Always worth swinging in for breakfast or my lunch. My favorites on the menu are the Smokey Dutchman turkey sandwich and the Cape Cobb salad. Anything is good and I've yet to order something that wasn't delicious. But no matter what, a cup of coffee and a baked dessert at the end is really the best way to begin and end a trip down rt. 6A.

We go here often for lunch. They have a very organized system for finding you a table and then you go up to the counter to order and they’ll bring the food to you when it’s ready. The staff are very nice. The salad plates are enormous. We’ve found some of the dishes sound nicer than they turn out to be. We prefer the straightforward sandwiches.

I absolutely love it here! Anytime I am on Cape I make sure to stop in and get a sandwich. There are a lot of options, and you really can't go wrong! Their baked goods are also phenomenal, take one for the road! One of my favorite added touches is they give you Cape Cod potato chips with your sandwich!

Eating a sandwich in Sandwich, MA? What a treat. We stopped in bc of the reviews and the pun. The food did not disappoint. I got the smokey dutchman and it was very good. The only thing that wasn't perfect was when my friend asked the cashier if they had turkey bacon, he said all their bacon is turkey bacon. Bless her heart. Today that lady learned where bacon comes from. They don't have turkey bacon. They only have pork bacon and it is delicious.

Fantastic! I'm on a special food plan and not many places offer plain Greek yogurt and steel cut oatmeal and the best fresh fruit! The people I was with got the best French toast, eggs and bacon not to mention delicious coffee. They also have a huge variety of freshly baked goods.

Had a terrible experience today eating at cafe chew- will not be back. Came in, stood in line to order, and an older waitress kindly reserved a table for us. She said, "Corner table." By the time we moseyed over to sit down a grotesque white-haired lady had come in a few minutes after us and sneered "That's MY table" and we said it had been reserved. We were moved anyway, she was obese and apparently a regular. Even though signs are posted that 2 people are not suppose to take up a 4-top, she was granted whatever she wanted and we moved. The waitress said nothing. Horrible, horrible favoritism. We were so disgusted we took our lunches to go.

Noisy..inside.. tables placed too closely together. Friendly service with a very quirky order taker. My order of 2 scrambled eggs was chopped into pea-size pieces.. Hype is greater than the experience! Left a $5 cash tip on a $19 bill.. The gent/owner at the register took the liberty of adding an additional $5 to my debit card without asking! That's 50% .. Beware ..owner should talk less and listen more to customers.. He was very annoying.

We had a great lunch there - delicious food, friendly and helpful staff, clean and quaint environment. The only qualm I had was that, even though we had our food to stay, we were given several disposable items (plastic containers and paper plates). I would love to see a restaurant like Cafe Chew be a leader on the Cape to reduce this kind of unnecessary pollution considering it’s surrounded by ocean which is where the majority of this trash ends up!

This is a great place for sandwiches. I had the grilled Reuben and my wife was very happy with the 1/2 sandwich and soup lunch special. They make their own versions of iced tea and French sodas. Everything it was extremely good. Or as my wife would put it, "very delicious!" We had to come all the way from Southern California to get a really good Reuben. Everyone there is very helpful. The owner is quick to discuss anything from today's weather to politics. Very relaxing atmosphere.

Maybe it was the excellent weather that made me want to relax in the shade and have a ice cold coffee with a light meal but I had a really great time here. It's a very loose format where you walk in pick up a menu, walk up to the counter when you're ready to order, then you grab a seat where you like and they deliver the food to you. I got to try a couple of there menu items -pulled pork tasted homemade, the veggie wrap is great with its flavorful hummus, and the chicken salad was great and not to mayo-e. Good time!

Fantastic service and food! Sandwiches are high quality meat and served with Cape Cod Chips. The cafe is super cute. Get there early if you want a table. It is always busy and the cafe is on the small side so in order to get a table plan ahead! Great for lunch!

Our first visit was breakfast and our second was for lunch. Both experiences were perfect. The staff works like a well oiled machine and even with a long lunch line, we were sitting and eating in a matter of about 15 minutes. Everyone was very happy with their meal choice and even when you saw someone elses meal go by, you thought maybe I should have ordered that, because it looked so good. Breakfast was also very good. I had a traditional eggs, bacon, homefries and toast and my husband "The Mulligan" and a grilled corn muffin, which he said was delicious. Coffee good as well. I loved the decor, interesting and colorful things to look at. Prices were very reasonable. Will certainly go again...and again....and again.

I stopped in and had to “custom” order two breakfast sandwiches- two simple egg, cheese and avocado sandwiches-one on a bagel and one on sourdough bread. Easy. Get your place card first! Upon entering Cafe Chew, get a place card that says "reserved while I'm ordering" and then reserve your table inside or on either of their outdoor patios (the one enclosed by bushes is beautiful). After doing so, order from their diverse, healthy menu options. My favorite was the pilgrim sandwich -- Turkey with stuffing and sweet bread that had cranberries inside. We didn't have any room for coffee, but I wish we did; their coffee and espresso options looked delicious!

Great tasting, healthy food with generous portions and lots of interesting options. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had issues with our orders, which was the same mistake of the mayonnaise on our sandwiches. We'd asked for mustard instead. The salads are huge, not really a one person meal. The outdoor seating was very nice, great garden atmosphere. I recommend the ambrosia iced tea, as it was slightly sweet but very delicious.

I ordered a specialty sandwich called The Pilgrim. The main ingredient is the turkey meat on cranberry walnut bread. What I am surprised about is that the turkey meat is not processed meat but the roasted turkey meat, just like what we have for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Very delicious. There are vegetarian as well as organic options. For sure I will go back to try other specialty sandwiches.

Super Yum! Fresh, natural, responsibly sourced ingredients in beautifully prepared home made dishes. Busy all year round, but we always get a table. The servings are huge, a cup of soup is bigger than bowls in most restaurants. I especially enjoy the hearty soups, as a gluten-free diner, because it is one of the few restaurants that does not use thickening agents. The salads are works of art, and gorgeous plates of deliciousness, overflowing with abundant extras like candied nuts, goat cheese & cinnamon poached pears. One regular salad is easily enough for 2 meals.

Searing can be confusing- rather casual which is a great feel, they are super accommodating to food allergies, well educated and friendly staff . The food is fantastic haven’t been dissatisfied with over 8 dishes so far. Welcoming, warm. Cape cod feel and we love it!

This is a better breakfast restuarant with good selection of meals prepared with quality ingredients. Espresso machine with a capable barista. Can be crowded pretty much any day but will be packed when the cape flips its crazy switch. Plenty of outdoor seating.

I am shocked by the number of breakfast places on the cape ARE NOT kid friendly. This place is kid friendly. The food all seems to be locally sourced and it is prepared to perfection. This is my favorite spot for food so far on the cape.

Visited on my way out of the Cape to see a friend. We we're actually taken to a seat and then ordered. Food was brought to the table quickly and was very good. The whole table was silent for a long while just eating the food, only breaking the silence to talk about how good the sandwiches were. Wonderful atmosphere and a polite staff.

It is a tourist thing I know, but I had to have a sandwich while I was in Sandwich, MA. We did some research and decided that this must be one of the best places for sandwiches and we chose wisely. The service was great and the sandwiches were even better. I had the Bavarian which comes on a pretzel roll. It had ham, brie, green apple, and cranberry relish. The flavors worked great together and it made a great lunch. Someone at our table got the Pilgram which is turkey, sage stuffing and cranberry sauce served on a cranberry bread. The Pilgrim looked delicious as well. We accomplished our mission and enjoyed every bite of it.

DELICIOUS. I stopped in on a road trip, just driving through Sandwich. Ordered The Pilgrim sandwich (cranberry sourdough filled with turkey, stuffing, lettuce, cranberry mayo) and pumpkin soup. It was such a perfect fall blend and deliciously unusual. Wish I was staying longer so I could revisit. Oh, also got apple cider and my meal was under $15!

My wife and I ate at Cafe Chew for breakfast. We were very pleased with their coffee (she had the decaf and I had the french roast). We had three eggs, sourdough bread toast, and a fruit salad. It was all delicious and eating outside under an umbrella made it even better. Inside is so busy, it's frantic. Definitely a hit!

My husband and I had a tasty breakfast here. However, we were both surprised that there are no real mugs available for coffee and tea. Therefore, everyone sitting to eat in the cafe was using disposable plastic or paper cups. Fortunately, we had our own stainless steel cups with us to use. Since real plates and silverware are used, Chew Cafe obviously has a dishwasher, and I would encourage them to use ceramic mugs for customers who are eating in the cafe in order to reduce waste. It's also classier for eat-in patrons.

Cafe Chew is a new favorite of ours! The menu is enormous, the soups are outstanding and the desserts are the best that we have found on Cape Cod! The vibe is comfortable, funky and warm. It is a much warmer and artsy type of place than it looks like from the outside. The Split Pea Soup with Ham was one of the best that I have ever had. The homemade croutons are delicious, fresh and crispy. Our Ham Sandwich with Gruyere Cheese could have used more moisture. We should have asked for some mayo, but we were in a hurry. The staff is warm and helpful. We love Chew!!!

Stopped here for breakfast during the 4th of July weekend, and it was popping! It is a charming spot with quirky, welcoming decor inside and plenty of outdoor seating. I had a cheesy New Orleans sandwich with the herb home fries. The eggs were cooked perfectly and went well with the sausage. My boyfriend had the Cajun breakfast that came with crumbly cornbread. And the brewed coffee was A+. I would give the place five stars if the ordering system were a little less confusing. If you get there when then line's out the door, they take your name while you're waiting in the line and find you a table (which is excellent), but you have to order at the counter anyway. There are signs that alert you to this and so do the staff, but we saw at least one party get very confused by this. Otherwise it's a great place! I'd go here again while I'm in Sandwich!
