It's pretty unfortunate that they can't provide realistic delivery dates for purchasing furniture. Our furniture was set to arrive at separate times and we paid additional shipping to get some items sooner than others. Everything ended up arriving 2 weeks later than originally projected. Great furniture. Prices seemed fair. If you don't need your furniture it's probably a great place to purchase. If you're moving and don't have furniture, I'd suggest a different furniture provider. Bi-monthly delivery windows are a joke in a day and age of turn by turn delivery services. Get with the times.

The whole process was so simple and efficient. My local store placed an order over the phone for me when I was having difficulties having my order go through online. I got updates via text about the status of my order. Delivery was right on time and the movers were kind and fast.

Friendly employees is the only reason this isn't a one star review. Items bought not delivered at stated time frame. Upon reaching out to the store I got conflicting statuses of delivery time frame and where the item was currently at. Other items delivered damage and obviously used before.

Very rude service to employees and customers I got fired on my day off then was told to turn in my uniforms and get paid the following Friday just to be told three days in a row the mail man Hasn't came to the store yet to deliver the checks and the furniture will be brought broken down just to re assemble and be fixed ibn the warehouse with a screw driver and then already broken wood I wouldn't reffwr them to anyone customer or worker wide they have no remote and do what they want as what the hr manager told me when he fired after I explained I wasn't suppose to work that day it is what it is

We are having massive issues with the Mishawaka store. They behave like 1980’s used car sales people ....... when we talk to the people at this location for help they have always been nice and polite. They have gone out of their way to resolve what the Mishawaka store is unwilling to do. Avoid every human at the Mishawaka store unless you want your skin to crawl. During the process of purchasing the couch to actually receiving the couch we had some issues. One associate in particular named Sabrina was really helpful with everything though. She would give us exact dates on when we would receive thing and updated us if anything got pushed back. She was very friendly and helpful.

Pros: beautiful furniture, tons of matching decor pieces, they can set up a home visit with an interior decorator free of charge ... Cons: All of those wonderful things were outweighed by being hounded by a rude sales person when I was just checking out the new store. Put a bad taste in my mouth right away

I would love to write a review on the furniture that we ordered for our living and family room on June 8th, however we have not received it yet. We were told that it would take 4-6 weeks and we are now starting week 8. Since neither room currently has furniture in it, we are very disappointed!

Cheyenne was awesome. She helped my wife and I find a great price on a really nice dresser set and a couple of end tables for our living room. We just had it all delivered yesterday(after 5pm per our request), and they were careful and quick as they brought everything all the way into our back bedroom. Great experience all around!

Me and my boyfriend went in this store for the first time all excited. The people at the door were super friendly. We were just there to look. Even though we had dressers in mind that we were looking for. But was not interested for making any purchases today. Like I said we were there to look. We had a sales employee named amber, come to us and ask us if we were looking for any thing particular. We told her no we are just looking. Then as we went on our way. She bothered us again and we told her again that we are just looking, but she insisted to give us more info about stuff. Then we told her thank you, but we are just looking..so as we started looking around again..she came and bothered us AGAIN!! Just kept hovering, like why can't we just come in the store and look around with out being bothered, after we told her many of times now, that we are just looking...then she insisted to have my info so she knows what we like. But we were there just to look. So after I gave her my name, she followed us out the door. I would of been more interested if we were just left alone. After we said we are just looking around.

This place was great from the moment i walked in. The customer service was excellent, and the sales guy went above and beyond by helping me purchase furniture. I bought furniture for the living room and bedroom. At the end of the purchase I felt great about my purchase and had "ZERO" regrets. Financing options were great and the testing I did in order to see what mattress would best fit me was great. I had no clue I would need a soft mattress before I made my purchase. i wish there was less than one star to give them. i ordered furniture on May 8th online and was told up to two weeks, which i was okay with. when they called to schedule a delivery and i was informed that i could get it today on 24th and now am being informed i will not receive until some time next week wasn't given a date. and i ended up cancelling the store rep was rude and not willing to even help me. - unprofessional and not specific on website about delivery.

I'm an average middle class American who just had a great experience at Ashley Furniture Grand Rapids. My fiancé and I were looking for the perfect bed for over a year. We love a modern feel and it'd been so difficult to find the look we wanted at a good quality without breaking the bank. We're determined shoppers - we looked online and at just about every West Michigan store. But no one had exactly what we wanted. Then on Monday, we were greeted by the tremendous Emily R at Ashley HomeStore in Grand Rapids, and within 3 minutes of describing what we wanted, Emily walked us over to our dream bed! I thought it would cost a fortune and was SHOCKED at how affordable it was! I also mentioned to Emily that we were looking for a mattress (not really expecting to find something we could afford) but she worked her magic again! Emily found us our DREAM mattress (a Tempur-Pedic no less!) at a price we loved! We want to send out a special thank you to Emily R - not only for helping us find furniture we love at a great price, but for being a helpful friend throughout the process. In most furniture stores, one feels attacked upon stepping through the door with the sales pitch. Emily went above and beyond making our experience at Ashley's all A+ positives - great quality, great price, great personal experience. Thank you, Emily! We had an awesome experience at Ashley’s furniture my husband and I visited the store 3 times in a day because we thought we were going to be able to find a better sectional with a better price. Even though there is nice furniture other places we came back to Ashley’s because of the awesome experience we had with Dameyon M. He was patient and kind and answered all of our questions without being pushy. He was by far the best sales representative we have ever encountered. This is by far the worst experience my family and I have had. I would not recommend buying anything from Ashley’s, when you go in the sales representative’s are happy to help you and they act like they care, because they get a commission out of every sale they make plus they get a base salary. My family bought two pieces of furniture and two mattresses from here and we paid to have it delivered when we were purchasing the items the sales rep told us that they would be delivered by a certain date we had a lot of back and forth with the manager of the store and some of the employees in regards to delivery date. When we finally got our stuff One of the mattresses was not the one that we ordered so I called and I spoke with the manager and with the sales rep that had sold us that mattress and we were told no it’s the same,there is no difference between the mattresses. We had ordered 2 of the same Stearns & Foster Extra firm mattresses one a queen the other a king. But the king mattress is not extra firm and I tried to explain this to them every time I call I always get a will call you back or no it’s the same mattress there is no difference between the two mattresses and that we should be happy with what we have, even after explaining to them that the soft king mattress that they sent us is hurting my back that’s why we ordered an extra firm and no one over there seems to care they just want to sell you things to make a commission. I would never recommend anyone ever shop here because it’s a hassle to deal with a company that doesn’t care about its customers but more about their sales and commission that they could make off of you. I am still waiting for a call back. To the owner: This is quite amusing to me that you guys are willing to reply so quickly to a review online but do not call a customer back when they are unhappy with your guys service, I had to call you guys yesterday to make an appointment to come in today to reselect a mattress, even when I came into the store you guys were not giving me a comparable mattress to the Stearns and Foster and on top of that you wanted me to pay for redelivery. Which I shouldn’t have to do, I ordered a mattress from you guys and it wasn’t the same as the one that I received And when I try to explain this to your sales rep she kept on saying oh it has something to do with how I perceive it when the matter the fact is The mattress I received is not the same as the one I ordered. I feel like I’m just going in circle with you guys your customer service is not good.

I went in there looking for something very specific and I had already gone to a few furniture stores. By far this was the friendliest and most helpful. I had a newer salesperson names Callie who was terrific. She even brought her manager over for other questions. They were so patient. I ended up liking something else there and Callie thoroughly went over the great features of the product. Before I left I also met the manager there who was also very friendly. I have always been the loyal kind of person and have always been with one furniture store but that will change. I dont like to name names but let's just say with the other store I felt like a number and if I didnt look the part or have something big to buy I was literally cast aside. This never happened at Ashley. Even though I didnt buy this time I will be back and will be asking for Callie. Thanks for such a great experience with furniture again. You guys rock!!!!

Absolutely wonderful organization! One of a kind and a nice change to see in Grand Rapids. I was in the store yesterday and randomly over heard a loud ring/gong sound while i was in the showroom just looking around. I noticed that all the staff randomly flocked to the middle of the showroom and every single one of them shook the hand of an army veteran that served in WWII and personally thanked him for his service. I was baffled at the fact that an organization would value veterans so much and have an expectation for everyone in their organization to share the that same value. I overheard that a portion/section of their store will eventually be dedicated to veterans and every single veteran that has stepped into that store picture will be posted a wall somewhere in the showroom. I honestly wish more people and organizations in our community valued veterans a much as Ashley HomeStore. I will definitely be returning to the store sometime in the near future! What a class act of an organization. Very touching experience.

We stopped in last weekend to just take a peak at a dining room table we saw on the website. They ended up not having the table in the showroom to see in person. The best thing about this place was Graham! He listened to what our wants were, answered all of our questions, and was super patient with our all over the place 3 year old (the whole staff was super friendly with him actually). He helped us find pieces to really compliment custom made furniture we already have. We walked in to just look at a table and walked out with a new dining room set, 2 amazing dressers, and some awesome industrial style side table lamps. As someone who has worked in Sales/Customer Service for the past 15 years.....NEVER GET RID OF GRAHAM!!! Best Sales Consultant I have ever encountered. We will definitely be back for more pieces, and hope to work with him again.

I was excited to see a new and potentially better furniture store open in GR. I went in was greeted happily almost immediately when I came through the door but just wanted to check out the place. While I was up by the little front counter/office area I saw a young lady named Alicia. I imagine she is in a leadership role as she was getting her name called faster then an auctioneer speaks. If she was razzeled you couldn’t see it. She always was up beat and had a huge smile on her face. Once I get into my house I will definitely be back to furnish my house.

Scheduling a delivery with this company is a JOKE! We ordered furniture for our business and they can not guarantee delivery during business hours. I called and spoke with the "operations manager", Mike and he was not helpful or accommodating to deliver during business hours. Instead we were expected to stay till 7:30 at night for our delivery. HORRIBLE service. I would not recommend Ashley Home store for ANY business orders. They are unaware of what the definition of customer service is. If I could score them with a negative number I would. Both Heather (in delivery scheduling) and Mike (in operations) were dismissive with our request to deliver during business hours.

Went to warehouse to pick up mattress and box spring. The staff was very helpful. But they had no rope or anything to hold it to the roof of the car. I happen to carry ratchet straps with us. Other wise u r out of luck.

When I called back to place the order she again spent a lot of time working through pricing with me to make sure I got all of the discounts and the best price possible for our purchase. Good quality furniture, but their service is definitely not the best. First off, we purchased our furniture five weeks before our move-in date for our new home. We were assured by the salesman that our furniture would be ready before our move-in date. However, when the date arrived we were told our furniture was still not ready. My wife and I had to spend the first 1.5 weeks in our new home without any living room, basement and master bedroom furniture. Luckily we had kept our old bedroom furniture to use for our spare bedroom. When I called for an update, I was told that half of our furnitue was at the store and the other half was still at their warehouse in Wisconsin due to severe weather delays. While I do understand weather delays, what bugged me most was the lack of communication and accomodations towards us. It seemed like I had to always reach out to them (rather than the other way around) to get the updates on our furniture arrival. I had to plead and argue with them just to have them deliver half of my furniture that was already at their store (which came almost two weeks after we moved in) and get management to waive the second delivery fee for when the rest of my furniture arrived since it wasn’t my fault for the delays (yes, the customer service rep was going trying to charge me a delivery fee again). We didn’t end up getting the remainder of our furniture until a month after our move-in date. Also when the first delivery was made, the movers had put a small hole in the drywall from hitting our front door too hard (see pic). Fortunately I was able to cover it with a bigger door knob stopper. Another pain point when my wife added a drawer to our order while waiting for our second delivery. We were told that it could not be included in the delivery that we already had scheduled, so we were charged for an additional delivery fee. However when the delivery for the remaining furniture came, the drawer was included. When I called the store, we were told by the customer service rep that we would get a refund for the additional delivery fee. However it took several weeks of getting the run-around between different department reps and persistent follow-up calls I had to make to them to finally get the refund. Overall I feel like nice furniture stores are a dime a dozen in the area and stores should make themselves stand out with great customer service. Unfortunately Ashley did not do that for us.

Bought a leather power recliner $1,000.00, from this place, one month later it’s making a squealing noise, but because we didn’t pay over $100.00 delivery charge and opted to pick it up, it has no warranty. We were told we can haul it in 40 miles and they will put new guts in it or they will send us the mechanical part and we can fix it ourselves. I will never buy from this place again and do not recommend anyone else does. Their policy stinks. After contacting them for the third time they ordered a new part for the chair, then they sent the delivery driver to change it out. He stated he never worked on a power recliner and had to go but tools. After my chair was in pieces in my living room I called the manager and told him it’s coming back with the driver. They took it back and refunded my $1,000.00. All they needed to do was deliver a new chair when I called the first time. Dah!

I was going to buy a Ranimar Dining Set and overheard another customer in the store asking why the prices online at the ashley home store website were much less. They said they will price match. Wonderful and helpful staff. We looked online for an item and unfortunately they did not have it in the store. After looking around for a few minutes we found something else that we were interested in. We told one of the staff what we were looking at and she showed us all of the options they had. When we found one we were interested she check and found the same model in their clearance section because it was the previous floor model. It was just fine and $200 less than a new one. We also found a great storage ottoman in the clearance section that matched.

If it wasn't for Emily Rhoads, this would have got a 1 star rating. However, Emily was great in communicating with the wife in getting the furniture we ordered even though it was backordered and out of stock at the Wisconsin warehouse. She was able to get the couch and loveseat in a much more timely fashion with a little compromising by the wife. I was ready to cancel the order however, but Emily and I wife worked it out. Emily even personally showed up at the house with the delivery of the loveseat. Even though it wasn't Emily's fault regarding the delivery time, Ashley Furniture really lacks in delivery time and communication from the warehouse. This is something that needs to fixed and shouldn't be an issue with such a popular furniture name. If it wouldn't have been for Emily, this order would have been canceled and I wouldn't have recommended Ashley HomeStore to anyone. Since Emily went above and beyond, I will recommend them and give them another chance in the future. Thanks Emily

We recently had the BEST furniture shopping experience of our lives. My husband and I (and our 2 kids!!!) went in on Memorial Day and were thrilled with our entire trip. We spent probably 3 hours total there that day and never felt pressured or rushed. Graham was, by far, the best sales consultant that we have ever worked with. Not only was everyone in the store friendly and knowledgeable, but they took the time to answer the many questions I had about different features, and even moved some things around on the floor so I could get a better feel for the pieces I was looking at. I was actually very happy after I had picked out my furniture at the store but since then have had nothing but a bad experience. First they said our furniture would be delivered by mid May and it’s now June 5th. I called to talk to the lady that we ordered from and she no longer works there. So finally the warehouse called to setup delivery while I was away for a few days. I tell them I’m not sure but it should work and I’m told if not let them know when I get the confirmation call. I tried to reschedule during the call and the lady told me no I can’t she’s the one that does the scheduling and if I want to reschedule they’ll have to charge me again. FYI it’s not cheap for delivery, especially for how much you spend of furniture! I’ve ordered from Art Van before and been much happier with my experience and quality vs cost.

Do not recommend. We purchased the best tempurpedic mattress in the store. It was a very large investment but we felt we were getting older and investing in our health was smart. We chose the mattress support level based on laying on the floor model and testing it out. We were leery about spending so much but were assured that we had a full year to bring it back if it didn’t work out. The mattress was delivered 2 weeks later and felt nothing like the floor model. The next morning we could barely move. It was like sleeping on the floor. We contacted our salesman to find out what we could do. He explained that the mattress we were ultimately delivered wasn’t going to feel anything like the floor model as hundreds of people had laid on it and broke it in. That would have been great information to have before we purchased it. Now they won’t take it back because it’s “used”. So much for their guarantee. All they cared about was making money. Shopping there was a mistake we won’t make again.

I purchased a sectional couch for a new home and was hoping to have in time for the Super Bowl. The warehouse manager was very accommodating and got me scheduled in for that Sunday before kickoff. Dre and (unfortunately I can't remember the other guy's name) whoever he was delivering with on 2/3/19 were amazing. They moved it all in quickly and made it like easy getting around the small corners and narrow stairways. They made sure I was satisfied with the couch and it was exactly where I wanted. They were professionals that cleaned up and were very polite. I would definitely recommend.

We were in the market for a chest of drawers. I can't speak for all their furniture, but their dressers are junk unless you pay $600 and up. The salesperson said they would price match, we just needed to show her the website were we saw a better price. The dresser we wanted was $598 in their store, we found an online price for $368. She said she couldn't match that because it was too low. So we found a couple other websites that were selling it for $450 and $476. She refused to match those prices as well saying they were too low also. I finally asked her what her bottom line price was on the dresser we wanted. She said the lowest she could go was $598; which was the price listed in their store. Long story short they claim to price match, but that's just a line of bull. Will not be returning to this store.

I'm Mary and would like to tell how happy and pleased I am with Ashley Home Store. I first ordered a leather recliner and being the great chair it was I had to wait for the order. That was not really the problem. I needed the chair as I have problems with my neck/head and have trouble sleeping. Coming back into the store I talked my the best sales women in the store. She was so understanding and kind and with that we found another chair that I liked and it only took a short time and it was in and delivered. While we have yet to buy anything from the Grand Rapids store, we've been here multiple times. The staff is informative, friendly, and they make themselves available. Purchased a mattress in a box recently. Picked it up from the store, brought it home, followed the instructions to unpack the box without the use of a sharp object, and to my surprise the mattress was RIPPED on both sides (front and back). I called the store right away to inform them of the situation, and they denied replacement of the mattress and on top of that accused the customer of making the tears with a sharp object. This is not the first time I purchased a mattress in a box, so I know how to unpack a box. Apparently, once it leaves the store without their delivery men, they can’t be held liable for anything. And that 10yr warranty is bologna. It doesn’t cover much at all. I’m upset because they accused the customer of making the rip when we clearly didn’t and can’t replace a brand new mattress. Second bad experience at this store. Not sure why I went back. At first, I bought a breakfast table w 4 chairs, and the chair legs broke within a few months, slowly but surely.

Ask for Graham if you go to Ashley Homestore in Grand Rapids, MI! Graham was the first person who greeted me when I first entered Ashley Homestore in March 2019. I had already purchased a new couch and chairs from another store and was looking for end tables and lamps. Graham and a I walked around the store like two old friends looking at pictures on my phone of my living room while searching for a good match. I didn’t purchase anything right away, but later asked Graham to stage a specific lamp on the end table I was most interested in and send me a picture. He sent it along right away. Ultimately, I purchased 2 end tables and 2 lamps and have been very happy with those finishing touches to my new living room! But, more importantly, Graham’s consultative (no pressure) approach, design input, and great follow up resulted in a “great shoping experience” at Ashley Homestore.
