The espresso shot was average my wife's latte was to her liking. The atmosphere is very nice and quiet on the off season. There isn't much seating if you want a place to sit for a bit. There is also no wifi access. I can understand why some places do this but I wish places would indicate this to manage expectations.

Really good European style coffee albeit a little bit of a tourist trap. The best thing is they had oat milk. This place seems to roast its own brand of coffee beans which is a bit on the dark side, and had too heavy of an aftertaste. For a coffee connoisseur as I, the venue seemed to serve a bit over-roasted coffee which main menu items having a lot of sugar to cover the fact of inferior coffee beans. All in all I may come back here if the line is short and I have a sugar crave.

I came in looking for this amazing lobster roll I remember having there a few years ago only to find out they no longer offer it... but then I was enticed to give their lobster crepe a chance. I was very sceptical... but wow, oh wow, it was so good! The lobster was lightly dressed with mayo and I think seasoned with dill. It was as amazing as I remembered. But then there was the crepe. It was light and buttery and had this beautiful aroma that filled your nose with every bite. Thank you for convincing me to take a chance on your amazing lobster crepe. I will be back soon.

This is a really cool coffee shop. It is expensive but the coffee is absolutely excellent! It has limited hours, so you must go in the morning if you want any coffee. I would highly recommend getting the iced coffee here – they’re cold brew is out of this world, perhaps the best I’ve ever had. There is very limited seating no outdoor seating. Service was friendly and fast. Overall I highly recommend this place.

Chris engaged in conversation with us vistors as soon as we walked in the door. We hoped the coffee held up to expectations after we had such great customer service from the crew and we were not let down! A range of flavors and creative drinks (the maple syrup is a must!) left us very pleased. We enjoyed this coffee joint so much so that we came back same day towards the end of the day. Chris asked us, "Weren't you in here earlier?" It was great to be remembered! He talked to us about coffees, brews, and how to properly brew iced espresso. He even let me try it! Yes, we're the ones from "Pennsyl-tucky" who would come back to your shop as soon as we go back to Bar Harbor! Thank you for excellent service and fantastic coffee!

We went here almost every day (and sometimes twice a day) while we were here on vacation. The coffee drinks were not mind-blowingly good, but it was very good coffee and the service was great! I didn’t catch the owners names but everyone we worked with was super friendly and on top of it. Plus it was in a great location! Definitely stop in if you’re gonna be in Bar Harbor!

Probably the best little coffee shop in Bar Harbor. Not quite to specialty coffee level, and the coffee was definitely not mind blowing, but good place for a caffeine fix quick. Theres a lot of white girl drinks, which looked appealing and I'd definitely get one if I had stayed longer, but their Espresso was on point. Cant comment on just their plain coffee by itself.

definitely worth the price. incredibly smooth, not too sweet, and very friendly staff and owners. they have plastic-free cups and straws that are made out of corn! just make sure you don’t put them on the dashboard. the owners says the top will shrink

My husband and I were in town this weekend for the first time. We love great coffee and decided to try a different place each morning. This was our second mornings stop, let's just say it was too good to not go back the next day! Excellent service and quality, crepes were fantastic and quick! A bit pricey $30 for two iced lattes and two crepes but honestly worth every dollar! We will be back next year!

The lady who takes the orders and runs the cashier knows her stuff....I ordered what I thought I wanted but she realized what I actually meant and explained the difference to me. And it turned out to be perfect and exactly what I was craving. Will go back tomorrow!

I hate to give a two star review but this place definitely deserves it. I was excited when I first read all the positives about this place, however ended up being very disappointed. I ordered a cappuccino and was dismayed to find that they offer single or doubles but only as 12oz drinks, twice the size of your standard cappuccino. Not only that but a cappuccino is $4.25, a dollar more than most places charge and 50 cents more than a latte which should technically have more milk. Worse than that, the milk for the cappuccino was way to aerated and dry, not a nice microfoam like it should be and also much to hot. The shot was over-extracted with a burned and bitter taste. While I went in with high hopes I can't recommend this as a great coffee shop.

I visited recently while on a vacation. It was cold and windy outside. My solution was the hot chocolate here!!!!! Incredible and definitely warms you up. Very friendly and prompt service! Standing outside the shop, you will quickly be drawn in by the delicious smells.

Stopped at this place before and after our Acadia by Sea tour and then a couple more times during our stay in Bar Harbor! Friendly staff and a cute shop! They are very quick to turn the drinks around! Much faster than a typical Starbucks in a big city and they have better options! They even roast their own coffee. The watermelon lemonade was perfect! Not too sour, not too sweet, and just the right hint of watermelon.

Coffee bound is one of those little shops that blows your mind. Excuse the pun, but I'm barking mad for their specialty drinks! If you are feeling a little snack, the little blueberry pie pockets are phenomenal and easy to eat while you explore the town! This was by far the best coffee place we tried during our Maine trip, and once of the best we've found anywhere. If you like coffee, you need to try this place!

If you're ever in Bar Harbor, you HAVE TO go to Coffee Hound coffee shop. The owners, Chris and his wife, are SO nice and knew exactly where we had traveled from! 1. Their espresso is amazing. Get the americano (or whatever your preference) but we can vouch for their greatness. ☕ 2. Their bagels are baked by some Jewish guys in Brooklyn and are really good - if Chris is there, ask him to toast it with butter on the grittle. It makes ALL the difference. 3. Their crepes are THE BEST we've ever tasted. Ever. We had the one with Maine blueberries and it literally melts in your mouth.

The lattes are really good here, however the service wasn’t great. The servers are rude and rush people through the ordering process with a nasty attitude. The atmosphere wasn’t great either and there is nowhere to really relax as it is a small place. If you’re a tourist looking for a bathroom, note they don’t have one in the building.

They were the best crepes I've ever had. A great place to stop if you are in Bar Harbor! Much better and more unique than most coffee places there.

These guys love their coffee. While the owner poured my cup, he described his annual trip to South America to pick the beans to roast. I might not have the palate to distinguish such a level of care, but I appreciate the dedication. In some small tourist spots, you can find a shop owner who just puts up with tourist. Not here. He made us feel welcome even as we stared out the window at the view of the harbor.

I found this coffee shop in a trip to Maine. It's local and they roast their own coffee. I highly recommend them. The light roast is very smooth and has a natural sweetness to it. Then for specialty drinks I recommend the lumber jack. It's a dreamy peanut butter and mocha flavor.

I don’t normally drink coffee but sometimes when I’m with my wife (the addict) I’ll get one if they have cool flavors. They did and I can’t remember what it was but it was 100 times better than my wife’s. The people working (1 was the owner maybe) were really nice and helpful. The place itself is small for a relaxing sit but if it’s not raining the area has the perfect view to not waste inside.

Coffee lemonades and other drinks were excellent. However they were a little pricey probably because they cater mostly to cruise passengers. If there's a ship in town it can be quite busy in the line can be kind of long. But they do a really good job getting the drinks out quickly. They also serve a variety of small pastries and sandwiches. Very Limited seating inside.

Friendly staff. Overall the shop could make some improvements. The store is small and narrow. There is not a handicap or stroller accessible ramp. We went only two hours after they opened (9am) and they were out of all breakfast sandwiches. The lady taking orders was nice and was able to make a recommendation of places to go which was nice. Everyone got iced espresso varieties highlighted on the menu, though satisfying they were pricy (~$6 and change).
