REVIEWS OF The Filling Station IN Maryland

John Stewart

Great local coffee niche with authentic tacos and live music on Fridays. One of those neat local secrets that is perpetually busy from positive word of mouth, with a popularity entirely disproportionate to its modest storefront. It's the go-to for local businesses around loveton circle; can be a bit overrun by the 12:00 lunch rush. They also feature local art, ceramics and metalwork. Nice!

Ken Andrade

Homey vibe, great food and coffee, friendly staff. Outdoor seating area next to a forest brook. Well worth a stop if you're in the area.

jack munk

This place needs more recognition. The best sandwiches and coffee in the middle of nowhere. There are no tables inside however so if its raining you'll either have to sit on the benches outside in the rain or in your car. Also its a small building and small parking lot so big vehicles beware.

A Google User

Great local business! Coffee is top notch and awesome food!

Patricia Bentz

Small, local business with great coffee and good food. Lots of character and showcases local artists.

Lisa Ritt

Thom Grisso

Convience store with sanwiches and coffee few and far between in this neck of the woods

Daniella

Yeah this place has a cool atmosphere... good coffee... good food... but the service is abhorrent. The only reason people go here is because it's the only trendy coffee place in Hunt Valley that isn't Starbucks. The people that work here will literally complain about making your coffee while they are making it. I have been here about ten times and not once have I received my order correctly. And then they act like it's your fault that they made it wrong. I ask for iced and they make it frozen. Ask for frozen they make it iced. The older woman that works here complains about pumping syrups into the coffee because she can "taste it" when she makes the drink. They forget soy milk all the time when people are lactose intolerant. They don't accept anything under $5 charges to credit cards. This is 2014 and you are a coffee shop- get with the times.

Cozy,personal, and tasty items too!

LGK Baltimore

My little hidden foodie place on the outskirts of Baltimore County. Taco fixation is on point at The Filling Station. Overstuffed authentic tacos with Spicy Brisket, cheese, cilantro, homemade salsa, guacamole

J Frye

Good coffee but the food and staff are inconsistent. One day my burrito is perfect the next it's falling apart, half filled, and they're out of guacamole. It's a cute spot with the potential to be great!

J.P. Seifert

Best chorizo burritos and tacos around. Love this place. They also have great music on Fridays during the summer.

Tyler Fogarty

Excellent coffee and quaint indoor and outdoor seating area made for a nice time.

Nicholas Krus

Super cute and cozy place. Such a hidden gem!

Ann Feeney

Excellent coffee and light meals. It's off the beaten path, but worth the trip. Flavorful Mexican light food and the interior is eclectic, with work by local artists for sale.

Anastasiya Khmelevskaya

Super cute and surprisingly they have a good amount of food items on their menu...and pretty diverse. My go-to for breakfast in the morning when I am in a rush. I also like to go there for lunch and sit outside. Haven't tried everything on the menu yet, but the quesadilla wasn't anything special. Their tomato mozzarella sandwich is delish though!

Trista C.

So warm and initing, artistic and quiet. The food is wonderful, barista's are knowledgeable and friendly. A little diamond in the ruff!

This use to be my go to for coffee. I’ve repeatedly hoped for the best from this establishment but it seems that they can’t find good baristas. The food is amazing but the coffee has been lacking for months now.

Justine Wyant

For a little tiny place they have the best drinks and food. There hasn't been any thing there I have no liked Everything is delicious and everyone working there is so friendly and polite.

Daniel Villegas

Food is decent. Coffee is great. Cool place to hangout for a little while

Thomas Stehr

Cute coffee stop on York Rd in northern Baltimore County.

Justin Gittings

Great food, friendly service

Ben Reynolds

After a Sunday walk on the NCR trail, this is the place, if you can find a parking spot. I only drink the coffee, small and black, but wife and son swear the eats are good and the special coffees are fine. Yes, it's a former gas station. Has the garage door to prove it.

tiderfish

Great coffee and a relaxing atmosphere.

Connie Dickerson

Love this place. Unique offerings.

Jackie Hewitt

This is a fun place to stop a grab a coffee to go! They have a very attentive staff and really tasty coffee, cookies and scones! Can't wait to stop here again! Yummy!

Beth Petrovich

Wonderful coffee drinks and amazing food, from the breakfast sandwiches to their tacos. The only drawback is the tiny parking lot, which sometimes inspires whacky parking arrangements, but if you go around peak hours, it's fine.

Dash Adamson

Rachael Britto

George Bangert

Cute little coffee spot tucked away from the hustle and bustle of timonium. Great coffee and cookies, with authentic home made Spanish food. This is my second favorite coffee spot in maryland.

Jeff Tiemann

The best espresso in the area without a doubt!

Kyle Trouland

Great coffee and definitely worth stopping by before you get into town. The food is great and I recommend the breakfast burritos. Chorizo is well cooked and spicy. Very authentic.

James trovato

I've been twice now and both times the coffee was amazing I'm going to have to come back and try every kind that they offer, I tried a smoked salmon on a whole wheat croissant and it was probably the best I've ever had I can't wait to try out more of the food they offer. The staff was extremely helpful both times I've been. The decor is fantastic and everything looks homemade

John Haydon

Great coffee and ambiance.

Adrian Wyatt

This place is the coffee shop of my dreams. It's beautiful, decorated like a restaurant in Austin, which is rare for MD, and the staff is great. Coffee is good but the atmosphere is really the bees knees. That Tim guy below me seems a little too prissy for this place, The coffee is fine and well worth the trip. Super rad and if I lived closer I'd be a regular. Oh... and the I also don't know what that other reviewer is talking about. There is absolutely inside seating. You can sit either outside or inside. It's not a stand, it's a great place with cool art.

Greta Thomas

Michael Dollbaum

Everything you want from an independent coffee shop. Good coffee. Friendly staff. Ask for a shot of espresso in your Mexican Hot Chocolate. You’re welcome. Sit under the lights in the afternoon. Sip slowly.

We stopped in for coffee, tamales, and burritos. The cheese tamale was cheesy and has some red sauce insides. I would pass on the burrito and try a taco on my next trip.

A fun little cafe in an old gas station. Great place to enjoy coffee and a pastry, sandwich, or even a taco or two! If it's warm, enjoy the outdoor seating by a little Creek and escape into some peace and quiet.

This place is so amazing, we just came from hiking at gunpowder falls state park and decided to go get some food! We stopped here and OMG its awsome, the atmosphere is great and its so home like. The couple that works there is really sweet! They also have lots of food items like foods for breakfast, lunch. They even have good Mexican food! This is a great place to eat breakfast/lunch or just to get some coffee and pastries!

This place is so cute! The food is really good, and the espresso drinks are ON POINT. I’m almost never way out in the county, but now I have a reason to drive out that way.

Thom Sinn

Love this out of the way, non-sterile, coffee and lunch stop!

Mark Montagna

Good people good coffee great food

William Langan

Stopped in the check it out. Really cool place with extremely friendly staff. Coffee here is great and the prices are really low. 5 dollar minimum card charges so being cash if you are only looking for a coffee. I plan on coming back to get something to eat the next time I am near it.

Meg

Love the atmosphere, coffee, various drinks, and yummy food. There is a pumpkin chai that I am obsessed with :) My husband loves the tacos. My fave cafe by far. Sitting outside here is pretty awesome!!

Jimena Paz

An old gas station repurposed into a quaint coffee shop that serves delicious coffee, some of the best homemade pastries to ever touch a taste bud. Then add tasty and filling breakfast and lunch sandwiches and wraps with an american/southwestern flair. This is the place to enjoy! The venue offers a small indoor and outdoor seating area but I highly recommend enjoying the outdoor seating which is nestled between the building (which is lined with a native flower garden) and a calming stream.

Doreen Wilson

Love the ambience especially beings able to sit outside under the trees and enjoy the fresh air and cool beeeze.

Staci Jendrek

Michelle Meininger

Cute, quaint, and great coffee and food

Devin Manahan

I was working in the area and stopped in quick for breakfast and coffee. The french vanilla latte was very good as well as the ham egg and cheese sandwich on wheat croissant. The prices are close to what you pay at a fast food restaurant except you get much fresher food! Since I enjoyed breakfast so much, I decided to stop back for lunch. I got another french vanilla latte and a chicken burrito and was very impressed. I am glad to have found this place!

Tim D

I asked for a Black Eye(Coffee with 2 shots) and the Batista gave me a quizzical look. They only had skim milk(no half and half) and the coffee(even with the 2 extra shots) was very weak. The cups and covers sucked. The place and location is very rustic/hole in the wall cute though. (9/2/13 @1pm) I may try back another time, but not for the coffee.

Brittany Arnett

This scenic drive leads to a cute little road side shop. Seating indoor with rustic decor and the outdoor tables are along a babbling creek. The Hazelnut Steamer and Mexican Hot Chocolate were both fantastic. The ham, egg and cheese on croissant way great and the chorizo breakfast was good too, although I would ask for double meat next time! Def will be back!

Fresh coffee and food. I would choose this coffee over Starxxxxs any given day! Super busy at 10:30 on a Saturday, so wait was a bit long, other than that, no complaints (;

Stacy Kurth-Ford

This is a quaint little coffee shop. The employees were very friendly. The iced mocha coffee was good and the scone tasty. The lunch menu was reasonably priced. The food looked great but didn't have the opportunity to taste it. I will definitely be going back when I'm in the area.
