By far one of my favorite places to go in Baltimore while I was in grad school and since moving back. Great food options for brunch! Adult drinks are flavorful, fun, and refreshing. Only downside is that it closes at 3pm so no dinner menu. Wait can be ~20 minutes or so during busy times.

Ashley Moorefield

Food here is always so so good! Always worth the trip! Great staff as well!

Howard Sobkov

Breakfast and lunch. Few places are equal to the excellent experience at Miss Shirley's. Great also because I met Miss Shirley when in high school working for Pimlico Hotel catering. All are welcome and one feels at home when going there. Healthy to not so healthy southern influenced dining

Chad Blaker

The food is always amazing and on busy days they move people respectfully and without feeling rushed. Thank you for serving us a special Mother's day!

Sean Lombardi

Wow this place is fabulous. Had Keylime cheesecake stuffed French toast. And the funky monkey bread. The omelets looked fantastic.

My favorite - Get Your Grits On

Robert Royster

I've only been here 1 time but I'll definitely be returning! The food and service was outstanding. Can't wait to try more items from the menu.

Tiffany Adams

I've visited Miss Shirley's twice in the past three weeks. One visit was about 11:30 a.m. on a weekday and the second visit was about 11:15 on a Saturday. The first time, Amy was my server and her suggested menu item was great. The second visit I ordered the salmon and grits...delicious! The Saturday visit was more hectic (expected!), but the wait still wasn't bad. I always enjoy when I go, and the servers and service are excellent.

Mariah Murphy

Everything was so delicious I forgot to take photos before we dug in! Miss Shirley's plays with flavor combinations in a delightful way. Portions are huge for the most part, so it's a great place to share dishes. I went for brunch on a Sunday morning, and it was quite busy, but the staff manage the crowd well. Our server was perfect, attentive without being obtrusive. I can't wait to go again!

Jasmine Powell

I was hungry for breakfast and mimosas so a friend suggested Miss Shirley's. I ordered the mimosa (delicious and strong!) and the shrimp and grits with a side of bacon. I cannot remember what my friend ordered. But let's get into these shrimp and grits. You get a succulent, well-seasoned shrimp (tail on), laid atop a bed of grits, laid on top of a fried green tomato. All of that placed on some type of sauce (didn't care for the sauce it was kind of sweet) but the food was very good. I can't wait to get back and try other things on the menu.

Rochelle Saunders

An OMG, this MUST be Heaven! Fantastic Southern Comfort Food and desserts! Plus the best Ice Cream, locally made by Taharka Brothers. Very attractive, clean, comfortable setting, pretty umbrella tables outside, extensive menu and generous portions. The best Fried Green Tomatoes I ever had, peach cobbler home fried potatoes crisped with carmelized onions. Hannah, our waitress was as good as the food! Can't wait to go back!

Simone .martini

Wow. What a great place. Consistently good. The place was busy, we walked in w no reservations, and only waited a few minutes. We were sited upstairs, it was small, quaint, and able to have a conversation, which is very hard in most restaurants. Andrew the waiter was spot on point. Looked like he was trained in a 5 stars restaurant in Europe. He was busy, yet very attentive. Great job to their training program.

Dee Deigh

Stopped by for breakfast and had the chicken and waffle. It was very delicious. The waffles were fluffy and the chicken cooked to perfection. The wait staff were very friendly. I also like the fact that before I place my order I was asked if I have any food allergies and when I mentioned my food allergies, a gentleman came out to asked about any concerns or questions I may have. Very attentive.

Chana S

Cinnamon bun was ok, could have used a whole banana. There were 4 small slices, that doesn't make it Funky MONKEY. Omelet was good but needed more veggies. Hashbrowns were great, nice and crispy. Skewer on bloody mary, Bay-O not good, but drink was

Ean Carroll

Really big menu with what seems to be a whole lot of great choices. The food was amazing. The service was pretty good as well. I'll definitely be back when I'm in town!

Josh Wright

Hannah was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. She made sure that all needs were met for my visit and assured that I would be satisfied with my meal. The kitchen did not disappoint! Food was amazing and portions were extremely filling. I will be returning in the near future! Thanks for an awesome brunch!

Cheryl Robinson

Fabulous Brunch! Love it.

Jane Swift

Fantastic food and service at this iconic Baltimore place. The gluten free pancakes were to die for and the place is extremely clean and run really efficiently - keeping people moving without making you feel rushed. A plus from me

Tina Harrison

Nearly excellent! We thoroughly enjoyed our food. The Establishment was very clean the staff was extremely personable and the food was great. There was but one exception, the strawberries were cooked inside of the pancakes, and my son was not advised of this advance.

April Asuncion

Always a Baltimore favorite! Plenty of delicious choices. Wonderful service. Thank, Gabby!

Akua Boatema

I absolutely love Miss Shirley’s cafe. The food always fresh and tasty. I love their Funky Monkey Bread topped banana slices and dusted with the right amount of powdered sugar and cinnamon, Chicken ‘N Cheddar Green Onion Waffle dusted with Cajun spice, and Freshly Squeezed Strawberry Lemonade. This restaurant is wheelchair accessible and the staff are very friendly. Check it out.

Linda Stupi

Great Food and fabulous service. Kay our server made sure everything was perfect during our visit.

Chanel Green

Absolutely delicious!! The lemond pound cake french toast was the best french toast I ever ate. Please think about adding it as a regular item.

AX S

Food is always enjoyable and experienced really fabulous service at our last visit at the Roland Park location.

Alan Arrowsmith

I have been a long time fan of Miss Shirley's, both the Roland Park and Annapolis locations (I've never been to the one in downtown). On my most recent trip I got the coconut cream French toast. It was great! One thing to keep in mind about Miss Shirley's is that it is very busy on the weekend, so plan to wait for a table those days.

Edwin Evans

Great restaurant! Unbelievable chicken and waffles!

kevin leslie

First time...food was amazing

Audrey Link

I have had breakfast here 3 times. The food is fresh. There is a nice variety of items on the menu. The prices are not outrageous. For two people our bill was about $40. The service was good. Attentive but not to the point that it constantly interrupts your meal and conversation. It is nice that they ask you, before taking your order, if you have any food allergies that they need to be aware of. The food is not outstanding enough to become one of my regular weekend spots, but it is definitely worth a try if you have never been there.

Tanya Dunsey Filson

Miss Shirley's has consistently delicious food. We went to celebrate a special occasion and had great cocktails, delicious breakfast, and solid service.

Kathy Douglas

First-time visit! Delicious!!! Suoer-friendly staff! Can't wait to go back!

Laarden Baldwin

The chicken gravy biscuit omelet was awful. The chicken was old and hard the meat was discolored. I usually never have problems here. The manager did attempt to make it right in no way and he never apologized or came back to check on my table.

Katie Fennell

Love love love Miss Shirley's! I've always gotten fast and friendly service and if you can't decide what to try, the staff are very knowledgeable and will gladly offer excellent suggestions. You can't go wrong with any of the breakfast items. I especially enjoy anything with fried green tomatoes.

Charlotte Stalls

Had a wait but service was good. Scrambled eggs were bland but monkey bread was delicious.

James Clemmons

Wonderful creative menu and excellent bloody Mary's!

Jamison Ousley

It's not my favorite brunch spot in Baltimore, but it's pretty close. As a displaced Southerner, I find their attempts at southern cuisine refreshing, if not totally spot-on (Do you even grit, Baltimore?). What makes up that Gap is a consistently professional staff and one of the most ambitious Bloody Maries I've ever seen. You have to try at least once. I recommend the chicken and waffles or the shrimp and grits.

Danielle Blount

It was some good southern food. Service was fast. Could be a bite more seasoned. Don't knock it till u try it.

J C

Amazing staff, amazing menu, and even better food. Miss Shirley's uses the finest quality ingredients and cooking styles to ensure a delicious meal is delivered to each guest.

Van Furrow

Awesome food at Miss Shirley's! The Everything But The Bagel Cream Cheese Biscuits pictured are stellar! I posted a picture of the Funky Monkey Bread, as so you can see how large the tasty dish is! The final picture is the Amy's Favorite Bagel and a side of bacon. 5/5 would recommend!

Mandy Weinman

There is always something divine and unexpected at Miss Shirley’s. I am always excited to see what the monthly specials are because there is inevitably something that is to die for! Their attention to each customer - especially those with food allergies - sets the standard upon which all other restaurants should work to meet. For those looking for a great meal in Charm City - you’ve found your spot!

Stephann Ibrahim

My siblings and I took my mother here the day before mother's day for brunch. Absolutely loved the food and also their local ocean city tea selection. The waiter was wonderful and he made sure that my nephew who has a food allergy to peanuts was not served anything but related. Thank you guys for a great time and friendly athmosphere. The portions of food were perfect and definitely worth it! Also the fruits and veggies that were served were fresh. Thanks again.

John Loftus

I could not be more happy with my first experience ever at the restaurant. James, our server, made the experience even better. He was extremely attentive to our needs, very knowledgeable of the menu and was willing to give great suggestions. He double and triple checked to make sure we had no food allergies. The food came out nice and hot and the portion sizes were perfect for our stomachs. This opportunity to visit one the places I saw on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives could not have been better. It exceeded my expectations beyond my wildest dreams.

Zachary Lovett

This place is amazing. Cozy with great food! Our waitress Hannah was wonderful. She had solid recommendations and not a drink at the table was allowed to go dry. Highly recommend!!

Ryan Markoff

My wife and I took the family to this restaurant on a Sunday. She had heard many good things. There was was a decent wait, but there is a waiting area/room and seating outside. The menu was interesting and relatively diverse. I had monkey bread and fried "caddies" (potatoes and seafood) as appetizers, and both were good-very good I also ordered a fried chicken sandwich, which looked awesome. However, the sandwich was underseasoned, some hot sauce readily available on the table was a must and the roll was good. I did expect very good to great food based on the wait, it was good.

Ali Ali

Great service food was below average just a hype

Luke Getto

Friendly staff, great food selection is an understatement. The cocktails are delicious. This place is over the top amazing.

Jen Lu

Baltimore must-have brunch! There is always a wait on the weekends (sometimes up to 40 min) and the prices are definitely high but its still worth trying. I really enjoy the bacon grits!.

Keirah

Miss Shirley’s was wonderful! Very little wait even though we went on a weekend afternoon. Kind waiters and very good breakfast sandwiches. Will be back very soon

Jaclynn Ashley

we hadn’t been to miss Shirley’s in a long time. The new fall menu has some intriguing items but we decided to stick with what was tried and true for us. The food didn’t disappoint. Emma was a great server and we look forward to coming back sooner than later. Thank you!

Ashley Cimmino

I was kindly greeted by the hostess this morning and promptly seated. The restaurant has ample seating (and parking behind the restaurant as well as diagonally across the street). My server, James, quickly greeted me offering beverages, the day’s specials and asked about any allergies. He offered suggestions on the menu and shared some of his favorites as well as patrons’ favorites. The fair trade coffee was smooth and bold, and I was topped off a couple times during my breakfast. The kitchen prepared meals quickly and the plates that came out were stunning, mine included. Portions are generous, leaving me with no room for dessert, though the options were tempting. Overall the restaurant is managed and run efficiently. It was quiet when I arrived and the tables quickly began to fill but still, things moved smoothly. This was an enjoyable meal and atmosphere. If/when I return to Baltimore, I would definitely come back here. Highly suggest for meat eaters and non-meat eaters alike.

Taylor Gillen

Now this is an excellent place to get breakfast, lunch and brunch — many are calling it the best in the area! Their menu takes the traditional idea of breakfast and builds on it in the best way, adding sophistication and a southern flare. Many customers are regulars, and the service is warm and welcoming. And you can see them on tv shows and magazines! This is a great stop in Baltimore.

Tyla Lang

Don’t believe the hype. I visited this Miss Shirley’s location on Saturday October 5th a little after 2pm. I ordered multiple different dishes with my family such as the Maryland omelet and the chicken strips and waffles along with the French toast. Our server took longer than expected to even great us but she was fairly nice. The chicken was a little dry and the omelet didn’t wow me, the waffles and French toast were decent. I really expected more especially since I had heard so much about Miss Shirley’s. The atmosphere was really nice though, I’ll probably be back just to try something else on the menu.

Serena Norris

The food was excellent and the flavor was excellent I like the arrangement on the plate very professional, this I enjoy and the service, it was very good Thank for being g there for the people

Marion Nelson

I came here for Memorial Day lunch and thought the service and food were great. I had the Wake Up Call drink which was deliciousss (coffee, coconut milk, espresso vodka). There was a short wait to get a table outside but I had a drink while I waited and was seated quickly. The server- I don't remember his name- was wonderful and really friendly. I rarely have ever been asked if I have a food allergy and it is one of the first things he asked

Jacob P

A landmark cafe, definitely worth the drive. Had the strawberry and

HeadCovered

First time trying this restaurant and should not have ordered the crazy french toast dish. Waay over the top; trying to impress and wow without success. I would have preferred a normal size sliced bread prepared to perfection. What I got was all crust, drowning in melted whipped cream and stuffed with something not memorable; couldn't finish it. $14.99 is what I do recall. Not sure if I would rush to return.

Eli Leek

Miss Shirley's has amazing food and even better staff. Chris, our waiter, was super on top of it. He made sure we had everything we needed. Big high five to you man. 10/10

Dontaye Herbert

1st times I've found an out door eatery with amazing breakfast a lil on the pricey side but the taste of the food was working it 3 french toast eggs and a sausage bill was $38.95 so ion know if I'm going back

Mackenzie Schaum

Very friendly service, my fiancé and I were seated quickly (weekday mid morning) and the staff was caring and attentive. Our food was very good, but sides and appetizers seemed a little over priced- we ended up only getting entrees to keep the bill reasonable. The food was definitely delicious, but I seem to agree with other reviews in that I wouldn’t make this a regular spot- we actually had a hard time picking something off the menu. Regardless, i am glad to have experienced the much talked about Miss Shirley’s

Scott Rabalais

Always great quality food and service. Daily specials are great too. Never been let down on either at Miss Shirley's...

Katharine Linke

Loved my stop at Miss Shirley’s! The menu is overwhelming but our server Aaron was really helpful narrowing down our choices. I really wanted their famous coconut cream filled French toast but opted for the smaller but still delicious cinnamon danish pancakes (short stack). Everyone around us was having chicken and waffles which also looked amazing. I was there on a Monday morning around 11a and the place was full although we didn’t have to wait. I can only imagine what it’s like on a weekend!

Jim Wolf

A great, great place to be for brunch. Great food and atmosphere.

Anissa Hunter

The staff is always friendly and the food is always fantastic! Blacken shrimp and grits on fried green tomatoes was a smash hit and those everything biscuits are awesome!

Jewel Will

Sharon was a cool waitress, food was super as usual! Manger always checks on the tables too

madalykat

Absolutely amazing! I'd drive all the down to Maryland from Connecticut just to eat here!

Essy Freed

Price, food, atmosphere, staff ..all above average

Christine Todd

My friend had read about this place before our trip. She even picked up a brochure at a rest stop on the way there. So we went for a late lunch as we were seeing a show later. Started with a couple signature drinks while waiting. Then had the most amazing food inside! No way could we finish it all. There was not one thing we ordered that was not perfect. Loved it and it was reasonable for such a tourist area.

bri carter

Service was slow but food was magnificent.

Monikai Tinson

I've been wanting to go here for some time and I was not disappointed. The food was delicious and the staff was super attentive. My only issue was with the bathroom door which was heavy and that just means I should hit the gym. We went the day after Easter and the a lemon pound cake French toast special which my partner choose. It was honestly dessert for breakfast and it came with three slices of cake French toast covered in berry syrup, sugar, butter cream icing, and cinnamon. Very decadent and heavy. I chose the two egg meal with bacon grits which was the polar opposite. Just savory breakfast goodness. We also got the Califire balls which were super yummy. Overall I'm extremely satisfied with the whole experience.

Mark Layton

The place is nice. Great chicken and waffles. Our server, Julie, was very friendly.

Chantel Edwards

The food was amazing! My first time having savory waffles; they were delicious and paired well with the fried chicken. The Apple cider mimosa was also really good. My server (Gabby) was super sweet. Overall really good first time.

Wanda Pate

Good food, especially the deviled eggs with crabmeat! Yum!! Visited during restaurant week, but had to ask for that particular menu which was limited and didn't have much of anything interesting that I wanted to try so I stuck to the traditional menu, which didn't disappoint!

Dom Paylor

Great experience! Chris will keep your cup full withouts even asking!!! And its a Sunday and very busy and he was still able to keep up and be very attentive! Mrs shirleys is a great place, so great I'm not even mad that I had to park 2blocks away!

Robert Knecht

I was here on a business trip and was taken here for lunch. Really enjoyed it, their food and variety. The group who I was eating lunch with all was very complimentary about how good the dishes were. For an appetizer we had the deviled eggs with crab and they were delicious. I had a salad and soup for lunch both were excellent

Christy

I love coming to the Flagship Miss Shirley's in Roland Park! There's free parking in a lot across the street, outdoor seating available, and a huge selection of brunch items! Highly recommend!

Terrell Moore

Excellent food and service I'm definitely going back there

jta6443

It was great! Get the soft shell crab stack! So good! Friendly staff too

Lynnise Norris

Good service and large servings

Darian Banks

SO YUMMY! Our server, Michaela, was very friendly and knowledgeable. The menu has so many things to offer but she recommended the chicken and waffles and we were not disappointed. I need to be rolled home but will attempt to waddle. Thank you Miss Shirley’s for great food and service.

Bob Pownall

My friend and I were looking for a place for Sunday brunch. I've been wanting to try Miss Shirley's for some time, so I suggested that and my friend agreed. We got to Miss Shirley's just after noon. Despite the large number of people waiting, we got a table relatively quickly. Our waitress, Cathy, was attentive without being overbearing. She was able to answer our questions promptly, and had some good suggestions for us. Our orders arrived promptly, and the food was delicious. As I said, I'll be back!

Jessica Wood

I cane with a group of 20 and the waitress was amazing. I got the chicken Chesapeake and i ate all of it. My food was great some people sent the food that they had back just because they didnt like it ant the food is priced crazy amounts. They should also tell people that they charge for substitution

Darcia Marie

The best brunch I have had in a long time. I ordered the fried chicken southern skillet. So much flavor in every last bite. This place can get a bit crowded. We waited 45 minutes but it was well worth the wait. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our waitor was awesome. He kept us content while waiting for our food. He made sure the coffee kept coming. For first time experience here, I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. So many items to choose from. Very unique. Will be back again soon. They have another at inner harbor I hear but I've only been to this one so far. Awesome job guys! Thanks for wonderful experience!

Dennis O'Neil

Coconut creme stuffed french toast. Just say yes.

Michelle Jamerson

A friend of mine recommended this to us. We didn't want to deal with parking in the inner harbor so we tried this location and it was more than we expected. The service was excellent, the atmosphere was nice and laid back and the food was out of this world. We will be back every visit when in the Baltimore area.

Brian Brockett

While I don't love all of the items on the menu (not a huge fan of seafood for breakfast), everything on the menu is solid. The service is excellent and as long as you pick the right time you can get in and get out pretty quickly. (Edit/Reply to Miss Shirley's - We'll definitely be back. My family's favorite place to get breakfast!)

Marc Grossblatt

Went to Miss Shirley's for brunch and had a very good hamburger. Kayla was our server as she gave us outstanding service. If anyone is looking for a good weekend Brunch please visit Miss Shirley's cafe in Roland Park.

Derbin Cabell Jr

if you get a biscuit that comes with any meal you need to have gravy on it. It's unfortunately too big and dry not to have anything moist on it. I had the Bayou omelet which has a good taste but it too is a little too dry. The collard greens that came as the side were very very good. I like Miss Shirley's in general but I'm never really overwhelmed by them.

I AM Teleshia

My first time and the food was amazing! I had the "get your grits on" and our waitress, Julie gave us superb customer service.

Rho Tylers

Good food and decent prices. Staff has always been pleasant.

David Harris

The best breakfast and brunch food. Creative menu, really good and attentive service, too.

lady kenja

- Have always had good experiences at Miss Shirley's. Good food, good service, pleasant atmosphere. Only issue is parking but I still truly enjoy taking friends/family here for a good, reasonably priced meal.

William Nerenberg

It's a fine place with good food which used to come in such amounts that I doubt more than 50% of diners could actually clean their plates. After being open for 10+ years, a bit of the bloom is off the rose. Quality still seems to be there, service is excellent and ingredients still seem high-quality. Crowds are smaller as we were able to get a table without waiting. I like the imaginative menu which tends to make breakfast into culinary art. Miss Shirley's is now a Baltimore institution, a very supportable one.

Bill Purcell

This was my 1st visit to this well known place at the recommendation of family in the area. I was amazed at the variety of the menu and really pleased with my selection of French toast with a side of grits. We had 2 young children with us and they were able to get food that suited them also. I was able to park right in front of the restaurant but did have to pay a meter. There is free parking nearby and behind the restaurant also. Was seated immediately and got great service the whole time. This is an amazing place with an amazing menu that everyone should try. I did not have a drink but the cocktail menu is also amazing.

S N

This was our first time here at Miss Shirley’s! The food was very Delicious and our server John was very pleasant

Tiara Reayu

This place is definitely worth the hype. We had a huge party of 14 on a Sunday afternoon and we're still seated in about 30 mins. Every food item that I tasted was phenomenal!!

T. B.

This place is amazing! My friend and I both have the chicken and waffles and a cocktail. I only wish the chicken was a bit juicier...but there is only so much you can do with chicken breast lol. Still, the flavors were on point. Parking was good. There is a ton of cheap street parking ($.50 for 1 hour with a 2 hour max). That's more than enough time to eat lol. There is also a lot adjacent to the restaurant. Seating was plentiful for the time we were there (around 11am). The service was impeccable! Give this place a try. I wanted to savor all the dishes that passed me lol.

Richard Ball

Wow. What can you say about this place that hasn't already been said. Food is delicious staff were great. Highly recommend.

Nichele Mason

My aunt was in town again from NC. She kept hearing about Ms. Shirley's shrimp and grits each time she came to Baltimore. She was determined to get there this weekend! You didn't disappoint!

Olivia Sailors

I had a great experience at Miss Shirley's in Roland Park! My server, Andrew, was very friendly. Above all, the food was delicious!

Jadene Stone

Atmosphere is great and diverse....waitress Sharon is wonderful, management if ur reading this please give her a raise...we had a party of four celebrating a birthday, overall my visit was phenomenal...thanks again Sharon

Emma Sembly - Brodie

Miss Shirley's has an extensive, interesting, and creative menu. It combines the influences of Southern cuisine with innovative combinations. My friend and I couldn't decide whether to order breakfast or lunch, both of which are offered until the restaurant closes at 3. I eventually decided on avocado toast, but didn't recognize it when the waiter brought it to my table because of the striking presentation -- it was covered in tender and flavorful shrimp. My friend ordered fried green tomatoes and stone ground grits with bacon, a yummy combination. The service is excellent, the diners are an eclectic mix of cultures, and the decor is inviting. There is free parking both behind the restaurant and across the street, along with metered parking. With generous proportions and prices slightly above moderate, it is altogether, a very pleasant dining experience.

Terry Klima

Always get great food and service at Miss Shirley's.

Nicholas

Chicken Cheddar Waffles was mind blowing. Cocktails were excellent. Very busy graduation day and service was still great. Will be back!

Carl Thomas

Wide variety of delicious food and drink options. Never disappointed

Ms

Excellent experience! Shrimp & grits over fried green tomatoes were the bomb!!! There for a seminar in separate dining area. Nice! Will return!!!

don jon

Our experience was absolutely wonderful. We visited the Roland Park location on Friday morning, May 17th, 2019. Gabby was our server, She was delightful and charming and so very helpful. Everything was great. And Gabby made it extra special!!! We love Miss Shirley's Cafe!!!!!

Bryant Levy

Great food. I am yet to be disappointed by the food. Their French toast is hilariously large and even when my wife and I shared it we still weren’t able to finish. I have also learned to trust whoever made the menu and just eat the meals as designed. Mixing orders to your own preference is fine, but the chef really thought out the meals and created them perfect as ordered without alteration. But expect a wait. I have never been to a Miss Shirley’s and not had at least a 10 minute wait. It goes to say they are popular and well liked, but it’s still a little annoying, especially since you’ll have to pay for parking.

Lisa Grist-ragland

The nice atmosphere. Our server Michaela was excellent and answered all our questions. The food was superb.

Nelson Caetano

I love Ms Shirley's. Their breakfast and lunch offerings are unparalleled. We come back to Baltimore (about a 6 hour drive) just to stop in and eat here. There are so many great choices, but you can't go wrong with monkey bread and a southern slammer. We need one of these in the Northeast.

Samone Jones

I think this is the best food in Roland Park. Particularly I love Miss Shirley's breakfast. Traditional breakfast done very well along with some twists. The pancakes and omelettes are great. This is our family's go to place on the weekends for delicious breakfast and brunch.

Marco Ciavolino

First time here. Definitely can see why it was voted a best restaurant. Polite service, great food, nice setting. Try it!

C A

This was the best breakfast I have ever had at a restaurant. This will be a “must go to” anytime I or someone I know comes to Maryland. I got the bayou omelet and pancakes and they were amazing. You also have some of the best and most savory grits I have ever had! The drinks were nice as well!!

Krystal Johnson

love everything about this place. It’s clean, the service is impeccable and the food is WONDERFUL. This is definitely my new spot. Kay was our waitress and she was outstanding.

Albert Michaels

Great food, but the service is so so. Not sure if they're understaffing, but the server's attendance to the table was very limited, and I shouldn't have to ask for my water glass to be filled three times before it is, nor receive attitude when I do, at the prices being paid.

Ian Craig

Overrated, overpriced, and not worth the wait. There are MANY better places to go for brunch

Kevette Marimor

Everything was great; the food, the service, etc. I was there for the Bmore Chamber of Comm network meeting. I enjoyed everything. Thanks so much Jennifer!

Lee Anne Janney

I love the atmosphere. It was just on a Sunday at 10:30 but we still got a table in 5 minutes. Food came out fast. Drinks were filled when needed otherwise the waitress stayed unimposing which I LOVE. Crab cake eggs benedict was awesome. It was great all around!

Nico B

After the long anticipated wait for my order, I was not disappointed. I ordered the shrimp and grits, and it was absolutely delicious!!! Miss Shirley, I will see you again very soon.

Grant Cunningham

Miss Shirley’s café has the best monkey bread I’ve ever had in my life. Their brunch menu is amazing highly recommended

Sharon Bostwick

Delicious food in warm environment, great service. Loved my ice tea with fresh mint. Excellent bloody Mary's. Oysters and fries green tomatoes yummy.

Zachary Herb

Miss Shirley’s is undoubtedly one of the quintessential Baltimore breakfast spots! Believe the hype...this spot earns its reputation with delicious Bloody Marys stacked with toppings, chicken and waffles that provide a choice to go savory or sweet (don’t skip those cheddar onion waffles!), and sweet options like stuffed French toast that will blow you away. We’ve consistently enjoyed each visit, and make it a point to return each time we’re in Baltimore. Our most recent visit was no exception, and Julie provided attentive service and thoughtful recommendations when ordering! Tips: Be prepared to wait if arriving during peak hours. When ordering, keep in mind portions are generous!

Jim Milby

Easy to see why there was a wait list. I had the softshell crab with fried green tomatoes, corn relish and red peppers. Hot crab, cool relish and multiple flavor profiles and textures. Wife had the crab cake Benedict that was also wonderful. Chris, our server, was great and very helpful.

Cecie Valleri

Definitely a place you need to try at least once. Fantastic breakfast and all around service!

Malia Villafane-Robinson

Food good. service I give 1⭐

Drexel Braxton

They atmosphere was very comfortable. The chicken and waffles was out of this world

Sabrina Barnett

Amazing food, atmosphere, and customer service! Thanks Billy for being an awesome waiter!!!

Best breakfast and lunch in Baltimore. Serves as a mix of classic comfort food with local cuisine, with a spectacular selection. By far my favorite morning and afternoon place to eat on this side of the country. You get what you pay for so don't expect super cheap, waffle house pricing.. It pains me to compare Miss Shirley's to a waffle house but I needed a point of comparison. The menu does have some pretty inexpensive options, though I highly recommend digging into one of the specialties. If I could give more than five stars I would!

Great experience. Busy on Sunday mornings, but we were seated relatively quickly. Wait staff were super helpful.

Kathleen B Goldsmith

Food so healthy and good as well people so friendly.

Lorelei Smith

They have the the best food and service. The atmosphere is great. I will be going back soon.

This was our first time going to Miss Shirley's. I never knew about their vegan menu. The food was good - we had a veggie burger, GF pancakes, hash browns, and a salad. Service was good, staff was friendly.

Sadie Collins

There was a HUGE line BUT definitely worth the wait

Torie Taylor

Great customer friendly service and great food as well as atmosphere!

My sister and cousin came down (8-10-19) from N.Y.C. for a crab feast. They wanted to get breakfast before heading back to N.Y. so I took them to my favorite place, they're still talking about Shirley's Affair with Oscar..

Hailee Christine

Service was quick and the food was beyond amazing! It was my first time there and I will definitely be back! The grits were a hit!!

Charvelle Thomas

They serve Breakfast, Brunch and lunch. The blueberries pancakes are delicious. Very nice place, I will go back again. If you like spicy, I recommend there jalapeno bacon.

It was my first time here, and I was so impressed. The presentation was astounding, and the waitstaff were very polite/helpful. I would love to visit again, and we definitely showed up before the big crowds. We had the Chicken and Waffle platter with the Coffee cake French toast stuffed with cheesecake.

Miss Shirley's is always a treat. The menu offers lots of possibilities. The choices are amazing! It's absolutely impossible to choose! This place gets a lot of hype but it totally lives up to it! Service is very friendly and professional. There is usually a wait but it is well worth it!! Omelets, French toast, chicken and waffles...all great.

Reliable, classic food in a classy and comfortable atmosphere

I want to love this place, really. But For me, the food is disappointing and pricey. And the place is unbelievably loud. The service is slow. Is it just me?

Coming to Miss Shirley's is always a positive experience. This is probably about my tenth time, but even today, I can in and was greeted by a friendly host and welcomed by my server, James. He was kind and attentive and made sure that I got all the food and extras that I desired in a timely fashion. His conversation was pleasant and friendly and my meal (Two Eggs, Stone Ground Grits, Applewood Smoked Bacon, and two pancakes) made for a delicious start to my day. I'll definitely continue to keep visiting!

We were seated immediately! Rare for a Sunday morning at any restaurant. Our server was John , who was very attentive . After informing him that it was my fiancé and my first time there. He recommended some delicious sounding starters and entrees . We had the Chesapeake Deviled Eggs - AMAZING !!!! One more time - AMAZING !!! I had the waffles with raspberry and white chocolate - to die for !!!!! My fiancé got the strawberry and didn’t talk to me the entire meal . We will definitely be back .

Very wonderful food and we traveled from PA to eat in the Roland Park Miss Shirley's Cafe. The staff are very friendly and we enjoyed our time there. They are helpful and I even saw a staff take photos for someone who wanted them of a group. Very nice. We had the Eggs Benedict over crab cakes and fried green tomatoes, and a Bay O Po Boy with Macaroni Salad. Everything tasted better than we expected and friendliness was very welcoming and kind. We loved it and enjoyed a great meal. Even brought some food home to go with us.

Ronika Bates

I had the Chicken and Waffles, which is one of their staple dishes. Always on point and flavorful. Just ask to have the chicken well done. The service is outstanding every time.

Rennie Pasquinelli

I dream about the banana chocolate chip pancakes. Service is fantastic. Drinks are delicious. You pay a pretty penny but it’s a Baltimore staple!

djrod russell

Considering how crowded it was, the employees did an excellent job. Our food took a little longer but the waiter explained why. Everyone enjoyed their meal. It was delicious. I will surely return and recommend to others.

Good food, Good friends, and a professional wait staff equals the Perfect Trifecta for an awesome dining experience. Without debate Baltimore’s Dragon Queen of the breakfast menu. Miss Shirley’s continues to incinerate her culinary rivals with a combination of land, sea, spices, and drizzle that’s straight scorching! With a fire breathing menu that can only be extinguished with a Chalice of Miss Shirley’s morning beverage, Miss Shirley’s is bound to help conquer your conquest for the perfect morning feast. Tip: Get there early

Excellent food, generous portions, friendly staff. The bay-o po'boy was fantastic, as was their seasonal strawberry rhubarb French toast

Bobbi Cox

Perfect all lump meat crab cake. Server Amy.

william gray

The food was good all be it a little on the pricey side but still a great place to eat and a good vibe with a good wait staff.

I may be a little biased as I worked out right before coming here, but as far as I’m concerned the food here was very good. However, keeping this location from a 5 star review were some dry biscuits and somewhat slow service. These are only minor things, but I like to try to fight the review inflation on these reviews — 4 stars is great and I highly recommend eating here

Love Miss Shirley sooo much. I tried Crab cake and fried green tomato. Every ingredient in the plate is so good, perfect poach egg with running yolk, balanced acidity and sweetness on green tomato, crab cake full of crab meat. And I also get a chicken waffle to go. My husband likes their food too. This restaurant is super busy when I was there. But they made the food as perfect as usual. Thumbs up for the person who does quality control in the kitchen.

I don't think that I or my family have ever had a bad meal at Miss Shirley's! It's like sitting down in your Mom's dining room for breakfast. We always start out with the deviled eggs. For my birthday a few years ago, they even put a birthday candle on the eggs for me! This is our go-to whenever we have company in town.

Jason Herring

Creative curious menu that we'll definitely come back to explore more. There was some service slowness on a non-busy weekday resulting in cold food having to be sent back.

Alecia Berman-Dry

The food is made with care, from the tiny parsley sprinkles on the bacon to the sprigs of watercress on the extra sides. The menu is inventive, with options for those watching their calories (summer skinny crustless quiche) to those not so much (pound cake French toast with lemon curd). Outstanding wait staff and for those with food allergies, they don’t treat you like the unwanted monkey wrench in their finely running machine.
