You will see all the opinions of real people who are purchasing the services and products of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (Coffee Shop) in the state of Maryland.
Currently the business receives a score of 4.4 stars over 5 and that score has been calculated on 253 reviews.
You must have seen that it has an average rating is quite positive, and it's founded on a very large number of feddbacks, so we may be quite sure that the score is very reliable. If many people have bothered to rate when they are happy with the business, it works.
You know that we do not usually stop to place feddbacks when they are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Coffee Shop is classified in the category of Coffee shop.
Expensive. Good wifi. Good plugs, chairs. Not welcoming at the front counter. I've noticed many Jewish patrons, which I think is wonderful, it's nice to see people celebrate their traditions. I am Sikh, I have a long beard, whenever I come here I've noticed a lot of patrons wearing the Kipa stare at me, some times with disbelief. It almost feels as though they don't want me here. I wear a small head covering myself, to cover my really long hair. So I understand how they might feel in public when people see their Kipa. It's funny though when they stare, since we both have head coverings. Nice place, but just weird experiences.
It is a nice place to have coffee. Big space and many places to sit. I noticed that the service is not steady. Sometimes it's good and sometimes it's not. One time i waited for 20 mins for a regular bagel, just to heat it. The floor and windows were not clean. But as i said it's a nice place overall (there are not too many places in Pikesville to have coffee) and they have better days.
This was my first time at The Coffee Bean & Tea.... Very nice coffee cafe with very nice service...
It’s a really nice place. Great addition to the area. The reisterstown plaza area has changed so much in a very positive direction.
Nice employees, nicer ambiance than a starbucks
Blended I've coffees are second to none!!
Good service
Ordered hazelnut latte and it was delicious. I have been waiting for this place to open for months. Happy for the new addition coffee and tea place to the community
Better than Starbucks as a hang out but the WiFi is a hit or miss.
They're like a Starbucks that's kosher (the hashgacha is currently from Star-k), but maybe some of the food is more substantial. The once I was there I enjoyed what I got and the atmosphere, but I need to go again and learn more.
I like this place.
I love this place. The food and drinks are always amazing.
Brand new, very clean. Very courteous staff. But the prices are high. I got a raspberry iced tea and it was almost $4 for 16 oz where 1/3 is ice. I get lemonade iced teas at Starbucks and that’s how much the 20 oz run. I do like that there’s a drive thru.
Great coffee shop. The food is great, the store is clean, the staff is nice, and the service is great.
Great beverages and nice people
Great to finally have a good coffee shop in Pikesville!
Quick good
Amazing food. And good ambiance
A must stop when we visit Baltimore. Delicious drinks and relaxing atmosphere!
Awesome coffee awesome service they even opened the window a few minutes before opening time for us
When my wife, my six kids, and I first moved to Baltimore in late November of 2005 making yeridah from Katamon in Yerushalaim, the only kosher place open at 2:00 am when our flight arrived was this kosher Dunkin Donuts located at Reisterstown and Fallstaff. Being a fairly skilled chef, I was not impressed with the food, and, having been whelped from bottled milk to coffee at a very early age, I didn't much care for their coffee either. But ... at least the donuts tasted decent and the coffee was hot, only slightly burnt-tasting, and full of caffeine. I'm sad to say, however, that with fourteen more years of experience in the barista business, Dunkin's coffee is still not much better than a 2 out of 5. Some guys at my Hatzalah EMT training last night were kvelling about the new drive in window at this Dunkin Donuts. So, I stopped in this morning and ordered a small, black, freshly roasted, dark roast coffee and paid them their seemingly-good-priced $1.79. What I got, however, was about 8 ounces of the same burnt-tasting coffee I've always had there, which had very little depth to it and a less-than-satisfying mouth feel. Then, instead of tolerating that disappointment more than I would ever want to, I drove over to compare Dunkin Donut's dark roast with the dark roast coffee from The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf almost across the street. After getting my first hit of The Coffee Bean's dark roast, I closed the top on the Dunkin's debacle continued enjoying a better brew for breakfast, and probably for lunch, dinner and in-between meal snacks. The Coffee Bean apparently knows coffee a lot better than Dunkin Donuts knows coffee. No bitterness, deep flavor, nice mouth feel. And for less than half the price more, $2.49, I got a decent-sized cup of dark roast coffee that I wanted to drink to the bottom of the much larger cup. So, Dunkin may know a lot about good donuts, but they do not know a thing about good coffee. But, at least this location is kosher and available to our Jewish community for sweets and bagels with eggs, cheese, and vegetarian bacon. For a better, fuller dining experience, however, and a much better cup of dark roast, run over to The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. And, while your there, look for a nice looking lawyer in a white-straw, riverboat gambler's hat, and strike up a good conversation.
Food is good, but the service is deplorable. The staff is poorly trained (are they trained?), to the point that some of them can't work the registers, they don't know the menu, and they are utterly clueless about the basic tenets of good customer service. Also, in the evening around sunset it's nearly impossible to avoid seating with the sun in your eyes because the western exposure doesn't have window shades. If these things improve I'll rewrite my review. At the time of my visit, the kosher certification was reliable and up to date.
This is an absolutely wonderful local coffee and tea place. The service is always spectacular. As a tea lover, it's amazing to see so many different kinds of teas lining their wall! The choices seem endless! I was most excited that they were willing to make me London Fogs though it isn't explicitly on their menu. They also have lavender syrup which I highly recommend adding to the London Fog if you get it. Another fun experience was finding Jack Reacher coffee here. The coffee is based on a best selling book series and made perfect gifts. I've also had many delicious bagels at this place and they're great at making custom orders for breakfast bagels. Definitely recommend for the food and drink plus the lovely local feeling. I would recommend this place to everyone and anyone anytime of the year
I've been there 2 times. First time it was full and 'no baby saw my order ' Second Tim Tim was totally empty, and 'they forgot about my order. The food is ok. But they have to improve they service!!!
Breakfast wrap delicious. Service was slow, hopefully this is just growing pains. The flow of how the food works (grab from case and bring to front to warm up with prices on the wall and away from the case) was a little confusing at first.
Nice and clean friendly environment. Their hazelnut latte was delicious.
Amazing service and delicious food! Special thanks to Dovi
Incredible staff, very nice harmony between a cozy and modern shop. Satisfyingly tasty food with excellent drinks.
Great customer service
Has a cleaner, less factory like taste then Starbucks to me. I don't know what it is but something about it us just different
No fruit smoothies here.
Great coffee! And the people who work there are very friendly! Starbucks doesn't hold a candle to these guys!
Great customer service and good coffee
Better coffee and food than Starbucks. About the same price. My new favorite
They have a drink called the Malibu Dream that's the best just ask for extra powder
Try the Matcha!!!
Great coffee and cookie, but the panini Portobello was not a panini and the chocolate that was transferred from the baking sheet was strange. The staff was very friendly. I will be back for more coffee and to try a different food item.
Visit this location today. Was looking for good coffee and pastry without the hustel and bustle of a Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts. Location was clean, roomy, plenty of parking with a drive thru. Staff was friendly and helpful with a great atmosphere. Coffee and pastry we're both good and the young lady offered to warm pastry without my request. Also on the menu are sandwiches, salads, and soups. Price compatible to other shops offering this product. Would go to this location again.
Expensive, but good
Nice place. Very friendly staff....a bit expensive.
Love the atmosphere and coffee
Nice and decent
It's a really nice ambiance and the coffee is good. I wish they had more of a food selection.
So good
LA vibes!
Fantastic establishment! Great products! Awesome employees!
Husband loves there coffee
I love this place I go every day the food and drinks are amazing you will love it
I love the products, but they are still new to the area and the customer service could use some training.
Good drinks, decent prices, good atmosphere and I love the Saturday morning staff.
Nice shop very hard to order staff is not well trained
Great food, drinks, and service! Despite being busy, my order was taken and recieved in a timely fashion. The space is inviting and clean. Everything tasted great, I will definitely be back!
Recently was down in Baltimore and heard that The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf was an excellent spot for coffee. While I can't guarantee that the in-store experience is excellent, if it is anything like the drive through experience I am sure it is superb. I ordered a soy latte and an Americano w/ almond milk and both drinks we're excellent. The barista was friendly too! If my experience, albeit limited, is a reflection of the in-store experience than you can do no better than trying the CB&TL. Period.
This place has good coffee for the most part, but recently I have been noticing alot of curddling in the milk in my iced coffee. This has resulted in a less than desirable taste and appearance to my orders. A very recent visit confirmed that the milk is being left on the counter, which can result in unstable storage temperatures. I would have given 4 or 5 stars if not for the recent milk situation.
Good coffee good service
great coffee, well kept place, friendly staff!
Clean Chris classy place to have something good to eat
Great neighborhood coffee house.
Great ambience. Perfect for a meeting or get together.
Great light coffee smell, great food and beverages, and a great atmosphere to relax!
Overpriced for re-heated food. Drinks are good. The only outstanding thing about them is the drive through and that is slow sometimes.
The line to place your order was quiet slow, the food on the menu is pre-packaged and needs to be reheated. I had a egg white frittata that wasn't very good at all, unfortunately. They do not have free wifi, I ordered a tea that was brewed so long it tasted bitter and to make my experience less enjoyable, my tea, lid off and cooling down, was on the table beside mine when an employee sprayed the table with cleaning solution. He obviously saw my tea sitting there, he then proceeded to spray the table to the other side of me and managed to spray me as well. Just complete disregard, a total waste of money, and an entirely unenjoyable experience. I will surely not be returning.
Nothing beats an ice blended from coffee bean!
Nice ambience. Great aromas. Pleasant escape. So glad they are here.
Today was my first time here. This place is better than Starbucks. This is not up for debate. I got the Caramel Ice Blended drink and it has the perfect amount of coffee in it; not too much, not too little. I also got a Vanilla Yogurt Parfait. The staff were very generous and patient (I had to take two-minutes to decide what to order since I’m a newbie). Shoutout to Caleb. : )
Took FOREVER to fill an order of a bagel w/ cream cheese - mind you they don’t even spread the cream cheese. Drinks were good though.
The food I ordered was cold, even though I waited for it to be heated. When I asked the person who took my order of he could hear it up, he took off to make a whole new order. I was asked several times if all was ok. Finally, someone took my food and heated it up. Also, when giving my order, I asked what was in the breakfast wrap. The person had to ask after getting distracted a coupe of times. Probably a new employee who needed more supervision. The place is clean and spacious. But they need to get their act together. I didn't get coffee, but a friend who lives nearby told me he's been there a couple of times and the coffee was not fresh either time.
This is an amazing facility and full of incredible employee's!!!
Before I get into my review of my personal experience I would like to say the store was very clean, bathroom very clean, roomy, and it has the potential to be a really nice coffee spot. First and second experience was less than perfect. In my experience the staff this day was not friendly in fact I could barely get them to speak to me, they also had little knowledge about the coffee menu. I tried another day and pretty much the same experience this time I asked for less ice when I got the drink it was filled with ice. I told the guy I ordered less ice he said I don’t think so and got a spoon and scooped out all of the ice and gave me back the drink. I was very sad that day.
First day at the Coffee Bean. Was so excited for the opening and was not disappointed. Great service! Brett was amazing and so friendly. Coffee was great and the food was delish. The decor is trendy but not overdone and so much more roomy than Starbucks. I found my new coffee shop!
Amazing food and drinks, super friendly and helpful staff, and a gorgeous facility!
Place has a great selection and is spacious enough to meet with a friend or even a group of people. Great spot overall
Great service and delicious coffee
Amazing!
Love this place! Good quick service every time, and always served with a smile. Great place to sit and do work, as well as catch up with old friends.
Finally a coffee bean & tea Leaf! Don’t blame for being biased(being that I am from California) this is my favorite coffee chain joint! Very nice layout and atmosphere, helpful and friendly employees. Just a heads up it is a really busy place!
Amazing Coffee; great food, tons of seating. Highly recommended.
Great ambiance, good food :)
Coffee was not good
Nice place but kosher so no meats are sold.
Wonderful atmosphere and excellent food.
Really enjoyed! Just wish there were more egg-free options.
Don't care for the portions or prices
Great place. Excellent service
Went her for the first time yesterday in search of a dank coffee and this place delivered. Today was my 2nd trip and it's even better than my last. Great vibes from the staff, good price, and little wait time even during prime traffic hours. Needless to say I have found my new spot!
My first time..This place is awesome
Typical chain coffee shop fair with certified kosher food.
Very nice nice place to have meetings
Great vibe, decor, and drinks. Also a nice selection of foods and baked items
Eh. Prefer Starbucks.
4 people working, no one inside. Couldn't get service and when she came, she was talking to colleagues and messed up the order. Cold brew latte was pure sugar, gross.
Would love more food options, without eggs!
Best ever.
Love this place!!
Kosher
Good beverages and snacks on the go .
I like this cafe but a few things annoyed me. 1. it took around 30 minutes to make me and my family drinks which is annoying because people in the back of us got their order before us. 2. They are kind of overpriced. But other than that they have a beautiful cafe and pretty good food.
Great modern feel. Coffee woke me right up this morning.
New, clean old country meets trendy feel... Staff was friendly and helpful... Coffee was perfect and the cinnamon bagel was awesome...
Very nice place, spacious, nice service
Great atmosphere, coffee and tea. Tried the Peach Jasmine Cold Brew Tea and the Midnight Mocha Cold Brew and highly recommend both.
First impression: So far I like it, good quality tea and a cozy place to relax.
Amazing
Good coffee mixed with a great area for relaxation. The service is on point too.
great coffee and service
Nice place to have a meeting
Really good coffee. The people who work here are really friendly and nice.
Great service
A complete coffee shop and more. Extremely homey and well designed and the food is awesome.
Great coffee
Nice coffee shop. Lots of other food too
Very hip kosher coffee shop! They have lots of coffee, espresso, hot, iced, and blended drinks. They also have dairy milk alternatives!! They also have yummy snacks, breakfast sandwiches, and baked goods. Right on Reisterstown Rd. Lots of parking. Drive thru! Highly recommend.
Fast and friendly service ☕️
Good healthy Coffee and tea
Coffee is strong and bold. Love it
Great service very nice atmosphere and decent coffee with a great selection of food and drink.
better than Starbucks
Amazing food and beverages at a reasonable price always delivered with a smile by amazing employees
I like the coffee and the tea it is good
Great place if you are a kosher vegan I am not
Best latte’s.
Lovely place
It was good overall.
Best place for a quick business meet in town !!!
Best coffee i have ever had
Nice new cafe setting. Pastries and other foods were uninspiring, but the coffee was very good.
The food is good. The line is long
Ordering from the drive in is difficult . They probably cannot hear the order repeated several times because it is always wrong. Better to order inside.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff, nice atmosphere. Mostly importantly GOOD COFFEE!
If it's been a day, a week, or a month since they've seen me, the baristas & cashiers are friendly, personable, and quick to recognize and greet me. Once we perfected my espresso order, it's only not been perfect once, and that one was still pretty darn good. The selection of food from Chef Dan is amazing; you want healthy? No prob. You want greasy spoon? Got it. Comfort food? Coming right up. Sure it's all reheated (ok, not the fresh veggies with hummus! Or the cheesecake . . . ), but they've put in the work to keep it fresh-ish tasting & served up quickly. There's a games corner, branded tschotchkes, bar seating, family seating, lounge seating, tables for two, decadent iced blended or hot sweet drinks, and for the brief & interminable week that we traded coffee for tea (no, don't ask, I don't remember the thought process) that tasted good too. The *only* knock I can think of is that occasionally the drive thru takes longer than you might expect, but considering how the quality kicks DD's and the Mermaid's butts from here to Sunday, I'd say it's worth the sit.
I was super sad when this place left the east coast years ago, I go every time I'm in Southern California and I love them! I was super stoked to see this location open in Maryland, and near me! Its great, nice new clean location, spacious place with plenty of seating, 2 unisex bathrooms and a fantastic selection of food and drinks. The staff was awesome too, very friendly and welcoming. One of my absolute favorites is the Black forest. Its a frozen coffee blended with maraschino cherries and chocolate covered coffee beans, sweet and with a little extra caffine boost from the beans :) I tried a pistachio muffin too and it was wonderful. I will definitely be back!
Great help. Good food
Great place, friendly staff, good food and drink, kosher (and cholov Yisroel on request).
Pleasant staff and beautiful atmosphere! Definitely a new favorite spot and I can't wait to go again!
A very pleasant and spacious shop, at my visit it was severely understaffed. A ten minute wait to place an order was met with the disappointing news that the wonderful-sounding portabella vegetable wrap listed on the menu board, for which I had stood in line, was not available. I unhappily left without trying food or beverage.
Many cholov yisroel options.
