Nice cafe to meet up with friends for delicious sandwich choices. Also displayed for sale are a variety of quality handcrafted gift items, jewelry, kitchen items, stationary, etc ...browse through these as you await your order. Cozy, friendly atmosphere. If you bring your dog ..... water bowl provided outside and a couple of tables for you to dine at while your pet relaxes as well.

I used to be a frequent customer at CIA when I was working near Millcreek. The food was good and the coffee was usually great. The local art is nice to look at and the prices are reasonable. It can get very crowded inside when it is busy, but there is a lot of seating and a very comfortable environment when it is quieter.

Cold day and we were up in Maine for a short stay. Sandwiches were hot, greens were fresh and no complaints to be heard. Ice cream was a hit with with the kids. Highly recommend CIA as a stop in South Portland.

This is one of those dumbfounding instances where I just wish the business was better. Their coffee is fine, their storefront is clean, but that's just not enough for 5 stars. My experience: I went to the Knightville Cia Cafe near my place for a month straight. At least 5 days a week, same time every time, same people behind the counter every time. I ordered a medium black coffee, no room, and even brought my own mug, the same mug, every time. The point is.. at the end of the month they were still greeting and asking me what I wanted like they'd never seen me before. Never once did they act as if they remembered me, or remembered my drink order. So.. what's that about? In this day and age, when you go to a local coffee shop at 7am in the morning, every morning, and greet the staff with a smile, and pay $2.20 a cup, in a mug you brought from home to save them money on paper, etc., when you could have saved the money and made coffee at home, yada, yada.. the LEAST they could do is start to remember your face. As hard as I've tried I refuse to believe that I am the problem here. But it's not really about me and my experience with Cia Cafe, it's about yours. I won't be going back. At some point you have to make a value judgement, and I am just here to tell you I've made mine. And since I consulted a few other locals.. ..Lily responded with, "honestly it's way more memorable that they don’t remember you, as opposed to if they couldn't remember your order." So, to Cia maybe I was just a number. If that is so, I am a number they can subtract. All the best, go to BARD or spend a few extra minutes at home and make your own. Thanks!

On one random Saturday morning, this place was packed. A variety of activities were being engaged in, socializing one on one or in groups, some solo surfing on their laptops and others just popping in to grab a coffee & go. Clean restroom.

The food and coffee are great here, although this location is much more crowded than the newer one in Saco. Still a great place to enjoy a coffee and lunch when in South Portland. Not a great location if you are planning on bringing a laptop and working while you eat as it can be very busy and noisy.

The best coffee shop in your neighborhood. I like the coffee, breakfast sandwich and BROWNIES. I really love their brownie. I think they always make it fresh because the sold out before the end of the day. The shop decorated with the picture and there sell some local product which is nice and handmade.

A light and cheerful location on the corner for studying, meeting friends and a little time off. Parking in front is normally available. They also have pastries and light sandwiches.

The bagel and cream cheese we're good too, but I'd probably opt for a breakfast sandwich the next time I stop by and maybe try a single origin coffee instead of the blend I had today. This is such a nice location for this cafe in a nice part of the city. The only potential problem is those who are easily frustrated with parking, as it can be tough to find a place to park sometimes in this area. If you're not afraid to walk from your car a little, you'll find it worth the trip when you experience the delicious coffee and food that CIA has to offer.

It's a Small and a very cozy place with lots of sitting. Also, seemed kids friendly, with a couched area where parents with kids would be the most comfortable perhaps. I think the lovely girl on skates was Jeannie, she is this sweet blonde that skates her way around the register and the small bakery area behind the counter. She chatted with us after we told her we were visiting Portland and were traveling back to San Francisco soon. Her baked goods were amazing! The coffee was delicious! The atmosphere in the place was just so chill we didnt want to leave. Next time in town, we will definitely come by. PS: The CiA sticker is to be put on the golden gate for you Jeannie. Thank you
