Barnes and Noble is one of my favorite stores. I am so glad that they have managed to stay open as a bookstore in the age of online retail. It is sometimes the best to just go and wander the aisles looking for something to read.

I've been a patron and member of B&N for many years. Great children's selection, and can find any book on any topic most often. If I can't, their Customer Support people are there to assist by either locating it in their inventory or ordering for me (home delivery/store pick-up). HOWEVER, on this visit I wasn't looking for a book; was looking to browse periodicals and was disappointed by the Vegan offerings. Located a sales person, he pointed me in the direction and stated that's all they have. I left empty handed and disappointed, apparently CVS has a better selection.

Perhaps the last great bookstore chain in the US, and this is an excellent location. It's everything you could want in a bookstore. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The cafe is not technically a Starbucks (so you won't be able to use your Starbucks card here), but serves the majority of Starbucks's menu along with Cheesecake Factory cheesecakes. A great place to shop, or just hang out.

This is always a nice place to shop for books. The staff is always willing to assist. The puzzle book and game area is great. The childrens area is inviting and organized well, it's easy to find what you need. However, there aren't enough cashiers when the line gets long and check out is somewhat slow most of time.

Love this store. The only thing I would change about it would be to have them price match to Amazon or at least close to Amazon prices. But again this store is great. Good selections knowledgeable friendly and helpful staff. Love it.

Haven't been in a bookstore in a while, kind of hard to imagine any still in existence with Amazon and the library having ebooks, but the employees were very helpful in stopping what they were doing to help me out. The cashier was especially helpful and informative about discounts I could receive especially day of purchase.

What a great store. Wide variety of books as well as toys. I pray this store doesn't go out of business by way of Amazon. Yes, I paid full price for my books, but it really is more of an experience than I would ever get with online shopping. We spent a lot of time there and enjoyed the reading nooks and cafe items.

This location is clean with friendly service, and lots of parking. I guess with most things being online nowadays it’s great to still be able to walk into a store and pick up a book feel the pages. Many selection and they have a Starbucks coffee shop to enjoy while reading. This is also located near lots of restaurants and shopping chains.

Once upon a time, I hated Barnes and Noble for 'Walmart-ing' local books shops. I am honest enough to admit I am excited they won't let Amazon 'Walmart' them. There is something sacred about physical book stores. A divinity in wandering, literally judging a book by its cover and finding something you didn't know you needed. Technical boy will *never* replace that.

I have always loved Barnes and Noble, the Vegas one was first one where there was a huge line and only one girl, it was a Saturday. Finally my sister came and said let's check out at information desk with plastic so that went faster. Also a side note their Star bucks doesn't take Star bucks gift cards or do any specials like the regular ones like Happy Hour, it's privately owned.

The employees ate rude and ordering a book ahead of time for pickup is a waste of time. I had to wait in the regular check out line for 30min. Then after making sure I had recieved the notice my book was ready with the clerk 4 times she couldn't find it. Had to go get it from the shelf.

Ok, has action figures, books, and a coffee shop. Terrible organization and difficult to navigate, even on foot. Nothing about it is wheelchair or handicap accessible. Expect prices to be full cover prices, some discounts and coupons can be found (check online) , but a 10% discount if you pay a membership fee for a club type card. It is quiet and clean, and in a nice neighborhood.

Its a bookstore, what's not to like! Like every B&N they have excellent variety, tons to choose from, & r the only bookstore around (that I know of, would prefer local bookstore, not a chain). Usually very busy, with a long line to check out, but moves pretty quick. Helpful staff too.

Everytime I come here, I end up spending over a hundred dollars. I never intend to but they have such a great selection on books, music, and amazing gifts for friends and family of all ages. This past time going here, my total was roughly 180. The cashier informed me of the wonderful benefits of becoming a rewards member, with all the discounts it gave me (the rewards is $20 a year but the discounts happen in the same transaction as well!), my bill came closer to 130. I will never stop going to this store and especially this location. Everyone is beyond nice and helpful, even when it's packed and busy.

Everyone is always nice and helpful. The place is clean and organized. They have a section called blind date with a book, which has books wrapped so you don't know what book your getting and it has a description of what the book is about. It's not ideal for me because I have limited money to waste so I prefer buying what I want. But my sister loves it, she loves not knowing what she's getting even if it might not be a great book, she likes the mystery. I love B&N, I can spend hours here lol

Stopped by the book store to get a couple of gifts. They had the books I was looking for and finding them was easy. What I like about Barnes & Noble is that they have a whole area of tables and chairs where you can start reading any of the books you're thinking of getting before you buy them. I buy so many books on Amazon and get a couple of chapters in and just lose interest. Looking at the book in person first allows me to find a book that will keep my interest before I make a purchase. Also, there is a Starbucks in the store.

I love this place! I've been coming here for around four years now and it's always a good experience. The selection is immense, not just for books but for electronic kits, toys, desk supplies, and other knick knacks. The sales are good too -- most times, I can end up leaving with a book under $10. The employees are nice and incredibly helpful. I left my wallet at the store a few years back and someone in staff called me to return it. The cafe baristas are also a joy. I love coming here around Christmas time and ordering a peppermint mocha and an almond croissant.

I think staff could work on being more helpful. That is why your there to assist. I looked and looked for a staff member and finally found them together working on communication issues at the back of the store. Then I was looking for a book. A nearby staff member didn't bother to ask if she could help. Finally after I found it and was on my way to the register to pay for it, with it in my hand a nice young man asked if he could help. Then I realized I couldn't find where they ring up the sales. I had to ask where that was. Overall not the best experience. I would recommend better signage for a better experience.

They have an amazing selection of board games! Their customer service is also fantastic. I had an issue with my membership card. The manager looked it up, couldn't fix it herself, so she called their phone support on my behalf and stayed on the line until it was completely fixed. Really impressed!

Every Barnes and Noble I've been to is amazing, and this location is no different. I was used to the Ann Arbor location with 2 floors, but this one just has one EXPANSIVE floor. It's amazing. You can really immerse yourself into each section. The thing I loved most was that the children's section was sorta walled off from the rest of the store and was much more open, so you knew exactly where your child was. They also had a cute train set for the kids to play with as adults browse. The cafe looked lovely. It was a classic coffee shop that every book lover needs.

I was looking to buy some books that I had on my wish-list for a while. While searching, I only found two out of a ton of books that were in Barnes & Nobles. I know that would be only about a matter of stock, but there is also the service they have there. I was looking for a math book for high school just for fun since I had nothing better to do. However, I couldn't find one. I reached out to an employee and he told me there was none; they only had middle school and elementary. These were too easy for me, so I had to look. After desperately searching, I had found a high school book that was for me. The employee was checking us out, looking surprised that there was a high school book in Barnes & Nobles. Employees should have better knowledge of the place they're working at. However, there is a huge catalog of books that you can buy at Barnes & Nobles.

I haven't been to a Barnes and Nobles since I've moved to Vegas 4 years ago. It was nice here. The store is a good size. The associates were nice and helpful to me. They helped me find what I was looking for. I was a bit disappointed in the minimal selection of African American books. The section for that was very very small. They didn't have any good picks. The magazine section was lacking a bit. Not many books for women of color. The beauty & fashion section was tiny! Wow. I was surprised because that industry is so huge now. They definitely need more selections in those areas. The children section is nice though. I would definitely come back with my son. The staff was great here overall.

A Comfortable in-store coffee cafe and free wi-fi allows customers to sit down for quiet reading, studying, or just have a quiet moment to enjoy a cup of tea (or coffee if you prefer). Stopped by to pick up a book. B&N has a feature now where you can pay for the book online and pick it up at their brick and mortar store. Very convenient for me! They have the same great huge magazine selection and a libraries worth of books. I'm happy to see this book store busy and doing well. This one in Northville is a great location!

This bookstore has pretty much every genre covered, and if you can't find the book you want, they most likely can order it for you. I looked online for a book that I wanted, and it showed that the only availability was at a B&N as far away from my house as possible within the same city. I went there to buy it, but it was not on the shelf. The employees even looked and couldn't find it. They offered to have it shipped to one of their stores at no charge, or to have it shipped to my home which would include a charge. It's great that I will be able to pick it up at the B&N closer to my home, but I think stellar customer service would have included them shipping to my home for free. The employees were friendly and assisted me well. And if you need to get your daily dose of caffeine, there is a Starbucks connected to the bookstore. All in all a good experience. Just call ahead to be sure the book you want is on the shelf before driving miles out of your way if you check online for availability.

This particular store is always very clean and well taken care of. It's pretty quiet for reading sessions even on busy days. There is a good Starbucks in the store with a decent amount of seating available. The board games are definitely up to date and relevant. Getting a membership is actually worth it at this place.

I’ve always been a book nerd, so I love going into places like Barnes and Noble. There’s such a huge selection of books, I found exactly what I needed and even found some new books for really cheap to read. Checkout was easy, and the cashier was extremely knowledgeable about the books I got, telling me history and background info about them, it was really great. Overall, gave me all the book nerd feelings I love.

Their store was open until midnight tonight! All of their calendars and Christmas merchandise was 50% off! The line was kind of long, but it moved quickly because they had six cashiers plus an employee who would chat with you at the front of the line and direct you whenever a cashier was ready.

The guy and gal at the customer service were waaaaaay more interested in chatting with each other than helping customers. I asked for help searching for a book this evening and the gal rolled her eyes and sighed, typed in the book, and went back to talking with her buddy without telling me what the computer said! A great place to browse and find something that interests you, whether that be board games (they have a fantastic selection) , books or music. The staff is always friendly and there's a Starbucks there where you can read and sip a coffee. Their children's section is great for kids to explore. We often bring our 4 year old here and she has a blast looking for her next book. As long as it's not one of those damn books with the speakers. Please remove all those. Other than that, no complaints.

This is such a relaxing place to study or read a book. The staff here are very friendly and knowledgeable of the bookstore. There is also a huge variety of different genres along with price ranges of books to choose from. A nice addition here is there is a little cafe inside of store where you can buy certain items like smoothies, cheesecake, pretzels, etc. I would definitely recommend paying a visit here!

This is my go to place for buying books. The store is well stocked and staffed. It gets extremely busy a few months before and a few weeks after Christmas. However they extend their hours and if you get there right when it opens there are no lines and few shoppers. Staff is always friendly and helpful. They have numerous events for kids and adults every month. Being a member is great because discounts are applied to everything, even sale items. Parking can sometimes be hard to find right by the store during busy times. Books can be ordered online and sent to your place of preference or picked up in the store. They also have a nice selection of cards and gift items and a cafe.

The majority of the staff here are incredibly helpful and nice. I really enjoy getting a coffee and looking at kids books with my children. A funny thing is though, their manager is a bit rude, because he's loud! lol One gentleman was helping me and his manager rudely came over to yell at him about new books needing to be stocked. It was funny though, because I don't think he could tell how loud he was! lol Everyone else around him were startled and jumped, because they were treating the store like a library, (very hush-hush,) and he came around yelling! lol I feel sorry for the staff. Their manager is LOUD, but hopefully nicer to them. Maybe he just needs to learn to match the tone and energy of the relaxed people around him. They were very helpful and helped me find the book of poets I was looking for. A very rare book too, so thank you.

We love this book store. The staff is extremely helpful and kind. The patrons are really cool. They offer events from book clubs to book signings. The discount section has an incredible selection and the variety of seldom seen magazines is always interesting. Should you be unable to find what you're looking for, one of the staff will gladly order it for you at no extra cost. We recently were in search of volume one of the umbrella comic series. They only had the second volume but promptly offered to order it for us. We will pick it up in-store next week. Perfect!

I'll give it 3 stars only because it appears to be well stocked. The women's restroom could have used a cleaning or 3. Used bandages and paper towel should not be left out. Granted, people should be mindful and dispose of their trash properly. Since that was not the case, it's on staff. Speaking of staff, only one person was helpful. The other three employees I encountered acted as though we should be grateful they came to work. And why do I have to ask for a bag after I've made my purchase? I stopped at this location because I was in the area. I'll pass next time.

I was at B and N today and it's a very nice store, very clean and the staff are very helpful however they are understaffed a bit. It took me a while to find a book I knew they had in stock. The bug issue I had there is simple the books are not alphabetized and so you can look at many shelves to find the book you want. Other than that I do love the store and they usually have what I am looking for.Would be nice if they sent out an email as to when the Manga books are on sale.
