This is my first time visiting Miss Shirley's and I must say. The staff was very friendly and polite. The hospitality was on point. Plus, they go the extra way to make sure you don't have any food allergies. Since I'm allergic to shellfish. They made my aware of how they prepare their food and the possibility of which dishes may be exposed to shellfish. If you are in the area. Recommend that you go.

We saw this restaurant on a Food Network program and decided to check it out. One of the few restaurants I've Seen On TV, then visited, and understand the hype. The food was beyond excellent. There is a vast menu selection, and even though we shared dishes, we plan on having several more visits to fully vet the menu. We went to the restaurant at the Inner Harbor since there are now multiple locations. My advice is to go very early. We got there about 8:30 am on a Sunday and only had to wait approximately 10 minutes. The servers are excellent, very attentive, very knowledgeable of the menu, courteous, and made some good suggestions. Even the coffee was pretty good. Parking is a little tough here, we went early enough to get street parking however there are garages close by. By the time we left around 9:30, there was a significant waiting line and the lobby and outside tables were full of people waiting to get in.

Almost as good as the original location. No reservations. The food is absolutely incredible. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The Chesapeake Omelette is one of my favorites. And the coffee is delicious too. The downtown location is convenient for business people and tourists alike. But the downtown location is just less cozy. I suppose that's what you should expect though in the lobby of a high-rise. Don't get me wrong the food is 5-stars; just the atmosphere is 3-stars. I'd still go here any day I'm downtown and want a special treat. But if you want the full Miss Shirley's treatment, then go to the Cold Spring Lane location.

This place has a balance of classic and innovation. I had the fried chicken with savory (onion and cheddar) waffles. It was wonderful and filling. Recommended by locals and great for visitors as well. A few brunch cocktails if that is your thing. Plenty of seating. If they hold you at the door when there are open tables, it is because they know what they are doing. We were asked to wait ten minutes the door, but when we were seated, we got our food super-quick, and well-prepared.

Julie Lyles

The only reason this is not 5 star is bc my hash browns were under seasoned and not completely done. The food is fresh and generously portioned. I had the chicken and biscuit gravy omelet. It was good. My husband had a create- your-own omelet and I actually liked his better. There were quite a few more items on the menu that I would like to go back and try, like, the lemon- strawberry doughnuts and the mini waffles with chicken or fruit. The stuffed French toast looks amazing too! We shall return.

Fish

Cute cafe. The food was great with large portions and plenty of options including vegan. The drinks could have been better but everything else was fantastic. Nice view of the city from the outside seating. If I lived here I would eat here way more often.

Yolonda Mabry

This menu is AMAZING! The portions are huge and the food was absolutely delicious! Thank you for the great service! These were our favorite...

Tiffany Susi

Came at 1130am on a Saturday and waited no more than 20 mins. Highly impressed with the organization, friendliness of staff and speed, just to start. Secondly- Sometimes, popular brunch spots get too creative and end up sacrificing substance. Not the case! Delicious southern food with just enough of a twist. Especially the BBQ chicken fried deviled eggs, sooo good and different! The drinks too...outstanding! And to top it off, great prices. All across the board, nailed it. Thank you!

Gerald Day

If you are ready for taste explosion come on in and sit down. The best breakfast I’ve had in years. You have to eat here!!

Jonathan Killings

Melissa was great and made wonderful suggestions from the menu. The Pulled Pork French Toast that she recommended was amazing and everyone at the table was happy with their selections.

tera finley

I usually never dine by myself, but I was out on my first ever business trip. I thought that this may turn into an uncomfortable experience but Allison was truly great. She never skipped a beat and was on top of her entire section. Thank you so much Allison! I will definitely visit again.

Jackson Linda

Experience was okay, got seated fast, waitress was okay, talked to fast, kept asking for her to repeat herself. My major complaint was the food was not hot. Due to me being hungry, did not send back.

angela way

Great food..large portions. I probably could've shared my meal. Staff very nice...a bit pricey but so good

Hanna Tyler

It was morning when we went here and yet the place was packed. Food is great. Little pricey but worth it.

Lavinia Morrison

Loved everything about this restaurant. Brunch is served daily until 3:00. The food is fresh and delicious and you cannot ask for better staff. Everything that came out of the kitchen looked scrumptious. This restaurant serves quality food and is in high demand – so be prepared to wait for a table. Trust me, it is worth the wait.

Gail Hicks

Great food and good service. Very busy and lots of folks were getting to go orders. The French toast was amazing, very rich and lots of it. You could easily share this dish. The seating inside is a little tight. They also have outside seating.

Sean Murphy

Outstanding brunch menu and food. We have been going to Miss Shirley's almost averaging once a month for more than 6 years, most often during the college football season. We have been disappointed exactly once by one menu item. That's a pretty good average by me.

Andrew Mayfield

Always excellent. The food is outstanding. Be warned: the portions are large. Personally, I can't get away from the chicken and waffles. If you're looking for brunch in Baltimore, this should be your first stop.

Andrew Glover

Food was amazing! Went recommended by friends while visiting Baltimore, loved it! Would definitely go back!

Danielle Dunkum

Love this place! they take celiac and gluten intolerance very seriously! I ate there twice on my trip and will definitely be going back

Matika Garrison

This place was an awesome visit. As a person doesn't do dairy or a lot of meats, Miss Shirley's place had a lot of options. Billy had great knowledge of the menu and his favorite options were gloriously described!! Made me want to try a the poached eggs, which looked devine, an egg dish, and I dont even really eat eggs. A must visit!!!

Liz Wehrmeister

So good! They have buttermilk biscuits with everything bagel topping, sounds simple but its so good! I've had the chicken and waffles, eggs Benedict, and eggs & bacon, and I'd order any of them again.

Alisha Manies

Holy cow it was the best I mean best breakfast joint. They have mimosas that were delicious I was there with two other friends we all enjoyed our time and the staff was very friendly very dedicated to making sure if you had allergies that you would be okay. The food came out perfectly and right on time I never ran out of water and the place was hopping go to spot for sure. I'll be back.

Zenia Anthony

We stopped here before exploring Baltimore harbor and the food was delicious. The service was prompt and helpful. We ordered the chicken and waffles, fried green tomatoes appetizer and the avocado toast. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

Gabrielle Dujour

Food was excellent. I can understand people willing to wait an hour. I just wish I was warned about the size of the funky monkey, it is way too big for one person, but it was delicious.

Nicole Pritchett

Had lunch with my team from work and I'm always the one with allergy problems. They were super cautious about it and sent someone to talk to me about cross contamination and the ingredients they use in what I was ordering. Great experience with that. The food was also amazing. I had to of course change my order because of an ingredient, but what I changed it to was amazing! I even shared a fork size portion with like 6 colleagues and still had enough for myself. I ordered stuffed French toast with peaches and white chocolate. (No syrup was needed)

Candace Adkins

We had Gerald as a server he was great! First time eating here as we where visiting the aquarium. The food and drinks where top notch and would recommend Miss Shirley's to everyone.

Priscilla Kelly

We went on a Monday afternoon. The donuts were good but somewhat expensive - $6 for 2 small donuts. They weren't crispy like regular donuts. They almost tasted like normal cake shaped in a donut. The chocolate banana pancakes were good as well - very sweet and sugary. The omelet with sausage gravy was great as wel. For the price the serving size isn't big but it's downtown Baltimore so that's expected.

Latoya Willis-Sparrow

Food was awesome. Staff was great. Small inside but everything was good.

Andi Everson

I imagine this place gets packed quickly and there’s good reason for it. Definitely your more than average breakfast/brunch place prices but worth every penny!

Ryan Songy

Service was good, but I found the food to be mediocre at best. The french toast was waaaay too sweet.

Taylor Gillen

Just like in the Roland Park location, the Inner Harbor location is another great option for Miss Shirley’s! Same menu, same warm, cozy feeling — this time at the convenience of those in Inner Harbor (especially visitors)! If you’re stopping in or live nearby, you should definitely stop here for a sophisticated take on breakfast, lunch and brunch food with a southern flare.

Andrew C

All I can say is WOW! This place is excellent. From the service, to the food, to the drinks...everything is phenomenal. It's always busy here and for good reasons. I am not a big brunch person but I was very impressed with this menu. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. For it being so busy I would think service would be a little lacking, but I couldn't be more wrong. They have everything down to a science here. Seriously try this place. It rules!

Gregory Family

The food was absolutely delicious and Sam (our server) did an awesome job introducing us to Miss Shirley's. The Diablo Shrimp Omelette was the best!

Paula Rodriguez

Would not recommended it. As we walked up there were 3 tables available outside. Extremely unfriendly staff told us there was a 45-60 min wait. We waited 45 min for a seat. When we got seated, there were 6 tables open (4 in the same area and 2 more in another area never filled while we were inside-40 min). Nobody came to our table in 10 min. On the other side, food was fast (10 min after ordering). However, appetizer came after entree. We had to ask for more water. Overall food was ok. Hopefully this summarize why I do not recommend this place to anybody.

Dan Sorak

I would best describe this place as Southern American comfort food, and they do a good job of it! The food was prepared well and came out quickly, despite the place being fairly crowded. There are meager vegetation options, but that's not why you go to a place like this. Waffles and fried chicken come in huge portions and are delicious. There are other options as well, including sandwiches and salads. It's popular with the tourist crowd and just across the street from the water off the inner harbor on a side channel. Priced reasonably, this is a nice stop for breakfast, lunch, or brunch!

Terence Beebe

Best brunch and breakfast at the inner harbor a great place to visit. Staff is wonderful and good is amazing

Marion Nelson

wondering if you can go in the back and check surveillance to see who ate one of your shrimp and in reality it was you. The green tomatoes, and sauce that it's smothered in is what's the phrase: cherry on the top...this is Perfection at its finest. If you're in Baltimore this should be one of your first stops. Whenever I'm in town I'm stopping by even if can't find someone to go with and I gotta look weird and go solo

Steve H

Don't read the rest of the review, just go! This place is SO good. A friend and I were visiting town and decided to look for some breakfast. I'd only had chicken and waffles a few times and was really hungry for more! We decided to check this place out because they seem to have a really good menu. Everything about this place is really good. The wait staff was all very pleasant and knowledgeable about the food in the menu. I ordered a Winter Blackberry Bourbon Smash and the Chicken and Waffles. I wasn't disappointed with either. The chicken and waffles were amazing. This is also not the type of place to give you a small portion either. I'm absolutely telling everyone I know to check out Miss Shirley's!

Ajonee Mims

Amazing southern brunch with my family. Great service. I will be back.

Dan B

American style breakfast with a southern seafood twist! I had the crabcakes benedictine eggs that are served on fried green tomato's and it was excellent. The portions are ginormous and could easily be sheared. The restaurant is not too loud and the service is quick and welcoming. Too bad they don't have espresso.

Charles Hudson

Heard good things but I didn't care for the menu. Might be, it's just not my type of place. Staff was friendly. Food was cooked and prepared fine. Menu seemed super limited.

Jim Kvasnicka

Really good. The crust on the fried crab deviled eggs was amazing. The seafood omelette was yummy, fluffy and definitely not lacking in seafood. The pumpkin donuts are super-moist and delicious. We went at lunchtime on a Tuesday and it was not too busy. The service was great. Our waitress asked about food allergies right up front which was unexpected and delightful.

Noelle Paxton

The food was amazing! The service was horrendous! I have eaten at the Roland Park location and it was excellent in both food and service. The server was rude and it felt like we were bothering her. We were with our family from out of town. I will not go back to the Inner Harbor location.

Lea S

Friendly staff. Pancakes were really good. I had breakfast food but the crab cakes others ordered smelled delicious. I would come back to try lunch.

Ryan Chidester

This was definitely one of the highlights of the entire trip. The food was exceptional and the service (Kelly) was top notch. Keep up the great work, y’all.

N. Newsome

The food is absolutely magnificent! Everything that I've had has been great. You do have a wait. But it's not that bad.

Scott Schelp

I absolutely love this place. The service is great and the dishes are very tasty and hardy. I would strongly suggest coming for some of the best brunch in town. Be wary, the wait can pile up because this restaurant is very popular. Generally, if you are in before 10, you will be seated almost immediately.

Ann Porter

The food was wonderful. Excellent table service. Quite a wait, and the front desk person was abrupt.

Joy Maniego

A decent breakfast place. Nothing more or less. I wasn't really impressed.

Mckenna Schuetz-Reyes

This is our best dining experience in Baltimore thus far. Very fast, good service, great drinks, and even better food. Great with kids too. Anyone visiting, I’d say make this a must on your to do list.

DeAndre Thomas-Williams

Friendly staff and excellent food. Food presentation as well as taste is impeccable. The wife got the pulled pork sandwich and I got the chicken and green onion waffles; superb!

Michael Boyer

Had to be in Baltimore for my graduation and saw wonderful reviews of this place. Had to wait a little before being seated, but it was worth it. Katelyn was our waitress and she did a wonderful job answering questions and helping people with recommendations. I got the Coconut Cream Stuffed French Toast and split it with my girlfriend, who got the Crab Omelet. Both were very good, but the french toast was definitely the star. I will definitely be back if I am in Baltimore again.

Regina Garnett

Portions super sized, delicious food. Friendly staff. Broccoli salad was amazing!! Will definitely check it out again!

jessie cusanelli

Awesome! Food was all great, SO many Options. They asked as soon as we sat down about allergies which I thought was so thoughtful. Prices were great for the city. Wish we lived nearby it'd be a regular spot! We got there around 8:30am on a weekend. By the time we left around 10am there was a big wait. Worth waking up a little earlier for the food. You'll wanna take a nap after anyway.

Jose Caraballo

Awesome place to eat. Excellent plating, great taste and very attentive staff. Definitely will go again, when I come back to Maryland.

Anthony J.

Miss Shirley's has the BEST Avocado Toast in Baltimore! Friendly staff, great location, and very reasonably priced menu items. The Fried Green Tomatoes are also AMAZING! Try it!

Lyzette Wallace

The food was really good, service could gave been better. I went to the Inner Harbor location which was *super crowded,* not surprising as it was peak tourist season. I will go to the other location next time, just to ensure it is a little more quiet.

Dakota Lambert

Wonderful food! Truly the best meal I've had in Maryland.

Jeff Schram

Nice combos of food. Average preparation. Grits very solid. Hash browns cold. Seems many items prepped beforehand. Kid’s very well done in a bento box.

William Jennings

Always a great experience. First time having salmon and grits, definitely would recommend giving it a try. Service friendly and prompt as well.

Eileen Rosario

Food was delicious and drinks are nice but they never tell you a measly strip of filet with eggs and some little bits of crab are a whopping 37 dollars. I was literally blown away when they dont tell you those things on the menu it says market. I understand its baltimore and crab meat is expensive but come on the plate when shirley had oscar or something like that is not worth 37 dollars for the amount of crab and steak you get in that meal. Plus 1 crab cake is 22 dollars! In my opinion the place is nice. Great server Brandon but waaaaaaayyyyy to expensive! And you have to pay for parking to get there more than 2 hours a whopping $25!! Craziness I'd rather go somewhere local where the food is amazing too but the prices are just right.

Jowanna

Miss Shirley's is my go to brunch restaurant when I'm in Baltimore. I've enjoyed the food I had from all locations but I tend to like the Inner Harbor more. Always pleasant staff and friendly atmosphere. I travel from Philly just to go to Miss Shirley's.

Lonita Humphrey

It's okay, but not for the wait time, quality or the cost of the meal. It's a very touristy spot. The servers are friendly... but..Don't expect convenient parking at the restaurant. There is an option to dine al fresco. Whatever the food lacks in taste is compensated by its presentation. Why pay dinner prices for breakfast food? Also, to sell the idea of a southern twist is not entirely accurate, it's definitely hype (native of SC) . I had a crab/seafood omelet and a breakfast cocktail. It was not memorable but cost more than $40. There is a breakfast buffet across the way at the Rusty Scupper for $45/head. At least get second helpings, panoramic view of the harbor and have live music if you are okay with expensive breakfast.

Tsianina Sturges

Breakfast! Fried chicken omelette with a biscuit on top and gravy, and hash browns. Was really good with the gravy, a really good combination, left really full ( lasted most of the day), I understand why there was a wait, but even that went quick. Next time I'm in Baltimore I will eat here again.

Matthew Welch

Amazing food! Great flavor. Even with a line out the door we only ended up waiting about 10 minutes. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

Tomlin-Clarinda Campbell

We met a friend in Baltimore over the weekend for lunch and he chose your Café since My husband and I are becoming vegans. Our Friend lives in Virginia and we live in Delaware. I would just like to say kudos to you. The food was amazing. We had the Beyond Burger and they way it was pair was great. We did step out of our comfort zone and tried the Eggs with crab and they too were amazing. Our waitress Karri was patience, kind and very attentive to our needs (we did need much). She answered all of our questions confidently. And made great suggestions for us. Thank you for having such a wonderful place. We will be coming again in the future.

Michelle Patterson

All of the food was delicious! They have some unique breakfast menu options!

Nichelle Hazelwood

I'm Southern to my roots and this isn't it! The food was fresh and beautifully presented but there was no soul warming feeling when I ate my meal. The five stars is for the warm atmosphere and I am aware the food has to be pretentious because of the location it is in.

Jay Doshi

Our server Billy, was amazing! Started off by asking if anyone has food allergies, which I do ( Celiac) and he explained the menu and even suggested the pancakes. The food was phenomenal, the presentation was exquisite; it’s truly a great spot for brunch ! Thanks Billy

Shenita Melvin

Took friends so they could experience Miss Shirley's world famous pancakes! They, of course, loved them!

Carole Brown

Great soulfood spot with tons of choices on the menu for your tasting pleasure! The cocktails however festive are a little light on the "enhancement" but tasty. Of note? There is a lounge on an upper floor in the same building and be aware you can't make reservations! Plus, your entire party must be 9n site before you'll be seated. Great spot overall!

Leslie Somerville

The staff is always friendly. Even though there was a line when we went, we didn't have to wait long at all. The food was definitely good. I want to try it as a brunch place, but I've only been there a couple of times for weekday lunch.

Nicole Cole

Really Good. Came highly recommend would encourage everyone to go just FYI except a wait.

Clayton Summit

Good breakfast, very little in the way of simple breakfast choices. The biscuit and gravy omelette was good though the biscuit was the best part of the meal after the collard greens side dish.

Dave Broscious

Food is super good. Service and wait for table can be a little slow. If you've got a bit of time and want to chill with some super tasty food, this is not a bad choice.

Gregory Black

I recommend the funky monkey bread, it is sooooooo good! It's like a huge cinnamon roll in the shape of a huge donut covered in chocolate sauce with a chocolate dip. IT'S GOATED

Dani Jacks

Per the reviews on YELP myself and my friend decided to give Miss Shirley's Cafe, Inner Harbor a try this past weekend day trip to Baltimore. The wait is very intimidating but it was well worth the wait!!!! And what can I say our dinning experience was AMAZING. Our waiter Billy was beyond knowledgeable about the menu and his recommendations were super helpful. I got the Avocado Toast with Pickled Shrimp and a Poached Egg and my friend ordered the French Toast and it was everything and more. Thanks for the great dinning experience. I definitely will be back on my next trip to Baltimore.

Tim Cella-Mowatt

Good food. Slow service. They forgot to bring out drinks out and we sat for a while on Father’s Day. They put 6 adults and 4 children at two small round tables. Not enough space.

John Adamczyk

Ordered Crab harry with fried tomatoes chicken sausage and eggs all on a Sammy. Tasted every single thing in that sandwich , Crab was fresh tasting. The food I ordered was great . Great service from Sam. No draft beer though.

Mo Orbach

Delicious food, enormous portions. Every staff member we interacted with was great. All around charming experience

Oscar DeNessuno

Kind, attentive and efficient staff as well as delicious food! I'd have the crab cake eggs benedict every single day if I could - the eggs were perfectly cooked with just the right amount of ooze you should expect from a poached egg and the crab cakes and fried green tomatoes that sat underneath the eggs were crunchy and flavorful, not a soggy thing in sight! I also greatly appreciated the fact that our waitress asked if anyone at our table had any allergies or food sensitivities right after introducing herself. Good on you Miss Shirley's! Can't wait to come back for more.

Lois M

Really nice place for brunch. We came in early, 8am, so we were seated immediately, but as time went by it was clear that it gets very busy. The server was on point and always checking in on us. The food came out quite quickly. I had the winter blackberry bourbon smash, and that was really good. Their other cocktails looked very interesting as well. For food we tried the crab dip fried deviled eggs which were quite a nice play of textures and tastes, I would definitely recommend those. Hubby had chicken and waffles, nothing to write home about. I had the southern skillet and that was okay. The amount of food was perfect, but we had no room for dessert which we have to try next time we visit. The only complaint I have is the space is quite squeezed. We will be back.

kale severson

Wowzers! Great food, I highly recommend it. It is a bit expensive but I think it is worth it.

Styves Exantus

Easily top 3 brunch downtown Baltimore, if you want to enjoy real Baltimore seafood and get a unique combination of flavors, Miss Shirley’s is the place to visit. All of the seafood has a clean and flavorful feel like it was caught the day before. Also, the popularity has grown so get there earlier than later. The lobby fills up with waits over an hour and there are two seating areas.

Christopher Dillick

Fancy but filling. Server started by checking if anyone had any allergies which is great considering one of our party has a seafood allergy in a town built on crab. Everything a foodie would want but portion sizes that won't leave you wanting. Definitely try one of the house specialty breakfasts. Can get pricy but worth every penny.

Aaron

Our server Sam, was delightful. Very fast, very friendly. South of the Border omelette was to die for. Very big portions and the “everything” biscuit was sooo good. For our party of 5 plus 1 child we received our food in about 15 minutes, considering how busy it was that’s amazing. We will definitely be coming back. So worth it.

Abhishek Singh

It’s very famous place in Baltimore when it comes to having breakfast. I tried the French toast and pan cakes. The French toast are very tasty and well presented on the plate. The presentation of the food is very nice. The hostess are very welcoming and helpful when knowing about a dish. They do have daily specials which are not on menu. The must try dish is French toast. French toast comes with a very tasty strawberry sauce which is good. The place is very close to inner harbor historic boats.

Jermaine Wright

Loved the Farm Fresh Quinoa Bowl and my wife had the Fried Chicken Omelette. We enjoyed the serving and our server Sara was

Ama Chan

We waited for more than an hour. But then service was fast. I ordered the coconut French toast and did not like how much filling was in it. I did not enjoy the meal and did not like the taste of the filling.

Luv_It_Coiled &_Kinky

Be prepared to wait for a few. The lines are very long and for good reason. Absolutely worth the wait

roger kramer

We love this restaurant when we visit Baltimore. It is close to the inner harbor area. Get there early as the wait can be rather lengthy. We went in afternoon one day and the wait was several hours. So next morning we were there when they opened. The restaurant has unique food and drink options and it was loved by all.

Pranav J

Went to this location for the first time, even though I live in the area. Had been to Roland park location few months ago. Arrived at around 10:30 am on a Sunday morning, and had to wait only for 15-20 minutes to be seated. The staff here is amazing- be it the host at the entrance or the server. There was also a lady who was attentively walking around and looking after the diners if they needed anything and if they found everything alright. I had ordered Crab Cakes and Fried Green Tomato egg Benedict and it was awesome. Coffee was good too. Cannot point out any flaw in anything. Though, it would be nice if they allowed online reservations or some online waitlists kinda thing.

Dan McDonnell

Had breakfast here on our over night trip to Inner Harbor. We were both amazed and pleased with the food and service especially considering how busy it was. Can't wait to visit again!

Sharon Leggett

Good food and service. They put a candle in my wonderful Bayou omelette to wish me a happy birthday.

Geoff Beard

Delicious tasty breakfast which should have been 5 stars but staff was slightly disorganized. Our server was great but was "given" our party in the atrium while the rest of her section was in the main dining room. She apologized for that but it was necessary to flag down someone else to top off our coffee. Speaking of coffee - my daughter in law had grounds in her mug. These 2 take aways dropped it to 4 stars. The menu is great and everyone enjoyed their food. Still worth a try..

Mark Lukenich

The menu selection was interesting and not the usual fare, but a bit pricey, which is understandable for being in the inner harbor and also being featured on tv. The southern slammer was dry - I was expecting it to be better since it was featured on the menu.

L Sanchez

I eat shrimp everywhere I go, and today I had the best EVER on the dish “get your grits on!” Wow!! Don’t visit Baltimore if you don’t plan a visit to Miss Shirley’s.

Jessica Cain

I’ve always heard great things about Miss Shirley’s Cafe. I finally visited the Inner Harbor location and I was not disappointed! I had a great server, Gerald, that took great care of me. The food and other staff members were phenomenal. I can’t wait to go back!

MsLady4God Harg

Excellent! Everything was delicious... The waiters were not the best, but I won't discount the restaurant or the food for that! I'm probably pickier than some or maybe it was just an off day... I will be back, bc the food was unique & delicious, worth the wait. Need to try more menu items next time.

Cassandra Williams

Get there early!! Food was amazing. There were a lot of great choices. Staff was nice as well. In the pic is blackened salmon grits w bacon and fried green tomatoes.

A Marie

Exceptional, yet attentive dining experience! I ordered the coconut French toast and suggest if you order this massive dish, share with two other people. I could barely eat half of the meal and ended up throwing it away, because we were walking and touring. My children ordered the cinnamon pancakes , plain French toast, and a side of grits. Every dish tasted delicious, however, I'm not a fan of the firm grits and prefer creamy grits. Be mindful that this restaurant is pricier than typical breakfast eateries.

Dr. Siracha

Good food and service but overpriced tourist trap. Food tastes like any competitant American diner on the planet! Good food, yummy, overpriced though.

John Frandsen

We had a great experience. Bento style boxes for the kids were a hit. We enjoyed the spicy shrimp omelet and chicken and gravy offerings. If you're in the area it is a unique but popular spot.

David Luzader

This was my first time at Miss Shirley's and it was amazing. I love the way the menu is written and the food was fantastic. My server Gerald was on top of everything and had s great knowledge of the menu and made a good suggestion. I will definitely be back.

Anita

The food is fantastic! The atmosphere is fantastic! I can't wait to visit again.

Antoine Caldwell

Love this place. Would have given it five stars if they were open past 3pm. Maybe it’s good because that’s when schools close and then the kids take over downtown. Ok 4.5 stars will work.

Linda G

Always a great place for brunch! Fair warning, it's super busy on weekends and they don't take reservations, so be prepared for at least a 45 minute wait for brunch on Sunday. They also don't guarantee that parties larger than 8 will be seated together. They do get you seated and fed as soon as they can. The coconut cream stuffed french toast is to die for, as are the fried green tomatoes. But you can't go wrong with much here. Well worth the wait!

kim rice

Service was good. Menu was pricey probably because of the location. Food was below average for the cost.. again probably because of the location. I had steak(looked like a small rock)but eatable, two over easy that came out partly fried( sent back). What is the purpose of the fried tomato??

Joel Macdonald

Excellent! Food was delicious. The staff was great and friendly and service was excellent. The prices was fair too. I will be come back again, food was unique & delicious. Highly Recommend!!!

Dan Proofing

Doesn't matter what you order – this place is consistently excellent. THey take good food and great service seriously. The staff is well trained and attentive to allergies. There's a reason every location is always packed.

Michael Metdepenningen

This place is off the chair good. Will be back next time we come to Baltamore. Recomend as a must stop. Please stop and enjoy Bourbon lemonade best ever

JakLacy

Very good food. Be prepared to spend some money though. With a tip, I dropped $60.00 for breakfast for two. I have had just as good for half the price elsewhere. This place does offer some unique dishes that you will not find anywhere else. Good coffee. Our waitress was observant and kept our drinks filled, but not overly friendly or enthusiastic.

Omg, wish I could give this place 6 stars, I look for breakfast places any city I travel to, this is one of the best I have found, the menu is almost overwhelming- there are so many mouth watering things to choose from, started with monkey bread- which was great for table to share, then my wife had lemon pancakes w berry compote... mmmmm, and I had French toast covered w pulled pork and coleslaw .... again omg. When I return to Baltimore I will go back to try one of the other 8 things that looked great to me, try it and you wont be disappointed!

William Fotiou

Best breakfast in Baltimore. You must try this place.

Brandon Whilst

Awesome breakfast spot! The wait times can get a bit crazy at time. I prefer going super early to avoid the waits.

J Emerson McGowan

Seemed a bit cramped physically. Seems lots of fried foods. Fried hard boiled eggs were not a good choice. Main course also fried, crab was almost unrecognizable n fried green tomatoes had no taste. Service ok pleasant enough and food prepared quickly.Too much on the menu to make a conscious choice quickly the font was some kind of script. older folks will have a part of time reading the menu. When I go back again? Probably not I was unimpressed.

Jim Woods

This place is Amazing! Absolutely the best breakfast/lunch place to eat when in Baltimore. The grits are to die fore, and the breakfast sandwich is out of this world. I will definitely be back to eat hear again, and again.

Gene Halloran

Fun menu! Lots of great choices. Crab cake eggs Benedict on fried green tomato slices. Yum!

Most amazing breakfast I've ever had outside of North Carolina, it was so freaking good. The menu has a huge selection of unique items; I waned one of everything.

The food was amazing. Worth the long wait for a table on a Saturday afternoon. I had the Bayou Omelette and it was heavenly. The collard greens were not as seasoned as I like but when eaten with the biscuit, it was tasty.

Dee Ellis

Food was tasty. Service was great. My waitress Ailyn was attentive and friendly. However, be prepared to wait at least 20 plus minutes.

Reina Blaise

I really enjoyed this location. The southern slammer sandwich is delicious. Everyone in my party food looked fabulous. Service was fantastic.

Rey Cruz

Well worth the wait! Had the chicken and waffles which was very good. Service was a little on the slower side due to it being very busy but our server was very friendly and helpful. Great food for a great price!

John Miller

Go early. Delicious grits, great variety, great service. Food was lukewarm at best.

Stephanie Teeter

Delicious food (I tried the soft shell crab sandwich with fried green tomatoes and pimento cheese, side of grits... So good!). Service was top notch. Sarah was fantastic, plus a manager stopped by a few times to check in on me (it was pretty busy). Delicious drink menu with fruity options perfect for breakfast food, for a very reasonable ~$8 (especially when you consider it's in peak 'tourist tax' part of town). Photo is the bourbon peach strawberry lemonade. Yum! Highly recommend!

As good as the hype. The chicken and Waffles were over the top, and the blood Mary’s were fantastic. Price was reasonable. The only down fall was parking, there is non but a municipal lot a cross the street that hit us with $30 for two hours. Truly outrageous, but not Shirley’s fault

Andrius Surdokas

Best fried chicken I've ever had! The atmouspher is amazing! If you are in Baltimore, visit this place!

Matthew Sebor

Hands down the best breakfast/brunch I've had near the harbor

Torey Nichols

Food was really good, I appreciated the restaurant week specials they are running. Nice decor, good vibes, the parking validation they give you, all are a plus. They also offer vegan options, and just a great variety of food choices. Your gonna spend a little bit more $$ but it can be worth it.

Going to be honest... This is my third time here and I've tried to give a fair shot, but it's nothing but disappointing. Not every time for the same thing though. This last trip, drinks and food was great, but the service guy just was not pleasant at all. The place wasn't even busy and the manager seemed frazzled and under stress. For the price, I expect much higher overall quality. Food was fine taste and quantity wise. Not sure a specific problem they need to correct, but it just doesn't work.

David Crabtree

The wait staff was awesome! they are a peanut free restaurant. The food was excellent! The kids got Etch-a-Sketches to play with while they were waiting(best kid idea). Thank you Miss Shirley's.

Ann Guins

So tasty, had chicken with waffles. Great place for my 2 1/2 year old grandson. We read a book offered to us by the hostess entitled Woodpecker Wants a Waffle, a Baltimore-set children's book that has a waitress/Hun. I ordered a copy for us to have. Our server was wonderful!

Khadijatu Lindsay

The food was amazingly delicious and the wait wasn't bad at all for the place to be jam packed! My husband took me to Baltimore for a surprise anniversary celebration trip and their food was thee best place we ate while we were there. We're from Philadelphia and will definitely be returning. Get the crabcakes

Leslie Dalton

Very popular with a long wait. Extensive menu, good service when seated and delicious food. The separate bar where you could order drinks while waiting was a nice feature.

Justin Dumlao

A fantastic café in the Inner Harbor. It’s popular *because* it’s good. The food is well-portioned, well-plated, and above all: delicious. Lots of choices for all palettes; it being Baltimore, there are of course plenty of crab-based dishes as well. Their signature Bloody Mary is also fantastic, and I highly recommend it if you’re into brunch drinks. The Inner Harbor location is quite popular and busy, so plan to put your name on a list—they do not take call-ahead reservations. It is entirely worth the wait, though.

I ordered Hog Wild on That's How We Roll and I might have gotten 1/8th of a cup of pulled pork. There was more coleslaw than pork for the sandwich. If you are into bread more than filling, this would be the sandwich for you. The proportion of roll to filling was just not worth the cost $16.00. The feta and watermelon salad had 2 pieces of watermelon and lots of cucumber. So disappointing.

Russ Widger

Famous place, excellent service but the food does not live up to the pictures. it's like a Denny's or a village in with great photos

Cecily Rochelle

It was my boyfriend and I's first time going to Miss Shirley's after living in Baltimore for a few years. All good food and things aside, our server, Billy, made our experience, amazing! He was so patient, understanding, and knowledgeable. Coming from a customer service background, we know great service when we see it. Thank you, Billy, for your kindness and positive attitude. We appreciate you. We will definitely visit Miss Shirley's again.

Josh Gray

This place was excellent. We beat the crowd for brunch by getting there a little before 10 on Saturday. Billy was our server and did an excellent job and provided good recommendations. My wife and I both did the restaurant week specials. I had the deep fried bbq devil's eggs and fried chicken breakfast skillet. Both were fantastic and we're good portion sized for the price. My wife did the strawberry donuts and Cuban sandwich. We will def go back the next time we are in Baltimore

Kristi McBride

Amazing breakfast. Delicious options and my drink was even better! Highly recommend.

Regina Alvarez

Miss Shirley's is a local favorite that I'm told has moved from it's original location, so don't let the upscale location (an office building across Baltimore's Inner Harbour) They definitely have an old southern feel with a sure addition of Baltimore's local fare! We had "Crab Benadict" with local crab added to the stack of food and on the bottom a Fried Green Tomato! In place of an English muffin! It was delicious! We also had their home-made biscuits with freshly made peach jam, and a Cuban sandwich with added pulled pork and southern grits on the side. Also delicious, however, if you can only order 1 thing I highly recommend the crab Benadict! Our waitress was very nice and the restaurant has a nice decor.

J Ward

Zoe has been a great server. One of the best I've ever had. The food was superb. We will be returning.

Marie D.

We had heard so much about this place that while we were visiting Baltimore we made sure to stop and have breakfast there. When we travel, don't mind spending money on good food. Wish I could be more complementary BUT paying $5.00 for shaved potatoes that had no onions or peppers mixed in and weren't even lightly brown, they were absolutely tasteless. Paid $4.00 for a fruit cup that had a total of 6 very small pieces of fruit.

Deserae Carignan

There was a 45 minute wait for Sunday Brunch, but there's a beautiful (and mostly empty) lounge two floors up in the hotel with great views and activities for the kids. Our meals were expedient and delicious regardless of the amount of people there and the drinks hit the spot. Great addition to our Baltimore experience!

Kyle Waters

Food was great, service was very good, atmosphere could only have better if it were overlooking the water....or maybe a little larger dining room. This one was a little cozy but not too bad. Get there early or else you will be waiting for a while!!!! Definitely going back

Sean Fink

Had the biscuit with chicken and gravy. It was so delicious!!! Also, the grits with shrimp are great as well. Will definitely be back.

Joann Hamilton

This is a must visit for me everytime we visit Baltimore. Miss Shirley's is a local institution for good reason. They have amazing food and customer service, and are very accommodating for those with food allergies and intolerances. On our last visit, after the server took our order, the manager came by to confirm the food allergies I have to gluten and dairy, and wanted to make sure if cross contamination was an issue for one of the dishes I ordered. I thought that was awesome. The gluten free pancakes are one of the things I always order, and I miss them when we go back home! I also like their jalapeno bacon, turkey sausage, and the hash browns. The hubby enjoys their grits too. The place is always packed from opening to closing but you never feel rushed and I've never had to wait long for my food. I highly recommend Miss Shirley's.

Dan Hamrick

Fun food, good drinks. My wife had shrimp and grits on fried green tomatoes, I had soft shell crab sandwich with fried green tomato and pimento cheese. But the best thing was the crab soup.

Rodney Morgan Brown

Amazing tastes, flavors, and aromas. Prices are a bit high for some things vs the quantity of food. For instance I had the gravy train skillet for $15.00. The portions were rather small, but tastey. Might help if they gave you thee pieces of chicken, as apposed to two, and larger helping of those fabulous collard greens.

Tristan Kamrad

Julian did a great job taking care of us. He was frequently available and quickly remedied an issue with our order. Overall, Miss Shirley's was a wonderful idea for brunch. We sat outside on a beautiful day and the food was delicious. I got the green onion waffles with chicken, my wife the crab cakes on fried green tomatoes and we also got the monkey bread. It was all spectacular.

Definitely wouldn’t come back here. Customer service is horrible and they do not understand the proper seating protocol is first come first serve. We were told there was an hour wait for a party of 5. After waiting the hour and finally being called we were told we couldn’t be seated because our party changed from 5 to 4 in order to maximize seating. We were then told we had to wait an additional 20 minutes for seating. The mediocre food isn’t worth the aggravation. Good luck if you choose to eat at this below par customer service having facility.

Brigitte

They had a ton of gluten free options to choose from. Loved the gluten free pancakes. Next time I'm in town I must go back. My family also enjoyed the food.

Aphro Kitty82

Good fresh food. The tenders could've been a little more seasoned for my liking but the spicy butter on the cheddar and onion waffles were delish. The Bloody Mary was so good. I would visit again

Taylor

Great food nice price and portions

Saher Hyderali

I loved it!! I got the Maryland Omelette and my brother got the chicken and waffles. We also ordered some pancakes to share. Everything was great! Highly recommend coming here if you’re in Baltimore!

Sherry Welch

AMAZING FOOD!! Jessica was our server she was awesome. The Strawberry lemonade donuts were to die for.

Anthony Brown

It was good to finally check out this iconic spot. Great reason to make your way downtown on an early weekend morning, then walk the harbor afterwards. The menu is expansive and FILLED with many delicious options. I'll certainly return and make my way through the menu.
