Yum!! And what a warm, cheery, welcoming place! It was a super yummy egg Sammie and, as I'm not a coffee drinker, it was a welcome sight to see some fun hot drinks that aren't coffee based.try the Salep. It's like a cookie in a cup <3 Not overly sweet, but nice flavor and milk based. Super friendly staff, clean public space, everyone was smiling. What's not to like??

My favorite cafe in Portland! It's a really cozy space and the staff is very kind, it's obvious that they've developed strong relationships with their frequent customers. Highly recommend the Maine Honey Chai, especially the blueberry lavender, and the baklava.

In a town of baristas on every block, this place stands out. The crew here is friendly rather than pretentious. The coffees and teas are delicious, as are the eats, especially the egg sandwiches. There's a nice seating area outside, and the vibe is unpretentious. It may be out of the way for some, but I choose this over other Portland coffee shops for its authenticity and just plain goodness.

Wonderful service and a fantastic menu. They have everything from hot coffee, to cold brew, iced coffee and tea. Their breakfast food is really good as well. I had a chorizo and egg breakfast sandwich and it was really good. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Usually a lot of people present early in the morning, but not too too crowded. The Coffee ME Up team is really nice and polite. I went here for a couple of mornings in a row when I was in the area and was very pleased at the menu and services received.

Baristas seem knowledgeable - they genuinely care about their coffee and customers. They offer some unique things I haven't seen elsewhere - Turkish coffee and single origin espresso, for example. When I visited they also had unique specials: an Earl Gray iced tea with cinnamon and orange, and a dirty chai with clove. Their restroom is single-user and therefore gender-inclusive and trans-friendly.

Tasty sandwiches friendly staff and innovative warm drinks can be found here. The coffee was well brewed and well presented. The paninis tasted great and were crisped to perfection. For drinks, highly recommended is the salep, a traditional Turkish warm aromatic milk drink. Overall solid experience and great ambiance.

In a city seemingly saturated with hip coffee shops, Coffee ME Up is a standout. The young couple who run the shop appear committed to providing top value to customers. They try to source products locally where possible, make smoothies from whole fruits without added sweeteners, serve amazing cold brew from stainless steel with filtered water and they flush the system every day, and they bake their products in-house. Best meringues ever. I don't even drink coffee much, and I love what they brew. And they've paid particular attention to creating a warm atmosphere with great ambience (and many available power outlets!). I rarely write reviews, but I was inspired by these folks. This is a business worth supporting!

I had the best egg, cheese, avocado sandwich here! They have this super amazing house spread they put on before all the other ingredients that will knock your socks off! It's made of mashed potatoes and roasted red peppers (I think) and it reminded me of pimento cheese. It's just the right amount of kick to tie the whole sandwich together. I can't wait to come back to Portland to have another one! Super friendly staff + cozy little shop as well. Highly recommend!

My boyfriend and I decided to try this café out after our original breakfast plans got ruined, and it turned out to be the best experience we've had in a while. I am a current Starbucks barista, and he used to work for Starbucks as well, and we both are very picky when it comes to coffee and customer service. We both started off with pumpkin spice lattes and a bacon, avocado, egg, and cheese on an English muffin, and were so impressed with the quality that we ended up purchasing small drip coffee, a hot chocolate (pictured), iced chai latte, and a bag of ground coffee. Every employee we spoke with was extremely nice and worked to get to know us. The café was quaint and homey, and I'm convinced that they serve the best hot chocolate I've ever had. We will definitely be returning often after this first visit.

I'm rating this place based on atmosphere & friendliness at the counter. This place has a nice vibe & great windows to look out of. The owners? / counter help? were friendly & helpful. I think Cher was playing the whole time I was here. I was charmed by how the music wasn't the same trendy stuff you hear everywhere right now. If you're looking for amazing coffee, I would say meh. The menu looks good over all & I would come back to try more, but I'm not a big fan of coffee by design. The pluses of the breakfast sandwich I had are that it seemed very fresh and the chorizo was spot on the right kind. But overall the flavors didn't meld that well and it was just fine, not great. Still enjoyed the experience & would come back.

Yet another great coffee shop in Portland. Coffee is from coffee by design and was very good. Servers were very friendly, enjoyed their jobs and seemed to remember everyone that walked in (must have a very loyal clientele). All the interior furniture was custom made using what looked like reclaimed materials. I sat there for an hour and the crowd was diverse: Sunni Arab from Iraq with 2 other older people having a lively discussion, 2 people speaking some Slavic language, younger people and 2 older ladies who were helping each other onto the curb from their car, canes in hand. Clearly a center of community on Cumberland

This place is clean, sweet, and authentic. The owners are Albanian, and the place gives you a little bit of a nostalgic eastern European feeling simply because of the warm service you receive. I love the drip coffee, the liptao spread on the breakfast sandwiches, the pastries, and the cooler drink selection of juices, etc. I still need to try the Turkish coffee and some of the other hot drinks. I get excited every time I make a plan to stop by here on my way to work, or on my way home.

Super cute and little place perfect for a morning wake up coffee. The pastries are delicious and the prices are fair. View of the city is nice as well and it's walkable from old port. If you are visiting and don't know where to start your day or even if you are a local and haven't tried this place, definetely give it a super try because you are not regretting this decision. The staff is friendly. I think the owner was taking orders at the counter, she was a cute little older woman with am accent and she just made the whole dining experience way better by bringing a personal yet foreign touch during my time there. It was a huge mistake of coming here. It took more than forty five minutes to get our food ready, and let alone that was bad enough. The food wasn’t even that good, it was a simple below average sandwich that I continued to dislike every bite I took. We found this place on google maps thinking it had a good rating, but were we wrong. Absolutely do not recommend coming here at all. Super bad experience... wish we could have had better.

Early morning visit turned out GREAT! Had great coffee and also a very refreshing smoothie that was already done and chilling in the ice basket for a quick grab, brilliant! Turkish cheesy borek, and some chocolate croissants to accompany our amazing coffee made the visit that much tastier and memorable! Staff was very friendly and place looked clean and neat! The breakfast sandwiches really are good, however for what they serve they should attempt another choice of muffin. The one they serve it with now it's blend, a bit soggy and something from a discount grocer. Almost anything would be better. I plan to come back and try some of their baked goods next time. Parking is Street only, but just go round the block and you should find something. I suspect many customers are in waking distance, and might just get take out, but check the GMB page for what Google thinks on how busy it is, as there isn't a huge amount of seating. Really nice to see more coffee shops like this one on this side of town.
