This Coffee Shop is classified in the category of Cafe.
Staff was very nice and engaging. Coffee was great. Clean and comfortable atmosphere.
The best drinks
Decent breakfast spot, friendly staff. I got a table, but it was quite busy. Does take away coffee, etc as well
It's a cute enough place and the service is fine. Like many coffee shops in busy areas it attracts a fair number of... urban outdoorsmen. I can't really blame them for their clientele but I don't care to spend much time here because of the people who frequent the place. The coffee is slightly better than your average Starbucks.
Staff was very unwelcoming! Didn’t want to be bothered with any questions and had attitude when we asked for extra ice in our coffees! As we were walking out the manager/employee stated with a smirk on her face “sucks to suck”. Cute place but def wouldn’t recommend it!
Good food, good value, great staff
Pretty good food, but man was I turned off by three fat guy in a ripped up madonna shirt that didn't look like he had showered in 2 days making the food. Be as eccentric and unique as you want, but still at least pretend like you're a professional.
Breakfast was excellent. Coffee was super good.
Been going here for years excellent staff excellent food. Highly recommend
Loved this place, went to NO as a getaway with my husband, we have been a few times now. 2 mornings we got up and made sure to go to Evies and get our coffee fix. I loved the Iced coffee & what I loved even more was that they have simple syrup, creamer, & honey all self serve for guests. My husband got the caramel latte and he loved it as well. Quick service & the lady that took our order both mornings was very friendly, i think she’s either manager or owner I don’t know either way best coffee in the French Quarter & they have outside seating too!!
Locals only. Free wifi. Street kids hang out outside. Really good alcoholic coffee drinks. And they still pbr.
Nice choice of Lattes. Would definitely visit again
A little walk away from the busiest areas of New Orleans, and worth the walk. The breakfast selection is wide enough for all tastes and they have a huge array of coffees, too!
Hangover relief in a cup!
Very laid back coffee shop with breakfest, lunch, and various adult beverages. I come here whenever I am in New Orleans, in fact that is where I am now.
Wonderfully weird and fabulously fast. Their breakfast in a cup is yummy.
Great place to go for a quick bite! I had the breakfast sandwich and a iced mocha and both were good.
Small but the breakfast was excellent. Great omelets.
Always a great coffee and a smile. Give the Bagel and Lox plate a try. Lots of teas and coffees to choose from. Locally owned.
Hippster wanna best hang out here.
What a wonderful find. Delicious coffee--skimmed milk provided - first lace that offers it. Efficient, friendly staff serving great food. A cool, airy environment... Hard to leave!!
Envie too close to envy and entire Enterprise abets low-ball immediate gratification...
Great food, decent price, nice service, delicious coffee, desserts!
Excellent food and coffee. Great atmosphere and place to chill for a while.
Warm atmosphere. No frills local coffee shop. Serving food and beer as well.
I've lived near this place for the last 10 years. The service and food and drink has always been impeccable.
We were in the area and commented on not having a good selection of late night coffee places. Stumbling across this gem in the Quarter. Wonderful desserts, try the cheesecake YUM! and great lattes. A+
Good local coffee bar a la Starbucks.
Great spot for breakfast... I had the breakfast in a cup. Everything was made fresh and served hot. Staff friendly and kind.
As a black coffee drinker, I love being able to get a Medium coffee for less than $3. Many places in town charge over $4 for the same size cup that goest for $2 and chance here. Coffee and food are both great and the atmosphere can't be beat. Love to sit indoor/outdoor when they open the big floor to ceiling doors up and a breeze is kicking.
Excellent coffee and the breakfast sandwich I had was fantastic. The place has ample seating too.
I would recommend a salmon bagel... The salmon was gross. Everyone else's food seemed fine. Coffee was good. Servers were not pleasant. Had to get up from the bar to go get my coffee drinks. Just not a good experience.
My favorite coffee in New Orleans
In a good location, but deco, food and service are all average. PJ’s coffee is a lot better!
Been coming for over a year, service is always excellent, food and drinks are well worth it, chess several times a week
Good for coffee, hang out, internet and friends
Coffee is just okay but the food is better than expected at this spot. My mom loves their chocolate muffins while I enjoy the breakfast in a cup.
Even on an earlier Sunday morning after a long night of hurricanes and grenades this place is serving up fat stacks of French toast and for yours truly, a nice cup of decaf Americano. The price for the quad Americano, equivalent to a large, was $3.80. This is overpriced for the rather bitter tasting coffee, but the open air vibes and casual music makes for a great breakfast spot with the family or a place to read the book at the top of your reading list. The fruit danish had me very tempted as it looked very delicious.
Stopped through here a couple times to escape the heat while exploring the French Quarter. Coffee drinks were good not great but pretty standard set of options. Had a slice of pecan pie which was fine, nothing to write home about. Nice place to sit in the front and watch people walk by. A little quieter than most of the quarter too.
This might be where you find your New Orleans. Buy a cup of chicory. One refill is on the house and it is all you really require for a long day of writing and meeting. Offer conversation. It will be well rewarded. Folks talk at Envie. Just a way of life for a cafe where the line between the street and the cafe blurs. You'll wait awhile for the rest room because no one bars access to the people who live life out in the open. You'll probably want to bring some change to share because someone, somewhere in New Orleans is going to share with you and you want to make sure the tradition of "Laginappe" continues. Try it out, the Laginappe economy. Start small. Lucky you if you are reading this review and can just walk on over to Barracks. Lucky you. The Flora Gallery and Coffee Shop in Marigny is just as good in an entirely different way.
Great cafe vibe and delicious breakfast! The steak and eggs was on point!
Visited this place twice while in town. Nice open air seating and delicious coffee/drinks. White Russian iced coffee is a great way to start your day in the French Quarter.
Great coffee. Decent service
Great staff, and the southern pecan coffee is great!
Relaxing atmosphere, great service... best cofee and food
Great atmosphere and coffee. The cheesecake was to die for.
Easy access location food pastry and coffee are all good seating inside or out is nice options
Great outdoor seating, perfect for people watching in the quarter. Coffee is high quality.
I'm in love with this little place. Hospitality is top notch. I'm always uncomfortable in new places, and they make you feel at home as soon as you walk in. Something cozy about this place. I stopped in twice on vacation. Once late night, and they fixed me an amazing burger & hashbrowns. Everything was cooked to order and perfect. The second time was for breakfast. I had the southern pecan iced coffee with biscuits and gravy. The biscuits and gravy were okay, nothing outstanding. I wish I would have gone with an omelet, but there is always next time! The coffee was really good though, and once again staff was genuine and friendly. Overall a great find!
Lovely helpful staff, comfortable, a lovely place of quiet in busy French Quarter.
Good coffee, amazing cookies. Atmosphere is nice, usually quiet and chill, even when they're busy. There's one member of the staff that always seems less than thrilled to be there, but the others have been friendly and nice. If nothing else, the cookies are to die for and totally worth the visit.
Great prices! Excellent coffee and fast, friendly staff. Highly recommended.
Best place to get coffee drinks leaded & unleaded! And the food ain't bad either! If you're on the go, try a to go breakfast cup. It's a full meal in a cup and Delicious! Service is impeccable and friendly too with a frequent flyer card available as well!
Envie offers a great cup of coffee at a reasonable price. I highly recommend the almond milk latte!
I will refer to it as Bohemian cafe. A local cafe with few tourist. The pricing of the food and drink is appropriate. The portion size is correct. Their biscuits that come with the breakfast platter are very good. If you need to charge your food while eating, sit at a table by a pillar. Multiple plug-ins available. When I am in New Orleans, this will be one of the places that I eat Breakfast.
This is what I call a coffee shop! Great atmosphere, excellent drinks. Furniture and decoration is tasteful. Feels local and people are great. Enough room to sit. And then there's all the liqueur based coffee and espresso drinks which are heavenly. Nicely done. And it is open late!
Great coffee and light fare
Very friendly staff and good value!
Great breakfast sandwich and cheesy grits, and awesome cafe au lait. Great New Orleans establishment
Very nice place.
Loved this spot on my trip to New Orleans. Delicious coffee and great atmosphere for me to get some work done while still enjoying the fun energy of NOLA
There's a line here for a reason. We were here almost every day while we were in town taping/video our vlog. They really appreciated us getting good video footage inside. We're glad we could help spread the word while we sipped and got some great coffee. Just an FYI both of our wives got alcoholic based coffee.. they definitely make a strong one here!
Cute cozy atmosphere, great cake, open late.
Good food and nice spot in the French Quarter for tea and coffee
If you're a tourist or somebody who lives in the French Quarter, Cafe Envie serves good coffee with a decent attitude. It's a great place to meet up with friends over a cappuccino. Historical old bar which is absolutely beautiful. Outdoor seating for those that like to have a cigarette with their coffee. Good menu for small bites. It's a Wonderful Coffee Shop in the French Quarter. Oh and don't let me forget, it's a great place to people-watch!
Good place for coffee and cake nestled away in the French Market area of The Big Easy.Take the Canal St street car to the end of the line opposite the Mississippi River.
Great environment! The chai was excellent!!
Cute little corner cafe. Really good breakfast sandwich and good coffee
Great for people watching, sipping perfect coffee, and grabbing a yummy nosh. Surprisingly easy to get work done here even with the constant influx of watchable people. We spent several hours here, ensconced in a corner, puttering away, over homework and contracts to be reviewed. Everyone was chill, the staff were perfectly attentive, and the outlets worked, y’all!
Consistently some of the best cold brew in town
Great selection of coffee cocktails! Good food. Heidi takes great care of you!
I don't drink coffee a lot and my first time going Gabe made me a delicious almond mocha with almond syrup. I didn't write it down what I'd had so I was worried I'd get something I didn't like when I went back. Well low and behold there was Gabe working again who had remembered what I ordered from a few weeks earlier! Thank you so much Gabe for remembering and I'll definitely be going back!
The waiting time from when I placed my order to when my food arrived was a little long. I ordered a "Wake Up! Burger" cooked medium. When it arrived it was well done. The atmosphere was great, however and the waiter (who was also the bus boy) was working g really hard and doing a great job.
Always a good place to stop for coffee.
Great coffee and staff
Envie is hands down the best cup of coffee in the city. The baristas are friendly and ambiance is great. Outdoor seating is available, which is very nice this time of year. It's a good spot to sit and people watch, or grab breakfast or a quick cup to go before strolling through the French Market, which is only a block away. They also serve alcoholic coffee drinks, as well, which go down nicely on a hot summer day.
Fantastic iced americano, better and cheaper than Starbucks!
The service is superb!!! And it's a great place to do my poetry and write
Great place with great staff!! Will definitely be back!
Great location for a coffee and snack to avoid bigger coffee chains. This location is a converted bar, and they also have a local art gallery in the back. Coffee is on point and reasonably priced. I did not try the food options, but they smelled and looked pretty good.
Gotta have my coffee with Bailey's in the morning! Awesome place
Great service!! Was in several times over the weekend with my local friend, Elizabeth. The farmers omelet was delicious. Had an amaretto frozen coffee, also delicious. The alcoholic iced coffee hit the spot as well! I've heard my friend talk about this establishment for years. She really talked it up. I was not disappointed in the least!!! Beyond the great, friendly service and delicious food, the plane itself was clean and comfortable and the restrooms were also very clean. I would 100% recommend anyone stop by.
Envie Espresso bar And cafe is located near the Frenchman St, end of French market area. Offers great atmosphere and ofcourse known for their best espressos in New Orleans! Wifey and I came across this beautiful cafe tonight again, this time we ordered the Italian Almond Cream I highly recommend this place. Has good vibe and fantastic friendly and helpful staff
Great food and service, despite the kitchen closing when we arrived they still served amazing food.
Yo, this was very good. thank you.
What a neat coffee shop! Will be back.
Whatever coffee they use, I love it! Their iced lattes are excellent.
Delicious breakfasts in a classic setting. Outside cafe seating was nice but hard to come by. Best fresh squeezed OJ I've had in a long time. Staff was ok.
Poor service (rude gentleman). Long wait (for basic coffee). Paid for large... that wasn't filled full. I do not recommend.
When on Frenchman street or in the quarter, this place has become our go to spot to grab a coffee. The pastries are also excellent. Although not made in house, they're purchased from an excellent local source. I forgot exactly where, so I can't write in in here. If you're up for just coffee--you're covered. If you want spiked coffee, also covered! Beer? That too.
The sarcastic barista thing has been done to death. It’s not cute any more
Great alcoholoc frozen coffees
Coffee, location and croissant was good, but salmon was not good quality. My husband ordered omelette, and it was not fully cooked.( vegetables) and they forgot to give him biscuit. But anyway thank you for having us :)
Delicious espresso, had iced americano with almondmilk x3
Excellent coffee, pastries, cakes and meals. Great, friendly ser ice, too
If you want to escape the Starbucks madness this is your place. We got great coffee and delish food for breakfast. Both, panini and omelette were excellent.
Corner coffee shop with light eats and pastries (and liquor - it is the French Quarter after all). Sister to The Bean Gallery. Not a lot of seating, but good for a quick break. I enjoy their tea selection and their coffee isn't bad.
I love Envie. It's a great little coffee shop with decent coffee for NOLA (I lived 20 yrs in the northwest in coffee country) with great breakfast options. (FYI: I Love the hash browns. They use to come with most meals, but now you have to ask for them) Outdoor seating and Tall French doors that open up make it a great place with a cool vibe. Staff is friendly and helpful. The only draw backs are that its often crowded and you can't get a seat. And on busy weekends the food quality and quantity tends to be consistently below par.
Can't complain. It's just that they don't serve alcohol.
Friendly, excellent service, wide selection of drinks and good food. Open conveniently early and late.
Perfect 'local' coffe/light dining place. Not just 'coffeehouse' drinks, but also fantastic elevated cocktail menu
Great coffee! Super delish! Must go!
Great location. Coffee is pretty solid. Cheese grits and breakfast in a cup are great. Sometimes the food is cold though
Frickin GREAT iced alcoholic coffee! Gutterpunk is a 11/10
Best burger in a long time
My favorite coffee in New Orleans. Delicious breakfast and boozy coffee drinks.
Very well made coffee, amazing laid back ambiance. If you want a quick bite/to go drink or want to sit back and enjoy and watch time pass by, this is highly recommended!
My favorite coffee and breakfast spot on Decatur.
I was hanging out *outside*, *quietly* practicing my melodica (about the volume of a normal conversation) and the barista told me to leave because it was interfering with the house music (I think it was the Eagles). It didn't seem like I was bothering any customers. I prefer Flora's on Franklin which is supportive of the sounds of the world, or French truck coffee which actually has decent coffee.
If you want a little local flavor, in the way of real locals, mixed with tourists, this is the place. They have some breakfast and some lunch items. The prices are reasonable. The service is good. This place gets busy and the staff may get a bit weary, please decide what you want before you get to the counter. If you don’t see it on the menu don’t ask for it.
Great coffee place with smooth coffee taste. They have free and fast WiFi. Inside looks like a bar, which is unusual for coffee shops. They have some coffee with alcohol also that I never tried but I just want to say for whom will be interested. They have cookies, bagels, croissants, and some desserts. There are burgers, paninis and etc, if you are hungry. The ventilation is great and it’s chill place to hang out also. They have two clean public restrooms. If you are tea person, they have hot or iced tea also. I drink coffee from here almost every day while walking to my work.
The service was great, the hash browns were amazing, and the environment was super chill! I would definitely go again!
one of my fave spots
We went twice when we were visiting NOLA, once for cocktails and again for coffee. Great early afternoon escape from the heat.
Fantastic coffee, was a nice respite from an off and on rainy morning.
Great Staff- very courteous & friendly, Great Breakfast Food - served all day long, Great Coffee, Desserts out of this world - if you have a sweet tooth!!!!
Had breakfast and boozy coffees here. Food and drinks were fantastic, seating is a bit difficult at peak times, but you can hang and wait for a table.
Great coffee and delicious nitro cold brew on tap!
This place is great! The staff and service are fantastic! We went for dessert and coffee - both were excellent. The two women serving us were great to talk to and seemed to enjoy being there as much as we did. We can't wait to go back for breakfast or just for coffee and a drink!
The employees here are angels!! They're very polite and know how to make someone's day.
love the decal expresso and frangelica
Pretty good coffee cocktails and food!
Awesome cafe with good coffee and delicious food.
Desperately need coffee and this place was filled with locals and tourists alike. Had a great Latte and ordered the French toast, which was good, just not anything special. My daughter's Egg Benedict on the other hand, was delicious.
Super cute and yummy coffee shop. We went here on a rainy, dreary morning and it was so warm and welcoming!
1 block from our hotel. Great chai tea. Biscuits and gravy were a cheap and delicious breakfast.
Had the chocolate frap. My beautiful girlfriend had the caramel one. Both were JUST perfect! A heat beating pick me up!!
The staff was friendly enough, but the food was not good. Probably shouldn't expect much in the sense of food from a coffee place, but this food was far below par.
Went here for breakfast and loved it! The staff was kind and attentive. The food was delicious. Good portions. The coffee was great.
We love the atmosphere of Envie Espresso Bar&Cafe, as well as its coffee and food. Staff is great too. We highly recommend this place to be visited with a view to enjoying its nice coffee and food.
Fast service most days. Avoid during Mardi Gras though unless you have plenty of time.
Stay away from this place! My wife and I stopped based on the reviews, the coffee was ok but the breakfast was terrible to the point we couldn't eat it anymore. I won't go into details but I would recommend anyone to skip this place for breakfast.
Awesome Coffee and Great staff.
They sell girls gone vegan desserts, which pairs nicely with southern pecan coffee and almond milk!
My favorite coffeeshop... super friendly baristas, excellent coffee and tons of other beverage options (including alcoholic) - though the Chai is by far my favorite. They've also got a pretty rockin' food menu (check out their "Breakfast in a Cup"!), as well as scrumptious cakes and pastries. A popular spot for locals and tourists... grab a beverage to go or cop a spot and chill all day!
Stoped in for breakfast and got more than I expected and the servers there were very polite
Loved the option on adding liquor to my coffee beverage!
Staff is super smiley ! They handled the 3pm rush with cheer and grace!!! I'm a local tour guide so it's big for me to have a space to rest up between tours! 100% recommend. Thanks you guys! P.S. the food is great.
Food and drink are decent, but prices are steep for what you get
Love this coffee shop! You can get any coffee beverage you like, including adult versions if you want a little splash of something extra in your coffee! Super nice staff, and a great location. Popular local hangout in the French Quarter.
Good coffee. They also serve coffee w/chocoriy
Great coffee and pastries. Killer omelettes.
A sister of the Bean Gallery in Mid City, this is a great spot for iced coffee at the edge of the quarter.
Never disappointed with the drinks here, caffeinated or otherwise. Pastries damn good too.
We stopped by here for a break during a shopping trip. They made us an absolutely fabulous rose-flavored Italian soda and their chocolate cake and French Silk pie. The two people serving were obviously having a bad day and were taking it out on the customers (the gentleman who checked us out yanked my credit card out of my hand so hard that he tore my nail!), but we had a good time in spite of them.
Food and coffee were very good.
Delicious, fresh food and awesome espresso.
Good coffee place with many variations of what you need
