Always friendly service. I enjoy the Vanilla Latte Tea, yum. I've had the yogurt parfait with jam, very good. I also had a turkey sandwhich, so good. A little pricey but a nice treat. Great place to meet a friend and catch up. Lots of seating inside and I like the sidewalk seating in the warmer weather. Lap top friendly too, with outlets for charging.

The location and the coffee are the best part of the Atomic. Really, some of the best lattes around the area. But 3 stars for being a very loud place (the acoustics can be deafening) and for ongoing mistakes on my orders. With that said the staff are particularly friendly and cheerful.

Nice little spot, seems to be very popular with locals; I saw everyone from parents with kids and toddlers to college students. Lots of people meeting to hang out or just solo studying or working. I came here to do some remote work while in town, and had no problems connecting to Wi-Fi or losing the connection. You can sit at a window seat (which are stools, so prepare your back muscles!) and the businesses across the street are very charming, so it's a nice picture. I liked the atmosphere enough to bring my husband back in the evening for beers and a couple more hours of work, and we both enjoyed the 2000s punk rock they played (at least on the day I was there). I also like that they have a water dispenser in the corner for patrons to get water from. I just got a plain latte and, later, a local beer. The beer was good, I didn't care much for the coffee. I don't consider myself a coffee connoisseur by any means, so take that with a grain of salt. I just found it a bit sour, but then again, maybe that's how people like their coffee here, as another local spot I tried had the same problem, to my taste buds. I think I probably would have liked it better had I tried one of the tasty-sounding house syrups. On a positive note, I thought the portion was very generous for a medium, and a good value, especially for a house-made coffee.

Best cappuccino in the galaxy, Atomic is the upside of small local chain roasting their own coffee. Art student staff add to bohemian ambiance, as do eclectic local regulars. Try to go at least 5 days a week.

After the let down that was expensive dinner last night, I hit up a local coffee shop to sate my hunger this morning. Atomic Café was chosen for the review insisting they have the best coffee around. I don't know if I'm qualified to state with certainty, but they did a damn good job with my breve, and my sandwich is nourishing, which is all that was required today. As a coffee lover, I recommend all others stop here to check it out. They're busy, and worth the wait.

Diesel coffee is the best. WAY better runnin' on this than on dunkin. They need to up their game on service for 5 stars, though. Too many errors and slow pace at times. That said, this is a local gem and the new expanded location is fantastic.

This was by far one of the worst expirences I have ever had. We traveled all the way from Ohio for a wedding. The wedding we went to was right across the street, so naturally after the ceremony a group of us head to atomic cafe to get a drink maybe a snack to hang out before we head to the reception. Two people from our group got their food and beers and sat at the bar. While my husband and I went to get our drinks and food, the girl at the register asked for a second form of ID because we were from out of state. Absolutely fine! We hand her our debit cards, social security cards, anything else in our wallet.... Nothing was good enough. So half of our party got served half didn't... Now we are in a fun situation aren't we? The girl at the register was rude and seemed irritated that we didn't quite understand the policy since half our group got served with no problem and now here I am, just shy of 30 years old trying to fight for my right to a small glass of wine. While our poor friends try and chug their beers so that we can leave the place... I ask to speak to the manager... The one nice kid in the joint says ya that's fine he will find someone for me... The manager is even more irritated "well what do THEY want " well "they" were sitting right and front of him so we just asked to make sure the girl was correct about the policy and then simply asked how could that be the policy of the other half of party didn't even get carded. He said he could probably get us a drink ... Well ya kid look I'm a manager I actually train all new managers for retail stores and let me tell u how this situation should have been handled so that your bosses don't have to. The cashier should have expressed her concern that half of the party was served and now her customers can't be.. The manager should have came over and apologized for the inconvenience and said that is indeed the policy and someone did their job wrong that's why our friends got served and showed empathy. Or accommodated us based on the fact we had every other card in our wallet including picture Ids and apologized for the hassle. Either way, it was handled wrong and if the owners don't want traveling people in their location and the managers don't want to be accommodating do yourselves a favor and put a locals only sign up on your door.

I would give this place 5 stars, but only gave 4 because the internet is shoddy, which stinks because I do my best work at cafes. Great NEW interior design/decor. Awesome coffee and food. Very nice and helpful staff. Be careful of the coffee on tap, as that is some super caffeinated stuff-pretty yummy nonetheless! Reasonable prices. My only gripe is the internet.

For a place that roasts their own coffee they sure don’t seem to know how to brew it. I’m not sure if it’s poor equipment or lack of training but the batch brew is always off. The coffee is often sour, bitter, or both, signs of poor extraction. I also shot them an email a while back and never got a response. It’s a shame because the beans are decent and you can buy a bag and get better results at home. The food on the otherhand is pretty good but i don’t go to a coffee roaster for the food.

I am not a coffee person, but I am a tea, smoothie and great atmosphere person. The tea and smoothies are great! The swinger smoothie would have to be my favorite. The sandwiches are original and delicious. The pastries always appear to be fresh and I have been told they are very tasty. The service is always friendly and fast. The atmosphere reminds me of a toned down Friendly Toast (Portsmouth and Cambridge). Atomic has a two very large windows that provide a great view of Cabot street and is very cozy during a snow storm. My only complaint would be that it is not large enough and is always crowded. Enjoy.

This is my go-to in Beverly. Great place to plug in and work or go for a coffee and read. It can get crowded, so plan accordingly. BONUS... Great beer selection, but note they stop serving 30 minutes before close. Don't learn the hard way.

What a funky and great cafe. I was able ro order quickly and get my food right away. It is mostly American fair, so the usual comforts. Lots of age ranges there and lots of seating. Bathrooms are wonderfully gender neutral. I'll definitely be going back. I am cane dependent and face a hard time walking. I was so pleasantly surprised that the friendly staff accommodated me and brought my food over to me. Not having to walk more than I did made wanted to go back as someone who has a hard time walking makes the decision to have this as a new regular spot easy.

I had their strawberry smoothie and blueberry bagel with cream cheese. Both of incredible. They make their smoothies with yogurt and fruit purée and this makes one of the absolute best smoothies I've ever had. They are smooth, with minimal ice chunks, so their blender is phenomenal. The bagel was toasted perfectly with tons of natural blueberry flavor and they put the perfect amount of cream cheese. The prices are a little steep, but their use of the best ingredients and seemingly all natural and non-commercialized ingredients makes it worth while. To top it off, the music was awesome, the Wi-Fi super strong (and free!), but also they reuse their dish and silverware, which makes this eco-friendly woman happy! Completely recommend this place!

The drink were amazing but the service was horrible. The drinks to look 10 minutes to be made with one person in line in front of me and no one else in the place. I then went to get more whipped cream for my hot chocolate. The whipped cream was out on the counter so I figured it was help yourself. Apparently not. The coffee maker guy then rudely told me NEVER!!! do that again. I then proceded to say I won't because I won't be back here. The moral of this story go to the Starbucks that's a half mile farther down the road.

Don't expect to get your coffee at the pace of McDonald's but there is a reason for that. This coffee is the best in town. Smooth and strong and the staff has never messed up my order. The sandwiches are also excellent with fresh ingredients. I recommend the mocha chai charger, complete with a heart in the foam on top and a piece of decadent chocolate to enjoy with your java.

Dropped by running an errand in Danvers. Parking outside is 25 cents for the hour. Local roaster, fun little shop with friendly staff. Get a discount if drinking in the cafe. They also sell bags of beans - from $10-15. They carry soy and almond milks for those with lactose sensitivities

I've been here a few times now, but I have to say I'm shockingly disappointed with Atomic Cafe. While the drinks were delicious, they employ some of the most rude and disrespectful girls I've ever had the displeasure of encountering. Dirty looks/glares, shortness when asked questions about the menu, and overall acting like my being there was an inconvenience to them. The other employees have been top tier every visit, but these two in particular ruin the experience everytime I'm unfortunate enough to happen upon them. Despite the drinks being as good as they are, I can't imagine ever returning. Atomic used to be a must visit when in Beverly, but this is legitimately the kind of service that causes businesses to go under when left unchecked.

Better than Starbucks. That's for sure. I tried a cappuccino, which I consider good. It was better than average for a US cafe from my experience and travels. I've tried cappuccinos from 100's of cafe's around the world which is what I'm basing my judgment on. The one I had here at atomic is comparable to the worst cappuccino that I had in Italy. Which might sound like it's bad which it wasn't, but in comparison to some of the best that I've had this one lacks something that I haven't yet been able to put my finger on in understanding the difference that creates the difference in taste. I can tell the baristas here are proud of their work which is great and probably why it's better than average. If a shot of espresso isn't used within a certain amount of time it goes bad. At Starbucks, the baristas don't care or pay attention to this detail. They just dump the shot in eve after it's been sitting there for a while and move on. The barista here smell the shot after pouring it into my mug to make sure it hadn't gone bad before adding the steamed milk and I appreciate that they care about the quality.
