I always have great friendly service at this location. I work close by, their smiling acknowledgement is is uplifting on a tough day

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I’ve lived on the neighborhood for several years and have not been able to get service, receive my order or pay without waiting for more than 25 min, for each of these steps. They’re INSANELY UNDERSTAFFED, the entire restaurant has 1 waiter and one person at the store front. Anything from grabbing a croissant to go, or sitting down for lunch is excruciatingly slow. A few of the people working there are actually friendly and qualified, but they simply cannot cope with the volume of customers. A couple of other employees are just grossly incompetent. Avoid at all cost.

Great ham and cheese sandwich. Service has been lacking in multiple locations but it's still great for a quick lunch.

Nice place to go for light breakfast or Finger food (I like to eat) so it's not a place to indulge FYI... unless your a very petite individual

This establishment leaves much to be desired. If you are attracted by the Le Pain Quotidien brand, don't be, these cafes are really different across the DC area. The one in Chevy Chase is not the best. The bread and pastries seem stale, the coffee is often bad (had to throw one away completely, the milk they used had gone bad), the service is really slow/non-existent.

Spencer Jones

They have the best dragon fruit bowl and friendly staff. Fresh bread and good coffee too!

Food and atmosphere are great. Coffee is very weak, not rich, and not French. Recommend a total redo of coffee supplier/roaster.

The food is okay, but the atmosphere here is fantastic. It's a delightful cafe in a city with very few independent coffee shops.

Food great, service not good! I was waiting 15.67 minutes on the phone to order the food! I can’t believe nobody was around phone! This is unexpectedly in center of Chevy Chase!

The space is Airy and open. I love how they use local and organic ingredients as in vegetables, dairy, honey, grains, fruits and eggs. The coffee is full-bodied, strong and a little bit on the bitter side for my taste. They have varieties of tea and my favorite is fresh mint leaves. It goes very well with a little bit of honey. I can create my own Moroccan mint tea. The service is always good even at their busy time. My favorite bread is the cereal multi grain with raisins. It is great as a toast with tea! I definitely recommend this place. Ample free parking and outside seats.

I love this place, really good food, pastries and coffee, great customer service also!

Overpriced Starbucks or ABP with disinterested staff and grounds in the coffee. Food was tasty enough but there are a million cafes and bistros with superior offerings for the same price

Food is top notch and excellent quality. Location needs better consistency with availability of menu items.

LPQ in Bethesda has a much better and different selection of food. They do not validate parking here. The space is also too tiny for the amount of foot traffic.

This place has organic food. They have very tasty food. They have dessert, salads, sandwiches. Great view and patio seating available. Trendy crowd and good for a date.

over priced good and weird management I mean sometimes the staff and the manager Osma make a scene lol it's a drama restaurant you won't be able to enjoy your meal while you're there

Martin Salmen

Great place for eating pastries and small dishes. The management is always very attentive to customers' needs and makes the experience intimate for those passing by. Since new management has taken over, one can really see the difference in customer service. Well worth a visit!

The food is Ok my latte was cold and our waiter was pathetic he wanted the chocolate spread jar to give it to the table next to us and he said to us " the Jar cost about $10 so we can't just keep opening new jars " we were speechless and agreed that was our last time there !

Had a vegetable quiche that was very good served with very fresh greens. A pot of tea, took a star from the visit because the lid was cracked and it seemed it had been glued but not neatly and it didn't look nice.

Soft and no so fresh baguette used to take away sandwiches. At 8$ a sandwich, you would expect fresh crispy baguette.

The food we ordered was prepared well, and quickly. The croissants were toasted and not burnt as they often are at other establishments. We have easily paid half as much for the same quality order outside of the Bethesda area. The 20-something waiter consistently addressed my wife and I as "you guys" - my wife is definitely not a guy, we are in our 60's, we are not regular customers, and there is no other reason for such familiarity or lack of consideration - especially at an "upscale" bistro. We were seated near the restrooms which did not particularly bother us, but our waiter and other staff consistently left the door half ajar after using it - within 4 feet of our table. Neither of the two bathrooms had towels with which to dry our hands when we arrived at 9:00 AM.... how can closers leave the place unprepared for the next day? After requesting the bill and making obvious preparations to stand up and leave, we CV o UI kd not get our waiter's attention for fully 15 minutes. We enjoyed the food... but nothing else. We won't be returning though we regularly visit the area.

The croissants served here are as good as it gets being airy, flaky and buttery. Their drip coffee is also excellent being strong, but not overpowering, and smooth tasting. Perhaps a bit pricey, but so much better than the schlock served at S-bucks. I've also tried the cranberry scone, a chocolate twist pastry and a cheese/almond pastry which are all very good. The outdoor seating option is quite nice too. My only wish is that they'd open earlier in the day to accommodate folks like me who are on their way to work. A few times when I've showed up a few minutes after their 8am opening, they weren't quite ready to go. Well worth a visit for pastries and coffee.
