customer service employees did not seem to care at all about our poor experience with these plates and made us feel like they were doing us a favor by replacing the two plates by saying "we aren't supposed to do this, but..." At $61.95 for a four-piece place setting, we expect better quality and at the very least, expect that a company stands by their products. We did not feel valued at all as customers by the Somerset Crate and Barrel employees. Even the customer service manager, Cindy, blew off us and her employee who was trying to help us after waiting at the counter for 20 minutes with no success. We were extremely dissatisfied with our experience and do not plan on shopping at Crate and Barrel in the future (nor will we encourage friends and family to shop here).

Not even 1 star!!! We bought a couch and ottoman (almost $2,000) and the product we received it was not the same with the one on display. The quality is really poor and when we went back to the store to ask for help to get it fixed, the sellers agreed that there are problems with our products. We submitted e-mails with pictures to Customer Service and for at least 7 weeks we have not been contacted by anyone. We had to go back to the store several times and take the story from start all over again and again. I was there, in the shop, last time when I visited them and the seller was on the phone with a Customer Rep (Chris) that was having hard times even finding the email I sent and after reviewing the photos he promised he will order parts to fix the products. After few days I received an e-mail in which Crate and Barrel Customer Service Rep is saying that there is nothing wrong with our product and that what is happening is normal. The filling under the top layer started to migrate from one side to another, leaving empty spots on the seating area and also there are lots of feathers coming out each day. I feel like getting our products straight back into the shop and show the rep the bad quality products and how he is not doing anything about it. Just because of this experience we will never buy anything from Crate and Barrel anymore!!!

Terrible customer service at this location. This is my first one star review! I shopped in person for dinnerware and found a collection I liked. I was a little rushed, so I decided to buy them online. I came home, logged on to purchase and they're listed as "in store only." So I called the store to place an order, even gave SKU numbers... and was told that they have none in stock. I asked to please check in that department, because I just saw them 40 minutes ago. No, they don't have any at all. There was a whole display of them. No, there isn't one. Incredible.

worst customer service ever!!!!!!!!! I shopped online and they were the only store that sat on the order for four business days plus the weekend. Every other store managed to ship within the time frame I ordered from and all they could say was pay for overnight shipping. I will not pay to make up for your poor distribution.

The previous reviewer who wanted to give no star to this store is right. Avoid shopping at this store. The products (kitchen section) are mainly made in China of poor quality. They don't accept returns easily even when the receipt says you can do so in 90 days. They make up every reason for not to accept the returns, ignoring what is stated in the receipt. The female sale clerk at counter even said sarcastically that she could not accept the return because it was not brought there in one week after the purchase. What she said in fact was illegal. Why did she lie? Because I was not white? The store should train the workers better and teach what the customer service is, and what is legal and illegal, rather than teaching them how not to accept the returns. No wonder this store remains second-rate, compared to other kitchen item stores in the same mall.

I loved the layout of this store, and it had so many different decor ideas, not all one style like some decor stores. There were so many interesting items to choose from at excellent prices. I loved their holiday table placings and their merchandise was conveniently located by the displays. I also had several staff members offer to help, and they were all polite and friendly. I bought a navy hurricane hurricane vase for only about $30, and a paper faux birch branch displayed in the photos below. I will probably ship their online store as well for more items!

I've received the Crate and Barrel catalog for several years before moving to this side of the state and finally seeing the product line first-hand. Crate and Barrel furniture seems to be solidly built and very stylish. I am very impressed with the store's layout and friendliness of the staff. I got there at a busy time and all the staff were busy helping customers out. I found most prices to be reasonable and the quality and service exceptional. I'll be going there again and again for my kitchen needs as well as inspiration for my additional rooms in my home.

It's funny how all the comments below me talk about the terrible customer service... yet I felt compelled to write this review entirely because of how great the customer service has been. I had a fabric issue with my couch, and 3 years after I purchased it Crate and Barrel (Denise at Customer Service) offered to fully refund my purchase and they have gone above and beyond to allow me to select a replacement couch. Barbara Teasdale has been a fantastic sales rep and has really gone the extra mile to make sure everything has been handled professionally and as expected. The furniture I've gotten from there is almost always of very high quality and other than my couch has been quite durable and solidly built.

It's nice to have a crate and barrel store so you can see some items. Staff was friendly and helpful. Just the selection of items are limited so don't expect to see the majority of things that are online in the store

Placed a large order (over $500) for about a dozen different gifts online and each was supposed to be gift boxed in the white C/B box. Came to pickup and they were not boxed. Waited 40 mins s for them to put 12 items in boxes. Ugh, I did not have time for that nonsense in this busy holiday season.
