Great service, clean and cozy establishment. I came in one saturday morning for cars and coffee, ordered drinks and snacks for my kids and myself, the service was outstanding, kind and happy to serve me. The group of customers that brought thier hot rods and classic cars invited us to join them. Didn't matter what you drive, classic, import, restored, or a work in progress. They all treated us like we were lifelong friends, both the customers and staff alike! I have been coming back regularly since my first visit, and will continue to do so. Thank you for a wonderful place to stop and enjoy a great cup of coffee.
Friendly service great food and drinks. Feels like home
Very affordable coffee, can get 1 mug refill (which is awesome)
Great Blueberry desserts and service.
Great atmosphere and great people!
One of my favorite local coffee shops. I try to stop by whenever I'm in Saline. I love to sit in the comfy chairs in front of the fireplace when it's cold outside. The coffee is not quite as good as some of the top notch A2 area shops, but it's on par with places like Biggby, and way better than most diners. Where they really shine is with their outstanding baked goods. Their scones are superb and I can never leave without having an Oatmeal Apricot Cookie. They're almost as big as my head and incredibly delicious.
Everyone is so nice. Fast service.
Nice quiet coffee shop, a great alternative to the busy overpriced chains. Quick friendly service, delicious coffee. A little hard to see from the main road, but easy to get to once you know where to go. They also support local authors and artisans which is awesome.
A great spread they have at this location; the menu was not just coffee and pastries - but soups, sandwiches and more. I love a cafe that sells seasonal / specialty coffees, makes a difference of variety over just the normal selections you can get at any other coffee house. A normal house coffee is nice and tasty, but "Drunken Irishmen," (specialty drink) that I got was smooth and plentiful with taste. The food was ordinary, but it doesn't mean I won't come back for more. The place needed some upgrades, but the atmosphere was calming and I also like that this cafe holds events, sells local authors books, and supports charities - it makes it all the more welcoming and unique. It has seating for many to invite not just you, but other friends in.
Best apricot oatmeal cookie ever! Also love the German chocolate coffee.
We absolutely love this place. We come here at least twice a week. It is a family owned, and run cafe, that serves excellent coffee, and baked goods. If it isn't on the menu, just ask, and they will probably make it for hou. They have games for little kids to play, open mic nights, and a lot of local artists, and writer sell their wares there. I have never had anything besides good service, and good drinks.
got me a big coffee order at last minute when tim hortons couldn't even do that and they were very kind. coffee was a million times better than Tim's anyway and not even that much more $. you guys rock.
Great place for a quick cup of good coffee and a sweet treat!
Great coffee and tea.
The coffee drinks are the highlight of this cafe, with some of the best in the area, and the focus on promoting local events and authors gives it a unique atmosphere. Sandwiches and baked goods are a little on the pricy side for the neighborhood, but tasty.
Loved my first experience here. A nice reprieve from the bustling, crowded coffee shops of downtown A2. I tried their mocha, promising myself to come back another time to try the other offerings! I would say the only reason not 5 stars is that they charge +$0.60 for non dairy milk which is always a letdown since I am lactose intolerant.
Super nice people. Great coffee and lattes. Good lighter fare to eat.
Nice little cafe friendly atmosphere
Wonderful locally owned coffee shop. Delicious sandwiches, soups, quiches, and so on. Comforting atmosphere.
Typical coffee house. Nice atmosphere. A little pricey.
Saline Cars & Coffee meet there every Saturday between 7:30 -10:30. I usually sample a few of the self serve coffees on the counter which are great if you are into just regular coffee like I am. Owner and staff are very friendly and make you feel appreciated as a customer. If you want to see some cool cars and have breakfast or just coffee, check out some of the rides that will be parked outside during the warmer months of the year. Or better yet bring your own special ride for everyone to enjoy looking at and make some new friends!
Great latte and friendly staff
Perfect indie coffee shop. Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere for chatting.
Good sandwiches
Excellent sandwiches and a full suite of coffee drinks in a pleasant relaxed setting.
Great local place. Good coffee and easy access. Love that they regularly host local politicians to meet with their constituents!
Nice local spot with decent coffee and food. Lots of sunlight.
Nice local coffee shop with good hours.
Mushroom brie soup was beyond excellent. Bowl small so don't get the cup. Good coffee. Polite service person. Enjoyable experience to sit and chat with good friend.
Great coffee shop in Saline. Not as cozy as some of the others, it is a big open space, but very nice and clean. Great coffee, okay sandwiches.
Coffee, food and staff are all outstanding.
Amazing sandwiches. Cozy atmosphere with a great open mic night on Mondays.
Great live local musicians. The coffee options are endless. One of my favorites
Great coffee :)
Love the 1960s decor and the mugs of coffee
Great alternative to the major chains and plenty of room in fact more so to study or work
Been going here for several years, impressed with there product, very impressed by the way they are part of the community supporting the arts, music, and local politics that are important to building a better Saline.
Great local coffee / pastry / sandwich shop. Owners and staff are pleasant.
The owner is exceptional, super nice! The people that work that are super nice and the vibe in the is very chill.
My friend and I went there for a cup of coffee. They also have pastries. Some of them are pretty big. You have quite a wide variety of beverages to choose from. The place is neat and clean and the staff very friendly. They make suggestions when you're not quite sure what to order. There is a lot of light because of all the windows. When I was there, they had the fireplace going which was cozy. There is parking as this coffee shop is in a mall. This also means that you may be out of luck parking when there's a lot of activity in the mall. I will definitely go back with friends to enjoy a beverage and relax.
Loved the atmosphere, the coffee was well made, and the staff were very friendly and helpful! I wasnt sure about what item I wanted on the menu, and one of the employees helped me significantly by making reccomendations. Plus the piano in the corner was a nice bonus for a piano player such as myself :)
Worth the wait in line.
Love the coziness of the place. They had a great quiche and good coffee. If I lived closer I would probably spend more time here with my laptop and or a good book
I am a frequent customer here! The spicy tuna panini on gluten free bread is phenomenal. Additionally, the staff have a great sense of humor and they are always expeditious.
Great small cafe with friendly staff. I love the quirky atmosphere that promotes local artists. The owner herself often hands your sandwiches directly, gotta love that!
Nice place, community focused, good Joe, what more could you ask for?
Always fresh always delicious and the best tasting frappes that there is around
Their latte is just the best. Not too sweet and so delicious! You have to try the scones too.
Fantastic coffee house with great food and amazing ownership. None better
Great coffee at slightly high but acceptable prices. The food isn't very good at all. I'll stop to get a coffee, but get my food somewhere else.
Best coffee I've had in a long time. Will definitely be returning soon!
Love the zesty tuna pita!
Great. Coffee. Friendly sevice
Wonderful baked goods
The Monterey is a great sandwich, there's always something tasty in the bakery case, and there's lots of room.
Good coffee and food staff is always smiling
Always fantastic coffee, sweets, treats, breakfast & lunch options - and ChadTough merchandise!!
Best cappuccinos anywhere. The custom roast house beans are divine! I drive in from out of state to get these beans to brew at home. It's absolutely worth it! Kim is the best!!
Great quick service - good coffee
Tasty coffee and food. Reliable WiFi. Nice staff!
great coffee wifi
When I went it was off hours and pretty quiet. The service was good and they had nice smoothies. I would recommend for pretty much anyone.
Great food, fresh ingredients, and a friendly staff. Always a good place to stop!
Great place. Yummy soup options, big treats and friendly service.
Cashier was great. I ordered French press, was served in a Styrofoam cup.... When I asked about this I was told sorry. I find that answer unfulfilling. I was told that sometimes people order it to go.. Which I believe. However we had two plates in front of us, one with a scone and one with a muffin ( which were both good ). I then asked for a mug. To which the barrista turned to the barrista next to her and said "great". That barrista then began complaining about filling orders. She was filling fruit cups that looked fresh and tasty. After she dumped 80% of my coffee into the mug and leaving my remaining coffee in the cup (and throwing it out), I walked away disappointed. I will not return.
Great at what they do.
Really cozy place, we loved it!
Coffee and bakery items. Soup and salad and sandwiches are available.
Nice cozy feeling cafe
Very personable staff and great coffee!
Great place to go to
My Dad and I had lunch here a few days ago. Good food and friendly staff.
What a charming and home feeling cafe. This is a great place to get good food, good drinks, and amazing employees!
Good lattes, and a nice selection of lunch fare, prepared quickly. I've had a few of their sandwiches/paninis and have been pleased with them. Also a nice looking selection of baked dessert items, but I've resisted temptation so far.
Great place to meet and have coffee and snacks
I’ve never had a bad experience here! Salads and sandwiches are made with the freshest ingredients and the staff are delightful!
The atmosphere in this place is so cozy and modern with a bit of a living room feel to it. The coffee is fantastic! It's always done right and is quick to get out, that is if you can resist sitting down to rest in one of their tables. The staff is attentive and funny. There are also community made items up for sale by the front counter such as jewelry, candles, or books!
Always great!!!
The baristas are incredibly nice and are happy to chat with you about what drink fits the day. The drinks taste great every time, the sandwiches are diverse and delicious, and the baked goods are always fresh. I really enjoy this place and have gone many times, and will continue to do so.
good stuff
I LOVED the cheesecake. The flavored coffees are great; they aren't too sweet so you still get the coffee flavor. The owner and workers are also very friendly. I'd suggest this place to anyone and everyone!
Always great service, always great food and coffee!! Really
Delicious house blend, a different place. It has meal options as well
Nice coffee shop with a lot of choices.
I was taken aback when I received a vegetarian quiche which was delivered without a crust, but it was delicious!!! Coffee was great! Will be back again, definitely recommend.
much better than big by down the road
Okay, not great
Great selection of foods and coffee
I love Brewed Awakenings!! I happened to stop here just because I was looking for a coffee place in the area and this came up on the map. It is now one of my favorite coffee places and I go out of my way to visit Brewed whenever I can. The staff is super friendly, the coffee is really good and the pastries are amazing!! The lemon raspberry muffins are my absolute favorite. My kids also love this place and I always feel welcome. It’s a nice relaxed vibe and I feel comfortable to linger here as long as I want. If you’re anywhere within reasonable driving distance it is definitely worth the trip!
Lovely local coffeehouse. Enjoyed my iced chai latte and muffin during a mid-morning break.
Coffee good, staff welcoming. Bonus gluten free goodies available. Live music certain days is also a bonus!
Great place.good food and coffee drinkks
Just a great coffee house with great coffee.
A great local cafe with a good service. I am not much of a coffee drinker but the coffee seems good enough for me and the sandwiches are quite good. Reasonably priced as well. A good place for reading/studying..
Great coffee and a welcoming, comfortable atmosphere
The panini was decent, but can someone give me some context for this establishment? I had super tense interactions with the staff. Is it that type of bigoted Christian place? I get the Christian vibe from the books on display, and the behavior of the staff just puts two and two together (not all Christians are bigots of course, but it's obvious that some are). I came here because it seemed like a nice place in Saline to check out. I honestly did not know I wouldn't be welcome here. I avoid those places, obviously, why put yourself through it? The staff did that whole take your order (cuz they have to) but make a great effort to do so stone-faced, unpleasant, no friendliness whatsoever. They were smiling and being nice with the ppl before me, their demeanor changed when they had to serve me, UGH! You can see why I try to avoid it. If they want to fix it, fine, but if they don't that's important to know because I'll stay away. Way too tense, icky, and overall unwelcoming. Is this something that people in this area are generally aware of? If so, let me know. I'm not aware of the local culture here. **Edit** Okay now there's a young woman giving me looks like "wow are you in the wrong place, but okayyy..." This makes me think this is something ppl here are aware of. Can someone let me know what the deal is with this place?
Try the Snickers Frappe (with espresso). It is do addictive!!
I heard about Kim and her team winning the small business of the year award and had to stop in myself to see what the buzz was about. Great food and concept from people who care about what and how they serve, I’ll definitely be back!
Good food and beer
I would not say it is possible to find better coffee, as goood perhaps but not better. The food is never a miss. Not expensive or pertentious but creative and good. The staff always greets me with a smile and laughs at my jokes (which is very nice because my jokes are very bad).
Kim and Brewed Awakenings are great.
I stop for a coffee and peanutbutter cookie everytime I get in the area. Very nice coffee shop, and the snacks are delicious.
This place isn't terrible. You pull into a strip mall, which seems like a strange place for a coffee shop. That feeling doesn't fade as you enter the space, which has the feel of an Americana Alice in Wonderland Coney island on a low budget. The coffee was okay. I mean that very literally. OKAY. Not the kind of coffee you expect from a place that bills itself as a coffee shop. Especially when they still charge you coffee shop prices. Redeeming factors: really friendly staff. A cute campy name.
Fast, friendly and always delicious!
Never been here before this coffee was good but seemed a little generic
Always friendly and personable. Delicious chai, and sanwiches, cookies/treats!
Great sandwiches and pastries
Open Mike!
One of my favorite spots.
It was a very relaxed atmosphere. Very handicap accessible for my daughter. I loved the mocha drink i got. Perfect because it was pouring outside.
We did not get our complete order and had to wait about 5 minutes to get somebody's attention; secondly the coffee tastes like warm water; thirdly the place is freezing pay your heating bills!
Excellent coffee selection and a wonderful staff
Love the coffee, sandwiches, soup and baked goods! Especially the chocolate ganache brownies!
A good panini and a double espresso. Nice staff too.
Great coffee, and service. Best prices around.
Hospitality outstanding. Sweet place to enjoy friend(s) or do your 'to do ' list. Can be noisy at times. If I need to work I zone out or put on my earphone
Nice little local coffee shop. Coffee was good and tasted fresh, and the fruit cup I got was delicious. Much better than the chain coffee shops nearby.
This is a great local coffee shop with great staff and atmosphere. They also promote local crafts and trades within their coffee shop. This coffee shop not only sells coffee and other drinks, but also entree items and different pastries.
This is a gem of a local coffee shop. The food and drinks are delicious. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. They have a small selection of books and gifts by local authors and artisans. It's much more charming than any chain coffee shop.
I do love this place but they should give a detail about the time of open/close because those schedules often change in a last minute. It would be nice to stay without waste customers’ time to find a parking to get paid for nothing.
I love their chicken salad pita!!
It's a nice spot that I did not know existed. It is bright and welcoming. You can grab a cup of coffee and sit by the fireplace. Either chat with a friend, read a book or surf the internet on your computer. Good cozy spot.
I love the coffee! Friendly staff and great place to relax for a break while in Saline. Keep up the good work!
Great coffee. All fresh baked and really lovely decor. Overall great place for a chat with some friends or a breakfast stop.
Love the sandwiches here!
Quiet, good food, good pastries, good coffee!
I love this place. It's the cutest coffee shop ever. I usually get the mocha frappe with an extra shot of espresso or the Veinesse with chocolate syrup instead of caramel. Occasionally, I'll get their brownie. This coffee shop has the best coffee I've ever had. It is a local business and they support MANY other local businesses. I have a friend who has been performing stand up comedy, and this is one of the locations he has preformed. They have other live preformances; poetry, music, I believe they host book clubs. Their bakery section and snadwhiches are delicious. The staff has always been helpful and energetic. They have a selection of board games for kids and a piano. Before around nine in the morning it is very quiet, which is lovely for people who hate mornings. (Like myself). It is at the end of a little strip mall right off the main road. The set up is comfortable. They have plush seating: couches, cushioned seats, pillows. They also have dinning style seating. Basic chairs and tables. Both are great options in a shop like this. Overall it is a great place.
Great coffee and food. Friendly service.
I come here around twice a month, awesome service, great tasting coffee and yummy breakfast!
Solid coffee and good food. I good local business
:-) :-) :-) :-)
The tune melt panini sandwich is awful. The tuna is really cheap and makes the sandwich literally stink. Do not order anything tuna!
i get the "daybreak" on a croissant. is that wrong?
Fantastic coffee and sandwiches. And baked goods.
Good, quick sandwiches.
Good coffee and soup.
A good selection of breakfast food, great coffee, wonderful employees, & a large, open, comfortable space. A great place for weekly morning dates with my wife!
Awesome place and fabulous people!!
Changed mind .now take to goand she got upset.bad costumer service. But still good food
Love their breakfast sandwich!
Great friendly staff, good food, clean store.
Yummy coffee, sweets, and sandwiches! Great place to do some work or meet up with friends.
Surprisingly good espresso, well balanced acidity and bitterness. Great scones. Would be better if the espresso was served out of a proper shot glass instead of a large paper cup though!
Weak, weak, weak coffee. Blech.
This place is wonderful. The atmosphere is so warm and cozy, the food and coffee amazing, and the people are stellar! The owner of the place heard it was my first time in there and she came out to greet me personally (sweetest lady ever!). And Tyler the barista is a magician. He made a kitty design in the foam of my latte. TAKE MY MONEY. So glad to have found this place. I'll definitely be back.
Good coffee just not great.
Excellent
This is a cozy place. Coffee is what you would expect nothing out of this world but pretty good.
One of the best places to go in Saline for conversation, Coffee/Tea or getting work done. Baked goods, Paninis and smoothies are also excellent. If you need a quiet place to work on weekends this is not the place as it is lively and filled with patrons. Weekdays have offered a much quieter atmosphere.
Very good muffins & cookies
