At the moment this business gets a score of 4.4 out of 5 and the rating is based on 274 reviews.
As you can see the average of ratings that it reaches is good, and it is based on a very high number of feddbacks, so we can say that the score is very accurate. If there are many people who bothered to rate when they've done well, it works.
You know that we don't usually stop to set scores when they are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Coffee Shop belongs to the category of Coffee shop.
The aesthetic are very appealing. Tried an espresso drink as well as drip. Compared to other good coffee houses I’ve been to, this place has very light underwhelming flavors. This place seems more focused on branding than craft coffee. Good for needing a quick cup, bad for a coffee nerd.
Great light nosh, great espresso drinks
Great place to go to get some work done while enjoying good coffee and snacks.
Noisy and expensive
Near BC, great coffee, ample and unique food.
Great local spot with friendly service and good coffee and food options. Be mindful of the day/time you come though as it can be crowded when Boston College is in session. There's plenty of seating although not every area has a place to plug in. Free WiFi though and a generally good environment to do work.
Very nice hot and cold drinks.
Great spot, the coffee is the best I've found in Boston.
Good study spot. Expensive, but all coffee, food, and tea are delicious.
A great place to drink, study and chat.
Good coffee shop to set up and study
Great atmosphere, awesome coffee, friendly staff, and free almond milk!
Excellent neighborhood coffee shop. High quality single cup brews, ample space to sit and work, good Wi-Fi and a friendly atmosphere.
FRESH-PRESSED signature juice blends of fruits, vegetables and spices. You'll enjoy a variety of refreshing and energizing options, including Green Machine, Energy Grove, Purple Heat, Clean Sweep, Aloha Breeze & Zen Garden along with our 100% fresh-squeezed orange juice - pressed on premise.
Nice cafe with great drinks and VERY limited free parking spots
Dark, all with headphones, all students, don't anticipate conversation or friendly faces. Okay coffee, there's better.
Awesome study spot for BC students. Food is overpriced for what it is, but the specials are good. The west coast is my favorite (add turkey to it)
I went there on a Tuesday afternoon with my 7 months baby, because this is one of the very few coffee places in the area. I was a little worried because I had read in several reviews that it gets too crowded and the music is too loud but I still wanted to give it a try. There was no music at all and a nice and quiet atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing coffee or lunch and also great for people who go there to work with their laptops. I guess it gets really crowded only during the weekend. The space is really big and beautiful in its industrial style. I only went there for a coffee and they have a good pour over coffee selection. I’ll go back for sure!
Good latte
Good coffee. Their treats go on sale after about 4 pm. Plenty of seating and it's a nice atmosphere but definitely crowded with BC students camping out. Lots of fruit flies by the register.
Great coffee and fast service. Lots of seating, but it's a destination for people looking for a place to study so it fills up quick.
Nice local place to grab a cup of coffee at.
Cappuccino is good here!
I like it, the proper cafe feel with it's own character and not a carbon copy of the basic recipe. An American post modern theme, versus Nero's Classic Italian. Much better food selection than chain cafes.
It's a cool place with great coffee and a cool decor
Fuel America is a cafe and eatery with a large menu that can ignite your "getting to work" or "oh snap, I need alone time on my laptop to cram for this midterm" motors roaring on all cylinders. No "fueling"! Get it? My go to is their hot coffee and a breakfast sandwich; egg and cheese add bacon on ciabatta. **Be warned** Sandwich ONLY plus $1 tip is $7.06.
Great inexpensive place to do work. Must try the sandwiches.
Tasty as explitives, really cool drink selection too
USED to be my favorite place for studying and meeting people. THE food and drinks, service and ambience is great. espresso drinks are awesome. The only problem with it now is that it is too crowded. With BC students hanging there all the time it is impossible to use the location for studying anymore. Especially on Sundays it is crazy. Also, food is decent but too expensive.
Good coffee. Good food. A great place to hang or study
Really neat vibe. Just far away from BC to feel cool and not overrun with undergrads.
Great atmosphere, reasonable prices, and good place to study or just catch up with a friend.
Food was delicious, though a little pricy
Very clean great space with a lot of selection for teas, coffees, and house made smoothies and juices
Really chic, definitely a hot study spot.
I like the atmosphere (large and sunny), the coffee is strong, the prices are excellent, staff are helpful and nice. There is free wifi.
I've been going to Fuel periodically for 5 years. It's not bad... I just don't think it's that good. The aesthetic is very industrial/PNW, the service is excellent, the sandwiches are good. The place is always filled and everyone I know loves it. But in my opinion, the coffee (especially the espresso) always tastes sour & is probably over-extracted. I'll go to Fuel for anything... but the coffee.
Most everything about this place is awesome, atmosphere, drinks, pastries. My one thing is the fake eggs, kills it a little for me. Still not stopping me from being a regular.
Very cozy and modern cafe with big windows for views of Chestnut Hill Ave or if you're into something a little darker, make your way to the back of the cafe where the dark wood will absorb the light allowing you to crawl into your book, studying, game, or hobby. Music is always on point. The food is always super fresh and the drinks are super creative! Just a heads up, the coffee is strong and piping hot! With a name like Fuel America, I wouldn't have it any other way.
Nice place with good coffee.
Great place for coffee. Sand which and toast options are solid. $1 pastries after 4pm are always good
Cute spot Brighton. Can't imagine a nicer surprise next to an outpost Cumberland Farms than this really decent coffee place. They had a deal on two bags of coffee, but I only needed one, and they were super sweet to me and gave me a cup of coffee on the house.
Fuel has good coffee and the breakfast sandwiches are pretty good. Friendly staff.
Nice place very friendly. The coffee as no body, very mild, Food, ok, nothing special
Amazing food, educated atmosphere.
After moving to Brighton a year ago - this has become my favorite breakfast spot. They have healthy meals, fresh pressed juices, smoothies and a great selection of coffee from all over the world. Everyone is super helpful and service is fast. I hope this place never goes away!
My go to place for coffee. Great drinks, delicious food ranging from bites to full meal, and great atmosphere with friendly staff.
A lovely selection of coffees, espresso, and other caffeinated beverages. Not to mention their sandwiches.
Fresh and tasty bites
The farmer's omelette sandwich is delicious, the omelette is the fluffiest I've ever had and the sriracha mayo complements it perfectly. Though they forgot to add it the last time I ordered it. I missed you, my yummy Sriracha mayo. Also, the sandwich comes with ham and the staff is amazing enough to substitute it for me for something vegetarian at no extra cost. Like, who does that?! I've always heard, if you want to substitute, it'll cost extra. I hope other places take inspiration and follow suit. They have a lot of cool varieties of lattes on their specials board. The tiramisu, raspberry, PB and J, etc. But they make all of them with artificial syrups. Why, Fuel? I'm sure you can do better. I had the cinnamon honey which was quite good (this is actually made with cinnamon and honey, yay!). Also, good luck finding a place to sit down and grab a bite on a Saturday morning or any evening, it's full of people busy on their laptops. Pro tip: 15 min parking out back for customers.
Good for a morning coffee before flying...
Good coffee, great specialty lattes, okay food
Great place to grab a drink, a bite and get work done. Staff is super friendly.
A true gem! Fantastic espresso, cappuccino, scones, salads, fresh pressed juices. Very cool design and branding.
Perfect combination: Very roomy, nice decor, light filled, and excellent choice of cafe fair and single-cup pour over coffee.
Best place to grab a cup of coffee, a delicious sandwich and just relax. Every city should have more places like this.
My favorite place to get coffee in Brighton.
Great coffee, perfect place to meet or work.
Atmosphere - 5 stars Coffee - between 4 and 5 stars, depending on the barista Food - 4 stars Prices - 3 stars Come for the atmosphere and coffee. Eat elsewhere. Fuel is a laid-back study spot, great for paper-writing, meeting up with friends, or just to get out of the house for a bit. Their coffee used to be superb; now whether it ends up burnt depends on who the barista is. Even slightly burnt, it's still pretty great. The food is pastries and slapped-together sandwiches, standard overpriced coffee shop fare. ($7 grilled cheese and $4 PB toast is high even for Brighton.) But pastries are $0.99 after 4 pm! They have a small parking lot and street parking. They also have gluten-free bread, but shared preparation spaces. No GF pastries, sadly. This is a great place to get work done, but I usually try to eat before I come. The atmosphere is one of the best in the area, and the $0.99 pastries thing is pretty great, but the coffee could be more consistent and the food could be a lot better.
Don't get it twisted: Fuel is a library pretending to be a coffee shop. On any given weekend day, you will find this place barely noisy filled with Macbook carrying BC students camped out to finish their latest and greatest assignment. The service is decent and the atmosphere, if there was ever a turn over in available seating, would be astounding... but that's just it, it never changes over ever. People spend entire days on one measly $1.69 coffee absorbing the free wi-fi camped at tables. They give you dirty looks when you, the actual coffee shop goer who intended to break out of your apartment for the morning and leisurely enjoy a hot brewed cup of joy, begin to hold a conversation. Listen buddy, I don't go to your library to drink coffee. So don't go to my coffee shop to study. Fuel could be the greatest coffee shop in all of Boston if it weren't for the obnoxious adherence to "fueling" the ongoing study session. Last I checked, these kids are living off of student loans... I'm living off the salary I make from going to my job Monday-Friday. How about you appeal to the consumer base that will actually sustain you? Sorry Fuel, your fresh brewed goodness isn't worth those obnoxious laptop cords that treacherously line your floors. Do us all a favor and cut the wi-fi every now and then and allow some turn over.
One of my favorite coffee shops in Boston. They have great coffee, excellent pastries, and a cool ambiance. Try the honey latte if you have the chance! It's my favorite.
Wow! What great coffee and fantastic service!
Cute coffeeshop. Was a bit noisy.
Best coffee shop hands down! From basic iced or hot coffees, to pour overs, to lattes - everything is delicious. They also have great bakery and hot food options. We always look forward to our Fuel trips!
Food and coffee is great. My only complaint, as someone who likes to get work done here, is that they like to blast loud and distracting music all day (it is especially loud in the back). I wish they would play quieter music without words that blended in more with the ambience of the cafe (ie jazz).
Awesome!
The coffee is flavorful enough that I have begun buying bags of it for home consumption. It's better than your average coffee spot with a hip, open, bright and clean dining area to do some work while you sip. The food is solid too.
Nice place. Checked this out after brother recommended it. Great place to study, meet a friend, and grab something real quick
Awsome independent coffee shop. Friendly staff
Nice coffee shop, good amount of seating. Music's loud in the front but if you can sit towards the back it's not as distracting.
Good spot to grab a coffee and work. Their coffee isn't spectacular, but its solid and beats DD any day. I'm pretty sure that New Harvest roasts their coffee.
I love Fuel america. Delicious coffee. Tasty pastries. It's a perfect spot to study because most everyone in there is a student. The best thing on the menu is the Earth Tonic!
My boyfriend and I stopped for a late lunch. We didnt notice until our drive home that his coffee was black instead of the latte he asked and paid for. My cold brew coffee tasted overly acidic and over roasted -- so much that I ended up dumping it out after one sip. My boyfriends sandwich has browned lettuce. Thanks for a bad experience. First and last time we come!
Great drinks, food, and space. It's just always super crowded.
literally the worst breakfast sandwich and smoothie ive ever had in my life, im extremely upset about it
Amazing Coffee and Great Environment
Great coffee. Crowded on the weekends get there before 10 if you want a spot to study or sit.
Try their Americano
Stopped in for a quick sandwich. The wheat bread tastes funny and there is very little meat on the sandwich. Service was OK nit the counter girls were much more interested in each other than the customers.
They have nice salad options, and I love the dressing for the "Asian" salad. They need to season the chicken for salads though, instead of expecting the salad dressing to do that for them. They only have one gluten-free pastry option, a blueberry loaf. It's always dry and bland, which is a shame since I would love to get something with my coffee when I'm not in for a meal. My fiance likes the normal pastries at least, so he gets to enjoy that. The location is convenient for us, but it's tucked away in a residential area. Despite that, it's always busy and quite often there isn't a place to sit, as it's so comfy that people spend entire afternoons here. Oh yeah, the coffee is good, too. They have a large selection of tea to try, if you're into that.
Love this place!! Very modern decoration!
Nice coffee shop with plenty of space to sit and relax.
Great coffee shop with lots of room. I got an iced americano black and wasn’t ready for the bold taste- the Fuel brand coffee is unique and very strong/pungent.. After the first few sips I got used to it and loved it. Their chocolate chip cookies were delectable. Also they have an almond milk carafe (and soy if you’re a fan)! A Brighton gem.
Simply a great local place. Good food, drinks, service, place to hang out. I've never regretted going.
Food, coffee and staff all worked really well together. Lots of sitting room and different types of ambience. One of the last few good coffee shops that welcomes the work grind, studying or simply getting things done over an extended period of time.
As someone that doesn't like coffee, I really like their coffee. I also really enjoyed their cinnamon roll, excellent texture and glaze, just what I look for. The coffee is a little more expensive than Starbucks but well worth it. The environment is a good for studying, my only complaint is the music can be a little intrusive, but easily mitigated with some headphones or earbuds. The staff was friendly and helpful, no complaints with customer service. Overall, would highly recommend this coffee shop to anyone in the area
It gets pretty busy on the weekends at this popular local refueling location, but that's how you know it's worth it! Constantly-rotating specials and well-prepared brews are the main fare here. The abundance of power outlets and chairs with well-spaced tables means work and collaboration is encouraged here as well. You'll probably find more than a handful of college students gathered here chattering away about projects and assignments, so don't forget your headphones if you want to be left alone! I forgot the name of the person who told me, but I was considering checking Tailor Cooperative
@Logan airport, terminal E. Customer service needs improvement. Looking for a healthier alternative from sbarro and BK. The smoothie tasted like a sponge and Turkey sandwich tasted like it was microwaved. $15 later.
Possibly my favorite coffee shop in boston. The coffee is delicious and the place has a very chill vibe. The only problem is it’s sometimes too busy and difficult to get a seat.
Overentitled employees take up 2 parking spaces and then harass customers - never go here
A great spot to relax while reading or working on laptop. Their coffee and food are good too.
Breakfast of champions, please insert your expletive of choice to properly express the required extremity of this statement. The food is so good I forget to post a picture of it and all I have left is the bag it came in. Which I'm sure tastes good by association and juxtaposition to the sandwich I ordered.
Very cool coffee shop, quick stop on the way out of town. Great idea coffee.
Awesome coffee, great food!
Possibly the best latte I’ve had in the last few years. Nice space as well.
This is my favorite place to order an espresso drink and to drop some studying. Music is loud but not annoying (to me). Favorite items are the ricotta-honey toast and the cortado espresso. Staff is hipster-friendly. Lots of seating and as many outlets that you can expect.
Always a great vibe though gets packed quickly.
Haven't found another place that has the flavor of coffee dialed in so well!
An upscale coffee and snack shop in a popular college neighborhood, Fuel pulls off a hip atmosphere suitable for hanging with the chill crowd, studying, or just listening to the trip hop tunes on a decent sounding sound system while you enjoy your beverages. Apparently they occasionally have some live sets featuring local artists and open mics on some evenings. Keep it on your shortlist of favs and must see spots in the area.
Everything was delicious and absolutely beautifully.
The food is way expensive and pretty bland.
Wonderful coffee and pastries!
Beat coffee shop/lunch place work space in Brighton
Bad music choice. Too loud and distracting for a coffee shop environment. Not cool
$1 pasteries after 4pm Chai latte is awful, don't order lol
Students here take up the tables and chairs all day, but it doesn't matter, it's worth it for the coffee. Just get a regular coffee and be sure to grind a pound of it to take with you.
NEVER GET THE CHAI. I am writing this review to warn you to never drink the chai. It is very disgusting. It tastes like nail polish remover. It is not worth the money. They have other beverages that are good. But never get the chai.
Best coffee
Great bagels
I hear that they throw the recycling and the garbage all in the same dumpster... it's not nice to be implicitly lied to like that
Great place to sit and work with one of their Mint Matcha Lattes. Friendly staff and great vibe plus plenty of seats.
Found this randomly one day driving by. Apparently they've been around for years and have locations in Logan Airport as well. Big menu, decent espresso, huge space to setup and work. I wish their espresso was fresher roasted, and it could earn another star from me. Their website is awful when I tried using it. Batista seemed to share my frustrations.
I love the pastry with lemon and blueberry. Some that you need to know is: everyday, all pastries cost just $1 after 4pm. Go there!
Yum yum yummm little spot to get your juices flowing!
Perfect place to spend an afternoon peacefully working on your laptop. Or notebook, if that's your thing. Good coffee. Comfy space. Interesting people. Also it's not too heavy on the pocket !
Place is fine. Okay coffee! Kinda crowded. I’ve only been here for 30 minutes and they’ve already played two different versions of “In The Mood” by Glenn Miller which feels pretty excessive.
Love the garden pan omelet, 1/2 slice which is made from egg whites and over greens. I also love the honey ricotta toast. Usually get large cappucino. They are pretty expensive, but i really like this place. I love the interior, it does have that industrial feel.
Just visited for the first time the other day, joe was hot, place was cool.
One of my favorite coffee shops in Boston. Great coffee and espresso, sandwiches are fresh and flavorful, staff is always so nice, and it's a great place to study or read.
not bad for an airport.
Neat cafe, good coffee, popular study hangout. But the music is loud so it's difficult to actually study there.
Coffee is good. Not the biggest fan of their food. But a great workspace!
CLOSES AT 8PM EVERY NIGHT
Great coffee
Music is a little distracting, but good atmosphere, lots of seats, and good coffee and tea.
Nothing too special for quality, good variety for choices though. Service was just ok.
I've been once. Nice tea, nice place to study.
Great coffee and food. Awesome place to hang out on your computer to do work too. Fast internet
Very affordable coffee and attractive breakfast spot.
Nice
Coffee Nerd approved ;o)
Been here 3 times and they’ve messed up my order every time.
Good coffee and friendly staff.
Great coffee and service.
Best coffee around
Alright food, decent coffee, bad lattes, and rude baristas. The food is alright and semi affordable in comparison to other cafes. The coffee is not great but nor terrible. Avoid the lattes or anything on the bar. 3 out 4 of my lattes have been burnt or a half cup of foam. Anybody who's ever worked as a barista can taste it right away. The place is loud, bring headphones and expect people to bump into your chair. The place is crowded on a regular basis. Overall, it's nothing special and ties right in with starbucks and dunks. If you don't live close to it, there's no point in checking it out.
Love their coffee, great atmosphere and nice cashiers.
Huge fan of Fuel. In the world of Starbucks and Dunks, Fuel had carved out a space servicing those who ACTUALLY like coffee. I survive during the week on Patriots Blend. Don't miss the Golden Green tea blend and wide offering of really excellent food.
Excellent espresso. Also, the BLT was great! Thanks!
Horrible coffee
Love this place. Great and varied seating for a quick snack or a leisurely visit with friends for chat, study, or reading. Very friendly staff and service. Delicious Mediterranean Salad freshly made for you. The black iced tea is just right!
Really nice little coffee shop with tasty and healthy food, with plenty of study space for all you struggling college students or aspiring writers!
Great atmosphere, employees, and coffee.
Favorite coffee shop in the area
Best americano ever!
coffee was great!! Nutella pastry was delicious!
The ambiance and decor are quite cool, and the pastries (scone in my case) really good and reasonably priced. The coffee unfortunately was quite expensive and not so good. Definitely would try again to double check my facts
Good food. Get here early if you want to study. It gets very crowded.
I love this place!!
Coffee is great. Chai is meh (they use concentrate, which tastes okay hot, but metallic iced). The food is hit and miss. The egg and cheese sandwich is super bland, but I think that's what they aim for. The omelette is to die for. So all in all, a pretty okay joint.
Coffee was good. Wifi was meh.
A bit pricey but loved the atmosphere. I was able to get things done here. It has a customer parking lot.
Excellent cafe, a bit crowded with college students, but one of the nicest places around here.
Not a bad place but a Boston college Hangout
Great coffee, great sandwiches and sweet treats. Not exorbitantly priced like some of the other cafes popping up around the city recently. Can get crowded and the wifi can sometimes be a bit slow - but it's still my favorite cafe in Allston/Brighton!
Excellent coffee, again, Colombian medium roast, turkey Brie fig jam on whole wheat chiabata. Wonderful personable service, modern atmosphere (not sterile corporate)
