Excellent coffee AND fresh, hot liege waffles. The waffles have rotating specials without much choice. But really, what more could you ask for? The coffee shop is small with about 7 tables around the coffee counter, though it felt spacious enough for a conversation even when nearly full and buzzing.

Easily the best Cafe in Cambridge. The coffee drinks at Curio are consistently beautiful and delicious, with a variety of interesting rotating coffees. The waffle may just be the only pastry you'll ever want to eat once you try it. It's got a really fun and chill aosphere, making this a great place to hang out, and the owner/staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. 10/10.

Cute little place with good coffee. Only has beverages (coffee and tea). the coffee can be the usual cappuccino, latte etc or the drip coffee. They also.have waffles which are very tasty even if the only topping is sugar glazing. We went there for the morning coffee and "breakfast" waffles and we would go back again. But be warned, there is very little sitting space so it is more ideal for to-go. We did get a sitting space though after waiting for 10 minutes.

Despite the tiny amount of space available for seating, Curio is one of my favorite coffee shops in Boston. They clearly care about their drinks, which consists of coffee, espresso, and tea, and they especially care about their waffles! Made to order so you get them steaming hot, the waffles are light, fluffy, and just crispy enough on the outside. The decor is very tasteful, with a wunderkammer/academic's study feel - old books, hanging wall of plants, dusty animal skulls. My inner nerd and interior design geek thoroughly appreciates it.

Best coffee I've had in the US so far. Perfectly made. These people don't mess around with their coffee, there are no special syrups or anything (which I'm fine with as the coffee, like I said, is amazing). They don't have any pastries either, just fresh waffles which I haven't tried yet. They do have free wifi. Unfortunately they close at 2 pm (14:00) which is quite annoying as I often enjoy an afternoon coffee. I would give it 4 stars for that (as I'm not a 5 staring person) but the coffee was just too amazing.

Curio is a solid coffee place that's located off the beaten path that's worth visiting. My lattes have a good consistency, the waffles are a nice differentiating quality, the service is always friendly and the pricing is fine. I would definitely recommend stopping by if you are in the 'hood.

Great addition to the neighborhood, since there really isn’t another quality-focused coffee shop in the immediate area. My only complaint is that they don’t offer Splenda or other sweeteners. I don’t like sugar in my coffee for caloric and taste reasons so that keeps me from coming here more often. The waffles smell good but haven’t tried them.

Curio Cafe' is a lovely romantic nook in the beating heart of East Cambridge. A new small business that perfectly integrates among the existing, historic venues. I am giving it 4 stars because of the opening hours - hoping it will become a 5 stars. They serve few things, but very good ones; like their Belgian waffle - a true delicacy. I simply wish I could enjoy one for dessert, after dinner. Needless to say; their coffee is delicious. Quality over quantity must be their motto! This is the only cafeteria (that I know of) that had the great idea of re-purposing a tall counter for customers, like me, who like to order espresso but don't need to sit at a table, still would like the comfort of enjoying their beverage in a "comfortable hurry" - for a true coffee break, the Italian way! Staff is friendly and kind. I suggest trying to spend some time here, specially if you are a regular at the local laundromat. This is a much better place where to wait for your laundry to be clean.

Curio is a small coffee shop on a picturesque street. They have several tables, and a couple of bar stools along the window. If you visit on a Saturday morning (my preferred time), the street will be quiet, but the coffee shop will be busy. They serve counter culture coffee (one of my personal favorites). The waffles are the only food served, but they are to die for, and they are made to order. Made with crunchy sugar pearls in the dough, they don't require syrup, and they are small, but hearty. This shop is on my regular rotation of best Boston coffee shops.

Cozy coffee and waffle spot. They offer waffle of the day and their classic leige waffle (similar to a glazed donut in size) + coffee and teas. $4 for a tiny waffle, but worth it if you're into that kind of thing (crispy outside, soft inside, bursting with flavor - no need for syrup or condiments and I don't think they have any regardless). Coffee was also solid. Had the drip coffee (comes with refills) and a capucinno. Busy, but fast service (had the coffees within a minute, the waffles within a couple more, made to order so piping hot :) Limited seating. Counted 4 tables for two and two counters, seats were full our whole time there but generally guick turnover. Some folks were working on laptops (free WiFi).

Curio provides artisanal coffee & waffle by day, organic wine and comfort nighttime food (hot dogs, grilled cheese sandwich etc.) by night. My friend and I stopped by to try their natural wine at 9pm and stayed till 10:30pm - it’s a perfect place to catch up with old friends or just chat with the owner to learn more wines. Highly recommended.

Top-notch coffee and espresso-based drinks on a simple menu. They limit food to just a Liege waffle, served in a sleeve for easy eating, and it is delicious. Relaxed vibe and friendly service in a small, plant- and sun- soaked space. Recommend arriving early or late in the day to snag a seat, though seat availability does circle throughout the day. Otherwise, everything is available to-go.

I grew up a block away. On Sundays I visit my grandparents. Aside from Dunkin’ Donuts, this is about the only coffee they like. The prices are still reasonable (though not “cheap”), the waffles are great, and the staff friendly. Some of the best drip coffee around.

Before I got a full time job, I visited Curio almost every free day I had. The atmosphere is perfect for a few hours of relaxed creative writing, and the first class waffles plus serving their sit-in tea in teapots are absolute perfection. The operating hours are the only reason I can’t give five stars. I daydream all week about coming here but by the time I can get myself up and out on the weekend it feels too late to have the unhurried time I want. I hope that someday soon Curio will decide to stay open later; it’s my perfect coffee shop and I miss it.

This is a coffee shop whose only rival in Boston is Gracenote. Curio makes amazing coffee drinks, Excellent macchiatos and cappuccinos. Friendly staff, small business vibe and one hell of a waffle if you like a sweet with your coffee. We need more places like Curio and Gracenote. They care about good coffee, make incredible drinks and do it without being pretentious. If you're in Cambridge this is the place to have your coffee.

The coffee itself was disappointing. Just arrived to Boston early morning, to a snowy city, after 12h flight, so I might have had high expectations. The shop is local, quiet, with good musicand vibe. The coffee, and I've had both an espresso and a cappuccino, was somewhat sour. :-( The lack of something to bite on the side but a waffle was also a bit of a disappointment.

Walked by on a cold Sunday morning and dropped in for a latte and a hot chocolate. Charming, quaint and relaxing place without the corporate (Starbucks) vibe. Wife's latte and my hot chocolate both tasted good but were lukewarm at best -- the reason I am not giving 5 stars. Nice helpful staff. I asked what a "Liege Waffle" was and after they explained, I had to try one. Really good waffle, fresh and hot directly off the waffle iron. Yeastier, more aromatic, and more filling than the usual American waffle. A little bit sweet in its own right so you don't need syrup.

Curio is a great independent, neighborhood coffee shop. I've been wanting one for awhile, so I was happy to hear that Curio was going to be opening in the old Petsi Pies location in East Cambridge. The shop is small, music at an appropriate volume, the owner and staff friendly, and the coffee is very flavorful. They have different featured roast and origin coffee every time I go in. I also like the waffle - doughy, and just the right amount of sweet. I'm curious how the menu will evolve over time. I've come here on different occasions to relax and read, catch up with friends, and to work.I recommend you check it out, especially if you live in the neighborhood.

Nice vibe, any place with a La Marzocco machine should be taken seriously. The cinnamon waffles were lovely, just am convinced that the espresso could have been better, it was for me a bit bitter. I assume the grind setting is the culprit in this, therefore 3 stars.
