5/30/19. Was there maybe two weeks ago, on a Friday afternoon. Order a cocktail. Want do that again. Worst I ever had.. Maybe bartender didn’t come in until night.idk. Order wings they where good, hot and fresh. Because we came mainly for the drinks my friend and I left earlier then expected. I will come back at night to see if the drinks got any better.... oh yes I did not like the fact it was a homeless person just chilling in the establishment.

I would like to be able to rate 5 stars because there are so many things I love about this place. The atmosphere is homey in a good way and I have received exceptional service a few times however the food is allways extremely slow and items are constantly missing from the menu . On more than a few occasions I was met with apathetic and rude service. I will probably continue to go because it is typically a good experience whenever the owner is present but he would probably be disappointed to know what takes place in his absence .

Forgive my manners. You know how when something is so good your forget you are out in public. Oh wait, that's just me? It doesn't happen a lot but this dish was worthy of such a pleasure. This fish and grits was phenomenal! The fish was lightly breaded and perfectly seasoned. The grits? Do you see that sauce? It was so flavorful. Terra Cafe is a lovely spot and great place to catch up with a friend.

Always a great meal here! They also have entertainment on various nights and a cozy lounge as well as outdoor lounge area which has a backdoor to the cigar lounge a few doors down...a complete gem in Charles Village!

I ordered their Reuben. It was edible. Guess I'm used to the delicatessen style of this sandwich because theirs pales in comparison. The meat was salty, cut thick and seemed like it was fried. There wasn't enough kraut or dressing for my taste. Forgot to mention it was a panini. Didn't look picture worthy but now that I think about it that's why I should have taken a pic. Meh. They did have live music in the back playing jazz.

Rude waitress / bartender as she introduced herself. So not hospitable as owner. Very abrupt discouraged menu items, did not get order correct, short changed my NYC guest. Just totally embarassing as I recommended to take my family here after church. Mac and cheese dry tasted like box instead of home made and appeared to be old. Personally she should stay behind bar not a good look for your establishment. Perhaps she was having a bad day. We may not be back again as a result. Old food, bad service equals take our money elsewhere. She evem deterref us from some items on menu which "Are not things we are known for or good" which was helpful because who wants bad food. So who can mess up wings. We still tipped though she did not deserve

I have been to the place before had great service and food but the last two times I went the service was horrible and I was given uncooked chicken. And had to wait over 30 minutes for sweet potato fries on a night that's was not busy. I always love to help my fellow black business owners but if the staff if bad then that's a red flag.

Terra Cafe is an individually owned and designed cafe. It's not a chain. We went there because the owner sponsors her grandson's basketball team. The place has nice African motif art works, a painted ceiling that looks like the sky, and good, fresh food. I had a chicken cheese steak without the bread and with sautéed veggies. It was quite good, although there was a piece of chicken bone in the chicken. My wife had an omelette. It didn't have the exact ingredients that she requested, but she enjoyed it all the same. There isn't a parking lot. We found metered street parking very near the entrance.

Took the recommendation of a Baltimore local for a good happy hour location. With a handful of options given me, Terra Cafe' was what I decided on. 1st off, parking can be a challenge. If you aren't able to parallel park Terra Cafe' wont be a good choice for you. The parking garage is a few blocks away, so there's only street parking. The bar area seats about a decent 5 persons comfortably, but there is table seating throughout. The ambience was very welcoming. The artistic design gave it the new black renaissance feel. The music started out just right, but for whatever reason they decided to crank it up, and that was before 8:00p.m, which made it difficult for conversation. Would have been cool if it was transitioning to a dance scene, but it wasn't. Not that early anyway. I didn't get a chance to indulge from the menu, but willing to swing back by for a bite to eat. It appeared they had a pretty good selection. All in all, the volume level of the music is why I wouldn't give it 4 star rating, so dont let that stop you.

Those chicken and waffles were a joke- these little chicken wings wit microwave waffles I’ve had way better than that at a cheaper price. That very same day I went to Rotunda Cinemas those were some dayum chicken and waffles huuuuuneeeee the bomb baby.

This is the 2nd time that I Waited 45 mins for a cup of cream of soup, fish wrap and corn beard. It wasn’t busy, no wait time when I walked in. The ONLY reason why I continue to patronize this place is because the food is good. Unfortunately, by the time I get back to the office I can’t even enjoy it because I spent my lunch break waiting.

This was the 2nd experience with Terra Cafe. Ordered Jerk Chicken which came out and was only baked chicken. Couldn’t find a drop of jerk seasoning or rub on the chicken. They didn’t have rice and peas so I settled for a rice pilaf, which was a very small portion, and salty salty as ever. I ordered Mac n cheese which for some reason tasted like it was infused with sugar and carrots. I don’t know what to make of this. The environment is nice, but today’s food was not so stellar. Not going to completely write Terra Cafe off just yet. Hope next time for a better experience.

Unprofessional owner ,obnoxious bartender and poor excuse they call food. My advice the next time you think of going to Terra Cafe just make that good ole'360 and go to Taste This Baltimore instead. TasteThis Baltimore (102 E 25th St) has AMAZING FOOD and of great quality. I so wish I would have saved my money wasting time at Terra Cafe and gave it all to their competitor. I never had to leave one restaurant to go to another. I will never recommend nor visit Terra Cafe EVER again.

Horrible service. The manager was extremely unprofessional and nasty after we sent our drinks back that where literally not edible then refused a refund when we didn’t drink any of the drinks she served us. The other bartender on duty was professional and made us drinks and also apologized for the lack of professionalism from her manager. However, we tipped before hand and the manager refused to give the tip back even tho her service was horrible and she literally did nothing for us. Some person came out and made me a drink to makeup for this horrible experience that I assume was the owner.However , despite his efforts this was my first time here for my mother’s birthday and me nor the 5 other people I was with will nerver patronize this establishment again because of the bar manager

Food alright nothing to write home about. My group had a real ugly experience with the owner. There are two lovely hostesses there. They was the bright spot of the place. That is who the star is for. I WOULD NEVER GO BACK THERE. We black owners have to do better. THEY NOT GOOD FOR LARGE GROUPS. YOU MIGHT NOT EVER GET WAITED ON! DAMN THEY FORCE YOU TO GIVE IT A STAR!

I really like this place! It's cozy and comforting. The food is delicious!!! I do recommend placing your order ahead of time as food is cooked to order. You can also door dash or eat-in. I'm a huge fan of supporting small/independent businesses especially black ones. I found the staff to be warm and friendly. They also have a happy hour and who doesn't love a good one.

The food was delicious and the staff are great! Even though Terra Cafe is listed as an American food place, they have some of the best Jamaican jerked chicken I have ever had stateside. I got the yard bird, my wife the jerked chicken... Both were awesome! I plan on stopping by the next time I am in Baltimore.

The atmosphere was great. Small intimate setting that had a lot of atmosphere. There was live music tonight(Thursdays)and happy hour from 5 to 7. The meal that I got was the Turkey Wings with mixed veggies and mashed potatoes. The food left a little for me to desire because it was every dry. The veggies were cool and the potatoes had nothing on them either. But this would not discourage me from trying it again just would try a different meal. The wait staff was overwhelmed it seemed because she was the only person working the entire floor but she kept her cool and was very nice.

Nothing Short of Delish! I have located my favorite Wings from them! I ordered the West Indian Jerk Wings w the Veggies and I'm in Wing Heaven! I was so impressed w the quick service that I took a tour of the upstairs area that I'm totally impressed w and sending rental referrals their way. There was a very very nice lady up there working and shared a lot of info regarding current events and the rental process! Great Customer Service is EVERYTHING!

Worst food ever!!!! Everything was soggy and I got there when the lady was just bringing it from the kitchen to the counter. The bacon was soggy and was not hot, I get not everyone likes to use traditional bacon but like I said it was soggy had absolutely no crisp . I asked for eggs and got none but paid for them. The portions are also tiny. Their tea was bitter. Was not pleased for the price. My sister got the French toast and also was not pleased because it soggy!!! The people were extremely nice though.

The food is really good but honestly as other reviewers posted our black owners and servers have got to do better. The service was horrible. Yes, the tip is already added on the bill but that doesn't mean you don't attempt at giving good service. My girlfriend and I were the only ones there and our waitress sat at the little seating area near the bar and was on her phone the whole time. My friend was so upset at our lack of service we left without finishing our meal. Even when we walked out she didn't even acknowledge us.
