REVIEWS OF Main Streets Market & Cafe IN Massachusetts

Nancy Eubanks

Good food for three hungry visitors to Concord. My son announced that their seafood mac and cheese was superior to what he enjoyed in Gloucester. I'd say that is quite a compliment! My Cape Cod chicken salad was generous, and my husband's meatball sandwich rocked. Lovely experience.

Elizabeth Poissant

This place is a gem! A casual dining establishment with a menu that offers something for everyone! Staff at the restaurant reported that many of the vegetables in the dishes served are grown, locally, in the business owner's garden. Serving size was large and food was fresh and delicious. Will return again and again.

JOHN J Lopedota

Very nice people. I am stuck here with oversize load sitting on side of street walked down into town. Girl at counter kept an eye on my dog out side when I was the rest room. Coffee is excellent.

Stephen Smith

The food was OK. This place has an amazing selection of desserts which is why you should come here. Please note, they have a Boston cream pie but it doesn’t have custard. Instead it’s more of a whipped cream which to me made it not a Boston cream pie. It was also very laid-back and slow server environment. Don’t get me wrong, our server was fantastic but with kids we didn’t want to be there forever. The building is really neat. It is around 350 years old and used to be a grocery store. It has stayed in the family and is now a restaurant. It was lots of fun to eat there.

Cory Moyer

Had lunch a few times here now. It's almost a low-key diner kind of spot but it manages to feel classier without losing the warm, down home vibe. Breakfast until noon, so I love getting breakfast burritos for lunch. Quality is great for the price, I've never left less than satisfied!

tammy werthem

So sweet

Maddie Conway

Friendly, quick service. Delicious breakfast. Really cute & cozy atmosphere. I had a great experience here and would come back again soon! Next time I will take home some of their delicious looking baked goods!

Paul May

Food is good but dont ever expect to enjoy sitting unless you have 3 hours!!

Kimberly Rowan

Normally I would have given this place a higher rating but the last time I was here the service was terrible and the food wasn't great. I was pretty disappointed because I had brought my parents here from out of town.

RobB Edtech

Great Malibu tacos, cheese tater tots w/bacon, chicken panini, baked brie, n unusual Great Dane on a bike

Erick Rivera

Went with the family on a day trip from Boston....It was a Nice place, nice atmosphere. I had the nachos. The waiters are very nice....I was not a big fan of the chili because I felt it was kinda sweet for me but hey, different places make chili different so...Nachos were bomb.

Peter Barrera

Great place. Live music. Awesome food. Friendly staff. What more could we also for?

Lisa Savini

Great little place in a cute, upscale Old Yankee town. My friends and I visit for a late lunch after seeing whatever is new so the De Cordova museum. The staff run this busy Cafe like a well oiled machine. Once you are seated at your table or the bar/counter you can relax and take your time. The food is imaginative pub food, already really well prepared. Excellent salads, fish tacos, all kinds of burgers and sandwiches, hot, crispy fries! And the have a sandwich take away counter at the front. Full bar and good draft beer selections with a friendly barkeep, who must have several hidden arms somewhere. She's a wonder!

A Hoyt

This is a cute spot with some good offerings, but it seemed like the staff was pretty disorganized. Our food took an excessively long time to arrive. We were given free dessert to compensate for the wait, but it was disappointing nonetheless.

Daniel Reichwein

Live music, delicious food and great service. Portion size was generous and our waitress was great. Cozy, neighborhood diner type of atmosphere.

Katie Kimbrell

Too much $

Diamond Team

Great food. Good atmosphere.

Andrew Morrish

Great brunch of English muffin, scraping of avocado (guess we were quite late!) with eggs, hollandaise and potatoes. Service was sort of friendly and fast. Place was very popular.

Paula Geddes

Best cornbread and crabcakes we have ever had!! Awesome clam chowder too!!

Stephen Graham

Great stuff. Had a fun time.

Agatha Andrew

Nice place for an informal meal and catching up with friends. The staff were friendly and attentive. Nothing special about the food.

Adina Gvili

This was a great restaurant. The waitstaff was so polite and patient. The food was a little cold but well made. The potatoes were delicious and the eggs were made perfectly.

Norman M.

Nice restaurant with local touch.

Andrew Moore MOORE

Food was outstanding. It's worth the wait when it's busy.

Lena Marshall

3 stars for location. Food was nothing special, service nothing special. If you are looking for a nice relaxing atmosphere, this is not the place for you. If you are sitting in the front section, people are coming in to place take out order, if you are sitting in the back, people constantly are going to use bathrooms. Especially in the mornings, it's a spot for cyclists to stop for a coffee and bathroom break.

clint boisel

Great food in a great location. Lots to see

Christina

Really friendly staff. The food was also quite tasty. I especially enjoyed the clam chowder, although it is filling so, be warned!

LUIS H

Order Mac& cheese w pork (almost no pork)

John Moran

One meal, meat loaf, came out raw had to recook. Disappointed in my small wedge salad. Seafood risotto excellent. Chilli was very good. Price was very reasonable. Wait for a Saturday night was too bad.

Alan Henderson

Pretty good food. Super busy sometimes, and service suffers as a result. They have some outdoor seating too but they don't serve alcohol out there currently.

Lauren Neugebauer

To be fair, it's Sat at 12:30, but they said it would be 10 min to seat our party of 7 and it's been an hour. And we are seated 2, 2, and 3. They just keep seating twos so they never have room for 7 together. Crazy. The food better be killer good.

Jamie Metcalfe

Good draft beer selection

Ruby Fink

The place was packed but it wasn't without reason. The staff was quick and efficient, and the food was delicious. (I'd highly recommend the pork and hash, it was greasy but very tasty).

Dave Hines

Wonderful. Good food, great wait staff, good music

Merce Gasco

Excellent food and great service. Great advice on the menu

Christopher Dee

Atmosphere was good.Food was good. Service was very good. Its open later than the shops in the area and it's Concord mass old part of town. Which I think is beautiful. I grew up there with my grandparents and I've always enjoyed going there. Its clean and nice downtown always. This time of the year it's just Cold. But that's new England for ya. The other shops are awesome hand crafted pieces etc Things you don't usually find at your every day store

Robert Achtmeyer

Busy and crowded. Concord needs more of these places. Food was good and service was prompt. You can take the buzzer they give you and walk around the downtown area, so putting you name in isn't a hardship. Great meal too!

Yohana Olaya

Good place to eat. Took me so long to get out cause any waitress was not around for the payment

Margarita Rodriguez

The food at this place is amazing! My coworkers and I ordered and we loved everything! Good size portions as well and very reasonably priced for the area.

Jess C

2.5-3 star: Came on an early Sunday morning (8/25/2019). Server didn't place our order correctly. Ordered two fried eggs but only one came. Home fries were cold when it was served. One of the home fries was upgraded to their special version but regular home fries were served instead. The place wasn't busy at that time. Only three table (8 adult guests) and the place has opened for about an hour when we got there. Service was slow too. It was a disappointing experience.

Steven Fischer

Exceptional food service and environment. From the minute we walked in the door to the minute we left everyone was helpful, considerate, accommodating and thoughtful. It was like visiting family only with lots of other relatives I didn't know surrounding us.

Thomas Perry

Love this place. Great music nearly every evening, great food. Been going here for years

Larry Lewis

Had the fish(Haddock) really good. Good atmosphere. Onion rings very tasty.

Ted McMichael

The food is good. The staff are very busy with lots of customers. Be prepared to wait for seating at busy times of day. The atmosphere is somewhat hectic, so do not expect a relaxed lunch or speedy service.

Brian Fong-Murdock

Good food. Great atmosphere. Cozy and rustic. Live music is good. Average beer selection.

Sa Lee

Have eaten here several times and all meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, after dinner). Staff and food are good. Good craft beer selection. The same bartender has been there every time and she is great, has the patience of a saint. They have good live music as well.

Kyle Stein

Tried to make an order and was ignored for a good 10 minutes just standing near the counter. Food took forever. Won't be back.

John H

Excellent food with great service

Meghan Bacik

Loved it!! Veggie grilled cheese was so so good!

Holli Jones-White

Great neighborhood place for coffee, tea, lunch, dinner, or drinks. It can be crowded at meal times. It can also be quite noisy in the front of the restaurant. Go to the back near the bar, it's much quieter. Best dishes there is the beef and butternut squash chili. Watermelon, blueberry, and blue cheese salad is excellent, too.

Everett Harman

A cafe with character - kind of woody and old New England. The menu is interesting and diverse. The dishes I've tried have been quite good. The prices are a bit high for lunch, but that's Concord. A burger and fries is $14, but it's good. The fish and chips is $18 is great tasting and ample.

Rodrigo C

Lots of live music on the weekends. Great variety of menu, from burgers to seafood. Can't vouch for seafood because I haven't tried it but the burgers and the chicken is great. A bit pricey, but average compared to the zone.

Narn Rojvachiranonda

The food is absolutely amazing, the staff are friendly, and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant is pretty nice, as the place is sort of old-town style. The Angus beef Mac and cheese that I had was amazing.

Life Sensing Health

Great service, delicious food, & pleasant atmosphere make this place special. Took my Mom to lunch & she had a burger with fries. I ate a huge salad.

Cecelia CHANDLER

Portuguese seafood stew was incredible!!!

Kathy Short

Great food and service

Steve Warner

We visited here for breakfast. The food was very good. I had the veggie scramble. Very fresh and filling. We had a our daughter with us, and the staff were very helpful and understanding when she desired to run around the place. The coffee was very good, and they even gave me an extra cup to go. The fruit was fresh. The french toast was also very good. The cornbread was amazing. I noticed a very good selection of local beers on tap, but I did not try any of those. The price was reasonable. Service was excellent.

Nancy Humphrey

We frequent this place often because the staff accommodates every nutrition request. The food and service are beyond high standards. Quaint ambiance with diverse menu options please all!!!

heidi soko

Great service good variety of food.and delicious corn bread yum.

Peter O

So glad I discovered this recently. Live music, great atmosphere. I walked in late after the kitchen was closed and they re-opened it to make an order of chicken & fries. If I lived closer I'd be a regular.

Ron Cater

Quality the food is great. Strawberry smoothie exceptionally good.

Jerry Loew

Fun place and great elcectic food. Something for everyone.

Daniel Call

This is a great casual restaurant with a lot of unusual and creative foid options. The food was good enough that we would come back to try more creative dishes. A pulled pork mac & cheese sandwich, for example. They have a Coke Freestyle machine for your soda. They had a small cover band playing the night we went. That was a great touch.

Gregory Merchel

Service was really bad. Lots of reviews say the same thing, it’s busy but it it took 25 minutes to get our coffee and waters. Food was underwhelming, was not bad but nothing spectacular. Açaí bowl was a bit sweet, eggs Benedict were okay and the pancake was good.

Pat Glynn

Nice local eatery in downtown Concord. Outdoor eating in the shade of an alley. Wine and beer, flat breads , salads, sandwiches, burgers and specials. Wait staff was wonderful.

Yolanda Muñoz

Very busy, staff did their best to attend everyone. They work as a team which is appreciated. Great food at a good price. Plenty of seating. Great menu options. Plenty of meter parking.

Thomas Cejka

Nice setting.. Lobster roll not to my liking!

Kristel Fuller

Very good food and waitstaff. Great place to relax and grab a beer or beverage of your choice.

Ellis Seul

Amazing café/restaurant right in the centre of Concord. Came here after visiting nearby Concord Academy, and I have to say that the long wait is completely worth it. I would recommend the rice bowl, a delicious twist on classic Asian food.

LAURA MARTIN

Best cakes ever! Delicious hot chocolate. High prices.

Marylene Ruiz

Yummy food and good service. Always super busy and takes a while to sit down. I tried the crab cake burger. So good. The boyfriend had the pork belly tacos..He said they were delicious. I will definitely go back when I visit the area again.

Scott Dyer

Charming and friendly, a great place to get breakfast , lunch, dinner or grab a drink and relax.

Valerie Fallon

Great breakfast place caters to gluten free

Mike Criss

Not the friendliest waitress but food was good, had the veggie and egg bowl

Sheri Rex

Love the atmosphere and the variety of great food and desserts. Live music is a bonus on certain evenings! Worth a trip to experience this concord restraunt!

JM Phillips

Worth paying extra for the fresh local ingredients.

Mary-Jo Bedsworth

This restaurant was recommended to us. While in Concord, we ate dinner there twice, then stopped in to pick up dessert to take back to hotel. Great staff, super food, highly recommend.

Christopher Murphy

Fun place to grab a lunch among locals as well as tourists.

Chris Layland

Tonight's dinner was absolutely perfect! All six of us loved our fare and the people were so gracious. . HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Hagen Cramer

Nice for a quick bite. I liked the salad but the panini was only average.

Afshin Bozorgzadeh

If you're sitting outside, you will have a very slow service

Elisha Angeles

Breakfast is fantastic. Where else can you get warmed apple crisp with your omelette?!? Lunch and dinner are great as well. This place has the best lattes around! Only wish they gave the option of breakfast all day.

Jim McComas

It's a great pit stop biking. The food is tasty and the ice cream is a winner. Comfy seating inside and out, and a bike rack. Becoming a regular stop for a break, water and ice! The design is relaxing.

Gary Habegger

Great location in town! The best ever ha clam chowder and it is home made at the restaurant! Good, fast service. Lots of locals frequent here! It can get crowded but that is good sign!

Eric Beeson

Our favorite local place. The staff are like home town friends we love to chat with. Great breakfasts, fish tacos and roast beef is my favorite at dinner.

Eric Samuels

This place was great. Our son was a screaming terror but we were treated so nicely and had such a good time. Food was very tasty!

Katie Ginney

Great food and finds within, we were recommended to go here for dinner from the local police force, steak tips and Caesar salad was bomb, whatever you do ask for the cornbread, it's amazing and some of the best I've had compared to our Kansas City BBQ tour!

OfficialShawnBurke

Went to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. The owner overheard us talking about it and gave us a Dessert on the house. Staff was friendly, the decor is great. Can't wait to go back for dinner because the menu look so good. We'll worth the trip.

Kevin Murphy

Great healthy delicious food. Fun vibe. Little pricey.

Dan Svenson

Cute little place. We were here for breakfast that was really good.

Frances Alcinda Rosenzweig

In downtown Concord, take time for breakfast, lunch, and or snack here in Main Streets. There are so many good choices of sandwiches, chowder, salads and more. Their bake goods are so delicious. I love having an afternoon piece of Key lime pie. They also have live music to enjoy. The food is prepared so well.

Tina Panek

Waitress was rude. I asked if I could have fruit also with my meal. I didn't mind paying extra. She didn't add to order. We only saw her when she took our order, brought our drinks and meal and check. Not once did she come by to ask if we needed anything else or how the food was. Food was great not the service. She is lucky my husband left her a 2 dollar tip. We would have tipped generously, but bad service

Paul Brown

My family's favorite local place. Cafe by day, bar/restaurant by night with live music. Not especially spacious inside and popular enough that I would recommend reservations. Good and changing menu with Massachusetts seasons in mind. Bar service. And cup-cakes. Ask about the cup-cakes!

Shari Horan

My "go-to" place for a fun, delicioius dining experiencce

Stephanie Fagan

I love it here. Great service, great food.

Alex Fadeev

Nice, quaint pub with good food, fresh beer, and live bands playing on weekend nights. Nice atmosphere. Good burgers, sandwiches, pizzas. Avoid the canolis (stale).

deeceehawk

This is a very busy place, and a beautifully nostalgic part of Massachusetts. Historic, and elegant. A very warm atmosphere and highly knowledgeable Bartender. We come here for any meal of the day, have been several times. Always good stuff. Flatbreads, salads, great beer, . The waitstaff as well as the bar staff are very friendly, very fast, very efficient. No matter what time of day (breakfast, lunch, dinner ) each meal is served well and quickly. Always coming here!

Andrew Stockwell-Alpert

My wife and I have been going to Main St., Café for years… At all times in the afternoon and night. We have eaten many many many dinners there over the years as well. Probably the best dinner that we have ever had was the chicken tikka masala that we had on Valentine’s Day night. It was perfect. It may have been the best that we have ever had and we have had plenty. I have grown up on Indian food over the years. My wife has grown to love it as well. This is a very very well done version of this meal and anybody who thinks it was too spicy should recognize that that is what you’re getting when you order Indian food and not make comments to try to change management’s idea about how to cook an otherwise perfectly cooked meal. It was splendid.

Jason Swann

We decided on the spot to eat here. The seating hostess/waitress me toned the two events that same night, and that reservations were booked 2.5 hours out. She suggested we good our food "to go" and sit in the enclosed patio off the back, offering to serve our family the same as if we were in the main part of the restaurant. The food was great, the service was excellent, and the 8 person patio space was quiet and quaint adding to the ambiance. We felt taken care of and appreciated for it being so busy and booked out. High praise.

Lupe Mahoney

Quick service, great food!

Steffen Roegner

Tasty! Hash and eggs plus a serving of beignets to share

Jamie MacLennan

Great GF options - very friendly

Mark Boffa

I had the grilled mac and cheese with pulled pork, which was delicious. The fries we're decent, but the sandwich was definitely the highlight of the meal.

Alexandra Urban

Solid cafe option in downtown Concord! Coffee stuff is all fine, but would especially recommend their homemade Italian sodas and blended smoothies (especially the Piña Colada one!). They have yummy cookies (pro tip: oatmeal cran) and as expected meal options. Good sandwiches, warm & cold. Beware: very hard to find seating during peak times but hard to discount a place for being too popular - if weather if nice, I suggest ordering take away food and making picnic in historic downtown Concord center!

Henry Danico

Greate market. Only down side is from the front you really don't know how nice it is by the outside. The outside from the front you can't tell what's happening inside. The back you get a better idea. So it is a market with a bar countertop for sandwiches, bakery with cupcakes, all looking great. A butcher with some great looking steaks. So if you're not from the area you might miss a great place. If you live near by your lucky to have this place.

kaylin tex

The fish and chips was delicious!! They also have good bakery items for sale!! Nice cozy little place

Charles Shapley

Good but they added$10 to our$17 breakfast saying the gf bread was$2 more/ person and substituting fruit for potatoes was another$2/ person somehow totalling $27 and all this wo mentioning a word about the upcharge. Other than that it was pretty good...

Haifa AlDekhayel

We chose this Small local cafe by coincidence , we actually wanted Helen’s cafe, it was closed though because it’s thanksgiving day,it has many breakfast options , we ordered the Avocado toast special and garden omelette both were exceptional ! The service was good too.

Elizabeth Barron

The fish tacos are great!

Will Miller

Large portions. Great server. Busy place. Asked us to move on when other patrons waiting.

Jonathan Holland

Solid breakfast. Prices are slightly higher than a dinner but the food is very good. Would return again!

Rishabh Sardana

Great food and atmosphere. Have had mixed experiences with the staff - some super friendly and some not so. Overall, great place.

dotty sabio

I live out of state and contacted Main Streets Market & Cafe to purchase a Gift Card. I have never been to this restaurant, but if the smooth transaction of my purchase, and the outstanding customer service from the manager are a reflection of their business practices, then I would not hesitate to patronize! Janice, the manager, was so helpful, patient, and professional. She offered a variety of options in order to get the gift card to my recipient. One of which included personally delivering it herself. That alone speaks volumes for remarkable customer service! I can understand why my recipient speaks so highly of this restaurant.

Thomas Amoroso

Tasty food in an atmosphere which is the right blend of old colonial and modern convenience. Located in downtown Concord, close to other shopping, especially local antique consignment shops!

Daniel Kaplan

Excellent breakfast food and atmosphere

scott bancroft

The pulled pork mac and cheese was sinfully good. Great staff that makes you feel like you are one of the locals. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Trisha Hunt

Vegan, gluten free choices, varied menu with tons of interesting and unique dishes. Great spot, excellent service. Worth the ride!

Robert Sage

Extensive menu, good food and service.

James Doyle

Casual dining with a menu focused on comfort food. Located in the heart of Concord. Popular with tourists and locals alike. It has the "place where everybody knows your name" feel. Friendly, professional service.

Josh Steimle

Service was great. Had the breakfast burrito. Not the best I've had (gotta go to California/Texas/etc for that), but very satisfactory and reasonably priced for the Boston area.

Elaine D

I've been coming here for years since my son was an infant. The folks working here are always friendly and welcoming. It is a treat to stop by for lunch.

Matt Dibb

Tasty food with a wide assortment of pub favorites. Attentive service, convenient location, neighborhood feel, and great live music!

Joseph Kennedy

Refused to sell me alcohol because of out of state license which is ridiculous. Took so long to make my order I almost left

John G

Everyone enjoyed their dinner here, including my 8 year old. Casual and comfortable place with reasonably priced options for all.

John Parks

Food and service was great, the live music made the night even better

Douglas Johnson

Busy restaurant on Main Street in Concord. I lunch about eight years ago and made I a point to do so again next time I was in Boston. It didn't disappoint. Great lunches. I highly recommend as a go to place for lunch.

Joe Sestrich

We liked the variety on the menu. Buffalo cauliflower, shrimp bowl, sandwiches, all good. And a nice selection of draughts.

Richard Thomas

Very friendly bike stop, great food and ice coffee.

Kelly Norris

CORN BREAD. That's all. :)

Jim Mig

Enjoyed it! Had the clam chowder & a Rubin sandwich.. Good food, and service...

Martha Van Winkle

Great breakfast, cute cafe.

Kaveh Zehtab

Nice little cafe with good food and drinks. Love it

Emily Hawkins

Absolutely love this place! I come with my family all the time. There always something for everyone. They even have great gluten free options. The cafe is always kept nice and clean and the bathrooms are even handicap accessible. They also have lovely outdoor seating for nicer days.

Anne Awad

Excellent waitperson, on top of things.

Joe LaVita

Excellent food especially the crab avocado tostada. Friendly service. Great casual spot for lunch or dinner.

Ray Hayes

This place is great! My first trip to Boston and we took a side trip out to Concord. While there we made a linch stop at the Main street Market Cafe. I ordered a burger, my wife ordered a mac and cheese w/lobster, and our son ordered a pizza. The pizza was a personal size and our son really enjoyed it. My wife couldn't stop talking about how good her sandwich was and my burger was fabulous! I highly recommend this place to anyone, My Road Tours.

Steven Fennessy

The coffee is always freshly brewed no matter the time of day. My favourite menu item is the barbecued pulled pork with macaroni and cheese sandwich served with French fries or potato chips. There are tables inside and outside for eating and a river that runs behind the picnic tables at the rear of the restaurant. The service is always excellent and the staff is very friendly.

Ron B

Good food. Sometimes a bit cold .

Jean Mayo

Wonderful varied menu and very popular.

Elise Bon-Rudin EdD

Turkey, cranberry, mayo, lettuce wrap was tasteless - except for the mayo and lettuce. For $13+ this was the most expensive mayo and lettuce I've had.

Laura Louder

Brussel sprout appetizer was awwsome!

Kyle Jones

More than just a market. American comfort food with some good open mic action. Quick service even though they were packed full. If open mic isn't your thing, go on another night and get some good comfort food like meatloaf. Seriously meatloaf. They also have baked goods, coffee, and beer.

some guy

It's different. Different but good. You feel like it's run by your sisters in a way. Love the decor as well.

Vincent Sabio

We loved this place! The food is terrific, the service is REALLY friendly, food came out reasonably quickly even though we were there during a very busy time, and the menu is so good we had difficulty settling on something. The atmosphere is wonderful -- very small-townish (well, it's a small town, so...), and even though it was busy, we didn't feel rushed at all. The only downside is that it's a little bit pricey for lunch -- but everything else was so great that we gave them 5 stars, anyway.

Brad Hargreaves

Had late bfast with my wife and it was a great experience. Food was excellent as well as Eddie our waiter. Highly recommend if u r in the area!!!

Alexandra Kaplan

Such a cute place with really delicious fresh food. Got the crab cake Benny and lovvved it.

Robert Emery

Great sandwiches. Not sure why they took do long to make them

Alyssa Whitson

Wonderful food, best I had during my trip to Boston! The food came out quickly, the service was friendly and kind, and I did not leave unsatisfied! So delicious!!! Highly recommend

Quadrillion01

Some unique food combinations. Everything was good, although the beef chili with butternut squash had a little too much meat.

3 Strikes – 3 different visits over 3 different seasons at 3 different times for 3 different meals – all failures I make it a point to support independent businesses whenever I can. Unfortunately, Main Streets isn’t worth it. Now I know what other residents have been complaining about. My recent experiences at Main Streets have been horrible. The only bright spot is if you sit at the bar. The bartender is great. She is polite, competent, efficient, and pleasant – all the things her colleagues aren’t. My family and I will be avoiding Main Streets and I suggest you do the same. There are other more worthy restaurants in town who appreciate their customers. My most 3 most recent experiences are below. July 2019 – Strike 3 - Given my previous bad experiences dining here for lunch and dinner (see below), I decided to try Main Streets one last time by ordering take out. This was another failure. I called my order in and was told it would be ready in 10-20 minutes. I arrived 18 minutes later. My order hadn’t even been put it. The staff offered to put my order in and have it rushed. I declined. The last thing I wanted was rushed, ill-prepared food and to wait another 20 minutes. May 2019 – Strike 2 – I was meeting a colleague at Main Streets for a quick business lunch. I arrived early to get a table so we could get in and get out. Even though there was plenty of room in the dining room, the waitress didn’t want to seat us. She wanted to put us in the burrito bar. Having been to the burrito bar previously, I didn’t want to sit there again. It’s not a conducive setting for a business/nice lunch. After discussing this for some time with the waitress, I finally pointed out that my colleague and I would be eating for the same amount of time, 1 hour, as most of their other patrons. So, what was the problem with sitting in the dining room, especially since there was plenty of space? March 2019 – Strike 1 - Three other dads and I went to Main Streets for a beer at 8:45 PM. There was plenty of space available, so we picked a table for 4 in the bar area. The waitress came over and asked what we wanted to eat. We told her we only wanted beers. She told us that even though there was only 15 minutes before the kitchen closed and even though there was plenty of empty tables, all of the tables were only for patrons ordering food. We said okay, we’ll look at the menu. We ordered 4 beers. When she came back, we told her we’d like the nachos. She rudely said, “Is that all?” Since we didn’t even want the nachos and we ordered them just to pacify her, we told her we didn’t want anything else. She again mentioned that these tables were only for dinner and stormed off. After this rudeness, we each had our beer and left.

Kathleen Koechling

Good food, good location in downtown Concord, reasonably priced and a fun place to meet.

Tom Kennedy

Great Patti Melt and fries

Ralph N

Food was okay and atmosphere was great. Had the fish and chips which was a bit overpriced and not memorable, but I would come back again given the state of restaurants in concord area.

Candice Seplow

Small and quaint. Bartender was extremely friendly and able to handle a full bar with exceptional service on delivery of drinks and greeting guests. I went on a Sunday night and they had a live local band playing so it was pretty packed. The band playing was acoustically pleasing to my ears and sounded great.

Mike Sudz

Unique food items, always tasty

Sean C.

Great place to stop and eat. Not a ton of restaurants near by too choose from but this one is genuinely good! Nice outdoor seating

Glenn Crawford

Must order the clam chowder to die for.great sandwiches and salad. Large selection of Italian Sodas. Great atmosphere, good crew. A must stop in.
