Here you will be able to see all the opinions of real people who use the services and products of Milk Street Cafe (Coffee Shop) in Massachusetts.
To this day this business receives a score of 4.5 over 5 and the rating was based on 302 reviews.
As you can see its rating is almost the best one, and it's based on a very high number of feddbacks, so we may conclude that the valuation is quite accurate. If people have bothered to rate when they are happy, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to place reviews when they are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Coffee Shop corresponds to the category of Cafe.
Hire cashiers that are not rude and can multi-task. This review is based solely on my customer experience not the food (which is pretty good). As a tenant at 50 Milk Street, we are given access cards that provide many perks at the building. One is a 10% discount at the Milk St. Cafe. When I presented my discount card as she was ringing up my item, she rudely stated "I can't ring this up and look at your card at the same time". When I went on to say, I just want to make sure I'm getting my 10% she stated "you are"as if this was a bother for her. My advice to Milk St. Cafe Management, hire cashiers that want to work there, teach them customer skills and the concept of their money in exchange for your employers goods keeps you employed. And finally, hire people that can take .25 seconds to look at card and then go back to a task at hand without becoming distracted and confused to the point that they lash out at the customer. Also, note there are at least 20 other lunch options within a 1 block radius. Competition is tough. Keep that in mind when hiring.
A rare kosher venue that combines, choice of meat, dairy, pareve, with high quality and value. It is a pleasure and a destination when we visit Boston. Boston scrod, sushi, New England fish chowder and much much more can be found in a clean bright food court style location in downtown Boston. So good it attracts a broad base of customers with something for everyone. Take the T as you can easily spend more on parking than on food.
They are perfect! Food is great, place is great and the service is superb!
Great atmosphere and the staff is so sweet! Not to mention delicious coffee!
I like Milk Street Cafe because although I do not follow a kosher diet, the food is fresh and the specials always change. I see a person who I think is the owner there often. It's nice that it's cafeteria-style so there is something for everyone. Seating can be limited so would not advise coming with a large group unless you are getting food to go.
Delicious food. Kosher. Many menu choices, both hot and cold. Prepared salads available in containers, ready for quick take-out. Delightful decor. Comfortable seats. Central location in Boston's Financial District.
Probably the best place to get lunch in Boston is here. The sandwiches are tasty and satisfying, salads are fresh, and there is a variety of deserts. It could be a little pricey but it is 100% worth it.
Best place in downtown Boston for a kosher lunch. A real treasure for many years.
Decent kosher deli. Friendly staff.
Great food, great service, and very quick lines. Would recommend it to everyone.
Excellent food in pleasant surroundings.
All in one. Tasty.
All the food was very well prepared and reasonably priced for kosher fast food place.
The best quality to price ratio I have ever found for kosher food in America.
Very friendly service with great menu offerings
Not only was the food excellent and well priced, the kosher certification was high caliber. To top it off the owner came over and spent some time with my family and giving us the history of the restaurant.
This is a busy place but it has great service. The food is broken down by category of dairy/meat so of your lactose intolerant you can eat at the meat counter and not have any issues. Oh and the food is good too
It was absolutely freezing cold and we had walked several blocks to go to a different salad joint , called Tossed. When we got there, they had decided to close early so we bent our heads to the wind and headed back to the hotel, quite unhappy. When we got back to Devonshire, we saw Milk Street Cafe and decided to go there instead. Great choice! The servers were friendly and efficient and the salad was amazing. I still tell everyone I talk to about the chicken -- the quantity and quality! My daughter ordered a Buffalo Chicken sub and had to remove some chicken just to be able to eat it. Lol Overall, I was impressed. In fact, I will visit again given he opportunity.
Good healthy breakfast 20$ for a sandwich fruit salad and coffee
Very nice kosher place. Good food
Great place to grab a bite so many options and they are always so fresh.
Very nice cafe with a large variety of food. Staff is very pleasant and helpful.
I walked in, blinked multiple times and thought "am I dreaming?? Is this place really kosher??" It's great, and it is!!
Ok. Don't like milkages and flashigs in one restaurant
I love Milk Street Cafe. The food is fantastic. The selection is great. The staff is really friendly and engaged.
Great food as always. Love the sticky buns!!!
Great pulled bbq beef sandwich. Amazing.
Great selection. Quickly prepared. Delicious food.
Live this place
Awesome menu, great service, good prices! High recommended!
This is one of my favorite restaurants in the country!! Extremely clean, beautiful and delicious.
it's a great place especially for a business lunch ! we enjoy it every time!
I eat lunch at MSC whenever I'm in the area. I love their fish entrees, baked ziti, salads and desserts. The apple and pear cobbler is delectable! Every time I've been there, they've had some kind of special offering, such as free samples of a new dessert. Great people!
License #. R48-917 should be more careful the way he drives. While exiting Massachusetts General Hospital from Chemo treatment my husband had to come to an abrupt stop since this man ran the stop sign. Van 6.
Seemed like a nice place, although I only bought a coffee to go, so reserving a 5 * for a second visit
A fav location for tasty cafe food. Stopped in on a Monday I think. The service was very helpful and observant. This place has a great atmosphere.
Food is ok, a bit on the expensive side, always crowded because it is the only kosher place around the area.
Milk Street Cafe is a couple doors down from my office. I used to stop in there regularly to get a scone or muffin in the morning. The scones were delicious and the price was reasonable. Then they switched to a different baker and the scones are often not cooked through. The muffins were still good and the price was right. However, I've been in a couple times since the renovation and I won't be going back. The prices were raised substantially and the muffin I got this morning is about half the size it used to be. So higher prices, smaller and lesser quality food - not a recipe for success in my book. They should have left the space the same and kept the quality and pricing they had before.
Great food, excellent service and location.
Excellent food. Huge menu. Great sandwiches. The chicken gumbo soup was very spicy and very good. One complaint: food preparation was very slow and inefficient - it took way too long to make sandwiches.
Perfect place
Good, fresh food. Customer service was also excellent.
Very high quality food, with lots of choices.
Newly renovated. Great selection for vegetarians.
The staff here is very friendly and extremely competent.
Almost every time I come to Boston I go to Milk Street Cafe. Fresh food, consistently good and a great place to bring co-workers.
Love this restaurant! Wish they'd open a Brighton location ;)
High end cafeteria, clean , no tip cup. Staff doesnt consider pay high enough to justify the lack of tips.
Not tasty at all. Too much salt.
Great kosher cafe
Good variety of food and snacks. The people that work there are super friendly, i love it!
For a kosher place, this spot is VERY clean. We were very happy with the quality of the food and coffee. INTELLIGENTSIA COFFEE BEANS!!! A true gem in an neighborhood where there's nothing kosher to eat. Well done!
Great food price a little high but love that u can get different types of food
Good food
We arrived at 3pm as they were locking up for the day but still invited us in. The Batista was super nice and accommodating even though she had clearly already cleaned up and was putting the rest away. We offered to go elsewhere but she insisted we stay. The cafe latte and the double long espresso were great. We also bought a blueberry crumble and banana Nutella square. They were both fresh and excellent.
This place is amazing for lunch. Salads, home-cooked meals,...an endless variety of choices and something for everyone. My coworkers and I go often and we have always been pleased. Lunch will set you back $10-12 but it's worth it. Fast, friendly service. The fact that it's kosher doesn't matter one way or another to me: it's simply one of the best lunch places in the Downtown Crossing area.
Great kosher eatery with many different options at respectable prices in this part of Boston
Yummy food
Great, fun cafe. Yummy and kosher food.
I stop by almost every day, great service with good food.
On vacation from NYC and used to really great restaurants. This was as good and better than what we were used to. Food--really top notch! Service -- superb...Nicole helped us and was as nice as they come!! We will definitely be returning.
Lots of seating space! They have a good selection of tea as well as coffee
Delicious butternut soup!! Friendly Service
Handmade sandwich, fresh ingredients. Great downtown view. Very professional staff. I had never been inside before and was from out of town, was made to feel at home. Love this place and when i am in town again i will be back.
I couldn't find worst than this place in Boston, burned sandwiches, bad test, worst coffee as well, on the top high price; and bad attitudes .
The Freshest and the Best in Boston! Custom Salads are delicious and you get high quality ingredients made exactly the way you want! SOUPS are amazing, really delicious and as good as homemade! Soup or Salad comes with fresh bread if you want it. Clean, bright and KOSHER.
I used to frequent the place in 2008-9 while travelling for work to Boston. Since then they renovated, added meat selections, and became a micro food court of sorts. To sum it up, they went from good to awesome: I gave the place 5 star review, but in my book 6 or 7 stars would be fair. The only shortcoming I could find is they close early, 3 pm in the winter, but I guess there is not enough business in the heart of business district in the evenings. The food is delicious and is of the highest freshness and quality. The variety is assured by menu rotation, and I can attest that coming a few days in a row. The staff is friendly, helpful, and very accommodating. The prices are fair and reasonable, especially given the serving sizes. And the matzo ball soup I had there today was fantastic, just like beef tacos!
Delicious food, amazing variation. Meat side, dairy side. Great pastries..
This a lovely place with great coffee and great service. They have a full menu with all types of goodies. Great place you have to give them a try you will not regret it.
Fantastic with amazing prices
Great place to eat. They serve breakfast/lunch/brunch so if you want to eat kosher and stay in the heart of Boston this is perfect. They have three different counters for meat, dairy and vegetarian so there's a lot of meal options. Quality is great, staff is friendly. Lots of places to sit and great view on the street where the business people roam.
Could have helped us if they had some really simple kid oriented food. The owner was nice
Great food
Coffee isn't great, location is amazing and well designed, nice place to hang out
Must visit and enjoy the variety of well-prepared foods! And the nice atmosphere of relaxed dining.
Excellent coffee. Bagel was pretty good too
This is a happening place. It's the only kosher spot I can think of that serves both meat and dairy (from different counters so it's acceptable). The options are extremely plentiful, and there's so much to try. The place is very busy during lunch and closes early, but if you are in Boston, this is the place to go again and again especially if you keep kosher.
Last time I was here it was 1994 so it's been a while! The food and service are fast and efficient. Salads, soups and sandwiches are most common, great for lunch. Prices are reasonable given the location. Tables are kind of close together
Very tasty for those who keep kosher or those who don't!
Went there for lunch and chicken was raw. Call them and a lady pick up, said the manger was busy and would call back. He didn't call, so I went back after 3 hours of waiting and then I got a refund. They attempt to make it up but it was too late.
Good place to have morning coffee, plenty of options with milk.
The food is hot and fresh and prepared daily. The soups are frikkin delicious! Never had a bad experience. And the meals are Kosher.
My company gets catering from Milk Street very often, and everything is delicious and fresh. The sandwiches and soups are great, especially the Tomato, and so are the desserts.
Fast service, good latte, plenty of seating.
The breakfast sandwiches and coffee here are great. However, on two occasions, the baristas have forgotten to include sandwich order, although they dealt with the issue efficiently and kindly.
Awesome kosher eatery. Has meat and dairy sides. Great prices and food.
Great cafeteria-style dining, high quality and good price. It's a bonus that it's all kosher, but it seems like it's popular with the general business crowd, not just observant Jews. The sushi counter was very accommodating to my seafood allergy and made me a fresh vegetable roll with clean utensils - I really appreciated that
Kielbasa special was delicious, finished off with the always delightful chocolate peanut butter bar
I absolutely loved the food and there were many great options!
cafe food and the atmosphere at this spot is very good. I will be back with my friends.
We had breakfast here during our stay. Excellent food and service. Highly recommended
Awesome place to eat! Not only was it a really nice atmosphere, the food was great. Probably one of the best broccoli cheddar soups I've ever had, and especially on a cold day it really hit the spot. The service was friendly, I even spoke to the chef himself for a few minutes who incredibly approachable as well. Overall, good service, great food, and a great place to eat.
I use them to order catering for my company all the time, especially breakfast. They always come on time and their food is great. I especially love their orange juice, it tastes so fresh!
Great kosher food in Boston
Some things are excellent, like the berry yogurt parfait, coffee, and soups. Other things are just ok. Sandwiches are so so, hot entrees are often overcooked. The ingredients are high quality, kosher, and the way the place is set up is kosher.
Soups, Sushi, and Bagels have been very good. However coffee choice is unfortunately Ethiopian only and has the flavor profile. I do not like Ethiopian coffee and they don't have other options, nor do they have Equal sweetner. I'd buy coffee more frequently there if they had a smoother coffee option, like something from Central America. Lastly, the cost is exceedingly reasonable for the quality of food and environment.
Great food! It's in a rather small place and it gets a bit confusing trying to figure out what the various lines are for, and it's expensive (which makes sense for the location), but the food is so good that it's all worthwhile.
With very few kosher options in the metro Boston area and none other than this in the city proper you can get a meal that suffers from being a product of a monopoly. Staff are nice. Place is packed arubch hour so if you can go early or late. Unusually, for a kosher restaurant, both meat and dairy are available. They also have sushi - caveat emptor - it's not a sushi restaurant.
Could have been a good idea but the flavors were off. Sausage too salty, Brussels sprouts almost vinegary. When the best part of your meal is the white rice you know you are in trouble. No recycling either. All the containers and the food mixed up. Lots of waste
Excellent food selection
The food and service is fantastic. I highly recommend trying their soups and the price for the food is amazing.
Has tons of delicious menu options, and you can get in and out quickly. Really nice staff too!
Great cafe. Good prices, great food, nice staff
Lovely place to visit with good food. We were served today by Joanne & Keeya who were most charming.
Fresh food Everything is quality Soups/lemonade /etc
great place to get lunch with clients, coworkers or friends. Multiple food options.
Great family lunch spot
Verry nice people, very expressive!
Excellent kosher deli and takeaway. Meat and milk options
Excellent food.
Good place for healthy breakfast and lunch
Incredible place with kosher and really healthy and substantial food options. If you love salads, this is your place. You have tons of options for the components, right down to which types of greens to include, and they make it to order. It's pricey, but you're paying for quality food. Worth it!
