The renovations make this a very inviting destination. Very thoughtfully done and, to top it off, the food is excellent.

Nathan Simpson

Amazing! Great food and stellar staff! Really good value for the price! So good we are going back tomorrow!

Chris Monroe

Surprisingly good, and an ambitious menu that includes local standards, vegetarian fare, diverse bar. We had fish and chips (excellent), fried clams (excellent, take it from an old-timer who knows), and a vegetable curry that blew doors off the rest. All reasonably priced, neither expensive nor inexpensive. We had a great lunch, and it's nice to see a new business so busy, even a bit noisy. But here's a pro tip for the staff: when you're caught in an honest billing error (pie turns out to be $7 instead of $4.50), you don't say 'aw gee shucks, you must feel deceived, but it was just a typo, okay?'. No, you say, "I'll be happy to refund the difference or take it off your bill, straightaway, and thanks for pointing that out." Otherwise, you leave the customer standing there with a bad taste in his mouth for mentioning YOUR mistake. $2.50 is an espresso, after all.

Excellent scallops, lobster dip, and other entrees, plus a casual dining menu. Nice people, good view down Water Street from the new, enclosed porch, of the harbor and Long Island.

Traveling from Wyoming and Washington State, awesome staff and amazing food was what we were hoping for on our trip. We were not disappointed. They were every quick to accommodate our large group, and did so with welcoming smiles. The cocktails, food and service were excellent. Can't wait to go back again before we leave.

The staff of Sandy's went out of their way to accommodate our family of 10, and made it a special time as we celebrated my sisters birthday. The food was fabulous and the service was spectacular! I could not have asked for better.

Delicious lobster eggs benny

Lovely atmosphere. Service was a little off with only one waitress. Three times there and food, especially eggs Benedict, was not hot. The prosciutto wrapped dates stiffed with goat cheese were like lumps of charcoal. Prosciutto does not need to be cooked so the dish would have been better served cold Much better flavor. Need NA beers, wines and sparkling ciders! Great addition to Blue Hill restaurant selection. Very nice evening.!

Great food, ambiance and friendly service. The curried fish stew is a special treat on these frigid winter days!

Coffee was decent Service was good My partner had an omelette which was tasty but the veggie portion was meager. I had blueberry "stuffed" French toast. The blueberries were few. The "stuffing" was simply a pad of maple butter between the overlapping thirds of the French toast. Tasty? Yes. But not what I expected for the $12 tag. We wanted to support the local business, which we did, but probably won't be returning.

Dee Goodman

Excellent! First time I was there for lunch. Got the summer salad... wonderful! The blood orange vinegarette was amazing. Went the next time for dinner! Another excellent food adventure. I highly recommend the fresh lime juice margaritas. Service is excellent and sitting on the front porch with a view of blue hill bay ain't too bad.

I already love this place. We had such an amazing and delicious late breakfast there yesterday. I can't wait to go back. It is centrally located in the heart of downtown Blue Hill. You can enter from the back/side entry way. It's in a historic old building but with tasteful, modern touches and beautiful table seating and relaxing spaces.

Laid back, perfect Summer Vacation eatery. Elevates dining above the commonplace without being pretentious. The servers were attentive and what I found particularly charming, exhibited a joi de vivre with their interactions with the customers. Our server, Aliya, was helpful and friendly. Her recommendations were excellent and the food was wonderful. Sorry we “discovered” Sandy’s toward the end of our vacation in Maine as we would love to go again. Always next year!!
